Barcelo Ixtapa: Great resort!

This was our 2nd time at this resort. The food got even better than the last time we were there (2019). Beach is beautiful but ocean is little rough. The entertainment was good but wish they spoke more English so you could understand them. Over all we would definitely recommend this resort.

Las Palmas by the Sea: The greatest view

Hotel looking pretty old - we feel the hotel is really catering to Mexican families rather than other Nationalities - loads of screaming kids. Poor entertainment & mediocre food. It is a great location & the view from balcony is magical.

The hotel is old and caters to mostly Mexicans, language and entertainment, out of 11days not one was 40% English the staff were great hard working people ,food was below average ,rooms definitely showing their age

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort and service

Very well kept and lots of activities for kids. Lots of food options for all ages. Pools were good, but could be warmer. Nice beach. Options for parasailing and other water activities. Check in process could be better, as we arrived 2 hrs early but room was ready 40 min later

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Getting a bit dated

The hotel is good, just needs a bit of updating. Get there early i.e. 6 am with your towels if you want a sunbed and try to find 1 that isn't broken. Unfortunately beach unusable because of seaweed. Small complaints. The food is excellent and the staff and good. Common areas clean and well maintained. A bit of attention would help.

Overall the resort was alright, they kept it clean and i liked the smaller size of it which made it like it wasn't overcrowded with people and it was easy to get around and there was always somewhere to get some food if you were hungry. I only attended 2 shows but the ones i went to were good, especially the rock show with a live band. The things that i found strange were no beer or booze in the room and were just told to give the bartenders a tip and they might give you some cans of beer to  [... read more]bring back to your room and they wouldn't you bring food back from the buffet and restaurants to your rooms at all. Also the reservation system for booking the theme restaurants was pretty bad and you would basically have to wake up at 3 in the morning to book a reservation for the next night or you werent getting in at a decent time/or at all and then when you go to the restaurants for dinner, they never really felt that busy. The beach was also pretty much unusable till the 2nd last day or our trip due to seaweed and they were working on cleaning it up the whole week we were there.

Dreams Huatulco: Never a disappointment!

I can’t speak highly enough about this resort! Our third visit and each time has been exceptional! The staff were all soooo helpful, friendly and pleasant! Always clean and inviting, the food was always terrific and plentiful! The weather and beach are always spectacular!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Wouldn’t book here again

Unfortunately didn’t love my stay here. The agent who booked told me there was no kids water park at this one but the others connected would have it- nope ours was full of kids and water park- room was dated which we were aware of and said it was fine as long as clean and still nice it was a 5 star so I wasn’t concerned - shower was terrible rusted parts and sink was cracked. Foe the price we paid and what we got I would never go back or book through trip central again. The food was good and weather was great so that helped.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Bad Customer Service

Public areas were maintained well but Customer service was extremely bad, guests arrive from international locations and may reach hotel late in night and may leave early in the morning, restaurants should be able to serve some food. Guest cant stay or leave with hungry stomachs. Mosts of the trips outside hotel either start early in mornings or end late in the evenings. We could find food before leaving or after coming back coz restaurants are closed. And when we ask for food staff at restauran [... read more]ts were laughing as if they are giving food from free. Dame we paid to stay at hotel.... We opted the hotel thinking its 4.5 stars we were treated bad for the money we paid....

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort.

Bahia Principe Grand Coba is an excellent place to enjoy anice vacation, a very clean place and a sanctuary for wild animals. The food in the buffet is very varied and tasty, the bedrooms are very spacious and clean. The dinners in the different restaurants were delicious. The shows were phenomenal. The most fascinating is its peoples who kindly met our needs in a very profesional way. If God allows it, we can return with our children and grandchildren

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: A Wonderful But Rocky Resort,

Everything at this little paradise was excellent. I dont like huge complexes and this was just perfect, updated but still holds the old charm with a hint of luxury. The food, the service, the night show, the animators. The Best! It does get crowded on the beach for finding chairs but the most inconvenience were the rocks in the water. Even with water shoes you have to brace in order not to fall. We saw many who did and also one who got injured. Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Would recommend

First time staying in the riviera Nayarit, the beach is much nicer than puerto vallarta and buserias. the food at the buffet was amazing every day, and even on a 10 day trip I looked forward to the food every day. The drinks at the bar were very good, and the bartenders showed us some new ones. (Special shout-out to Leo at the pool bar and Irving in the buffet for their service that went above and beyond) The grounds were very clean and well maintained. We had a few minor issues in the room but nothing that would ruin the trip, the only real complaint I would have is the rooms are not soundproof at all. You can hear everyone walking down the hallway, and the neighbours talking in their rooms. That being said, the rooms were very clean, the water pressure was amazing, water was hot, air conditioning worked great, and of course an amazing view from the 5th floor.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Will never return

The invitation to this resort was due to a wedding and 62 people flew from all over Canada to witness the celebration. My family was looking forward to a resort that would meet everyone's needs. We paid for a privilege package and this was a joke. We were told there would be carts to take you everywhere. There are carts but my husband who has mobility issues walked and walked with no carts in sight. You would wait in line to get seated at the preferred restaurant for at least 30-40 minutes and then wait another 30 minutes to get your breakfast. We were told there would be lobster everywhere to eat and we never saw lobster at anytime during or stay. Our room was nice but we had no hot water for 4 days. You could never get a hold of your butler or get someone to answer the phone at the front desk. There was no ice machine close and we did not have face cloths 4 out of the 7 days. We did however have a dehumidifier which was a perk. This is not a place to go if you have mobility issues. The pools were nice. My husband and I were unable to swim in the sea due to large rocks in the water at the beach. Food at the other restaurants were okay and the buffet was extremely busy. I did not go hungry. The drinks were awesome but you had to go to the swim up bars to get served. The wedding however was amazing and we had a wonderful time that evening and just being with family and friends. Perhaps my expectations are too high as my husband and I have travelled to Mexico Mayan Rivera many times and we are use to a 4-5 star resort. This was a 3 star and we were very disappointed with the service and the lack of accessibility and still not sure what privilege services actually provided accept we had a room near the beach, we walked to everything and we met a butler 3 times. Once when we first arrived, second as he heard of a complaint regarding the service, and the third time was the day before we left where he asked for me to write a complaint and he picked it up and he was to have arranged for our luggage to be picked up and a cart to take us to the front lobby. Please note I wrote the complaint but we never received a cart for pick up for luggage or a cart and I had to wave down a cart to help us. I had a break from work. I have a tan. I had a great time with friends and family but for the price it did not meet my expectations.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Fantastic Resort!!

We were very impressed with this hotel. The grounds were immaculate and absolutely gorgeous. The buildings were super clean and well maintained. The buffet restaurant had great ambiance and though what was offered wasn’t always our cup of tea there was always something to eat. We especially liked the breakfast options with lots of fresh fruit. We got around to eating at two a la carte restaurants even though there were three available to us. We loved the French a la carte the [... read more] Japanese hibachi was meh. The pool was huge and gorgeous. The beach was nice as well as it had bright white sand and we always had a chair with papilla. Unfortunately we had a huge sargassum problem but that’s not the fault of the hotel. We had a handicap room as we had our mother with us using a wheelchair. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The only critique I have is that the handicap room had very low toilets which made it very difficult to use for my mom despite the handrails. The resort is enormous which could be a pro or a con for people as there is tons of walking though you can flag down a golf cart. The only other critique I have is the nighttime shows or lack of them. The Mexican folklore show was wonderful but for the rest there was nothing really, even the animation team at night was sad really. During the day you could be as involved or uninvolved with activities which I suppose is the benefit of a larger resort having busy and quiet areas. Overall we loved this lush gorgeous property I can definitely recommend this resort.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Still a great place to enjoy!

This resort is such a wonderful complex. Many pools including a quiet one for seniors, lots of beach chairs on the beach and at the pool and the restaurants are excellent. We have been there 5 times and never disappoints. After covid they have improved some processes such as towel return and online restaurant reservations. Only one reception desk was open but it was sufficient.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Normal

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Absolutely wonderful experience

The hotel was very clean, the food and drinks were excellent and the service was amazing. We were there with a large group and they did everything they could to meet every request that we had. Not once did I make a request that wasn't met with a smile.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Excellent resort

The Royal Decameron Complex is an excellent resort. It’s not a five star but is affordable, beautiful surroundings, it’s kept clean, the rooms are clean, the food is great, if you want a change there are many surrounding restaurants available, there is volleyball, tennis and cycling and the entertainment is every evening. We’ve been going for many years and are planning to go again next year.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Best Swimout experience

This is our second time here. The resort is beautiful. We especially choose this resort for the swimout as we feel it would be a different experience if in a standard room. The pool is small and crowded but everyone seems to enjoy it. we love the peacefulness of the swimouts for this reason. The food is exceptional. Both the a la cartes and the buffet. Service is good and drinks are also good if you are specific with your requests. We will definitely return to the swim out rooms in the future.
