Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Amazing

Amazing Resort. Dreams Dominicus in La Romana is the best resort we have been so far. Everything was perfect. Room, food, entertainments, drinks… most impressive things was the cleanliness of the resort and in particularly the rooms. We will definitely recommend.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Terrible trip

On the second day, multiple people in the resort got food poisoning. My husband was so ill,vomiting and diarrhea at once, unable to keep anything in him for 12 hours. The clinic doctor sent him to the hospital via ambulance. We spent overnight there -my husband getting IV antibiotics of 2 types. When we came back, the buffet was no longer self serve and majority of food was wrapped in plastic. Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Ok resort

We were at the preferred club part and the beach was nice but if not for that the beach on the other side was crowded and no shade. We had booked a room with pool view and did not honour that when we got there. Rooms were cleaned late in the day and not cleaned on 2 days of our 7 day stay. Food was overall good and so were drinks. Service on the beach was terrible bringing us warm bear and leaving it there with the lid on the bottle. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Not the same as before

Dinners were excellent. Drinks everywhere were all watered down. Crown royal is rum not whiskey. The men are friendly the woman not so much. Was there 5 years ago. Won’t go back just ok 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: This resort is stunning

The grounds, rooms, pools, beach, restaurants/bars, staff are all amazing. We would definitely start at this resort again. We travelled as a group of 12, agre range 4-59. *********************************

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Would not recommend!

Had to pay extra for wifi that was more down then up. The pools are not heated so were way too cold. Wasted hours trying to get reservations for our group and ended up with only 2 bookings for the worst restaurants and had to split our group because there was nothing else available. 7 out of 10 people in our group got sick.

Occidental Punta Cana: Great hotel for a familly trip!

We had a good time with our 2 yrs. Food is good, room are big and clean, people are nice! Its a calm place and fun with children because the noise stop after 22h30. It’s a perfect place to relax, read and spend good time with familly

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Family Paradise!

What a great place for families. The lazy river and pools were amazing. Nightly entertainment was top notch. Great food and drink variety and quality. The staff were friendly - especially Angela at the buffet reception - and the grounds were well maintained. If you have a family, especially with little kids, this is a perfect getaway.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Very nice

Very good The staff was real nice restaurants are really good and the pools were very enjoyable I would highly recommend it to a lot of my friends the only thing that would be nice is if you were able to rent the golf carts this is a lot of hills there

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Surprisingly Great!

Visited for 9 days during the busy holiday season, yet despite being busy, the hotel didn't feel overcrowded and there wasn't any waiting time for services. The grounds are pleasant and well maintained, the staff is exceptionally nice and helpful, the hotel is well laid out and the beach is large and very nice. You will likely enjoy this hotel if you like: 1. a smaller si [... read more]ze hotel where everything is super close by 2. a nice wide beach where you can get a lounger at any time of day without reserving one at 6am 3. a beachfront with calm water and no waves even when windy (due to reef and location at edge of bay) 4. the experience of a small airport where you don't have 6 planes landing at the same time 5. a short drive to the hotel from the airport 6. kitesurfing or want to learn to kitesurf. You will likely not enjoy this hotel if you: 1. love the beach and do not want windy conditions (mornings are usually calm, but afternoons regularly get windy - this is why it is a great place for kite surfing) 2. need huge variety of food to be happy - there is plenty to choose from, but not as much as in some large high-end resorts, though everything that is there tends to be quite tasty 3. want to eat at a-la-cartes daily (you get 3 per week only and there are 3 total to choose from) 4. want to play volleyball - although there is a net in the pool, there is no volleyball court on the beach 5. you love desserts and want to eat lots of them - although the food at this hotel is tasty, the desserts are the weakest part - bland, monotonous, using fake creams For hotel management: here are some EASY/inexpensive improvement suggestions that would make the experience better for guests like me: 1. Breakfast (and possibly dinner): Consider adding crepes with the usual condiments (whip cream, chocolate sauce, Nutella) 2. Desserts: Please increase the quality of these - use real whipping cream, make some mousses, etc. 3. Volleyball: Add a beach volleyball court and ensure you have a good beach ball and also get a proper water volleyball for the pool version of it 4. Foosball: Please fix or get a new table, the one there is put together incorrectly and barely works 5. Ping pong: Please replace the table with a new one. The surface on that table is heavily worn and the ball doesn't bounce correctly. 6. Beach towels: It would be great if your hotel policy didn't restrict getting towels to specific hours of the day. Not being able to replace a towel at 2pm when needed seems unnecessary, especially when there are fresh ones available. 7. In-room safe: (I know this one would be expensive to fix), but at some point it would be great to not have to use physical keys for the safe. Replace them with combination safes that are also slightly larger so they can fit a laptop. I also want to note: A-la-cartes: Food was very good, especially the Italian one. If you don't enjoy the food there, there must be something wrong with you. :-) Silent disco: Great addition and hugely fun - be sure to try it. Beach: There is coral in places underwater, but there are also clearly visible areas with nice sand. No need for water shoes. Beach is beautiful and wide, so bring any fun games you like to play (spikeball, frisbee) - there is plenty of space to play. WiFi: Hit and miss in some places, but I was able to consistently use it in the room and lobby for work and for WhatsApp calls.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Awesome resort!

The beach was fantastic and we never had any issues finding beach chairs. The buffet and restaurants were very good - especially the Japanese restaurant. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Special shout-outs to Luis and Daniel.

Riu Naiboa: very clean--excellent staff

grounds excellent---food poor---needs to be identified staff excellent---not enough adult entertainment at night too much for kids at night----michael jackson show great--but not enough for adults---food often cold---

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: So wonderful for our second time but it may be our last

We just arrived back from our second trip here. We came back as the property is fabulous. The beach is extraordinary. The food is, also. The Adults only Barcelo Bavaro Beach and the next door Bavaro Palace (for families) occupies about four km of beautiful beach. At the end of each property, there are public beaches. In front of these public beaches, many of the excursion boats anchor as they await their clients to take out. Many of them play annoyingly loud and aggressive music that spoils the [... read more] ambiance. On our last day, one of these vessels anchored right out front of the resort to let their clients snorkel. For 45 minutes we had to listen to the loudest and most disgusting rap music ever. We went back to our room as it was not enjoyable sitting there. We will seek out a more quiet environment for next year.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Perfect size resort!

The grounds are very beautifully kept.The beds are very comfortable.We enjoyed the Cirque de Soleil and the 70&80's show.The food at the breakfast buffet could have been warmer,but that problem was solved once I discovered the omelette station would make you a fried egg and also had bacon.The cappuccinos were very good.We really enjoyed the Fusion restaurant.The salmon and risotto was delicious.House wines were also good.The Mediterranean restaurant was hit or miss depending on what you ordered [... read more].The beach although beautiful,was slanted which was a bit of an issue for a less abled body.The disco was far too loud to enjoy inside.Almost every person employed there was friendly and acknowledged your presence.The front desk workers were very helpful!

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Worthy of being called Grand

This was a very nice property and definitely 5 star in all aspects. The a la carte restaurants were excellent. Buffet breakfast was very good. Lunch buffet was just ok but the view from the restaurant makes up for it. Entertainment was excellent, both in the theatre but also in the lobby area. Lots of live music and staff to dance and entertain the guests. The golf course was also very well conditioned and fun to play and a good deal at $79 for resort guests. The hand sanitizer on the elevator I was using was empty all week.

Occidental Caribe: Would not recommend.

What seems to have been a nice resort once upon a time seems to have fallen under hard times: grounds are still pretty. Outdoor chairs are in need of a change. Pool towels are difficult to come by. One buffet restaurant: disappointing food, minimal staff, cleanliness and sanitary measures less then desirable. 25 min waits for anything at the grilling stations ( pasta, meat, etc.). À la carte restaurant: don’t bother. Barely staffed, crappy meals. Locals are welcomed in to party on weekends an [... read more]d at night. They clearly get priority for any service, especially drinks. Front desk is very understaffed. Staff looking tired and not overly happy. Rooms: broken patio doors to balcony. Will not close. No safe. Bathrooms tired with hot water issues in shower and leaky toilets. We enjoyed the sun and the company we travelled with. Other than that, big waste of too much money. Sorry.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Beautiful Resort

We stayed at Be Live in Puerto Plata and had a blast at this resort. The food was good, the staff were great, the resort and beach were clean and the views were amazing. Beach and ocean on one side, mountain on the other. We were there for New Years and the fireworks were incredible.

Ocean El Faro: Family resort

Ocean el Faro is fairly large resort catering to families. Lots of nice pools , water park and lazy river. Grounds are well maintained. All restaurants have nice outdoor patios which was important to us during Covid. However nobody wears masks any more and I didn’t see anybody sanitizing anything. Butler service very good, good way to communicate with all parts of the hotel. Overall service was fine, beach concierge in the privilege section very good. Hotel has a beautiful Lobby and Piano Bar for evening drinks and some music. Rooms are nice and spacious.
