Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Great place for kids

We had a great time at this resort, I’ve been to a lot of resort’s but this one had the nicest rooms. The buffet was loaded with great food, lots of omelettes bars. The kids had a great time at the kids club. Eric the pool waiter was fantastic, Hugo let us use a cabana for part of a day which was really nice. Robinson was really nice with the kids at the beach. All the staff were really friendly. I would definitely go back to this resort

Posada Real Los Cabos: Very simple

The resort was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast and lunch were good. Dinner was not great.. we ended up eating off the resort most nights. There just wasn’t much variety to choose from. No bar fridge in the room. The beds were horrible. Definitely not a fancy resort.

Plaza Pelicanos Club: Well worth the money

The hotel is right in town so it os easy to get anywhere. I felt very safe there at all times. The staff is all unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Both pools were always clean and the grounds were well taken care of. The rooms were fine, nothing fancy but you're o ny there to sleep and shower anyways. I would recommend this anyone

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Barcelo Maya Beach

The grounds were beautiful and well kept, rooms clean, buffet could be better, ala cartes are great. The biggest problem was the spring break kids partying till 4am every night, slamming doors, screaming etc. I didn't mind one night of it but by the 5th night it was enough.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent Service - Resort Needs Work

I will state that the service at this resort was 2nd to none - the people were incredible which made the holiday what it was. The grounds, the selection, the pools, the beaches and bars all fantastic. The issue I had with this resort was with the rooms and some of the food offerings. The rooms are tired and that is being polite - cracked floor tiles - furniture from the 70's and a mini fridge that held next to nothing. In addition, extremely good air conditioning (even when on low) but n [... read more]o extra blankets to be comfortable at night. The hot water was great but the water pressure was extremely poor. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were old and stained. I will however state that the cleaning attendant was just amazing and made up for some of these downfalls. OK - the food - its all inclusive and is bound to get repetitive and I can deal with that however certain foods are meant to be hot and not served at room temp. This happened quite a bit and I would also warn people that some of the pay for options did not pan out either. I spent over $40 USD for a lobster and well all I can say - DONT - was extremely small and again room temp in some kinda gross butter substance. Anyhow - I had a great week - Air Canada was spot on except for the private transfer to the hotel - that was delayed 1 hour but both flights and luggage retrieval was great. The hotel gets a BIG YES for its people and its service and how clean and manicured it was - and gets a just OK for the rooms and some of the meal offerings. I would recommend this hotel for the people and the service but it needs some work R

Riu Santa Fe: Love Cabo!

This was our third trip to the RIU Santa Fe resort the make over was clean beautiful! The selection of food was less than previous years and twice I was told they were out of white wine at dinner time and they didn’t serve mimosas anymore 🙁 at breakfast. The pools are clean and beautiful and big! Unfortunately this was our first time going during spring break in the US, never again! Noisy, drunken young adults! And lastly I wish they adhered to their dressing policy many times at lunch girl [... read more]s with no coverups, the cheeks of their asses hanging out sitting on chairs that other people have to occupy after and at dinner guys with sleeveless tank tops not a good look for dinner ☹️

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great location but terrible food and service

The location was perfect with a nice beach and unbeatable snorkelling right out front of the resort. The buffet on the other hand is hands down the worst we had ever seen and we have been to over 10 resorts. 0 vegan options aside from the vegetables and rice which sometimes had old gross cheese in it. The service was also very slow and would take 30-60 minutes easily to get your food if you ordered a la carte. Some of the servers, particularly the females were very rude and made the experience e [... read more]ven more unpleasent. We would consider going back should they improve the food slightly and get more friendly serving staff because everything aside from that was very enjoyable. The bar closes at 11 for those of you who like to drink. COVID restrictions are non existent aside from the workers all wearing masks. The room we stayed in was very large and had a beautiful view of the ocean but we had bed bugs and cockroaches and I left the retreat with massive clusters of bed bug bites, but I suppose that may be common among many resorts. Overall, the resort is in a secluded and beautiful area with an incredible view of the ocean and has incredible snorkelling right out front of the resort, so we would go back for those reasons but the food, service and room issues with bugs were the major down side of our trip.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: The best 8 day stay

Krystal Altitude was an incredible 8 day stay. I booked through Air Canada and all of the resort staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly and eager to help and ensure my stay was good. The buffet has good options and the food was good. My room was clean and bed was comfortable. Mini fridge restocked daily and the beach was steps away from the pool and hotel rooms. The location is fantastic, you can easily walk to the marina in less then 15 minutes, Walmart in 20, the main road to catch a bu [... read more]s in 5. The pool chairs do fill up quickly, however I never had a problem finding a chair at the pool or beach regardless of the time of day that I went. I think for larger groups you might have trouble finding 4+ chairs together if you are going later then 8 or 9 am and before 2pm. There was some complaints from other guest that I heard, but in my opinion some people are impossible to please regardless. I heard comments like there was no bacon left and the steak didn't taste like at home. Is this really a priority or the reason why you visit Mexico? Anyways, back to my recommendation... Definitely book at Krystal Altitude.

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Paradise Village

1. The beds are super hard. They are not good for side sleepers. 2. While buffet quality is OK and not busy at anytime due to small numbers of all inclusive patrons, it is very routine inspite of day to day different cuisine, such as seafood day, western day or Mexican day. 3. The beach is excellent. 4. The snack bar and the restaurant at the beach provided the best food. 5. All staff were efficient and supportive also very polite including timeshare sales staff. 6. Asian sushi restaurant w [... read more]as very good. 7. The location was great. We felt safe and convenient. 8. The connection to Le Tigre resort area was great as I was able to play pickleball. 9. Wall between rooms are so thin and the next door neighbor conversation is audible. Sometimes loud.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: A good resort.

Clean good location. Food is average but ok. Restaurants outside resort much better. You can also go to the other Decameron hotels in Guayabitos. They are a good option when roaming around Guayabitos. They are all inclusive to you as well. La Penita is close by as well. Los Ayala is also near by. Nice weather and very enjoyable. Fresh fish every day if you want.

Samba Vallarta: Best staff ever at any resort I’ve stayed at!

Such beautiful people who work there. From the concierge, Bernardo to Genaro at the buffet, to Martin at the pool bar to Norma, the cleaning lady, to Nicole at the front desk - just a few of the staff that went above and beyond to make us feel at home!! Thank you! The food was great, grounds well taken care of, clean. The rooms, very clean but quite musty smelling.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Fantastic Resort

Hotel was Beautiful & clean had a very fresh scent as you enter. Rooms are clean & spacious. Food was Amazing we did not try Mexican. Entertainment was different nightly outside or in lobby or 2nd floor. Beach was cleaned daily.Pool was clean and warm

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Great time

Rooms were clean, pool off the balcony on the sea side suite side was chilly. Food was outstanding, staff went above and beyond for everything. Drinks were fantastic and entertainment was great. Beach however was terrible. Rocky, lots of seaweed(not resorts fault) sand bags to step over to get further in water. Administration very pushy with wanting you to join a “ membership” presentation. We had to be uncomfortably stern to say we were not interested at all. Long drive to the airport

Occidental Cozumel: Great resort

This is a beautiful resort with very well kept grounds.The workers were constantly manicurist the tropical gardens. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside is it is a long walk to the beach and the beach is quite eroded so not much space for beach chairs and shaded areas.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Probably the best resort in Huatulco

Very nice hotel built on a hill, so not recommended if you have mobility issues but they do have shuttle to take you every where. The grounds are beautiful, there's a ton of vegetation, lots of birds and animals. The hotel has 3 beaches, on has a nice reef with lots of fish 3m from the shore. Another one is perfect for lazing in the water, almost no waves, and the third one has more waves if you want to play in them and they serve drinks on the beaches so if you feel lazy .... The staff i [... read more]s amazing, all of them, they're nice and smiley always wiling to help. The weather there is always perfect, it seems in rains about a month per year and usually during the night. It was 32 and sunny for 2 weeks when we were there with the water at 27C. Because of this, the hotel has a ton of return customers some were on their 15th visit. The food is good, not incredible but good. The snack bar has the same thing every day for lunch. The buffet is good and the "a la carte" restaurants are ok but they could be better. This being said we always found something good to eat, so don't let this stop you. It was our first time there, we'll probaby go back.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Great all inclusive spanish Hotel.

Excellent service. Clean and very well maintained. Food is great in the buffet and in the restaurants. Front beach has very good Shade and comfortable. All personnel is very kind and amicable. We have already some friends there. Pools are beautiful and very well maintained. Maintainance in all areas of the hotel is great.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Nice Resort

Very nice resort, great staff, great food, good rooms. The rooms are spread out in four separate buildings, all built on hills. Lots of walking and lots of stairs. There is shuttle service to/from rooms, however if you have difficulty with stairs I would think twice before booking. We were there in late Feb early March and the weather was very hot 34c day 24c night. I believe its always very hot in Huatulco. The resort has 3 nice beaches and the water is good for swimming.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Beautiful resort but…….

This resort is beautiful. We booked the privilege grand family swim up suite & it was by far the best swim up room we have ever had. This is the first resort we have been to that never gave us a welcome drink upon arrival. Check in was fast. The reservation system for the a la carts is absolutely terrible. It took me 4 days to finally book one. You have to stay up until midnight to try & get your reservation. We found the food to be quite good. There is lots of variety for lunches. The chair gam [... read more]e is ridiculous here. The only benefit to being privilege is you can eat at Bloved without a reservation but if you eat there a few times it gets pretty repetitive as they don’t change up their menu. We were there for 2 weeks so by the end of it, I did not want to eat there anymore. The privilege area on the beach is a joke. They don’t monitor it so every color bracelet was sitting there & the beach service was actually better on the non privilege side. Also, we were supposed to get beach towels in our room but there were none. When we asked at the front desk they said they don’t do that anymore. I told them they should update their website then. We were also supposed to get turn down service which never happened until our last night. Oh & there is no where there to exchange big bills for smaller ones. We also found the front desk & bell boys to be unfriendly & rude. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would not go back to this resort.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great Resort

From the food to the staff to the grounds it was great. No complaints other than it is very large. The gym was quite a distance from main resort as well as some other activities. If the beach is important to you this may not be the resort for you as it is not large , rocky bottom and alot of seaweed. It is about a 2 hour bus ride from airport.

Crown Paradise Club: Do not stay here

For the money spent for a 10 day stay, rooms were terrible, 1st room at check in was a dungeon, 2nd room was better but it took 3 days to get the AC repaired. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Maid service was often very late in the day even as late as 5:30pm. The buffet was barely edible and for my wife so often could not eat anything as nothing was appealing. the reservation process for the Ala Carte restaurant is TERRIBLE!!! On line only for the day of at 9am, so every guest would be  [... read more]trying at the same time to get a reservation. for a 10 day stay i could only get 2 dinners. the only upside for the resort was the waiters and bar staff, they we very nice and accommodating.
