Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beautiful and well maintained Resort.

The grounds, rooms and restaurants were immaculate and the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Th beach was beautiful and clean and a joy to walk on any time of day. The choice of food was plentiful and delicious.

Paradise Playa Dorada: My happy week

Excellent service and very clean entertainment areas staff always helping in different necesites of customers. I would recommend to anyone to stay no fo une week but at least two weeks. Entertainment staff the best I have eve seen in different resorts I visited

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Fifth Visit

I was very pleasantly surprised at the many upgrades that had occurred since my last vacation at the Riu Bachata. New curtains, bed spreads and especially the quality of the food. We ate all of our meals at the buffet. The quality of the food was excellent, especially the night they had the prime rib roast... so tender. The manager was always walking around visiting with all of the hotel guests, asking if everything was ok, were we enjoying our vacation, did we have any complaints. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Barcelo clean and good food, entertainment

Grounds and room were very clean, you could see the maintenace of the facility was very good, the place is a little dated but was expected. Food was very good, entertainment was excellent, every night something new, recommend for the price

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: lovely resort

the public areas and restaurants were excellent. The beach was very clean lots of vendors for local jewellery. People very friendly and try to make your stay enjoyable. The only issue I had was that there were so many stairs.Once I found the right place I was very happy.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: A resort you will never forget

we visited this resort the first week of April 2014 it was wonderful the staff were great the grounds were very well maintained and beautiful the food was delicious and an amazing quality to choose from you sure are not gonna walk away hungry!!! the drinks were refreshing and tasty....They always had something to do the entertainers are very funny and keep you busy they really do know how to keep a crowd excited...

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Very good resort

We like this sesort a lot because there are so many swimming pools. The family suite is spacious and clean. Beds in front beaches are convenient. You may meet some to stop you to sell time share. But if are not interest, they won't push. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Perfect choice for our family's vacation!

This was the perfect resort to enjoy our family vacation. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The resort was well maintained and small enough that we never felt nervous about letting our preteen daughter go around by herself. The beach was unbeatable and the food was top notch. Five stars in my books!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing resort for all ages

We had an amazing vacation. The grounds were kept well and the food was excellent. We travelled with our son 16, and our daughter 22. All of us had fun and there was always something to do. The resort is spread out so you could find a quite our a busy place on the beach and the palm trees give you shade. You get 1 hour internet/day free. We played tennis and Mini golf everyday and ate in the a la card restaurants. the buffet had everything you can imagine and was open 24/7 with a small selection [... read more] at night.. Outside( but still all in) they have a Karaoke bar and a disco for entertainment at night.

We loved everything about the Be live ,we have been there four times and will go back again.We love it so much and the people we enjoy so much,the beach,the pool ,food,the rooms everything just lovely.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Relaxing holiday

This was our first trip to the Dominicain and cannot wait to go back! The service was excellent! Grounds were extremley well kept, rooms were clean and spacious. We had no issues getting pool towels, entertainment around the pool was good all day. As far as food goes, you could always find something you like as they had lots of choices. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Resort

The resort was exactly as most of the reviews described. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good (we only went to the buffet and not the a la carte because it was better for the baby-more selection)Heard that the brazilian was not so good but the Mexican was good. It is not a 4.5 resort -more like 4.it is nice cause it was small and you got to know everyone. You could relax or party depending on what you wanted. The beach is very good. The reviews are right-buidings 6,8,9 are the best-newly renovated.They are further from the action though-but maybe some people want that. We were in building 3 which is a great place to be if you want to be in the center of things. We had a spectacular full-on ocean view, overlooking the beach. The building is a little dated. All-in –all it is a great resort at a great price with super friendly people.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Something made us sick

Of the 5/6 of us that went, 2 days into the trip we had the worst stomach pain and GI problems ever, lasting over a week. The stomach problems hapened to many other guests as well. The standard rooms were dated And had little bugs all over the bathroom. When inquiring about switching rooms due to the bugs this was dealt with very rudely and they said it wasn't a big deal. Riu Merengue: Loved this resort

First time to Dominican. Loved the resort, the beach and the staff. Staff were very quick to provide us with everything that we asked for. Rooms were clean, bar kept stocked and the food was great. The only thing they could improve on is to have more el la carte resturants. There was only one which alternated each night from a Steakhouse to Italian...which meant that there was really only one and it was very hard to get a reservation. Will go back.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Nice for the price

The grounds were nice and the beach was nice, however not enough shade there is no papilla's to sit under if you don't get a spot under the few trees you are baking all day. They do cater to the returning year after year travelers which really is not fair if you do for one you should do for all! The standard rooms are small and right beside the pool if you like to stay up till the wee hours of the morning then this is the room for you way to noisy. All in all it wasn't bad for the right price I would go back I would upgrade to a different room or just request one away from the pool.

went to puerto plata, dom rep, through trip central, great prices, easy to navigate website, and overall great customer service, the staff at the resort were great, weather was nice, food was pretty decent, great nightly entertainment, highly recommend!

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Our Favorite

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It is very compact to walk around, and restaurants are situated on the beach front, along with the pool. The food was extremely good. Our room was a lovely main floor, quiet corner unit, surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beautiful resort.

Great Beach location. Sand a little gritty compared to Punta Cana, but great to walk on. Great for swimming . Hotel was very nice, clean and food great. Staff very co-operative and spoke great English.

The grounds were kept up nicely with plenty of flowers and greenery. The three pools were kept clean and the main pool had music playing for added entertainment. Our room faced the ocean, however, it was in need of updating (grungy grout in the bathroom, for example). The buffet fare was not satisfactory and only a breakfast omelette proved tasty from there. The resort's location is good, as it's right in the town of Sosua where one can easily walk around and enjoy local shopping and dining. The resort is a good choice if you have a small budget and aren't at all fussy about the quality of food, drink or entertainment.
