Barcelo Maya Colonial: Unforgettable First Visit to Mexico!

The hotel was spotless, the service was amazing, and the food was great!!! We had 5 a la carte restaurant meals and went to: Kyoto (twice), La Fuenta, Mexico Linda, Trattoria and Brasserie (this was on the Palace side so we just paid $20USD each for a very fancy meal). Guest services and reception were both very helpful! The best activities on the resort were tennis and paddle boarding - both free with the resort stay. We also really enjoyed the Circus show and the Mexicana show. The [... read more] seaweed problem was minimal and there was a crew working around the clock to clear it. It was also fun to drink at the swimming pool bar at Maya Tropical. I highly recommend this resort as it was seamless and beautiful.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Iberostar Paraiso Lindo more positive then negative

The grounds are very lush and beautiful. It always very clean. The pools are huge and well maintained. Pool Water was a little bit too warm to feel refresh. But the ocean with turquoise water was fantastic some days and with sea weeds other days. The beach with its soft white sand is great for nice walks. The only negative point is for the buffet. It is small the food is just okay and too repetitive. The Restaurant ms were better. It is a resort that I would return to.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful resort

We had an amazing week! Loved that the park was eco friendly lots of plants. We went to most of the dinner restaurants as they did not require a reservation the most we waited was 30mins, we never go to the restaurants that require reservation because we can never keep them. The food was good the rooms where nice the staff was excellent. We went to playa del Carmen to shop are got some good deals and went to Walmart to by alcohol as they had great prices we compared with the airport most of the one we got where 40% less at Walmart.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort - Everything was perfect!!

It's rare that I write reviews but wanted to share the awesome experience at Secrets Akumal. This resort is top notch - from food, service, drinks, the rooms, beach. Everything was amazing. We tried to find something to "complain" about but there truly wasn't anything. The resort is ~1.5 hour ride from the airport but the Akumal/Tulum area offers the nicer beaches. Although this beach had some seaweed it was cleared daily and the ocean remained clear with beautiful fish constantly swimming  [... read more]around you. Snorkling is very big here with equipment available at the dive shop if you do not want to bring your own. You never have to struggle for a beach chair or umbrella and towels are at an abundance - no need to hang on to it with fear of having to pay $25USD if lost! Amazing. The beach was a wide stretch of white sand, with daily activities (no pressure to participate), beach bar with swings, and the most amazing beach service ever. Thank you Francisco! The resort is visually stunning - feels very zen - and beautiful vegetation everywhere, and super clean. There are 3 pools, again, with daily fun activities and the ability to participate as much or as little as you like. Each day there is a specialty lunch served pool side (paella, pizza, bbq) in addition to a number of restaurants open for lunch. You can also order off a menu beach side delivered right to your beach chair. The service all over the resort was outstanding. The rooms were awesome with everything you need - very modern, clean, jacuzzi. We had the swim out which was beautiful. Room service typically arrives within 30 minutes, which you order off on Ipad, and a secret box available if you do not want to be disturbed when delivered or when dishes need pick up There is a flat screen tv with multiple channels in all languages. You can also order drinks via room service. It would be nice to have bar service at the swim up rooms if I had to offer a suggestion. There are a number of restaurants to choose from (no reservations required) in addition to theme nights. During our 5 day stay they had Taco Fest, Mexican Night and Brazilian Night, all outstanding if you wish to forego the restaurants. We tried Oceania (seafood) x 2 which was amazing. Be prepared to wait up to 1.5 hours for the entire dining experience as it is quite leisurely. There is nightly entertainment in the lobby (live music), vendors x 2 nights, shows and disco, which we did not try so unable to comment. It was a bit quiet at night so if you're looking for a "party" resort, this is not it, but there are a number of entertainment options available. The overall feel is relaxing and being pampered from the minute you arrive to when you leave. It is primarily couples and all ages with something for everyone. Overall, amazing, amazing. Would definitely recommend / return.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing resort

The resort is huge as it combined 5 resorts together and can share all the facilities. Scuba dive center is amazing! All staffs are friendly! The pool and beach are beautiful! Only issue of the resort was there were lots of bugs or fleas or bed bugs and all of us got lots of bites. But Overall was a great resort!

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort!!

Probably one of the best resorts! Everything and everyone was amazing from the second we walked in they made us feel so special! The resort is very clean and kept very well, if anything would spill they were ready to clean! My best friend and I spent most of our time on the activities side since we did not want to leave the resort we needed things to do and The E-TEAM did not disappoint they were absolutely amazing! Sandra, Moon, Natalia, Dora and Alexandro were my favourite they had energy they were fun, they always wanted to make sure we were having fun and truly we had a blast they really know what they are doing I would go back simply for them!! Truly an amazing entertainment team!! Twist and squeeze had two bartenders both named Fernando and they were 110% the best!! They made great drinks consistently! They were so attentive and they will make you a drink till the last second and even a little past the closing time! The restaurants were impeccable but our favourite restaurant for many reasons was the French one! The food was amazing (I recommend the beef medallion) but the service truly was mind blowing, Misael was our server both times and he is absolutely extraordinary 10/10 would recommend!! Kibbeh was also a great one and Sergio will make sure you leave with a smile on your face!! We are definitely coming back!!!

Grand Sunset Princess: Don't hesitate

Seriously, at this price point...you won't be disappointed. I took my 12yr daughter and 10yr son here in March of 2019. Best family vacation ever!! Panninis n fries from the sports-bar were soooo good. The ice cream bar.. Such a treat!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great but not perfect resorts

Swim out rooms were amazing. There was lots of wildlife around the resort. Food was good but not great. Room service menu was very limited. Staff was friendly but could have been more attentive to detail. A four (but not five) star resort. Good value. Would return again.

Grand Riviera Princess: Great vacation!

A few restaurants were excellent, others were ok. Had an ice cream place. Beach and pool were amazing! Could hardly get family out of the ocean. Only Short drive To play del carmen. Loved the swim out option.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Good experience

Great experience! Our family had a great time. This is more of a family friendly resort. Fun is the centre of all resort attractions. A lot of corridor noise from the room so we’d wake up purely from carts passing by or people taking the elevator down the hall etc. other than that, we had a wonderful experience

The resort was very beautiful and calming. So much to do and the food was amazing. The beach had a lot of seaweed during the time we were there, though that's just the way it is sometimes. We were very happy with everything offered at the hotel and how clean it was. The staff at the entire resort were SO kind, friendly and generous. Everyone was welcoming. Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Family trip

Beautiful hotel, amazing pool and beach, nice star prestige amenities, some of the rooms ere looking old and tired . Mexican restaurant is the best , I would avoid the others . Great bar and restaurant staff including the housekeeping .

Overall very nice resort , amazing service at star prestige bar in the lounge as well as the beach . Very good breakfast and excellent lunch buffet , good Japanese and excellent Mexican restaurant, avoid all others for dinner . Beware of the some of the restaurant managers try to push for cheaper wine when you ask for star prestige wine list and selection.Kudos to the housekeeping staff as well as the bell boys and golf cart shuttle staff around the resort .

One bad meal broke the trip for me but my family did enjoy the resort since they did not eat the same food. This resort is in the PlayaCar complex and getting in from the airport took forever. I guess this is the price for security so plan ahead if you are arriving with kids. The 45 min ride took 1.5hours. The a la carte Mediterranean restaurant (black squid risotto with fried calamari) ruined 5 days of my trip which I spent running back and forth to the washroom. The energy from this crew is top notch and the freshly made food on the beach is the safest bet. The sangria when they serve paella on the beach was a nice surprise. The entertainment team a lot of energy and offers lots of options if you want to get into the spirit of the resort. I should mention there is a lost and found which you should check as someone did take my slippers and I found the kids goggles at the lost and found. You need your passport to exchange from USD to peso and no one has small bills! Take lots of small bills so don’t have to scramble later. We had a ocean view room which was amazing. Especially if you are stuck in doors and you can relax(recover) while you order room service. Honestly I had a better experience at Melia resorts and upgrading to the level instead of paying the premium for a better room at Iberostar where you don’t get as much perks as Melia.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Tropical Jungle resort!

Although my partner and I had to wait for well over half a day to change hotel rooms (since our assigned room had a musty smell and was affecting my allergies), the hotel staff finally did give us a room that was excellent. The rest of our stay was very pleasant. The service was great. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept. Our hotel room was exquisite, The cleaning staff was punctual and thorough. If I had to criticize anything, it would be the time it takes to travel from our hotel to the beach or other restaurants at the Bahia Principe since the property is very vast. If we had not stayed at excellence playa mujeres last year, would consider this pretty nice but now getting tired.Beach was seaweed, ocean was sandy brown (blame recent storm).Restaurants' food was good.Wasting 1 hour to line up for night's hibachi is primitive, (how about each room reserves once per stay when arriving?).Turned off all lights during outdoor meal, had to leave for indoor diner.If you don't tip (or enough) then wait for second class service.Surprise first checked bag charge!!Free  [... read more]Valet Park N Fly was welcomed.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing experience !

I really like this resort. It is very clean and employees are very friendly. There are a variety of pools to choose from some have entertainment and others are quiet which gave us options on where to go. The food was amazing, so much to choose from and the buffet areas/snack areas were clean as well.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great Trip

Third trip to this resort , food and service was great . New rule in place that no alcohol till 11am and most bars stop serving at 11pm . One concern was that the resort allowed some families with teenagers in the adult only section and although they had bracelets to prevent them from drinking they should not be allowed in the areas that we paid a premium to be in. The teenagers tried to throw balls around and play their music in an area where they should not be allowed , the staff did make the [... read more]m stop but it should never have happened . It seemed to me that the resort made these exceptions for the revenue but will probably cost more in the end when guest do not return ?

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort, amazing staff!

Had a great week at the Blue Bay! The food was awesome, the grounds were very clean, our room was great, and the staff were amazing!! We brought our two children and the staff were so good with them and very patient. We have only been home a few days and are already planning to go back!
