The grounds were lush, food was great! Playa Larga beach is calm and beautiful. The employees are wonderful and we met so many amazing people from around the globe.room 2331 had a beautiful view. will surely return :-)

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great amenities, service lacks

I thought it was a great resort, the food quality can improve and the hotel service can improve. There was no towel service all week, no shower head in our room and no room phone or line to call anyone. Other than that it is truly an open mind when you are in Cuba. The weather was great and the tourist groups were great. 7 days are plenty -

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Fun Vacation

Old hotel in need of renovations. Entertainment was excellent. Good variety every night of our stay. Food was ok. We enjoyed the snacks at beach and 24 hour bar. Awesome beach. We enjoyed our stay.

Melia Jardines del Rey: The Best Time Ever!

We loved this resort! it was amazing! the resort is a large one, so there was a lot going on, we didn't quite get to see everything we wanted, (one week was definitely too short) The resort itself is very beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach was magnificent! white sandy beach, calm waters for the most part, loved it! Our building was located close to the beach and was in a quiet area, and yet fairly close to the main building, so we were able to relax in a quiet setting [... read more]. The a la carte meals were awesome, I wasn't overly excited about the buffet, for a large resort, I would have expected more food stations, the line ups for fresh food were way too long had to wait a long time. Overall the food at the buffet was good. Just expect large lineups. During our stay, it was the busiest time for the resort, there were a lot of people, and staff worked to full capacity. Even though with all that was happening, and witnessing the customer service team work to accommodate all requests, it just amazed me that they worked so professionally to help those that required urgent assistance, they took the time to assist me with my simple request to obtain a vase for flowers I received for my birthday (they didn't have vases at the resort, so the staff improvised and made me one out of a water bottle) Overall, I would highly recommend this resort, we had the best time, I definitely plan on going back, hopefully in December of this year! :)

Hotel Camino del Mar: Another great trip to MCG

As always the MCG did not disappoint, many improvements and painting has been taking place and they are working hard to keep this hotel in good repair. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back in November to see all our friends again!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memories Caribe: Great quality

The hotel was very bright and all areas of the resort were quite clean. All staff were very nice and accommodating. The maids were very nice, fast and professional. The food at all of the restaurants was always hot and delicious (a nice variety everyday). The bars served great drinks and fast. Customer service was always available to address any concerns. The best beach in the Caribbean is found here, hands down. This was our second time at this resort in 3 years and will return soon.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort

Everything was great from food to service to the resort it self I highly recommend this resort 5 stars Excursion were awesome would highly recommend the caterman as you get to go snorecling in a coral reef

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Good value for price!

This hotel has character and charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet was adequate and had good variety. Only concern was pool maintenance as evidence was seen of algae but spent most of time at beach with the warmest water ever! Swinging elevated covered lounges on beach were great.

We took our family of 13 people to this resort on March 5th for a week ,this was a great experience for us ,we had 4 children under the age of 14 the entertainment staff was amazing at keeping them busy the daily 5pm soccer game was a true hit with the 3 boys. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Needs work

The staff was amazing very friendly. The grounds were clean by the pool, lobby but needed cleaning closer to the outskirts. Rooms needed lots of repair. Ours leaked when it rained, patio door was broken, phone didnt work, shower head needed a cleaning. Pool area needed more chairs.

Melia Cayo Coco: Loved Resort

Everything was very clean. People working at resort were always pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent with many choices. Activities plentiful. Loved painting at beach, foam party in pool, area where you could do yoga, stretching, etc. The shows at night were amazing (dancers very talented) and had the option of staying in lobby for other entertainment. Lots of umbrellas for shade and when we were there chairs were changed to white, with cushions and more cabanas added.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Would not tecommend

Room smelled stain on bed spread .food cold not a good selection. When asking for a ride never show up drinks were terrible ask for orange juice in a drink got fruit punch just an example. Asked for extra pillows didn't get them etc

Hotel Mojito: Great value!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed our stay at Iberostar Mojito. Very quick check in! The grounds and rooms are kept very clean, lots to eat at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants are good as well. We found the staff to be very friendly, smiling and saying hello. The beach was amazing, from that very first view you take as you walk down the boardwalk, smooth fine sand, turquoise water. The tide is high in the morning and goes out in the afternoon. The entertainment team did an excellent job in running activities poolside during the day and we also loved going to watch the shows every evening. The rooms and certain places around the resort need updating, but like I mentioned everything was kept clean which was great. If you're looking for modern, luxurious accommodations, then this place isn't for you. We would recommend this resort to friends and family and would most certainly come back here again.

Booking with Transat: Firstly, when I booked there was a bonus $75 gift card for some restaurants that was to be sent out after January 22nd. Never received! As for the Distinction and Elegance inclusions , don't waste your money! By the time we could make our a la cartes, we only had time for 2. Wasn't told when the BBQ beach party was and ended up missing it because we had an a la carte that evening. There was no mention of a manager's cocktail party. No bottle of rum in the room, no we [... read more]lcome cocktail, no cool towel upon arriving. The daily stocked mini bar consisted of 2 beers and 1 can of pop; that was when it got stocked, most days it didn't. There was a coffee maker in the room, but it is similar to a tassimo. Out of the week we were there, we received coffee pods 3 times, 2 of those time I had to ask for them. Good thing only one of us drinks coffee as we were usually only given 1 pod. Over all, I'm not likely to spend the extra on Transat's distinction collection. Not worth it. The short about the resort: Nice resort. Clean. Staff is hit and miss. Would go back. The Resort: Check in/front desk: So efficient. They were ready for the guests, had maps, keys, and bracelets ready when guests arrived. Only complaint was that we only received one room key. Bit of a juggling act, would have been nice if we each had one. However, whenever we went to the desk, they were friendly and helpful. Room: Room was nice, but beware, we were on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. Which was fine for us, but we felt bad for some people making the trek. It's Cuba, not Hawaii. Tv worked, bed was clean, balcony had nice view of gardens, with the Ocean in the distance. The balcony door had a broken screw. We did inform the front desk, but it was never fixed. But that certainly didn't ruin our room. Housekeeping: Was ok. The bed was made daily. However, I had to leave a note for coffee, beer, and sugar one day. After that I gave up. Last time we were in Cuba we looked forward to the different shapes on our bed every day. Seems our made only knew one thing, swan. We did see someone else had swans at their sink. That was never done for us. Mini-fridge: When we arrived there was half a cup of milk in the fridge. After 2 days, I threw it out. Fridge was only stocked (2 beer and 1 pop) sometimes. We would purchase beer from the "store" in the hotel, but if there was already beer in the fridge, they wouldn't stock the fridge. Beach: If you are going for sunrise/set TAKE BUG SPRAY. There are many sand fleas and mosquitoes at those times of day. And they will eat you alive. The sand is a little coarse in spots, contained many broken shells, so just be cautious of where you step. There is also a long peer you can walk out on to, see the pelicans following the fishermen. There are not many palapas, but there is a nice sandy area with lots of palm trees between the beach and resort; it's a nice area to spend a day relaxing (and close to the beach bar). Pool: There is only one, and it was mostly quiet. Usually able to get a spot without issue. As anywhere, if you want prime seating, get up early and stake a spot. Pool was clean, but the lining in the bottom is bubbled and uneven. However, that did not affect our enjoyment of the pool. Restaurants: Firstly, there is a small table by the entrance where you made your a la carte reservations. We attempted to book those 3 times in our first 2 days at the resort, but the person doing the booking was never there (even after waiting at the table like we were told; for 30 minutes). By the time we booked, there was only time for us to do 2 out of the 3 reservations, and we ended up missing the BBQ beach party. Buffet: Food at the buffet was often cold, but there are a number of food stations where you can get freshly made food: omelettes, fried eggs, bacon, ham, a pasta station (so good), kabobs, chicken, pork, and many other items. Staff seem to be hit and miss. There was one particular person we avoided when choosing a seat as he didn't seem to want to be there. The first time we had him, we attempted to get coffee for 20 minutes. He finally came over as we were finishing breakfast. Snack Bar: Located beside the pool. We arrive late at night and, thankfully, they were open. Amazing burgers! The Melia burger includes bacon, cheese, and a fried egg. Again, we found that staff was hit and miss for friendliness and service. Beach Restaurant: Was ok, not much on the menu, but we had the chicken and the fish. They were tasty, cooked through, and hot. Our server seemed impatient and not interested in being there. International a la carte: It's actually located just outside the hotel. It seems to be trying too hard to be something it's not. The food was good, but a little fru fru. Staff was nice. Italian a la carte: Our map said this was open for lunch, but we tried a few times and it was always closed. We did get a dinner reservation here and it was so good. Would have liked to use our 3rd reservation for here also, but there was nothing available by the time we got to make reservations. If you go, order the fried cheese as your appetizer. Husband would have order a dozen of those just for his entrée. Note: Get the VIP from your tour operator for when you leave. 25 convertible pesos each and you get a special line for checking baggage and customs. Then you have a lounge with comfy couches, free sandwiches and drinks. Also, when it's time to board the plane, you get taken out directly to board first. The general area of the Airport was crazy! You are still able to wander upstairs and tour the shops, then go back.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort

First time in Cayo Coco and I loved it. The beach was absolutely amazing and lots of loungers no matter what time you went down at. The pools well were pools same thing lots of loungers. The grounds were kept very clean and the washrooms as well. The food had to be one of the best I have had so far in Cuba and I have been to Cuba 4 times. Drinks were good and overall the resort was nice. Like some of the other reviews did not find and bed bugs or sand flees. Overall had a great relaxing time in Cayo Coco.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Amazing Cuban resort!

This is my second time at this resort and I loved it just as much. Many of the staff remembered me from my first visit and were so nice. Loved the pool, the restaurants and the entertainment. I am not a beach person but the layout of the beach at this resort is laid out really nice. Would definitely go back there for a third visit.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great Staff, Great Resort

First trip to Cuba and this resort definitely appeared the best as we passed others on the day we arrived. Oney, the bartender at the cigar bar makes the best drinks and we didn't even go in the pool because the ocean cove that was at the edge of the resort was beautiful and warm! The food was even okay! The best was anything that was made fresh to order for example the fried fish station at the buffet. But by far the most impressive thing was the kindness and happiness of all of the staff. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Fun times at a so so resort

Loved the staff and adult pool. Food is same everyday with little variety. Some of the evening entertainment was odd....adult baby show??? Wtf? Staff on the family and adult side made our stay fun and welcoming! Thanks for everything. Recommendations: more bathroom checks to make sure they are clean and have toilet paper.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful place!

We had a very nice week at this clean and well organized resort! The food was very nice with fresh seafood (my favorite) for lunch and supper at the buffet, of course the buffet is plentiful of other delicious food too, what I like about this resort is they gave us different kind of food, so you don't have to have the same food every day. The entertaiment is very nice, I just wish that they would encourage guests to get out to dance more, I had a chance to play the bongos with the band at the restaurant by the beach and I was so happy.
