Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Awesome resort

Hotel overall was good, we were there for a wedding and surprising the wedding was very professional and very beautiful. Food was great, pools were good, rooms, bars, restaurants all good as well. Staff was very good, lacking in English but still very pleasant. We made the best of the beach and found spots where we could go in the water but don’t expect much from the beach. The Eco aspect of the resort is really cool and there are a number of free activities to help explore the nature. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Tropical Luxury Resort *****

So beautiful. The tropical grounds at this resort was amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and the decor is very classy. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at Valentin Imperial Maya. They certainly go above and beyond for all their guests. The food was really outstanding. If you’re a steak and seafood lover, this resort will not disappoint. All the restaurants were really great. The white sandy beaches were beautiful. Plenty of loungers for everyone. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Lovely Resort but had one issue, yet to be resolved

Our first impressions upon arrival were that it was a nice new resort but everything was situated fairly close together. It has a long narrow design with just one pool close to the beach. I thought there was at least one designated adult only pool but each one we visited had children. Our room was nice, clean and cool but the bed was on the hard side and the wooden frame around it made lots of noise getting in and out or if you turned over. I love the basket chair on the balcony. The food at the Steak restaurant wasn't our favorite (MahiMahi very tough) but we loved the food at the buffet (amazing variety each meal) and we loved the food at the 'Blue Moon'. We really enjoyed watching the Raptor playoff games in the sports bar and loved the coffee shop (busy all day!). On day four of our 7 day vacation my husband contracted an intestinal infection from the food. The hotel doctor came to our room and diagnosed him as such, giving him an injection and round of antibiotics. We let the hotel manager (Caroline) know about this incident and asked if they would re-imburse us for the cost of the doctors visit ($300 US). She was defensive and brushed us off. We weren't looking for blame, just reimbursement. One last positive note, we had a lovely Wine Tasting experience with the resort Sommelier named Edgar. I would give him five stars for his friendliness, knowledge, passion and professionalism. He had introduced some lovely wines to the restaurants, they are very lucky to have him!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: A little slice of heaven

The hotel is beautifully decorated. Modern. Grounds are well kept. Staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. Pool side staff are entertaining and great at their job. I was a little disappointed with the condition of the beach and the seaweed problem. Aside from that the resort was beautiful. I had a good time.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Small but has everything!

It is smaller than I expected but still has everything that we can enjoy. The best is the entertainment shows each night. The foods overall are quite salty. They don't have healthy sense in terms of cooking. I would give 6 out of 10 to this resort.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Nice resort

The service at this resort was first class, they bent over backwards to help they were very friendly and fun to deal with, the rooms were nice the resort is a bit older but very clean and the nightly shows were amazing my only complaint was the beach was small and the sea weed was uncontrollable, they had workers working on it every day and they could not clean it up.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Grand Sirenis

Very nice hotel lazy river was a plus, however lots of walking and weren’t eager to drive us around unless we were just arriving. Nice staff good food and clean grounds. Weren’t happy they made no special accommodations as requesting by my booking rep it was my birthday and they didn’t seem to care we requested a higher floor with an ocean view.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Fantastic Hotel

The hotel was amazing, staff well trained, cleanliness excellent, food the best, beach was really nice and a fantastic bonus! Grounds were of a high standard, could have let people know that lunch boxes are available if you are touring. You should include a salad with a better quality sandwich....more gourmet on take away boxes would be welcome! Overall really fantastic! I will be back for sure!

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Exceptional Service

My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Riviera Capri Secrets. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though the staff could not do enough for us. Our two concierges were extremely helpful and knowledgeable - explaining some cultures and traditions as well as encouraging us to practice speaking Spanish with them. The food was flavorful and presented beautifully with a wide variety to accompany different tastes. Several places to get a light snack or night cap as well. Beauti [... read more]ful building and grounds with turtles to feed in the foyer fountain. Everything was well maintained but if there was a problem, someone was there to correct it in minutes. Security was present and visible around the resort as well as cctv visible on all buildings and at the beach. Entertainment was varied and the nightly shows were very energetic. I loved the poolside live music in the afternoons! The beach was disappointing only because of the seaweed that has invaded many of the beaches in the Caribbean. The workers were out at the crack of dawn trying to rake and gather as much as possible to clean things up but they fought a losing battle though not for lack of effort. We greatly enjoyed our stay this past week and would not hesitate to recommend Riviera Capri Secrets to family and friends!

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Resort!

The grounds were very clean and well taken care of. The entertainment from hard rock was not very good. We found ourselves bored on more than one occasion. For the price I would try my hardest not to come back here.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Dreams

Was there for an amazing 8 days with 29 of us for a wedding. The wedding was absolutely beautiful with the coordinator doing a wonderful job (Bren). Everything was excellent from the room to the Restaurants pool entertainment was fabulous. The entertainers are the nicest group of people. Excursions was safe along with the little town Puerto Adventures. The paramedic on site (no charge) was A1

Grand Palladium Kantenah: HUGE RESORT

This resort was HUGE with 4 other hotels on it. The best part! You have acess to 3 out of 4 of them. All of their ammentities,dining,entertainment,bars you name it. People we're working very hard around the clock to keep everything up. Beaches were spotless. People were coming around asking if anyone wanted drinks or collecting cups and dishes. There was cats there that im assuming were for entertainment and past control. They we're a crowd favorite. Everyone you walked by said Hello good  [... read more]day! We are from Canada. Didnt speak any Spanish. Thank goodness everyone who worked here spoke English well! Amazing service, good advice. All inclusive.GREAT food! We had such a wonderful time! Very highly reccommended so much to do here. We stayed for 6 days and still felt like we didnt see everything 10 out of 10!

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Love love love the resort!

Everything the service, the pools, the beaches, the food. Thank you Tanya for helping us book and making one of my dreams come true! Wouldn’t change anything about this family vacation. We went 7 days and it was the perfect amount of time to come for our first time. We are already planning our next trip to the same resort. This time my brothers family and sisters family will be joining us. I’m hoping to book through Tanya again she was so helpful and easy to work with.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Wonderful resort!

Every aspect of this resort was spectacular. Whether it was the great assortment of food, restaurants, long meandering pools, planned activities, they had it all. We will most definitely recommend this resort to others for a carefree vacation.

Ocean Maya Royale: Nice Resort

The grounds were well manicured, rooms were spacious and kept clean. The breakfast buffet was great. The Ala carts were excellent. All the staff were Friendly. We did not enjoy being asked every day to sign up for the upgraded package or massage.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Love This Resort Even More

About ten years ago, we visited our first Bahia Principe resort, and shortly afterward, when considering where to go next, we decided to revisit the same resort. Since that time, we have repeated this process. Our rationale was that we knew the location, we were happy with the food, the service, and the features of the resort. At present we have stayed at all the Bahia Principe resorts at the Riviera Maya, and this most recent trip was our fourth trip to Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an resort i [... read more]n Riviera Maya. As per usual, the check-in process was excellent. The hotel recognizes your repeat status and rewards you with little extra perks. After a certain number of visits, you get upgraded to VIP status. As repeat guests, we receive some additional perks, but the main reason we continue to visit Bahia Principe is the excellent service we receive. Frida checked us in and made us feel very welcome. We were offered hand towels to refresh ourselves and welcome drinks. Frida was excellent at explaining everything we needed to know. The room was a standard room for Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. We usually ask if any upgrades are available but completely understand if none are available. Even the standard room is charming. Our room was on the top floor and included a king sized bed, a separate seating area for watching TV, plenty of storage space, and a lovely bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an is not a beachfront resort. They do have several pools that you can enjoy, which are a short walk from any of the rooms in the hotel. We enjoy going to the beach, but this isn't a problem at Sian Ka'an. There is a shuttle that runs from the lobby to the beach every ten minutes or so. I didn't find this inconvenient at all. As a guest of Sian Ka'an you have the run of the other three resorts in Riviera Maya, so not only can you go to the beach but you can enjoy all the facilities at Bahia Principe Tulum, Akumal, and Coba resorts. Another reason we keep coming back is the food. At some resorts, you might find the food bland, probably due to the number of meals that get prepared, not so at Bahia Principe. The food is delicious and well prepared. The hotel invited us to repeat guest dinner. This dinner was set next to the pool and snack bar and was fantastic. We were served lobster and steak for the main course, and some great tasting additional courses as well. We were not only seated with other repeat guests at this dinner, but members of the staff joined us as well. At our table, we were joined by Frida (who checked us in), Kassandra who also is from the front desk, and Julio who works on the Animation and Entertainment Teams. It was a pleasure to share dinner with them and enjoy a great conversation with some of the key people behind making the resort so enjoyable. During the meal, we were also entertained by the mariachi band who did terrific renditions of classic Mexican songs. They even took a request. At the end of the week, just as we were getting ready to leave, Kassandra approached us and made sure we had a wonderful time at Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. You could tell that all the staff takes great pride in their work and their hotel. We will be returning in September for another week at our home away from home. I hope to see our new friends from Sian Ka'an when we return.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Small but nice!!!

Great service ... Bar was great... Employees were very accommodating however we had an incident in which we kept the bed sheet out of the room and asked for house keeping to pick it up.. they picked it up but never reported it so front desk wanted us to pay 1300 Pesos for the sheet .. after spending sometime the issues was resolved .... apart from that the resort, food, pools and staff is very nice

If you asked me to sum our week up at Unico 20’87’ in one word it would be perfection. From the moment you step off the bus and walk through the front doors of the resort it’s an overwhelming experience of pure bliss. The facility and our room was spotless, beautiful and had a warm welcoming feel. The facility is crafted beautifully and all the little details you’ll notice over the week makes you realize this is not like any other resort you’ve ever experienced. You’ll constantly be asked if you need anything or if you are enjoying yourself and if something isn’t perfect, they’ll make it perfect quickly and with no hesitation. The food and mixology are amazing, I would rate the food second best we’ve had while traveling and mixology the best by far. If you have a chance take a cooking class or a mixology course during your stay. It’s a wonderful experience and a very entertaining. The staff in the resort and any locals we met off the resort had been happy to talk to us about the history of the region, on the resort it was impressive to see the pride all of the staff had in the establishment and would show you how they’ve incorporated the local culture into your experience and why Unico is a bit different than any other resort you go to along the strip. We’ve stayed in the region before and this was something we found very noticeable, the staff seemed very happy. Our favorite part about staying here and what truly made our experience unforgettable was our host, his name was Adriano and if you book I highly recommend you request him because he is amazing at what he does and will take your stay from amazing to unforgettable. He greeted us upon arrival with a big smile and excited to welcome us to the resort, he offered three different languages (English, French and Spanish) he quickly explained what his role was and how he was happy to assist us with anything we need. He then took us on a tour which ended at the buffet because he knew we would be hungry after hours of travel. This impressed us because we had not necessarily said we desperately needed to eat but Adriano clearly picked up on this. This was the first of the many things Adriano intuitively made happen for us. Over the course of the week Adriano took time to get to know us, always stop and say hello when he saw us and have a quick chat and make sure we always had what we needed. Now this sounds wonderful right?? It gets better .... little bits of information he got from our chats he then incorporated into our stay, we would come back to our room and our favorite music would be playing, a bath would be ready and our favorite drinks ready to enjoy before dinner. Our room was always done up with rose petals when we returned at the end of the night with a rose on the bed and a note from Adriano reminding us to enjoy the moment, relax and recharge because this is why we are at Unico. These little things are only a few of the many. I cannot begin to explain how much we appreciated these little touches, it was personal, warm and made us feel at home. I don’t think all the thanks in the world could express how grateful we are that Adriano was so good at what he does. He had a pulse on everything and everyone but somehow was managed to do all these things without us ever suspecting a thing. Thank you, Adriano, for being so passionate about what you do, our experience was truly amazing, memorable, unforgettable and relaxing because of you. Overall Unico was great, not a big party resort and perfect for our honeymoon. It allowed us to kick back, recharge and really reflect. I highly recommend this resort if this is what you are looking for, it’s an experience you will not forget! In the end our love for Mexico and this region grew, we met beautiful people with kind souls with so much passion, we made new friends and can’t wait to return. We thank everyone who helped make our stay so memorable.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Most Amazing Resort

Most Amazing Resort - 3rd time for us and it just keeps getting better and better. The most amazing staff all around - everyone is on their A game to impress and make your experience an awesome one. Food at the buffet could be better. I found myself eating pasta each evening. Breakfast selection was awesome. Restaurants - amazing. Every thing is so clean. Like I said - 3rd time there. Most other resorts - the wear and tear shows - not at this resort - still looks and appears brand new.  [... read more] The most amazing clean pools and beaches. The beach has a lot of seaweed - but that is down to nature - the staff work hard to try to stay ahead of it - but that is some challenge!!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Really nice resort

This was a really nice resort. There was a lot to do all the time, The place was clean and the people were very friendly. My room was very comfortable and clean. The food was delicious and you never want for choice. The waiting staff were very efficient, friendly and quick to help you. I did go to the spa and it was wonderful. There is a huge mall ,bowling ally and casino on sit so at night after dinner there is some thing to do. They also have entertainment in the theater every night. [... read more] There is lots of beach to walk to.There are lots of off site excursions to take with very good guides.
