Riu Guanacaste: Very nice

Grounds very well kept. Beach good use some tlc. Rooms nice. Pools lovely. Food very good with a nice selection of fruits and vegetables every day. Drinks plentiful and well made. Resort is a distance away from nearby towns. Shade plentiful, weather hot!

Riu Guanacaste: Rough Edges but Great Vacation Spot

Beautiful hotel and grounds, top notch buffet, great bars, great excursion options. Terrible a la cart restaurants, air conditioning didn't make the room dry, just cool and damp, they water the grounds with grey water which smells like feces, after hours food is awful and when it runs out you're out of luck.

Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful People

The resort,grounds, beach area were extremely clean. The Food was Fabulous and the Staff so friendly, respectful and helpful. Long beach to walk on, lots of activities, good entertainment at night and during the day.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort and experience

First off, there have been some bad reviews recently. After being here I have no idea why. So happy we went and ignored the recent bad reviews. Everything was so amazing! We're a younger couple and went for a week. This place has something for everyone. Great food at all times of the day. The buffet has a lot of options. For breakfast, lunch, and supper! The Asian a la carte was our favorite. Plenty of pools and hang out areas. We hung out at every pool different days and the beach as well. The upper area has lots of room and is a little quieter. Good for relaxing days for when you're taking it easy. The lower pools, closer to the beach, are definitely a younger crowd and more of a party atmosphere. This place has 3 swim up bars. So there's really no lack of areas to grab a drink. This is high season for them and there was a lot of people. Much more of a social environment than other resorts we've been to. Which was cool with us. There was still chairs on the beach or by the pools when we needed them. No long line ups for drinks or food. Which is impressive for such a large resort at maximum capacity. All of our service was very good. They were happy to serve us and look after us. Sometimes they were so busy there was no one to seat us at a table at the breakfast buffets. That didn't bother us. We're not so picky that we need someone to pull out our chairs and pour our coffee if they are that busy. We are capable adults. If you are that kind of person, or need them to bring your favorite drinks out to the beach for you, you should be booking at a more expensive resort or the palace next door. The whole place was kept very clean and maintained well. I noticed them painting things that I would have left longer, personally. Cleaning stuff that looked clean anyways. Well done gardening. Just an overall clean, fresh, experience. Keeping things in tip top shape all the time. Not 100%, but more than enough for us, that's for sure. There was sports and activities at different times of the day. Two places to play water volleyball and beach volley ball as well. Saw several nice weddings. Room was great! Very clean. Nice bathroom. Awesome balcony. Large bed. By chance, I think we had one of the best room views in our resort. They did a very thorough cleaning when ever we left the 'clean room please' hanger on the door. Entertainment was good. Not the best I've seen at a resort. But good enough to wander down to see the show for the night. Mostly dancing shows. Extremely talented dancing. Overall the place was amazing and we will never forget it. Most people we had talked to with a lot more resorts under their belts said this was their top choice. And we can totally see why. We will be returning later in life. With a large group of friends if we can. This ended up way more thorough than I expected. But if anyone has questions, I'd be happy to answer what I can. Riu Flamingos: Not what it should have been

Sewer back up smell In rooms (6th floor). Mattress cover in pieces (very inconfortable) Very noisy adjacent property mainly at night (south side) Few times we had to ask to have the room done before 4:00pm. (Too busy hotel or not enough employees) Same with restaurant : service very slow even when you see the employees rushing around. Dry and wet food left on supposedly clean dishes. Red flag on the beach for the 14 days stay.

Riu Santa Fe: Not the Swankiest but FUN!

The staff/servers were delightful and very helpful. Great ocean and pools! The view is stunning + you gotta check out Lover's Beach!! Buffet is decent. Avoid "Asian" restaurant at all costs - horrific!! Steak house + Mexican were decent. Terrible plastic sheet on our bed, but we took it off and slept comfortably. 2 out of our party of 6 people had their cell phones stolen.

Grand Memories Varadero: Exceptional customer service

From the minute we arrived we felt like VIP. From the speedy shuttle to our private lobby, quick effortless check-in, gorgeous view of the pool, private 24 hour lounge, 24 hour room service, our own exclusive Sunwing rep for the Santuary only, our own restaurant availble for breakfast, lunch and unlimited bookings to all the restaurants and our private butler service available at the sanctuary lobby. All the servers we had were exceptional and did their best to accommodate any requests. Additionally I loved the nightly live entertainment they had at our lounge bar. All the bands were amazing with a range of types of music, each night was something different!!! I would return to this resort in a heartbeat and would recommend to any of my friends and family.

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome vacation!!

The hotel was gorgeous, the food was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice location...close to the marina and shopping. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable vacation.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great resort

We stayed for a week in January 12-19, 2016. Premises are very well maintained. Clean and quiet room and delicious food at restaurants. Grilled salmon at a-la-carte restaurant is fantastic! Beach is nice, but be careful entering the water, as rocks are everywhere. Please have a pair of swimming shoes. Grand Memories Varadero: Worst resort I've ever been too

No lights at night on pathway by building 20(pitch dark needed phone flashlight to see path) dirty sheets, pillows smelled of mildew, garbage floating in pool, no new or clean towels, buffet horrible, friends both got really sick transferred hotels after a day and half. Either bed bugs or sand fleas not sure but multiple bites. Management does not want to acknowledge guest with complaints probably because all guests we encountered were unhappy and couldn't wait to leave.

Riu Palace Antillas: relaxed vacation

Hotel was pretty clean, staff was very inconsistent - food was pretty good. Not sure if an Adults only is supposed to be that quiet. Usual daytime entertainment, next to none in the evening. For my honeymoon I expected alittle more attention and service. Wasn't treated any differently. For the value of the trip I felt I overpaid.

Sol Turquesa Beach: The Staff at Memories make the trip!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Memories Holguin the week of January 14th until the 21st. We loved the resort and morn than likely will return. The Food. The breakfast was not that great but we got by. No problem getting chairs in the morning. There was a bit of seaweed in the water. But I liked the beach anyway. People complained about all the stairs, but there were some really unfit people there and maybe they should change their lifestyle. I loved all the stairs, in addition to all the running and swimming laps in the pool this was a great addition to our workout routine.. People, get off your butts and move!!!! But do be careful of the marble. It can be very slippery. The Bugs.. I got bit a lot. Now on the other hand my boyfriend had none and we were together the whole time. So bring bug dope and something for the itch. Problem solved... The Room. Loved our location away from everything. You had to walk a bit but that was fine. Our maid kept our room spotless. The beds were a bit hard, but I did not get a sore back at all.. The shower had little pressure but we are in Cuba and really does it matter? The Staff. They were amazing!! I have been to Cuba 22 times and have to say that these people worked really hard. They were very efficient and always had a smile on their face. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice but Small Resort

Very small Riu Resort. It for sure should not be named a palace. We have been to many Riu's because we love the Riu's. This hotel is the same as the rest of the riu's except on a very smaller scale. The food was awesome all the time. The steak house even had Lobster tail for an alacart which was a surprise. The beach is nice except its too bad they cant keep the locals away. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great trip

Overall the resort was beautiful and well maintained. Pools were clean and the staff worked hard to keep up the resort. The food and staff were good. Only real downfall for us was we thought the night time entertainment was lacking. The 24hr snack bar could use an update as well. Close to downtown Cabo and sight seeing. So overall a great resort and vacation.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: great hotel for a family or with friends....

Everything (except **) was great, esp. the dining and wining....extremely clean, polite servers, beautiful pool... ** - could do with some more mexican music and entertainment...that disco stuff is so routine these days.....!!!!

Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort

The hotel was good, the food was OK, just really disappointed the we did not have good weather, would have liked to see a few more choices for drinks as I only drink alcohol on the rocks. Overall very friendly people

Sol Turquesa Beach: Wonderful holiday!

We were a family group of 3 grandchildren, our two daughters and my husband and I. The resort was perfect....met everyone's needs and expectations. The pools were amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful and so welcoming to the children. Grounds were attractive, shows great. Food was fine....lots of variety although a wee bit repetitive but fresh , well cooked. Riu Tequila: Best overall resort

We stayed at the Riu Tequila January 11-18, 2016. Of all of the resorts that we have stayed at, 5+ and 3, this one has the best of all the properties that we look for in a vacation. First off I will say that if you go looking for problems, you will find them. Some reviewers complain about age and wear and distance of beach. The restaurants to the left, the outdoor bar, entertainment, sports bar and disco to te right it wasn't loud, it was buzzing with excitement, activity and everyone was smiling. I loved the Mexican feel of the resort, the quaint, greenery covered pathways and a 5 min walk or 2 minute shuttle to the beach was a great way to burn off the excellent food at the buffet. The resort was so close to downtown playa del Carmen and 5th avenue which were great walking and cheap taxi. The beach was fantastic. Well groomed and the sea weed problem was very well taken care of. Not a big deal because we are so lucky to swim in the ocean on a warm day in January! The nexxus tour guide was fantastic. We worked with Alejandra and she suited us to all of our excursions. The only thing we did not enjoy was the coffee. Lucky that there was a Starbucks right around the corner from the entrance. And the resort cat was there to greet us every day!! This resort is reasonably priced, jairus our trip central agent paired us well to this location and we couldn't be happier (even with two solid days of rain-go to rio secreto and xel ha). Go!!

Riu Palace Antillas: Loved our trip at Riu Antillas!

We loved the resort with excellent food selection lots of seafood and great service. The adult only resort was our preferred choice and we were not disappointed. The beach area and resort grounds were always clean and tidy. The higher floor rooms have a great view of Aruba. Would definitely return and recommend Riu Antillas.

Sol Turquesa Beach: A great experience

Very pretty resort with a gorgeous lobby. Big spacious rooms and beautiful pools. Food was good and the staff very friendly. Public bathrooms needed better upkeep and mosquitos were terrible. A good experience on the whole.
