Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing resort and Staff

The whole experience was great, the staff was very helpful and the resort grounds beautiful and the food is amazing. Exactly what you want out of a holiday in the sun and the beach. Would go back in a minute.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: A great resort

This is a beautiful resort. Very clean. A beautiful big clean beach. You can walk on soft sand. There are activities available. Great drinks. The food was very good and fresh. The staff were available to help. The Theatre was big and had good entertainment. The disco was small but we had fun there. The Sports bar was small but had good food and the staff were nice. Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Wonderful Week

We had a wonderful week at Sanctuary Cap Cana once again! We stayed at this resort back in 2021 and were lucky to stay here again this past month. It was as beautiful and relaxing as I remembered. The staff is amazing and extremely accommodating. The only downside to the trip this time around is the way they are now doing reservations for dinner at certain restaurants. You have to make reservations at 2 restaurants on the resort, and not at the 2 others. The entire reservation process is extreme [... read more]ly confusing and takes a long time to do and after sitting with the concierge for an hour to make 2 reservations, as the day(s) came around for the reservations, they were apparently no where to be found and we were told we were out of luck and no longer had an option to dine there. It is an unnecessarily complicated and ineffective process. This system was not in place the last time we stayed and it honestly tainted our stay overall because of the frustration. We have stayed at resorts that had either no reservations at any restaurants and were first come first serve AND also at resorts that were reservations for all dining. Either is fine. But this system they’ve adopted is not good at all and would probably affect my choices to stay again, I was that frustrated and disappointed with it.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very good resort

Big clean rooms. Not enough lounge chairs and umbrellas. Need more shaded areas by the pool; suggest awnings. We'll kept grounds. Entertainment too late at night for some people. At the beginning the food was too salty but was okay once we pointed it out. Service was very good in the restaurants and bars.

Punta Cana Princess: Very Relaxed Vibe, Great Staff, more like a 3+Star

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Punta Cana Princess. The staff are all wonderful and go above & beyond to provide anything you desire. The resort is small, average age is 40+, relaxed vibe, some night life/music but no disco. Beach area is lovely and nice big pool, you don't feel crowded in any area. The resort definitely needs upgrades to the rooms, fixtures and decor are very dated & showing signs of wear and tear. Beds are ok, pretty standard resort mattresses. As mentioned in the title, the resort is not what I think of in a 5* category, so I would say it is more of a 3+/4 maybe- just to set your expectations realistically. Grounds are very well kept, and it is a short walk between rooms, buffet, restaurants, beach, etc. Food at the buffet and snack bar was decent. Restaurant food was much better and nice to not need reservations! Definitely recommend this for dinners. Beer is Presidente, liquors are no name unless you upgrade to VIP. Although personally I don't that it's worth $35/USD per day, we were fine with no name/generic liquors. Nice that you have to option to visit the 2 family resorts, them seem more up to date style wise and have a coffee bar & ice cream shop to visit. Trolly available, or short walk on the beach. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants a nice low-key getaway and doesn't mind not having all the bells & whistles- if the price is right, grab it for a relaxed holiday!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: NOT A SANDALS RESORT.....BUT A VERY CLOSE SECOND!

We have been to several southern resorts over the years (Panama, Jamaica, Puerto Plata, Bermuda, etc). The Majestic Elegance is by far the absolute best resort we have ever been to (excluding Sandals - in Bermuda). Here's the thing........IT WAS HALF THE PRICE!!!!!!! Dollar for dollar, this is the absolute best bang for the buck anywhere south of Texas/Florida. Full stop. The food was not bad, it just wasn't great. It was okay. Otherwise, we had zero complaints. The facilities where top shelf [... read more]. The staff, always helpful and available. Our room was (relative to other resorts) huge and immaculate. The beech....soft, clean and spacious. Would strongly recommend and plan to return (as many of the guest we spoke to said they are repeat clients). 100% you will enjoy here unless you don't like heat and sunshine......and we are a very fussy and particular couple.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Going back

Will absolutely return, which is the best recommendation I can think of. Trip Central's Monique, was a great help with the booking to help put our minds at ease by answering all our questions so we could enjoy our trip.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Lovely Adults-Only experience

Secrets Tides was a beautiful resort, lovely facilities and great beach. Buffet was very good, restaurants were a bit of a mixed bag, some very good some just okay. Adult-only vibe made it much easier to make friends as people weren't preoccupied with their kids and we enjoyed the relative peacefulness. Only serious detraction was the ridiculous "reserving" of pool loungers at stupid times in the morning for the whole day whether people were actually in the pool or not. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: amazing resort

I just returned from a week at this resort and was enjoying my time so much, I didn't want to leave. The staff are awesome, from the front lobby, motor lobby, cleaning staff, buffet staff, bar tenders and entertainment staff. Everyone was very helpful and ready to make our stay the best it could be. I can't wait to book another week. I have recommended this resort to a few people since I returned.

Punta Cana Princess: Clean, quiet, pretty resort

Small, clean, quiet, pretty resort. Grounds and pool immaculate. Rooms a bit tired and worn but bright and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.Food not outstanding but access to resort next door provides variety of restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet holiday where everything is within easy walking distance this is your spot.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Vacation !!!!!

Hotel was great, very clean, resort overall is very big, food was very tasty as well, chairs were always an issue, not having enough chairs for everyone, people coming early morning before the sun even comes up to save chairs and sometimes not being in the for must of the day, not fair for other vacationers that spend the same amount of money to be at this resort.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Nice resort

We loved the resort and the pools and beach. No complaints there but unfortunately the food was not good. No salad in 2 weeks. I was sick on a few occasions which was not good as I spent this time in the room. We will not be back again. We complained to management and the did nothing. Many people were sick. Had trouble booking a la cartes as they were full trying to book online. I coul go on and on. This resort is not a 5 star. I’d give it a 2.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Nice Comfortable resort

This resort is on the compact side ( not a bad thing) easy to get around. One of the nicest beaches ive seen wide with ample natural vegetation for shade and lots of umbrellas, soft sand. The pools are large with quiet and noisy ends Kids pool in between. There are quite a few kids at this resort, but there seems to be enough entertainment for them that you don't notice them that much. The a la carte restaurants are nice but other than the steak house not a great deal better than the buffet. The servers need more training on sit down dining etiquette As with most places in the Caribbean the trend continues here with very mediocre house wine and the option to buy a bottle that is so overpriced it feels like assault. The bar tenders free pour so the Daquiri you get on the beach may be very different from the one you get in the lobby. Over all decent value for your vacation dollar, but not in the top 5 of downs south resorts I have visited

Secrets Cap Cana: Secrets Cap Cana vacation

We had an amazing week at Secrets Cap Cana! The grounds were pristine and always well taken care of by the friendly staff. We stayed in a junior suite that was lovely, lots of fresh towels and anything by you could need. Our butler Darling was friendly and attentive and responded to our requests promptly. The restaurants available were delicious, we particularly enjoyed Seaside Grill and Oceana. I used the fitness center daily and my husband loved walking the beach. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Complex and Resort!!

The second time to the Bahia Principe complex in Punta Cana and it was even better than the first time. We stayed 10 perfect weather days, the food was excellent and booked a different restaurant every night. The buffet and grill food spots at the beach and pool areas also excellent!! Never bored and staff are so very friendly and superb service providers.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Great trip!

Beautiful resort, super clean and amazing service on the beach from Javier and Michael! Loved the ocean, preferred pool was very busy. Dinners were great, hard to pick a favourite. Only negative would be the poor service from our butler Jamie.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: El baso / El faro trip

The hotel adult side is rated as a 5, we had been to this property in 2019 El faro and now stayed at El baso. We have been to various Punta cana resorts approx 20 times. This hotel is a 3.5. Based on food, service, room condition, check in at El beso (Avery needs to improve on people skills ) and lack of Gluten free options, lack of ambiance in the a la carte restaurants noisy and buffet has better options, italian not good. Moldy rooms our friends room was moldy and smelled horrible, it took 2  [... read more]days to move them and the hotel rebooked the same room to someone else same day who in turn had the same issue. Why would that room not be taken out of service. Issues with front desk completing simple tasks like an additional blanket, filling the beer and water in fridge as promised and some arrogance . Dont put something in writing if you cant fufill it as a tour operator. Entertainment subpar except for fireshow which is a off premise group which tours hotels. Piano bar had an excellent pianist but horrible bar service every nite. Very little gluten free options many staff could not speak english and did not know what gluten free is which is dangerous if you have celiac or food allergies. One restaurant by the beach Villa marina, was never open, others were closed for private events which limited choice. Excessive attempts to upsell wines, beer and lobster at the a la cartes very annoying. We had a good time with our friends and will come back to Punta cana but somewhere else please note their are many great staff here which did provide excellent service such as the Pez damas restaurant at the beach excellent atmosphere ,food and service. The japenese Sakura restaurant was very good. Route 66 was typicall rd house but the hostess needs to lighten up and lose the attitude not much of a cheerlreader. Groundskeepwrs and security staff and bellboys and cart drivers were hard working. Lazy river is awesome,thankyou for topping up our floats. Great service at Mikes coffee and great selection but no gf deserts which you had in 2019. Beach lagoon was fun and safe to swim no reef or rocks. All in all we had a great time , well laid out resort, honest review and everyones experiece will differ based on their interactions and experiences and oh ya no snow to be found !

Adults Only Club at Lopesan Costa Bavaro: Not 5 star category

The hotel and grounds were beautiful. However the food and service was not great. We could not find any loungers by the main pool our entire stay and staff were not helpful. The booking system for the restaurants was frustrating and we had to take inconvenient times. The breakfast buffet in the morning was awful.

Riu Republica: very nice

We liked it very much and expect to get back. Nice resort, well situated on a long beach of white sand. Impressed by the number of chairs, the dunes next to the beach with shade under the trees. Lots of bars including wet bars, some more quiet, others with lots of entertaining. Liked the bar in te room with whiskey, rum, gin and vodka. Big (huge) self serve main restaurant. A second opne on the far side. The a la carte not so good. Good service and the food was quite diverse. Had a gastro a [... read more]fter the spanish restaurant and never went to another a la carte afterwards. I heard other people complaining about gastro on the scuba trips. No sports on the beach, probably because of the wind. Nice waves though and clear water. Rooms are large with air conditioning running without having to keep a key card in the room. Good entertainment in most of the days. If it rained (one evening) we realized that we didn't have to go out in the rain to move almost everywhere on the site, On the bad side for the administration of the resort, the checkin was a nightmare. We did the online checkin in advance. We still spent more than one hour at the special checkin desk waiting in line to discover that our online checkin didn't count.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful resort

The beach was amazing the rooms were very nice and clean the staff were very friendly. The grounds were beautiful and kept very clean. It would be nice to have a few more restaurants. The pool was really nice but a bit cool at first.
