Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful resort

We spent an amazing week at this resort. It was a family vacation, there was 6 of us and we had 3 rooms, not one of us had a problem. Our rooms were clean, the food was great and the service at this resort was excellent. Tadine on the beach was a joy to see each day and always ready to take care of your needs.. Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great time...so relaxing!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely week at the Iberostar Tainos during March Break. The beach was stunning, with a fabulous pool area available as well. The rooms were very modest and simple, but always clean with an amusing little towel sculpture left behind to brighten our day. We stayed on the ground floor of a bungalow and our only complaint was that we could not leave the doors or windows open at night due to the lack of screens. (Although, there were very few bugs). It is a small, comfortable resort with some of the friendliest staff we have ever had the pleasure to meet.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Excellent family resort

This is a great resort for families with children. Two different kids pools, wave pool, ice cream bar, lazy river and play ground. The food was incredible and a good variety of vegetables, fish, meat and cheese. The home made bread and deserts are incredible.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Happiness comes with excellence

This was our second stay at this resort and although we noted a few changes, overall the quality of this hotel is excellent. The grounds are well groomed and maintained, buildings well cared for, public areas very clean and rooms well cleaned and supplied well with everything we needed. He was so respectful and so energetic, a very amazing young man. The whole entertainment team on this resort is amazing. From sports to evening entertainment, just excellence. I have only one complaint about this resort. The service in the buffet dining room at times was not the best. Very few of the wait staff introduced themselves and did not engage in any form of conversation. At times did not remove dirty plates between courses. It didn't happen at every meal but this is the one place I noted a change from our last visit to this resort. Some of the wait staff was amazing but you could sure feel the difference when staff enjoyed their work and when they did not. Not really sure if there were a lot of new staff or what was happening but it did not feel good. The food was just as amazing as ever. Hot food was hot, and cold food was cold. The other thing I noted was little to no hand washing by the staff. It kind of worried me as dirty dishes would be handled and then back to clean dishes with no hand hygiene. Overall I still have to say this is one of the nicest hotels and I would highly recommend it to others.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Family Resort

Great beach, great entertainment and activities, great kids club and in general great facilities for kids, the concierge service is excellent, decent gym, lots of restaurants, good tequila, but you have to order it by name, it is great that you can reserve a la carte restaurants every night since other resorts limit these options, great location close to Cancun airport. On the "opportunities for improvement side": there are no baby changing stations in most male bathrooms, no automatic accesible [... read more] doors on bars, bathrooms and other facilities. Also when buying the package it was not clear to me that this is part of a 5 hotels complex and that I had access to some stuff, but not to some other stuff, the hot tubs outside are not heated, which is a minus when temperatures are in the low 20's ºC

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fantastic Resort!

This was our second stay at the Iberostar and it was amazing! Beautiful surroundings, wonderful people and an incredible beach. What more can you ask for. The food was decent as well. No complaints whatsoever. Plan on returning next year!

Hotel Mojito: Great Resort

The resort was beautiful, always clean! Rooms were clean and up to date! Dining was good at the beach bar and restaurants! Always a good selection of food. Staff was friendly! Overall after reading reviews was a little scared but would definitely travel back!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Good Resort

Very good family resort. Kids club is outstanding. Good filler shows in the evening, and good entertainment on the beach. Considering my high standards, restaurants are average. Stay at buffet and you will not miss a thing. Steep stairs in the pool made few people scratch their legs. Wave pool and water park are a joke. We stayed at building 50 which was super quiet and closest to the beach. There were no problems to get a spot in shades on the beach.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: 2nd time to Iberostar Paraiso Beach

We vacationed at Iberostar Paraiso Beach last year and enjoyed our stay enough to want to return again this year. There are nothing but good things to say about this resort, from the great food in the buffets and a la carte restaurants, the huge pool, (you never felt crowded), beautiful grounds, enjoyable evening shows and hard working staff. Hotel Mojito: Awesome!

Everything was awesome! All the people were to friendly they made our time there so much better! The beach was so pretty but windy at times. Rooms were nice as well. I would for sure go back to this resort if I were to go back to Cuba!!

Awesome resort..pool was warm..rooms and beds were great..food was wonderful drink s yummy..staff were all friendly and lots of fun..ocean was warm..no rocks..no complaints at all... highly recommend this resort..

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Excellent resort

Resort is very well maintained & very clean. Excellent service from friendly staff. This Iberostar location is WAY better than the equivalent Iberostar Laguna Azul in Varadero we stayed at last year. Only complaint is that waitress service at pool could be better.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great resort. Will definitely return again

The people at this resort were very accommodating. The food is not as good as Mexico, but for Cuban standard it is by far the best. If you love seafood, you will love this place. The food are all organic and the meat (pork, beef and chicken) have very little fat, so the meat was a bit hard. I ate mostly fish, lobsters and shrimps, so I enjoyed it. Will definitely return again!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Poor

The grounds were very nice but the service and food very bad. Our stay was 10 days March 8 - 18. Three days no hot water and 1 day no water at all. At one time it may have been a 5 star but at best it is a 3 star now. Will never go back nor would I ever recommend it.

We had a great vacation. Thank you for helping me find it and book it! The hotel is beautiful, nestled among trees and bushes. Two beautiful long snow white beaches with a gentle incline and little surf, perfect for my 83 year old mother. Lots of nature. No motorized boats. You can imagine you are on a desert island! Wreck for snorkeling a few hundred yards off the beach on a very shallow sandbar. You can walk out to it on the sandbar, at low tide deepest water max hip deep, mostly ankle deep.  [... read more]Reefs for snorkeling. Sailboats, kayaks and paddleboats. Lots of activities and sports organizers for my 15 year old. Friendly and fun. She met a number of other kids her age. The beauty of the hotel is that it is very spread out, but that means you need to walk quite a bit... or order a ride from the bell boy. We walked and it was very nice. Food was excellent (for Cuban). Lots of fresh grilled fish, lobster and shrimps. Lots of fresh salad and fruit. Delicious roast piglet, chicken, ham. Rices, beans, pastas. Delicious omelettes for breakfast. People who complain need to remember they are in Cuba and Cuban food is simple. It's not a foody delight. It's delicious basic home cooking reminiscent of my grandmother's era. Our first room was on the ground floor. A little damp. We were able to change to a 2nd floor room on the 2nd day. The rooms are in two floor buildings with an open central courtyard. Entrance off the courtyard. Windows and balconies facing out. Beautiful views onto trees, bushes and bougainvillea. Very quiet everywhere. Gorgeous spacious limestone bathrooms with separate bath and shower and private toilet room and natural light. Beds were comfortable doubles (not queens). Perfect for my 15 year old and myself to share... no need for the cot in a triple for us. Everything worked. Daily minifridge restock with whatever you want. Very pleasant decorations. Our air conditioning would not turn off on our first night in the 2nd floor room. It took a while to get the technician to come out. He was very effective and efficient when he came. The front desk is the key communication point if people have difficulties. They need training in how to communicate with pushy North Americans. They tend to push you off rather than communicate clearly. When I was trying to get the air conditioning technician one of the girls started hanging up on me. I kept calling because their promises were not being met and I was not sure they were actually calling the technician. It would have been easy to say, he is very busy and it will take one hour rather than promising 10 minutes over and over again. And I was being nice. Many of the tourists are not. I'd say this was the weakest link in the hotel. They need a training and coaching program to solve it. Visiting the front desk when it was not busy and speaking nicely with staff was the best way to get things done. They were very helpful then. Bad on the phones. Otherwise the staff were all very nice, friendly and ready to help. Amazing considering how far some of them travel to work there. Tips are important as this is their livelihood and they are otherwise quite poor. The evening shows were of a high quality and the dancers gave it their all. Very impressive. Hola Sun itself is not very organized. We were not on their list when we arrived (probably because we were so last minute), but they put us on a bus with the Montreal flight that came in a little after us. This was OK. We don't believe they sent a bus to take us back to the airport. We were told not to go on the Air Transat bus (our airline) but to wait for the Hola Sun bus. One never came for the Toronto folks and the Montreal bus guide was kind enough to let us on hers, but it took some discussion with her and the Air Transat rep. Not sure what would have happened had we not been proactive. We also took a day trip to Havana. We flew. Guide and bus for the day, including lunch. Cost 214 CUC. Excellent value for money. We left around 7am and returned around 9 pm. Very interesting day. Highly recommend it. The hotel has a beautiful large elegant open air lobby where people arrive, gather in the evening, etc. Guests mingle and talk. Very friendly. Don't expect to buy anything you need from the hotel shop. Mostly chips, drinks, tshirts, bathing suits, hats, flipflops. My sunglasses broke... I could not find any for sale anywhere in Cuba... although Cubans all wear them. I would happily return to this resort. We enjoyed it very much and feel we had good value for money.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Great resort

wonderful stay at truly a 5 star resort. The grounds & landscaping were amazing as well as all the original woodwork around the resort. Great pool and the professional staff were on hand throughout the day with activities if you were so inclined, or you could just kick back and enjoy the great weather. Great restaurants and there was enough variety at the buffets that you never tired of the food. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Grand Villa Suites

We had an excellent vacation. Weather was perfect. Grounds were gorgeous. Of course, the beaches were breath taking. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. To quote our Concierge, "there is no such thing as "No"." The Grand Villa Suites area of the resort is a true 5 star resort. Other areas such as Park Area and Spa Area not so much. It is well worth the extra funds to upgrade. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice weather. Good food. Poor room services

Only complaint about this resort. Room service!! A disaster. Had to ask everyday to have the fridge replenish ( as we need water to brush our teeth), to have towels, to have toilet paper, to have coffee. The big problem is, even when asking, nothing was done. So you need to go to the front desk and ask all the time. Besides that, food is good, resort is nice and had incredible weather

Enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and food quality was excellent as well. Lunch buffet, pizza bar and ala carte Japanese restaurant among our favorites. Would certainly return in the future.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful resort and vacation

This resort was great. It is small in comparison to some and that makes it the perfect size. The pool is clean, plenty of loungers, staff try to get you to interact but don't bug you. The pool bar is not too busy and offers some shade behind a beautiful waterfall. The beach is white soft sand, great for walking especially when the tide is out, snorkelling is good just off shore but there are trips by boat to a nearby island. Water is great for kids to play not too deep. The kite surfers down the [... read more] beach are very entertaining to watch. The main lobby is clean, has a busy bar especially at night. Entertainment is brought in each night in addition to the wonderful shows at night. The entertainment team is great and very talented! If you are use to your meals being prepared specifically for you and to perfection you will enjoy the buffet and al a carte restaurants! The service was above and beyond. The rooms are clean and well maintained, nice patio or balcony. People who work here enjoy it, they seem happy. The vendors on the resort change every four days and have wonderful products. People we talked to seem to keep coming back to this resort, staff recognize them as they arrive, this speaks volumes!!
