Las Brisas Huatulco: Great spot

Good food good a la carts. Lots of stairs and walking but shuttles are always close by. There are three beaches so a good variety. On the weekend there are lots of locals who come so things get very busy.

Secrets Huatulco: Excellent resort

From the time you enter the lobby, the views are breathtaking. The grounds are immaculate and the service is amazing. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful. Beds are very comfortable. There was an issue with one of the light switches on our 2nd day and there was someone there to repair it within 10 minutes of making the call. Having an a la carte option for lunch at Castaways was quiet with spectacular views. So serene!!!! . Having the cafe open 24 hours was a excellent touch. I enjoyed being able to order a cappuccino to take with me when i went to the Sky Bar to watch some of the most spectacular sunrises that i have ever seen!!!! We took part in the Tamezcal which is an ancient Aztec ceremony. I felt invigorated after even though it was so hot with 14 people in this little domed sauna. The swedish massage was very good. My husbands experience was just OK, however we both absolutely enjoyed the complimentary 90 minute hydro circuit before the massages . My husband loves to body surf . We discovered Playa La Bocana which is very close to the hotel where the waves were amazing. He does not like to go back to the same resort because there are so many beautiful places out there but I would love to go back and because of La Bocana, I might be able to convince him. The only thing that we noted that needs to be improved immensely is the nightly entertainment.

Dreams Huatulco: Beautiful Resort!

This resort has lovely, manicured grounds and constantly being groomed and cleaned. Our room was great and us being Preferred status allowed us to use lounge, well stocked with food and drinks. Resort staff were friendly and very accommodating and went over and above to get anything we wanted. Several pools and towels were available at any time. No wristbands used. Secrets Huatulco: Beautful resort

The hotel was extremely clean. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The views were beyond beautiful. The food was good. The restaurants, it was nice we don't need reservations. The buffet needs more variety and would nice if it was open for dinner. Room service was really good and quick to serve. Housekeeping only one complaint the night turn down service was done really late i.e. 9 pm. Other than that we would not hesitate to return.

Dreams Huatulco: 5 Star resort all around. Amazing and beautiful place.

This is my second time to Dreams Resort, Huatulco and I wouldn't hesitate to return. This is a beautiful hotel, very clean and the service is great. I've been to all the al a carte restaurants and the food is awesome. I love the fact that you don't have to wear a wrist band all week and you don't need reservations for the al a carte restaurants. We chartered a private boat (through Jesus on the beach) for the 7 bay tour. He was very respectful and a lot of fun. I highly recommend this resort.

Dreams Huatulco: Amazing place to stay!

We spent one week in this paradise. Grounds were lovely and manicured, someone was maintaining the grounds daily. The outdoor beach/pool area was constantly being cleaned by staff. Hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, good sized rooms. Food at both the buffet and restaurants was top notch. We especially enjoyed the Asian restaurant. Staff could not be more friendly, helpful, pleasant. And the weather was everything we had hoped for...constant sunshine, about 25 degrees consistently during the day. The day entertainment group was fun but not overbearing. I appreciated the fact that even though this is a family oriented hotel, there were 2 adult pools, one very quiet and one that was more lively.

Dreams Huatulco: Dreams Huatulco Review

This will be my first time reviewing a vacation and I hope to give my honest impression of my trip. We were travelling in a group of 4 adults and had initially intended on staying at Secrets Huatulco. As I had booked the trip less than 2 weeks out I found that the Secrets was not available but Dreams was and opted for that resort. The resort was located approximately 20 minutes from the airport and the process from landing to arriving at the resort took 1 hour. I will say that this was our 4th t [... read more]rip to Mexico within the last year so comparing it to other resorts was still fresh in my mind. HOTEL Well maintained and very clean with workers constantly working to ensure things were kept that way. The grounds were manicured nicely and the layout of the resort was easy to navigate. There were 2 infinity pools( 1 adult, 1 family) overlooking the beach and bay of which the view was beautiful. There were also 3 other pools located throughout the resort. ROOMS Clean and spacious with no issues to speak about. Our bathroom had a large stand up shower with rainfall showerhead. I found the bed very comfortable and the bar and room was replenished daily. Of note make sure that the balcony sliding door is fully closed or the AC will shut off. FOOD I found the food to be OK to good depending on which meal I was eating. Breakfast was standard fare ,omelet's ,eggs various meats and the such which I had no problems. We typically ate lunch at the Seaside buffet which overlooked the beach and Bay. The food was fresh and tasty typically with various seafood, chicken, meats, salads ,soups etc. Dinner options were rotating a la carte restaurants being open on different nights as well as the nightly buffet. You could find which restaurants were available that day by reading the TV screens located throughout the resorts at various points. I ate at the Italian restaurant twice and found that to be a pleasing experience with excellent food. The dinner buffet I found to be OK with nothing fancy but more than enough to enjoy. I would say that overall the food experience was good but not exceptional. SERVICE This stood out at this resort. Having stayed previously at 3 other 4.5 to 5 star resorts in Mexico this year, the pool and beach service exceeded the other experiences. Whether sitting on the beach or by the pool servers worked tirelessly to ensure you always had what you required. It seemed that at least every 15 minutes someone was there asking what you needed no matter where you were located. Every server was excellent but forgive me as I cant recollect everyone's name. Erik, Miguel, Iselda (I think) were a few who made this experience memorable. The beach was beautiful with warm and reasonably calm waters excellent for swimming and enjoying paddleboards, kayaks ,etc. which were free of charge. I also enjoyed being able to walk to excellent nearby restaurants to eat and watch football. Trip to town was 43 pesos in cab and I enjoyed being able to walk around and eat ,drink and listen to music in a safe smaller town setting. Having been to Cozumel. Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Mayan I think for me this is one of the nicest areas in Mexico and will definitely be back. I would highly recommend Dreams ( and especially Huatulco) to anyone thinking of travelling to Mexico.

Dreams Huatulco: A friendly vacation spot

Resort was very clean and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. This was my first stay and would love to go back again soon. Enjoyed every minute of our trip. Easy commute to locations outside the resort.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Loved the Hotel and Staff

This is a smaller resort, across from the ocean. The rooms are large and clean. It has ten stories, built into a hillside. There are 2 main pools, one on the seventh floor and one on the beach. Most of the activities are on the beach. They have carts, constantly going between the beach, and all floors of the hotel. This is instead of an elevator, so it takes a little getting used to, but there was little waiting. This is not a 5 star hotel, but if you are looking for something clean, comfortable and friendly, you can't go wrong..

Secrets Huatulco: Out of this world!!!

The hotel blew our minds! When we first drove up it was open and airy and check in was fast and efficient. Our bags were brought up to our room by the bell boy within 5 mins of us walking in. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The view was breath-taking, spanning the whole bay. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The food was amazing. The spa was relaxing and affordable. The atmosphere was enjoyable. We will definitely be back to Secrets in the future

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets Huatulco - Fabulous resort

Basically a tropical paradise and environmentally friendly. Pools are amazing, views breath taking. Food was good. Staff goes above and beyond. Nice restaurant selection. Beach was awesome - beware of undertow.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Love Huatulco

This hotel is more for the able bodied. There are stairs everywhere. The rooms are up the side of the mountain so you need to take a golf cart to get to them. For the young its perfect and for families as well. The food was not great. It was ok but not great. Beautiful beaches in the Bay. Great for those who like to snorkel.

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets resort

The hotel was fantastic. The rooms were very clean. The town was close by and taxi fare was about 5 to 6 dollars each way. We couldn't believe how clean everything was. The grounds, pool and beach were beautiful. Food was delicious and the drinks were really good. There was no reservations required except the teppanyaki (Spice Restaurant. They had a Mexican fiesta on Friday night with entertainment. There was free kayak tours onsite as well as other activities. They had an outdoor movie p [... read more]laying older movies every night. The staff was amazingly friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Will definitely come back.

Secrets Huatulco: Fabulous Time at an Amazing Resort

Just returned from a week at Secrets Huatulco. This resort does not disappoint . Food was delicious and plentiful. Staff was attentive and couldn’t do enough to help us, especially Lili , our housekeeper. Salvador and the 3 “Bertos” at the pool and Leonor, my masseuse at the Spa. Weather was perfect, actually a little too hot for me. Secrets Huatulco: Great Resort!

We really enjoyed our stay at Secrets Huatulco! The grounds were impeccable, the pool was amazing - it stretched the size of the hotel. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The spa was amazing. Great food and service! Would highly recommend.

Secrets Huatulco: cleanest resort and great service

This is one of the cleanest resorts Ive ever been to. Its great that it is so environmentally friendly, The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are so clean and people clean the pool every day. there isnt a stitch of seaweed on the beach. Fantastic! The service is excellent. The guy making the eggs and omellettes is the happiest lersn ever, Salvo serving drinks is fantastic and constantly happy. Park Royal Beach Huatulco: gorgeous landscaping

This hotel was very clean and I enjoyed the trolley to take you around and to the beach. Loved the big waves at the beach for swimming. Only downside was had to switch rooms due to lrg air conditioners off side of first balcony room- super loud and unsightly.Second room had great view but in all honesty looking at roofs of other buildings wasn't great so I focused on the ocean and palm trees and hills of the mountains. The foods was really good except the pizza at the 7th floor restauraunt was a joke and it was the only meal I got sick from. The cheese and toppings had basically been placed on top of a pre-made boring crap crust. Otherwise, all the other meals were great. I wish I was back there now, I truly enjoyed the whole trip encluding a visit to La Crucecita and to Chdruyi for ice cream and shopping for hot sauces etc. Also, at the beach restaurant, having two kinds of music is annoying, but the food and friendly servers made up for that. I would kill for some authentic chips and green salsa right now. Entertainment was fun but not great.

Secrets Huatulco: Fantastic

My husband and I were on our annual vacation for his Birthday and our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This is our 5th time to a Secrets and it didn't disappoint We thought we would have been upgraded under the circumstances. The room was very nice and clean and Elizabeth the maid did a great job. We had a great view of the Ocean from our balcony - probably the best in the South. The hotel was fabulous. Other than that the food was great and service also. the best was the Castaways where we had a private lunch under a tree with a gorgeous view of the ocean with the seafood filled grilled pineapple boat. AMAZING. Pools were fantastic and clean. Beach was very well kept and the servers worked really hard especially Margarita. THANKS!. Only complaint I would have is the smoking. You really do need to re-inforce that it can only happen in designated areas. Also you should spray for mosquitos. I got a lot of bites which I've never experienced at other resorts. Back from a great vacation the weather was fantastic high30c . The room was great the beds were very great to. This is not a place for a person that doesn't like to walk a lot of hills. But you can call and they will pick you up and drop you off any ware. this is our second time at this hotel and would recommend it food was excellent .And all the staff 100%you have to give it and try and see it for yourself . One thing after you are baking in the hot sun and have a good tanned . You have a littl [... read more]e burn on yourself a day our two before you go home. Take that few min taxi trip and go for a mud bath well worth the 12 p go and enjoy and feel like a million bucks after words.

Excellent seafood, decent vines, clean area. Friendly people servicing my needs. The best part is the climate, you can trust (considering the time of season). Warm and clean water, Unfortunately very strong undercurrent to enjoy a safe swimming. Not far away from the airport.
