Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Nice spot

Hotel was right on the main road so lots of shops as well as the boardwalk. Our first room was on the main level by the lobby & so noisy. After 2 nights we were able to switch to the second floor but there was only a window, no balcony. Rooms are clean & modern. Beach is very rocky & not swimmable due to the undertow. Red flag was up the whole week. Pool was small but good. Food was good but our son-in-law got food poisoning his second last night. Staff are very friendly. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: We had a great vacation.

We have vacationed at Decameron Los Cocos many times. This was our best experience yet. Our room was fine with a comfortable bed, good pillows, and was clean. Cleaning staff did a good job. Mobility issues were taken into consideration and we were given a room in the in the best location for us. We had a room right beside a pool and my wife used it daily - sometimes twice. As usual, Flora was cheerful and made great omelettes, with a large variety of ingredients to choose from. Flora remembered us from previous vacations, and was very welcoming. At The Tropical, the restaurant we regularly ate at, all staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jose and Reyna. Not all staff spoke extremely fluent English, but many were trying to improve their English skills. We never had trouble communicating our needs. All staff and management people were very friendly and helpful. The beach was great and the ocean water was very warm. We felt safe and comfortable walking around Guayabitos. The weather was excellent every day. We required help with mobility needs, and West Jet service at the airports, and in the planes was excellent. We look forward to returning next winter.

Very Mexican. Sprawling resort with many places to have quiet and many places to go and explore. Staff were very pleasant and helpful to us. Food choices were many and always available. There were many Canadian people and many Mexican families as well. Everyone seemed to enjoy the hotel. Rooms were good sized and always well looked after. Thanks Elisa! Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Royal Decameron

The Royal Decameron did not disappoint. We had stayed there 10 years ago for several years in a row and then switched it up for other areas of Mexico. Being back felt like home. The resort is so clean, the staff are bar none the best, and food and drink were even better than I remember. Such an easy going atmosphere, great pools and great beach access. Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

The resort is kept very clean. The grounds are immaculate and the bathroom by the pool/beach was cleaned after every use. Very impressed with that. There were a lot of chairs at the beach which was great no matter what time of day.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Very nice resort

We worked with Sandra at Trip Central and our travel arrangements and trip were very enjoyable and easy. We chose the package which included breakfast only which worked out nicely as there is a beautiful and plentiful daily breakfast. We were able to enjoy the city of Puerto Vallarta and ate out in the evenings which allowed us to take in the culture and delicious food in the very many restaurants that PV has to offer.

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Nice resort

the resort was well kept, first thing was arriving in pv no rep at airport so we had to find our bus on our own, then no paper about seeing west jet rep next day like we have had in past. the bus dropped us off at main gate then had to wait for pickup into hotel. check in was long and first time we had to leave our credit card number with front desk. rooms were ok we were given 2 bottles of water on arrival nothing after that, not a true all inclusive could not use one of the Alacarte unless we [... read more] wanted to pay we did the Koba Alacarte but if you wanted beef you had to pay they had an ice cream stand but that was not included so we were charged for that. no buffet at lunch time they give you menu with limited choices same at beach restaurant which gets repetitive. On beach area closest to water was only for members. no service at pool unless your a member at least that's what i found.2 days before we left a member told us there was a west jet rep there every day between 11.30 to 12.30, went to see him about departure time and it was like he didn't even care. staff for the most part were friendly. we found resort catered to members and not other guests .may be would have enjoyed it more if everything was explain on first day i would most likely not recommend this resort with out a full explanation on how is resort works

Las Palmas by the Sea: It was awesome

It's a great resort. Son (26) and I (57) enjoyed it very much . Love the fact Mexicans was at the resort vacationing also . All of them would sing along of many of the Spanish songs. Loved it ! Friendly ,courteous and bartender David (center bar)always made sure you didn't run out of alcohol lol . Rooms were clean , REMEMBER ITS A 3 STAR HOTEL .! Well worth the trip !

This trip has renewed my faith in Mexico vacations. We were almost at the point of not ever going there again. The rooms were functional and comfortable. The buffet was adequately stocked.The exterior was pristine. Very clean and constantly being tended.The staff was friendly and helpful. The only compaints we have, is because the flight was late leaving Edmonton, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30 at night. The resort was very dark and the person who met us spoke no Englsh. We had to carry all  [... read more]our bags about 1 block to the room. Normally, this would not be an issue,but I am currently waiting to have surgery on my back. The second issue was in the booking of our bus to return to the airport. We were given the time of 4:45 pm. I checked this 2 days before departure. Was reassured that was the correct time.we did all the checkout jobs and waited at the area we were told to wait. At 3:20 a bus arrived. We were asked if this was our bus. Of course I said no. We finally had to be taxied to the airport at 5:00 pm,which was comped by Sunwing. Over all,we were very pleased with the vacation.

This resort has a great location near the malecon ala cart restaurants are very good ,Sunset restaurant good for breakfast lunch dinner....staff is very good and friendly...resort kept very clean....small resort with noisy pool area...some night time entertainment ...good drinks....rooms good but many have poor views unless up pay more or are "club" members they will try to sell you to become travel club member...buffet was terrible little variety cold and poor quality ....beach is pretty good  [... read more]but has lots of rocks and suffers when tied is high

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Loved the Resort!!!

Process booking through Monique and Trip Central was effortless and greatly appreciated. Well travelled but had never been to this part of Mexico. The resort and vacation experience was wonderful. I will for sure go back again. The one issue I did have was the constant pressure to attend a 90 minute meeting to invest in a time share for the property. I was told by other guests that this meeting could last up to 3 hours based on their experience. This pressure started before I was even out  [... read more]of the airport and picked up again as soon as I checked into the resort. And every time I wanted to book an excursion I was told one price but that I would get a heavy discount if I attended this time share meeting. Finally, I advised that I had no interest and that I was fine paying full price for the excursions. My time on vacation was more valuable than a discount. But the pressure persisted. It was like they were not going to let me book the excursion unless I attended the meeting. So I didn't booked the excursion, saved money, and had more time to enjoy the resort!

Riu Vallarta: Amazing

I've been to a lot of places all over Mexico and I have to say that the Riu Vallarta has been the best buffet I have ever seen. Selection and quality. Well done. Staff was very friendly. Cleaning staff was great. Entertainment was awesome and we used the neighboring Riu. Absolutely amazing vacation. no complaints.

Riu Flamingos: Not bad resort

The Riu Jalisco was an okay resort, the grounds were beautiful, the resort was very clean, the food was good, the staff were very good, went above and beyond to make you happy. It was nice that you didn’t need to book ala cartes, you could just walk up and get in, the food there was also good. The only one you needed to book was the steak house and for a steak in Mexico it was actually pretty good. The rooms were ok, dated and the bed was as hard and uncomfortable but ?‍♀️. The shower was small  [... read more]but we are used to staying at a Riu palace where this is bottom of the scale. This resort only has a few ocean view rooms so if you think you are getting one don’t be fooled. All the rooms that view the pool are family rooms with two queen beds, all the other rooms face palm trees which makes no sense because the disco it right by family rooms. This resort has ALOT of children and 20-25 yr olds so if that’s what you’re into then this is the place for you. If you want to hang around mature older 30-60 yr olds you can go next door to the Riu Vallarta and swim in there adult pool. Jalisco does not have an adult pool. If you are looking for an even older crowd that goes to bed early and reads books go to the palace. All in all this is a good resort it’s just not what were thought we were going to. Would I come back?…. Yes if I was younger and with a family for sure, next time I will go to Vallarta…. If I can make a suggestion… go on the rhythm of the night excursion (Riu Jalisco wanted $159 and vip 199, book it at Vallarta and you can get it for $145) Amazon show though

Really like this resort. Although the resort itself is showing its age, it is spacious, kept clean and the staff is friendly. The pools close a little to early, six for most (seven in unit six). The buffets are not super elaborate but have a good selection. The food at the buffets should be kept a lot warmer the soups etc were often rather lukewarm Had a good time overall. People who have been there before will notice changes.

The grounds at the Royal Decameron were beautiful! The pools fabulous! The buffet good. The A-la-cart restaurant, needs work have to give this part a 0 of 10. Rooms require updating! We had a great time here resort (3 weeks) Also the price you pay reflects acceptance of the room condition.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Love this resort

I have been going to this resort for many years now. It is very small, quaint and super friendly!! The rooms are always being upgraded and are very clean. The reason I like it so much is because it’s small, you meet new friends that we meet back every year for our vacations. The beach is a short walk or the hotel supplies a shuttle. Decameron La Marina: decameron la marina

This resort was very crowded and noisy. The property is small and there isn't any green space. The design with the hotel on 3 sides of the pool resulted in noise (as well as Karaoke) bouncing off the walls. There was no place that was quiet. Staff had very limited ability to speak English. The a la carte reservation process was unorganized and only 10 people per day were allowed to reserve.

The staff were very helpful and the grounds were immaculate. The pool areas were well kept too. The entertainment was consistently good. We will most likely return again. The staff were bilingual so it as easy to communicate with them.

This was our first time at the Decameron and we went with lower expectations from reading the reviews and we had a lovely time! In our estimation it is a 3.5 star and that's ok if you go in knowing that. Food was good - always able to find something to eat at the buffets. A la carte restaurants were good also and yes the process to get reservations is crazy but we were able to get in to all of them. Room - large rooms- adequate, yes old but comfortable and cleaning staff cleaned well, no elevators in block 4 so lots of stair climbing but quiet block and close to everything. Able to get wifi off and on around complex. New safes in rooms now. Beach- waves were rough and not swimmable, a croc was spotted one day so no swimming that day. Sand beach was slanted so hard to walk on except when low tide was out then flatter. Always able to find a beach chair at the beach. Lifeguards were well trained and worked hard. Loved the sunshine, warmth and relaxing. Activities- enough going on for our older age group but not a young persons vibe. Night shows were good and entertaining- The host did an amazing job speaking in both English and Spanish and was quite humorous. Thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of staff and guests - met many other couples mostly from Canada. Gorgeous sunsets. Did 3 day trips- PV, Buceries - 30 min walk one way, Sayulita - local bus cost $2.50US each way-30 min ride and was easy to catch and a lovely town to visit. Highly recommend going to Sayulita.

Decameron La Marina: Enjoyable trip

Very clean, rooms , dining areas clean , pool and bars too. Very hospitable friendly staff. Helpful and eager to help when needed. We also liked the sister hotel los cocos that we could visit as well. Positive experience meeting many visiting mexican tourists from various parts of Mexico. Beach area was great . Liked the hotel backed on to a town that we could explore and shop and experience the culture .. would go back !!
