Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Questionable Place

This hotel was questionable, there were wanting to sell you time shares as soon as your arrive. The front desk staff were horrible, we arrived 10:30 am tried at 1 pm were told our room wouldn't be ready until 3 pm. Came back at 3 pm only to be told our room wouldn't be ready until 4 pm. The front desk didn't care to accommodate at all considering we were the first group checking into the hotel that day. When it came to the grounds staff they were amazing.The rooms are very damp that your clothe [... read more]s in the rooms get moldy. There is an infestation of there raccoons to the point that they were jumping up on tables stealing patrons food. When we had booked our trip it would have been nice to have been informed that you were not able to swim in the waters due to the fact that they are land filling to extend the beach further into the ocean. Due to the fact we couldn't swim in the beaches we stayed in the pool, where my fiance his foot on broken tiles at the bottom of the pool. Trying to get band aids is just like to trying to get bottles of water VERY hard to get. The food was good at all the restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet hotel that has nothing to do in the night this is the place for you.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Truly Great stay!

Just returned from an 8 day stay at beautiful Grand Bahia Coba. Excellent and very courteous service. The à la cartes were well setup with very tasteful menus. Accommodations and amenities were also amazing. Great bang for the buck, take the time to check it out and simply enjoy it.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Big Resort

Large resort takes abit to find everything. We booked at adult side so no kids and had to do morning buffets at family side and some dinners which was very disappointing as we booked a adults only resort. Water was dirty at beach and wouldn't go in the ocean. No agenda given to you on day and nightly activities. And again night shows were on the family side. Our room was nice.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Good resorts

I don’t have much to say. Great staffs. Food was good.The only thing I didn’t like is the place that they put the hot tub. Outside in the garden. We couldn’t even use it once because of the bugs, specially the mosquitos.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Honeymoon destination

The Resort is neatly manicured and landscaped from the lobby to the beach. Restaurants are well placed within around the main area except for the beach restaurant. We stayed at Emerald bldg which is situated by oceanfront where it will provide you with a walk out to your own private beach, with a private bar. You will also get a walk in jacuzzi overlooking the beach. They will cater to everything you need and want. Service is top notch. From Emerald to main area, is only 10 min walk- tops. Its a Huge resort. My favourite from all these is that when you do excursions you are the first to be dropped off when you had a long day from excursion, you will definitely appreciate this. I think its because it's in the middle of Mayan riviera The only bad thing is my wife and I got food poisoning for 3 days coming back from Canada which what we called Mexican bug. That's all. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort

The resort itself was beautiful but found the spa prices extremely high as well as our rooms were not ready for check in when we arrived and we had to wait over an hour to get some of the rooms, it was a nice feature to see the turtles hatch thou

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Decant overall

This was a beautiful resort with ok food and decent staff. Room service was good it was very clean. The restaurants were a let down the buffet was decent. Best part was seeing the baby turtles hatch. Wedding site was pretty.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Really relaxing time

Its far from the airport but once you get here the travel is worth it. Its about an hour away driving. The staff were very friendly and we didnt have a bad experience with anyone while we were there. Its very close to a beautiful blue beach which is kept clean every day. The food and restaurants were awesome. My favourite was the Italian restaurant. They have this really swanky japanese restaurant called Tao Cat...also amazing. BRING BUG SPRAY OR YOU WILL GET BIT. THIS IS NOT A PARTY RESORT [... read more].. I REPEAT... NOT A PARTY RESORT. The only complaint I have was that at the snack bar or the italian restaurant the food would take way too long. It got to the point where we left a couple meals because we were fed up with the wait time despite being the first ones there and putting our orders in early. Please hire more kitchen staff for your resort. The waiters were awesome and work very hard. Everyone there works as a team and this shines through at the resort. Anything you need they will accomodate you.

El Dorado Royale: A return visit to paradise

The resort is very spread out 1.5 miles from one end to the other including the Casitas. But it’s such a lovely walk and there are regular shuttles you don’t notice it. The staff are all exceptionally friendly. Special shout out to Felipe who immediately recognized us and said welcome home with hugs. Victor, Gregoria and Israel our servers at Cocotals and Jojos. Eduardo the beach butler, Caesar the bartender at Jojos and to our amazing butler team of Kay, Berenissa, Manuel and Ivan. The room [... read more]s are being updated and we were in a royal swim up suite which was breathtaking. Food, just wow, this is a gourmet inclusive resort, top shelf alcohol on request. The El Dorado team do everything with a smile, Hola and Excellente. No request is too much. This was our third visit and we will definitely be back.

I thought the food and service was amazing grounds were well kept. I enjoyed the infinity pool great view of the ocean. I would of liked a Rep at the resort to show my friend and I around because we had to figure it out and ask around. We unfortunately did miss some events we would have liked to attend. All in all was a great week definitely relaxed and enjoyed my stay

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Stunning resort and parks!

This resort is as close to perfection as it gets. It’s no wonder people keep going back. The all fun exclusive aspect of it is amazing. There are just so many things to do between all the different parks for all ages. The underground rivers, caves, zip lines and such are great. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with such a varied and well thought out layout and integration into the environment. The rooms and placements in the resorts are great. Most of the restaurants are great. The ones that are more aiming to be fine dining have the best drinks.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Extremely Wonderful

Breathtaking Views of the jungle and beach. Unbelievably delicious food. The kindness and warmth of the staff made our experience extra special. A trip that will be hard to top. If you’re looking for romance, adventure, and an abundance of memories this is the place to visit.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great experience

Went there for my parents in laws 30th year anniversary. The resort was great, food was amazing! I would definitely recommend for older people or people who are looking to relax and not party a lot. I am on the other hand like to party, their carts made it very easy to get to the neighboring resorts for all sorts of late night activities. There is great entertainment there but it ends at 11pm. The only thing I did not like was how the pools close at 7 pm. 100% will return

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Spectacular place!

My husband and I returned to this resort third time because we love this place so much! We took our friends with us this time and they've been also amazed by the beach, restaurants, evening program and disco, and also food. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Perfect Trip for families!!!

I am beyond happy with this resort! It was our first time resort travelling with our baby (just under 2), so we needed something that would be clean, kid friendly, spacious. We were deciding between Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica and Barbados. Our travel expert recommended this place. We didn’t have to take any baby equipment, they provided stroller, crib, baby food, bottle warmer, bottle sterilizer, even a cute teddy bear. The food was 5 stars all the way! They even had a vegan/veggie restaurant that he fantastic food. The Thai place was phenomenal. Italian place had a great selection and good quality meat. The buffet was nothing to write home about, it was good, but not too many selections, so what they had there was good quality. Breakfast was good. The staff are super friendly and helpful in a genuine way. They don’t even look at your tip when you give it, just put it in their pocket and grateful. The beach was beautiful. Clean. There was no funky smells like at the other resorts we stayed at in Mexico. The pools were clean, the infinity pool is gorgeous. Kids play room is bright with natural light, clean, wide variety of things to play with ages under 1 to 13. The only thing I must say that this is not a party resort. They have activities during the day. There’s a show at the stage around 8pm to 10pm, sometimes a show at the pool from 830-1030. The bars are open late with music but not late night party spot. The pools close at 8pm. So if that is what you are looking for I wouldn’t go here. But if you are looking for a clean, spacious, beautiful, great food, nice beach and pool, bright place to unwind (kids or no kids) this is the place in Mexico to go.

Hotel was clean and good food. Service was good but lack of english spoken staff. Pools clean Need more respect for the adult pools with no chrildren allowed. Shuttle service almost needed for all locations.ex restaraunts. Beach first 3 days ckear water Last 4 days unable to use account sea weed issues in mexico. Little activites on this resort. Half reataurants closed acct low season. My rating wokld be a 3.5 Thanks

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Meh

The people working at the resort were not friendly nor helpful at all. We paid for a pool view high floor room and were given an end unit room facing the jungle on the main floor. They didn’t care and said they were full despite it very clearly being not busy at all. The majority of the guests were locals and they were very obviously given preferential treatment. They claim to be a family oriented resort but often seemed very inconvenienced by having to serve kids (I took my three boys). We  [... read more]found a weave stuck In the sofa in our room and aside from coming and picking it up, they did nothing else. Beds had no cover blanket, only sheets. Despite multiple requests, it took three days and 15 calls to get blankets. We were also asked to leave the beachfront restaurant for wearing a cover up over our bathing suits - they stated that we needed to be clothed - it was lunch time and it’s on the beach. The pools, bars (aside from the lobby), and snack bars all close at 5pm which is extremely odd. Also the bathroom light in our room remained constantly on and flickering. Despite many complaints no one ever came to fix it. The beach was completely covered in seaweed and the water was unswimable. We made the best of it but I definitely wouldn’t recommend nor visit again. It is a nice looking resort, the shows were good, and there were options for activities and great food choices although they should be more clear with restrictions. A couple restaurants kids were not welcome at and many things, such as wine, are not included. Actually many liquors that normally are weren’t. It was rather surprising and disappointing considering this resort generally has such good reviews.

This resort was absolutely wonderful. The food was always amazing with a large variety, lots of 24 hr options and different restaurants to choose from. Buffets always had different ethnicity sections that switched out daily. Staff was so kind and thoughtful. Everyone was helpful and quick to make our stay amazing. Trolleys to different areas in the resort came very often, room service was very quick and we always received phone call check ups to ensure we received what was ordered. Allegro Playacar: Amazing Vacation at Allegro Playacar

We just returned from our 3rd trip to Allegro Playacar this year for 7 nights. Amazing great resort...people very friendly. Not too much traffic which made my vacation a treat..very relaxing. The beach was awesome...great white sand and not overcrowded. washrooms... Nice clean rooms, wonderful staff.The pools are always clean as are the beautiful grounds. The buffet was excellent with a different experience each night..food excellent although more seafood would have been appreciated. The entertainment crew always has something going on to keep you from getting bored. The workers at all the restaurants will give you superb attention, love it!
