Riu Guanacaste: Terrific resort

Great pool, very clean, courteous staff - numerous excursions available, terrific pool and bar service, lots of lounge chairs in sun or shade. Beach nice to walk along but with a strong surf. Rooms immaculate with well stocked mini bar. Extensive food selections for all meals with attentive staff and a fun entertainment program.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Wonderful resort!!

From check in to check out staff were amazing!!! Rooms were wonderful and very clean!! Food was excellent!! Tons of options!! Would we book at this resort again?? Most definitely!!! Drinks were always plentiful and powerful!!

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort

You want to go on vacation to a High Class Resort without breaking the bank, this is the resort of your dreams. Best resort thus far since our history of travels. The people, the service, all impeccable, awesome and amazing. Everyone is always eager to assist you, especially the servers at the Main and Beach buffets's were awesome and attentive. Have to say there was wind at the beach everyday, but this did not bother me because when you are seeking the attention of the sun, you definitely need some cooling off. The rooms were good and very clean. The only thing that I found negative was the week we were there, the hotel was booked solid and the availabilty of seats in the dining room and out in the La Plaza, were very limited. I must say, everyone has to visit the El La Carte Krystial, the best ever Beef Tender Loin you will ever eat, every bite was mouth watering. Loved the Resort! Sandra & Carlos Reis

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

Just a super resort with manicured grounds,excellent wait staff and great food.spent2 wonderful weeks with superb only downside had dispute with cab dispute and could not get any solutions with hotel management even when promised .Although disappointed would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a super vacation

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Resort!

Overall, the hotel was great! The food, rooms, beach and pool areas were very good, clean and well kept. The only problem we had was that there weren't any washrooms close to beach. This year the temperature was very hot and there wasn't much shade. We are aware that it is a new hotel and the trees have not yet matured but beach huts would have been beneficial.

Grand Memories Varadero: NOT GOOD

Hi, Let me start by saying that I have never made a public complaint before but felt it necessary with our recent trip to Cuba. My husband and I just returned from the grand memories resort in varadaro Cuba. We are very disappointed with sunwing promoting this as a 4 plus star resort. We paid extra for diamond club yet received nothing extra. In fact many things shocked us as very bad for this so called "diamond club" that we paid extra for. Our patio door did not lock. Our bed was horrid with  [... read more]springs coming through. The sheets were stained. We often had towels not replaced in our bathroom. But our biggest concern with this resort was the public washrooms off the pool, lobby and resteraunts had no toilet tissue, no soap and no paper towels. We tried to express our concerns to the sunwing rep and we were offered the diamond club sanctuary at an extra cost of $300!!! They said it was much better over there. Well, we thought paying for diamond club would at least ensure such things as the basics like soap in a washroom! We heard later of many that were sick while staying here. And we have noticed the trip advisor rating has dropped dramatically on this grand memories. If sunwing promotes such "2 star" resort as 4 plus then I will stop using them in the future. Also as mention the rep on site did nothing to help us, except to say we could pay even more to go to the " better" section! Our grand memories unfortunately are not so grand at all.

Riu Guanacaste: Wonderful resort

This resort was very well laid out. Very easy to find all the restaurants and the facilities the hotel offered. The food was excellent in the buffets and the Italian was our favorite for the ala carts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to return to Costa Rica.

Riu Santa Fe: Best trip ever

I went to the Riu Sante Fe in Cabo San Lucas & let me tell you it was the best trip ever & I have been to many places. From the time we touched down I knew it was going to be a great trip, Jared the Sun Wing rep was funny & informative on the way to the resort. Check in was smooth & fast, the rooms were clean & the ocean view rooms in the 7000 block are great they look right across the beautiful bay to Cabo. Entertainment at night on the resort was fun & the bars in the square were live & everyone was friendly. We spent most of the days in the pool at the swim up pool bars & everyone was having a good time. The staff works hard to keep the grounds and rooms clean & tidy, bartenders are awesome & dining staff friendly & courteous. We went on a few excursions & had a blast. Town was fun check out Cabo Wabo & Squid Row. I have no complaints & will definitely be back to the Riu Sante Fe !!

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Best All Inclusive

Stayed at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya for 2 weeks staring Jan 18-16. (Signature Tours) On arrival check in was quick and easy, we were assigned room 3071 which is in the south wing. Upon entering the room we noticed a very strong musty odor and a “sewage” smell and we put this down to the room not have been used recently. Over night the odors appeared to have dissipated but we found this room was right over the entertainment area and was very noisy till 11.30 pm. So Tuesday morning we approa [... read more]ched the front desk for a room change which they were quite willing to do so but not until Wednesday as the hotel was full. Tuesday night the sewage smell was back and very strong. We contacted the front desk Wednesday morning and they said they would have a room for us and to check back at noon. We returned to the front desk at noon and they had room 1128 ready for us. This room was in the north wing facing north which was very quiet and there was no smells very fresh. The smell issue appears to a problem in areas of this hotel as others have written this up. OK now for all the good points. All the rooms and public areas were spotless clean. There was never a problem finding a lounger in the sun or shade on the beach or round the pool. Waiters were continual bring drinks down to the beach or round the pool no need to move far. All drinks were of good quality. I think the best thing about this resort was the food and the staff. The food in all the restaurants including the buffet was the best we have had at an all inclusive resort. The staff could not do enough for you and all appeared enjoy their jobs. The beach is sandy all the way into the water so no issue with rocks. Seaweed was washed up on several days but staff soon had it cleared away. The location of this hotel is ideal for easy access to town just a shady 20 min walk to the center. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return.

Riu Merengue: Great beach; great food; older rooms

I travelled with 2 young kids (2 and 4y) to Riu Merengue and we enjoyed our trip. We were disappointed with our room, the furniture and bathroom was old/dented/scratched, but on the other hand very clean and really thats more important. The beach and food made up for it all. The sandy beach is long and not over crowded, a few 50-200m out there is a small coral reef with many fish that we snorkeled through. But do not go to the a la carte restaurants, trust me!! A walk up to the light house was worth a great view.

Riu Playacar: One of the best resorts we have been at in18 years

The grounds are being redone,food and drinks were the best.The resort staff ,i mean every person we dealt with could not do enough for you they were all excellent.Pools and ocean were great.All the people in our group rate it 5 star,great job riu on redoing the resort,we will be back.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Good resort!

Very nice personnel that even remembers your name, very nice beach, great resort. Clean rooms, good food with fairly good choices. Would gladly go back for a future vacation. The bars were amazing serving amazing coffees.

Riu Bambu: Excellent Resort

This resort is beautiful, in the process of completing full renovations to all units. The grounds are immaculate, the pools are very nice, and the food was superb. The beaches of course are second to none, perfect for long walks!

Riu Santa Fe: Best trip yet

This resort was great, nothing bad to say. Resort was clean, great selection of food and drinks, and the beach is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this resort. The pool bars are second to none.

Riu Palace Antillas: Awesome Resort

We have travelled to many resorts and found this resort to be top notch for food, drink, service and management. Management was there each and every night to talk to guests to ensure you were happy. Steak house restaurant is to die for!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Clean resort.

We had a alright stay. Our air conditioning wasn't working for 3 days, one of the other rooms our friends were staying in the toilet wasn't working for couple days. We really didn't like the food much really found it hard to find something for our youngest son. Also the air flight with sunwing was awful. On the way coming home we waited for 4 hours we didn't know what was going on why it was delayed all other flights were going out. We spent 60-89 dollars on food. The airport didn't even offer v [... read more]ochurs. I do have to say the resort was very clean and they were friendly.

Riu Tequila: Amazing resort

The hotel was very clean. Food was great. Service great atmosphere was great plan on going back. Great location great beach just a short walk away Lots to do in playa Del Carmen if you get a chance do some of the excursions

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Resort!

Everything was pretty good overall. I think they are going to be doing further renovations to the building. The bathroom had been recently done. The mattresses and pillows were awesome!! Best I ever had in the Caribbean, and I've stayed at a lot of 5* places. The beach was beautiful, but too many chairs being saved. The food at the buffets was varied and very good quality. Beef Wellington was to die for...so tender. The service was really good in the buffets. The service at the pool bar was slow [... read more], and got the wrong drink on more than one occasion. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Very good accomodation

A super vacation spot, however, activities away from the resort are not readily accessible. The hotel should establish shuttle service to the nearest town. Needs a better set-up for making reservations in the restaurants.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great way to spend a week!!!

there were some repairs taking place the week I was there, but it's hard for a hotel open 24 hours a day to schedule work to not inconvenience everyone. The food was good. People were nice. Very safe. Clean rooms and great staff.
