Riu Bambu: Good resort
Very comfortable, clean, enjoyable time. Beach excellent. Stayed in deluxe room which is close to road, a little noisy. Staff were great. Tennis courts for the Riu chain are very poor. Overall a great week. We did do some excursions which were also amazing.
Sol Turquesa Beach: Excellent Resort Setting but horrible Service
The Resort itself was beautiful. Really nice setting. It could be rated a 5 star. However, the service was very pittyful. Even though the rooms were a nice size and fairly clean, the springs in the bed were coming out and after complaining, they put a blanket under the sheet. The Food was almost acceptable but the Buffet had a terrible set-up. You had to wait for your food 15 minutes to get at. The A la card Restaurants were not very nice either. The pools were great and the beach was a bit shor [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Loved our trip to Aruba
We have visited other areas such as Negril, Costa Rica, Mexico and would definitely chose Aruba as our preferred destination. We loved the seafood choices at lunch and dinner. Great friendly service. Beach was nice with beautiful sunsets. Would definitely return and recommend.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Excellent time
We visited this resort for our anniversary and had an excellent time. Loved the room with oceanview. Lots of food choices and enjoyed the seafood. Excellent friendly service. Would definitely return and recommend.
Riu Ocho Rios: Great Family Resort!
Pretty beach with many large palm trees for shade and you get a beautiful Ocean breeze. The water is blue, calm and warm. The resort could use more loungers on the beach and by the pool, it can be difficult to find one. The food was very good, we ate mostly at the buffet. The rooms were clean but a little dated. The staff was fantastic! Helpful and polite. The Riu Fun staff were fun and tried hard to entertain and motivate you to participate in the many activities at the beach, pool and evening [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: A happy resort in a Happy Island
Perfect in every way except the poorly renovated (just a paint job) rooms profumed by a musty old smell. Wonderful atmosphere with happy guests & very genuine friendly staff, amazing varied buffet, great amenities, very clean,The best entertainment group led by "chico" Sergio.Best experience among all other Riu Palace properties we visited.Thank you to: Juan,Yuly,Lilian,Rolando,David,Victor and all their hard working staff. It was indeed an unforgettable vacation!
Riu Guanacaste: Satisfactory
The rooms had a definite sewage odor. The toilet broke after each flush. The rooms were tired and my daughter's room had ants. The linens were too old had tiny tears in them. We should have been made aware when we upgraded to ocean view that it also included exponential noise from the stage area as the week progressed. If you are planning an early morning excursion - then ocean view rooms are not for you! The buffet was enjoyable. The Italian restaurant was the best a la carte and I would recomm [... read more]
Riu Vallarta: Fantastic holiday resort!
We just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at the Riu Vallarta. We had perfect weather and the resort staff and facilities were wonderful! We found the check in went VERY fast - only a couple minutes and we were off to our room to freshen up before dinner. The front desk staff we welcoming and helpful. We loved the food - we were able to eat several times at each of the a le carte restaurants and really loved each one! They are each very different but delicious! Our Favorite was Sir George but th [... read more]
Riu Naiboa: Amazing trip!
We stayed at Riu Naiboa everything we'd imagine was there! The pool area was nice but at times a bit busy. If the pool area was too busy the beach was a 5 minute walk away and we always found a spot. The staff were absolutely friendly and professional. We did a few excursions and they were all a great time! All in all it was truly a great vacation and we were all very sad when it all came to an end way to quickly.
Riu Negril: Awesome resort
We loved the resort. Food was great. Everything was very clean. Staff were so friendly. I would definitely go back there. The beaches were awesome too. You could swim in the water. We spent more time at the beach then in the pool.
Riu Playa Blanca: Very nice resort, worth the money
We had no complains during our stay, except was no hot water in the shower for last 2 days,it took too long to fix it.Otherwise hotel is clean, food is good. Entertainment is very poor..overall we enjoyed our vacation.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: great friendly resort
Awesome resort! Staff were the best...always making sure we were OK. Grounds were very nice but resort is getting tired in some areas such as the pools and the entertainment stage can use an update. The ocean was incredibly beautiful!
Riu Bambu: Good resort for what it's worth
The hotel was a bit smaller than expected and a little more underwhelming than it was made out to be. If you are looking for a young adult type crowd to party with, this is the resort for you. The pool had great games catered to young adults (beer drinking competition, pillow fighting in the pool, etc), so it was a lot of fun in that sense as it catered to my age group. The only thing we found disappointing was how we had pay for drinks at the disco, and our rooms air conditioning was faulty. It [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Party Resort!
Everything here is Great as long as you don't mind a lot of people having a good time. The food is the only reason I knocked one star off. Its not even that its not good tasting but often barley warm. Especially at the a la cartes I expect piping hot food. So its best to watch for them putting out fresh food and eat that or Made to order omletts for breakfast. Tacos for lunch made to order. Cut for you roasts for dinner and made to order stirfry Are the best options for fresh food. There are lot [... read more]
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful place
Was awesome. Food, pools, wonderful evenings and amazing service. Always outside with the ocean view-amazing. And the beach-perfect to go for walk plus you can see the Arch from your window. Really recommend this resort. It was my third visit at Riu but this one was the best.
Riu Palace Peninsula: Riu palace peninsula - amazing!
The Riu Palace Peninsula was a great resort. The grounds were quite large for a resort in cancun. The food was amazing, as were the drinks, service and rooms. There is sun available at the pool and on the beach all day.
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: food is no good
Hotel is nice but the food is awful service is good well maintained grounds. Not enough chairs around the pools beach was clean.sick from the food all the second week I was there I have been to the dr many times first time with bad food.
Grand Memories Varadero: Wouldn't recommend this resort
The beach was great but the rooms and food was very poor. We only received fresh shower towels once during our trip and we had to use the same beach towel all week. The food was horrible with the exception of New Years Eve. On New Years Day dinner in one of the resturants was left overs from the New Years Eve dinner.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Overall a good resort
We went to Riu around Christmas time. First the rooms are smaller than other resorts we have been in, 2 double beds for two adults and two children one is teen is not comfortable. Second the elevators not working all the time, they had 3 and some times only one or two working longer waits. Entertainment is not great actually poor. Food is great in all the hotel. Beach is great and the pool is good. Overall we had a ood vacation but i will not come back.
Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful resort
Everything was handled from the welcome drink when we arrived, baggage taken to our room, and seamless check in. There was nothing left to do then enjoy the beautiful week we had in Costa Rica at the Riu. Hotel was beautiful, very clean and well cared for, staff were courteous, food was plentiful but just okay. Great week in the sun. Beach was nice too.
