Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Returning 10 Years After Our Wedding Here

We were married at this resort 10 years ago and decided to return for our Anniversary. It was amazing to see all the added gardens, and a new beach side bar as well as a new a la carte restaurant on the Royal side which also doubles as a pizzeria for lunch. The service on the Royal side was amazing at all times during our stay while it was more hit and miss on the family side. However the breakfast buffets on both sides were outstanding. The Sea Blue and the Thalassa were our favourites. All staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly. This time the beach was hit hard by seaweed however staff worked hard and tirelessly to remove it all day. Such a hard working crew that worked in 35 degree temps while having a good time and smiling while doing it. While we had an amazing and much need holiday it was unfortunate that the resort did nothing to even acknowledge our return for our Anniversary. We were the first wedding ever here and it was a bit of a milestone anniversary for us as well. Other visitors that were there for random anniversaries or birthdays were acknowledged however we were completely overlooked. Wasn’t expecting much but it would have been appreciated even after email communication in advance.

Ocean El Faro: super

excellent,super restaurant.everything was perfect.just the beach is bad whit big waves and alga but 100 steps to the left there is a lagoon with blue water ,no waves ,no seaweed alga ,no coral!...PEOPLE BE CAREFUL when registering check in , read the paper that they give to sign,,, when you check out and you dont have your bracelet the BRACELET LOST is costs $150 us (must be gold bracelet)

AM Resorts Family Friendly Wild Card: Awesome Resort

I travelled with my husband and 2 year old to Dreams Punta Cana at the end of October 2019. The resort was beautiful and well maintained with many trees and plants. The room we had was small and outdated but fine overall. The pool was amazing for our son as there were many shallow areas for him to swim. The food and drinks were amazing, we especially enjoyed the treats at Coco the coffee shop. We did not enjoy the many vendors and high pressure timeshares sales. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Love love love

We just came back from Majestic colonial and we had an amazing time service was excellent anytime we needed something we received it within five minutes food was great rooms were beautiful and clean the staff is super friendly the beach was beautiful the pool was really nice We had a great time in the fitness lesson at the pool with Israel and Carlos they were very funny we also enjoyed our butler service with jovanni The steak and seafood restaurant was excellent with great service from Rosean [... read more]na our waiter CedaroAnd the chef we really going to miss everyone I recommend this hotel thanks for a great time from room 4213

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Highly recommend.

Great place. Very comfortable rooms. Clean . Good service. The beach was always clean , beautiful palm trees and enough shade. Italian restaurant deserves a special review! Friendly staff. Very well taken care of , highly recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Much luxuries

Pros: service with a smile Great food, great pool activities, attentive majordome service, every times we walked out of our room it was cleaned and well cleaned (we've tested it three times one day) Cons: no French Canadian tv channels. 36 hours without Any tv Service. Very little nightly entertainment while we were there. We were allowed 7 restaurants but the.only available times was 9:30pm at 2 restaurants all the others not available.

Excellence Punta Cana: Amazing Vacation!

Everything from the room, pools, food, staff and service was fantastic. Padded double loungers were awesome to relax on. The pool was wonderful. Beds were so comfy and room service was excellent!! Breakfast and lunch buffets were so great with so many fresh options. The a la carts dinners were all fantastic. We didn’t have a bad meal al week. The tenderloin at The Grill was perfect! We met so many people who return year after year and now we understand why.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing

The majestic mirage is just amazing, great food and service. The staff are extremely nice and they work so hard, they go out of their way to make sure you’re having a great time. We will definitely be back.!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: LOVE the updates!!!

We hadn't been back to the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar for a couple of years, although we have been there for 6 vacations. Since our last visit, there have been many updates done. I love the swim up suites and the new room decor. It's fresh and clean in all the rooms. The food is still as good as ever and the buffet rocks!!! We will be back again!!!!

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Excellent Resort

Travelled October 22 to November 1 - Ten days, adults only. Upon arrival we were informed that there was a special check-in for adults only. The check-in was smooth and fast and our room was ready (bonus). The room was very nice however we were not that impressed with the frosted glass for the toilet and shower (not very private). Other than that it was perfect. the grounds are getting there, I think in a year they will be much better, lots of water features through out the resort. The maid s [... read more]ervice was great, just check the back of the card by the phone and it will tell you the time frame that your room will be cleaned, ours was 10 am to 1 pm and it was done every day during that time frame. The food was great lots of variety, I am a salad person and can not complain about that section, 3 or 4 different lettuce's and plenty of other items. We went to 3 ala carte restaurants. We were not that impressed with the Asian or Italian, but the adult ala carte (Mareas) was great (we went twice). Get the steak it is amazing. Also the restaurant by the lobby bar is very good. The Caesar salad is big and the steak is great here also. Everyone was friendly and polite, no complaints here especially Wilin Amador from the Timon and adult only bar. Just one complaint that was the wrist bands that have a chip to unlock your door. Twice we had problems and had to get the front desk to rest them. All and all a great resort and had a great time. .

Riu Republica: The resort was beautiful

Fantastic place we already decided to go back and have also recommend it to several people really liked it therefore I very pleased and I’m sure that many of my family and friends will be happy with it as well

The hospitality and cleanliness was the best I have ever seen. The rooms were very spacious and clean.The food the buffet was very good.The only downside, more staff is required serving drinks by the pool and jacuzzi and mors bars needs by the beach serving drinks. I definitely recommend this resort to all travelers

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Magnificent Mirage

Originally we were 2 couple booked for Majestic Elegance as we were there before and loved it. Because of renovations slated at the Elegance for that time frame we were moved to the Mirage with same upgrades at Club level. Although leery at first we were very pleased and surprised at the stay we had there. It is every bit as beautiful and elegant as the Elegance and we were treated very well from the minute we got there. We had a wonderful pool view and saw some of the ocean from our huge balcony. Which consisted of a Jacuzzi tub and table chairs and love seat. The suite itself had a private sitting area with bar area as well as stocked fridge, bar stools and table, couch , tv and another eating table with nice chairs. in that area was a half bath. Then the bedroom, closets and shower along with toilet area separate and wash up area. That room had acess to patio as well. The food was wonderful at the buffet. The steak house was good and the Italian was wonderful. The Japanese was good but a bit disappointing as to other ones we have gone too. Now I will give special mention to all the wonderful people there who made our stay fabulous and most welcome. All the Bartenders but most especially Miquel and Junior at the Swim up Bar. Our lady servers at the bars Jacqueline Bares and Mayerlin. In the buffet our egg guy each morning was Alfredo who was always greeting us with a huge smile and chit chat. Our favourite waiter and waitress in the buffet was Jose Luis aka Slim Sexy and Julianna. We also had the privilege of their service at the Sea side one evening for a special night. Although we didn't participate a lot in any games we enjoyed the company of Francis, Sandi, Alfredo and Devlin at the courtyard each night or dropping by the pool to chat with us. Our Romantic evening for 4 in the Gazebo on the beach was wonderful and a bit breezy but food was spectacular and forgot to get the 2 waiters names. We also had the Jacuzzi tub filled by the butler that night with champagne chilled and rose petals everywhere. The only thing we didn't find time for was the free 55 minute massage. Although would have loved it....time just flew by. Weather was pretty perfect and the stay was wonderful..only dilemma will be now to we go there or back to Elegance...I think the guys pick Mirage, after all when we go again will be our 6 trip there so interesting to see how they top this last one.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort

We loved this resort. It’s the most beautiful resort we seen in all of our travel. The beach, food and most of all the staff were very good. The rooms are very beautiful and clean. The maids always had clean towels for us. The only problem we had on our trip was that we paid extra for adult section but it was full of kids including the room across from us.... Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Majestic mirage...fabulous!

This hotel was everything we wanted in a resort. Clean,friendly,beautiful ,good food and wonderful staff..we had Franklin as a butler and he was the best we've had in our travels! We will request him on our next stay..and there will be a next time for sure.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Small, easy to get about hotel.

The hotel is my special Dominican Resort. I have stayed at hotels on the North shore, south, and many along the eastern coast of the island since 1984. Dreams Palm Beach is a hotel I have stayed at 24 times since 2009. My booked vacation in December 2019 will mark my 25th stay. Imagine. I do not own a cottage, but I can imagine going back to a cottage year after year would be as remarkable as me returning to my Dreams Hotel, without taking care of the property. Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Somewhat disappointed..

My partner and I came to Sirenis for a much needed, delayed honeymoon trip. The following is a breakdown of our balanced review of Sirenis. OVERALL AMENITIES: We liked our junior suite. The decor was nice and the room was fairly clean upon arrival. We were hoping for a tub, but the open concept rain shower was great. However, we didn’t love the plasticky sofas in the living room space, but we didn’t sit on them often. We were also very surprised that the room lacked basic amenities lik [... read more]e lotion or conditioner. The resort is large and we loved that it fronted right onto the beach. We also really enjoyed the water park, which was a unique feature of the hotel. One disappointing feature was an evident lack of bathrooms around the pool and beach area. The closest bathroom was the one attached to the Tex Mex restaurant, and everyday only two stalls were unlocked for guests. The other ones were either locked, full of cleaning products or broken toilets. Considering the size of the resort and number of guests, this is a design flaw. FOOD: The food was hit or miss, though there was a good variety of options. In comparison to some of the all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to in Mexico, we were not as happy with the food at this resort. There were two exceptions: the turkey club and fries from the room service was phenomenal and we frequently ordered that with fruit platters instead of going to the buffet. We also LOVED the donuts at the coffee bar. CUSTOMER SERVICE: We were extremely disappointed with the customer service. We were not the only guests who noticed that Spanish-speaking guests were receiving obvious preferential treatment over English-speakers. We were shocked by the lack of smiles from the people serving us, from the servers, to the lobby employees, to the bartenders. At the very least, we expected a smile, if not polite and friendly service....but even that we did not get at Sirenis. The exceptions are our concierge, Ethel, who was very lovely and helpful, and the two bartenders we befriended at the beach bar. To make matters worse, I had my new phone stolen in the lobby area on the first day. We were shuffled around to various different people who had varying different responses to how our problem would be dealt with. No one seemed very interested in helping us. We told the lost and found manager where the phone was taken, and were told they would “check the surveillance”. We had to make constant inquiries about whether that was done. Then, we were finally told that nothing was seen on the surveillance and that I “must have left it somewhere else”. I reminded him that my spouse and I were 100% certain that this was not the case, and exactly where my phone was taken. We believe there was a cover-up for an employee who had taken the phone. We had approached the woman who appeared to be in charge of fluffing the pillows on the couch where I left the phone momentarily, and her demeanor told us everything we needed to know. This carelessness and lack of interest effectively ruined the start of our trip. Had the customer service been better, we may have been able to have a good time. Based on this unfortunate experience, I would not recommend this resort to friends or family, and we were disappointed to spend our honeymoon there.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Tremendous experience

As soon as we arrived, I was extremely pleased. The entrance/lobby were luxurious and the staff made check-in a breeze. Our Butler, Frankly was very pleasant and professional, and was a great help throughout the week. Our suite was beautiful, the pool, beach, restaurants and bars were great. All staff were extremely attentive and a pleasure to be around. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort wonderful vacation

Great and beautiful resort, really well kept, nice staff, great entertaining crew, good options for kids - waterpark, lazy river, kid's club and also live shows for kids. The only thing we were not happy about was with the pushy up selling of their Diamond club, I bit annoying after a while. Overall experience was great and the amazing staff was always very nice.
