Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Jamaican Hideaway

The hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. There are a lot of restaurants with a variety of food options. Service is quick and the food was tasty. Please note that rooms are very small and a double room contains 2 single beds—not double. This was unexpected for the price of the room.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Beautiful Location!

We just returned from our trip to Royalton Antigua. Beautiful peaceful beach vacation. Hotel room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. First time staying at a Royalton we were very disappointed with quality of food and lack of friendliness of hotel staff. Food on buffet was not maintained at proper temperature, most main course foods were cold. Poor selection of food choices, same food most days with little change. Drink mixes poor quality.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Return Visit

This was a thirteen day visit. We were at the same resort one year ago. We have absolutely no complaints. We will come back in 2025. From our maid room service to the buffet staff, everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Sonavid, our server during the day is an amazing person. She goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the patrons…absolutely fantastic. Annia, in the lobby bar is also outstanding. No complaints about the food…we certainly did not go hungry. Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Good but not great

Nice stay, food soso, beach soso, resort nice, not enough staff, rude from time to time, but likely due to shirr staff. Same company runs Planet H at Costa M. That resort was nicer, better food, and staff.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great water park

The grounds were clean and well maintained with lush vegetation. The rooms were clean though the floor in the bathroom had quite a few chipped tiles. The shower was large but slippery. While we always had bath towels, shower mats and hand towels were hit or miss. The buffet did not seem to be air conditioned, and was very warm even first thing in the morning. The Mexican and Italian restaurants had long lines to get in but the food was quite tasty. Service in the Mexican restaurant was very slow on the evening we went. We chose to spend our time at the quieter pool by the Bubbles swim up bar. The pool was very clean and the perfect temperature. Chairs needed to be reserved early in the morning in order to have one of the very few umbrellas. The water park was great fun for kids and adults alike, with a variety of slides for a variety of ages as well as a whole area for toddlers. The biggest concern was the incredibly slippery floor surface that you have to walk on to get from slide to slide. We saw so many people fall, including our 7 year old grandson. Staff at the water park were very attentive and helpful. The dedicated beach area for guests of the Royalton Splash was very small, and chairs were hard to find . However, there were staff on hand to find and move chairs. The beach was clean, with very little seaweed. We expected to be able to access the amenities at the sister property The Royalton Punta Cana but discovered that we would have to pay to use their buffet, the steak house and the Japanese restaurant. We could only access the Italian, Asian and sports bar restaurants. The arcade games in the sports bar were a rip off. Tokens inserted didn’t start the games, and we were told to go to guest services at the Splash to get compensation. That was not helpful in the moment, with a disappointed 7 year old.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Honeymoon Vacation

Was very pleased on the entire trip. The grounds were absolutely stunning, the staff was friendly and the room was very clean. What attention to detail! The food and drinks were great, will be back for sure!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Good resort

Overall we enjoyed our stay, The food was great, drinks were good. The only issue I had was with cleanness of rooms which was ok but not great. My other complaint is the check in process. We got there tired and thirsty and we didn’t even get a water, also nobody showed us around. Over all I would recommend the resort 8/10

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Will come again soon !

Royalton has the nicest beaches, incredibly friendly staff, rooms are wonderful, good value for your dollar. First time in Cuba and will definitely come again soon. This is undoubtedly the best accommodation in the area.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: 4* hotel

Stayed at diamond club walkout (DC) The perks for DC at this Royalton are not the same as others. They do not have a dedicated lounge. It is the check-in area with a small bar and food. The DC building is located a distance from the buffet, the lobby bar, the café, the Italian restaurant, the French restaurant, the Indian restaurant, and the water sports. There are three bars located on the beach near the DC area one bar located centrally on the beach. No issue regarding reservations at the restaurants I had a man walk up to the restaurant at 7:15 asking if there was a 730 availability and he was granted The buffet is quite lacking in all areas, but they hired a new food and beverage manager three months ago, so it should be on the rise soon there is a small restaurant located on the beach beside DC called nibbles open for everyone for lunch usually a barbeque chicken, pork hamburgers, etc. nibbles is only open in the evening for DC guests The water is Crystal clear. Unfortunately, the red flag is out most days. There are large rock formations everywhere on the beach. They have two dedicated areas where you can swim without rocks, but they are very small areas. I saw quite a few skinned knees. The staff is really friendly, but they are extremely slow. Most places definitely island time. I don’t usually mind slow service except when you’ve asked for coffee three times, you’ve finished your breakfast and your coffee arrives. ( DC Italian breakfast buffet ) Grenada is beautiful and safe and so is the resort!

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Resort exceeded expectatioms

The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. The Diamond Club service was great! Having a butler on call was a new experience for me. I liked the breakfast at the Grazie Trattoria and the food at the Diamond Club Lobby. I ate there most mornings. The room I had was spacious, and clean, and came with all the amenities. I especially like the toothbrush with a mini tube of toothpaste and the shaving kit. I was on the 9 floor and the view was awesome. I loved getting up early to catch the  [... read more]sunrise, and then sitting on my balcony until the first cruise ship came into port. I will ask for this service again. The VIBE team did a wonderful job. The information for that day was posted through the resort. I especially liked the aquafit classes. The pool area and the beach are very well maintained. The Pool bartenders and the pool beach butlers were great. How they remembered who ordered what was astounding. It would have been nice if the resort had offered other canned beer other than just CARIB. The only bad thing I would say about the pool/beach area is that they used plastic straws. A short walk on the beach I found 1/2 dozen of them. The nightly entertainment at the Lobby and in from of Score Brew house were great and I enjoyed every night. The lobby bar staff and waiters were awesome. Quite the selection of martinis. The Superbowl party on the lawn was wow! The staff created the football field and set up a huge screen for the visitors to enjoy. The food options at this event were plentiful - everything from nachos to chicken patties. I tried all the restaurants - Carribean, Grazie, Hunter, the Culinary Experience, the Marche buffet, and Diamond Club bar, and Score Brewhouse. In terms. Food at ar all the restaurants was good. I found the service somewhat slow at Score's. It was a busy night at Hunters and the two share the same kitchen. Still, it took a long time to order to get served.It was disappointing that the score only had two craft beers on tap. I like both but it would have been nice if they had other options. I would rate this 9/10

Both visits [... read more] were in Feb for 2 weeks and we absolutely love this resort! Situated on one of the most stunning Caribbean beaches, the sand is so white and soft and the water so clear and warm. There’s miles of beach to walk. We were always able to find a palapa. The resort has two beautiful, clean pools that are appropriately water filled as this is an adults only resort. The staff are amazing! At The Royalton you’re assigned two alternate butlers. Their job is to make your stay memorable. They are your “go to” people. On our first trip we were assigned Michel and Omar. On this latest trip we had Lester and Diana. All excellent and thorough. Both stays we had a junior suite which were comfortable, clean, had a good sized bathroom with shower and soaker tub. Each night we slept very well on the comfortable mattress. The rooms are dated but that didn’t bother us. More important was that we had a working toilet, hot water, safe, fan and a/c. Wifi was available in the hotel rooms but the service could be intermittent at times. Stronger wifi could be found in the lobby, lounges, and restaurants. Our maid Alina was the best! Aside from always providing a clean room, her towel creations and daily notes were inspiring. The culinary staff continued to offer tasty and nutritious meals despite the food shortages and supply issues currently affecting all of Cuba. Each dinner a new entrée was available. I would suggest taking small gifts for the Cuban staff, for which they are very grateful. Items we Canadians take for granted aren’t available to them for purchase especially medicines, shoes, clothes, hygiene products. There is a reason why The Royalton has so many return guests. This truly is a Cuban gem property!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Royalton Bavaro

Overall our stay was very good. Got tricked into doing a Prime vacation timeshare presentation by our concierge. It lasted about 2.5 hours and after the asked us for 100000USD we had to shut it down. Left a lululemon hooded jacket hanging in the closet in my room. Called and emailed the names I was given eight times and no response. Guessing this is lost to the staff. Should not be hard to check and respond.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

The Royalton is a large resort and the Hideaway is an all adult section within the resort which we enjoyed. The hideaway had an excellent pool area, restaurant and barbecue. One could stay there without going to the rest of the resort. The Royalton buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was extensive and excellent. The resort had 11 specialty restaurants that did not require reservations. Food choices were incredible. The beach was beautiful and the staff throughout the resort were very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent vacation. A special shout-out to Nicolle Kirk in arranging our trip.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A total escape!

We needed a break and specifically did not want to be in a city type area, it was an R&R vacation. Royalton Cancun was ideal. The Diamond Club was beyond excellent, our butlers Enrique & Vanessa were completely thoughtful, proactive & accommodating- we never had to ask for any of the services provided with our stay- they engaged us proactively. The resort is in the middle of many upgrades and you would never really know it because the work is being planned not to interrupt guests. The restaurant [... read more]s and kitchens are all very clean and well appointed. The grounds are kept in impeccable order even after a wind storm the clean up was swift. I look forward to the full site refresh under the Marriott Bonvoy banner but we enjoyed every single day. Just got back from Royalton Riviera Cancun. Overall the resort was beautiful, beach was great rooms were nice and well kept. Pools were good but a little on the chilly side .Entertainment was good and I enjoyed the aquafit class in the main pool. The buffet was excellent and I want to mention some excellent service. Ask to be seated In Orlando's section. Between Orlando and his sidekick Samuel, you will receive some of the best service I have ever experienced in a resort. Also the Carribean  [... read more]restaurant deserves mention. This was our favorite. The chef Luis is a great up and coming new chef. He made our evening twice, serving fantastic meals and personally presenting us with a custom desert plate. Salvador and Cesar provided excellent service. Or favorite restaurants aside from the Caribe were Taj, Algave, Gracie, Zen and Hunters steakhouse in that order. Steaks were good but all sides were served on the cold side. Cudos also to Manuel and Alejandro at the main lobby bar. Thanks for chilling our wine glasses and excellent expresso martinis. Overall we enjoyed this resort but have to cover the bad. We preselected our rooms and paid for the privilege. Our friend who joined us a week later also booked and paid for an adjoining room. On arrival we were told our room was already occupied and tried to switch us to an inferior room in another building overlooking kids pool. After much discussion they put us in a swim up for 2 days and moved us to a room in the same building. Day 3 was spent babysitting our passports while waiting til after 3 for the new room. They did not want to refund our booking fee because our room was in the same building. Also they guaranteed our friend would get the adjoining room. Guess what? She ended up with room on another floor opposite side of building. They moved her to her original room next day and her 2nd day was spent waiting for new room. In the end money was refunded.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great. Family vacation

We just got back from a family vacation here and it was such a great place to go. Our toddler had an absolute blast and everyone was so friendly! We thought the whole resort was well kept and clean. No issues with anything of that nature at all. The restaurants were a bit hard to get into as we could not make reservations (we were not diamond club) which was a bit tricky with young kids and early bedtimes. We did get into a few of the restaurants and we had very pleasant experiences (just not wi [... read more]th the sports bar). I had trouble with the crib provided as it had a thick soft mattress and a mattress that did not fit (2 inch gap around) with a small infant so I did request a new crib and was given a pack n play which worked perfectly for my little guy. Overall we had a great experience as a group of 10 (6 adults, 2 toddlers and two “babies”).

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Cuba at its best!

From the moment we stepped off the bus, we were treated royally. Every single staff member was warm and welcoming. Although the rooms could use a bit of a facelift/refresh, they were very clean, and the bed comfortable. People say the food in Cuba isn't good, but the Royalton definitely proves that wrong. This isn't a "party" resort although they do have wonderful entertainment throughout the day. It's a perfect place to go to relax, enjoy the amazing beach, and soak up the sun!

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: A quiet resort

The staff provided outstanding service, always a broad smile, friendly and helpful. It is a great venue for pure relaxation. I would have appreciated more variety of fruit and fish on the buffet. I would recommend the Royalton to friends and family. Grenada a beautiful island.

Overall I would say the Royalton is a good resort, it does look a little dated, the beds are very firm and the tub/shower is a little awkward, but we did have warm water every day. If people have mobility issues, the shower could be an issue for them, as well as the elevator that does not work, so they would have to get up to the buffet and a few restaurants by using the stairs. They don't have the typical juice options like apple, orange, etc., but they blend fresh juice every morning with what they have, often watermelon, pineapple, guava, etc. We were able to get into all of the al le carte restaurants for dinner and only ate at the buffet twice for dinner, but again lots of options. They had salad options everyday, and they even had leaf lettuce. They had decent wine, red, white, rose and most places had sparking wine as well. A lot of reviews I read said that Diamond club was a must, we did not get diamond club and am glad that we didn't pay the extra. They had a person on our side of the beach that would come and take drink orders for us, and then deliver our drinks. Like I said, we were able to get into all the restaurants without having to make a reservation. I don't know that there is a big difference in rooms for diamond club vs regular? A few people that we spoke to that had diamond club said they didn't get any different booze options. We also have access to butlers, they are there to answer any questions, help with excursion bookings, etc. They were able to book us into a restaurant for our anniversary. We went to Havana for a day trip and booked with Explore Cuba with Lucy. We had a classic car for the day with a driver and Lauren was our guide and she spoke excellent english. It was a full day trip, but she gave us lots of info and showed us all around. Overall it was a good trip, we enjoyed our time away.

Love how close all the bars/pools/beaches were without being crowded! Water was clear and sand white and soft. Waitressing service at pool was awesome!! Omelette station and Crepe station was fantastic and so was self serve mimosas at breakfast!!
