Melia Jardines del Rey: MIND BLOWING VACATION

This was mine and my husbands first trip anywhere and it was absolutely amazing. This resort is very big so lots of walking but very clean and beautiful. The beach was amazing the food was ok but from what I heard Cuba isn't known for its food. But it was good enough for me and I'm very picky. We arrived about 4 hours before check In so our room wasn't ready but that's not there fault. The room was always cleaned and fridge restocked. My friend even asked for like 10 extra beer and they  [... read more]gave him 14 so it was perfect. Highly recommend this resort. Had a wonderful time for our first trip. We already planned while there to go away again next year. We have officially gotten the travel bug. And I'm so excited.

Hotel Vigia: Just like home!

Sol Cayo Guillermo is an older resort, tired in some areas, but clean and comfortable. The people make this resort,,warm, friendly and helpful. The food is standard Cuban fare, lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and desserts. It is a smaller , quieter resort...not party central. The beach has been widened and there is plenty of room for all. They need some more lounge chairs, you have to claim one early in the day. Marieta , the Air Transat rep was helpful and reliable. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Perfect family resort

This was our first trip to Cuba so we were not sure what to expect. We were not disappointed. We has a great time!!. As soon as we got there check in was smooth and they took our luggage to our room by golf cart for us. Mind you our room fridge did not work, the t.v did not work and the thermostat would not stay at the temp. we set it. But after one phone call they fixed it ASAP. All the staff are friendly and polite. We spent most of the time at the ocean (we have a pool at home) My son always had activities going on. We saw a couple of the night entertainment shows. They were great. My son liked the Bochey Ball. The food was fine. some items could have used a little more flavour too them, but there were soo.... many other options to choose that you never went hungry. We stayed as a family in building 4. It is perfect walking distance to everything.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Ok resort for cuba

Just came back March 28 The landscape is beautiful . Try to get building from 1 to 6 if you can . We were put in number 10 and ask to be move closer to everything . The front desk were very nice and moved us to number 2 building which was awesome it had a nice view of the pool. The food was better then we expected especially in the buffet ,we really enjoyed the a la carte . We did not like the bed was very hard and also the pillows really flat . We would of like that the music was at the beach at least until 5 o'clock and also no food at the beach. Personally I didn't think there would be a lot of kids there being after March break but that wasn't the case actually I could not beleive the amount of kids there,a little disappointed cause our travel agent mentioned that it should be fine being after March break but I guess if you have kids and want to take them with you this would be a nice place to go. And also about the gym, didnt like the fact that it only open at 9 am doesn't give you much time to go get breakfast after especially the buffet time for breakfast close at 10:30 am. The shows at night were good but make you dont miss the Michel Jackson show very good . We had the couples massage mine was ok but the lady who give the massage to my husband was pregnant and not feeling good that day she stepped out twice out of the room during the massage for being sick with no apologies either which we thought it was rude .we felt bad for her that she had to work but maybe they should of got somebody else to replace her. anyway be careful if you book a massage at the spa. Now the service at the beach bar was awful very ignorant servers the two of them just talk to each other and gives you the drink without even looking at you . You say thank you and no welcome. And also the grounds workers would come to the beach bar with empty water bottles and get their bottles filled with rum and coke during working hours and they would get serve before you even thought you were there first, not sure about the service in the diamond club side. Overall we find that the service in general in cuba as changed a lot in the last little while .we went from loving Cuban people to not wanting to go back to cuba we were in cayo Coco in January 2017 and we felt the same .the service at the bars really bad . They don't really pay attention to you Didn't matter if you tip or not . Overall it was ok resort , big disappointment with the services, mostly at the beach bar . We will probably not return to this resort .

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great experience

This hotel was beautiful, the Lobby was very open and made it great to sit and relax while taking a break from the rest of the things to do there. The shows were awesome. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We ate at the Japanese, Mediterranean and the Gourmet and they all were delicious. Overall the resort was fantastic! We are planning to go back next winter.

Hotel Vigia: Lovely Experience!

This resort has a lovely otherworld feeling ... the atmosphere was gracious and staff are kind & pleasant. The night time entertainment was 5 star for sure (except the disco ... terrible music & considering the age of the crowd rock 'n roll might b more suitable.) The two restaurants offer fine meals and a terrific atmosphere .... and the buffet was fine. Melia Jardines del Rey: A great resort

Food was good, the beach and water was amazing, the people were nice and cater to everything we needed.. exciting entertainment every night.. more than enough pools with swim up bars. definitely would recommend this resort to friends and family

Hotel Mojito: Amazing!

If you're looking for an amazing beach, then I wouldn't really recommend this resort. There just isn't much tanning area on the sand BUT the staff is amazing and I will definitely come back ! I've been here twice because it's always such good energy

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Nice and Quiet!

When I look for a resort I look for small and quiet, I go away to RELAX! And that is exactly what I found at Memories Caribe. It was clean, we didn't have any issues with food. The only small issue was the comfort of the bed and the lack of water pressure, other then that it was awesome. We would definitely go back.

Hotel Vigia: Great getaway!

A great getaway for us! Food got better every day! The Cuba day food was amazing! Shows were very good, could use more clothing on a few of the dancers but it's the culture 😁 room could be in better shape but who spends their vacation in the room anyways? Service was very good! Very friendly staff :) we will be back for sure!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing

Staff were excellent . Room very clean. Food excellent variety. View was breathtaking. 7 days was not long enough will try 10 days or 14 days next time. Now the evening shows Were and are a must see Excellent job done.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. I have been to Cuba 3 other times and this was the best one. The food was good - always fresh fish for dinner, beach was beautiful and staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful. The entertainment in the evenings was always good and the beach activities were fun too.

Sol Cayo Coco: Gem in the rough

The hotel is old but very clean, the staff was very good to resolve any issues. The first night our bed was very uncomfortable so they exchanged our mattress and the shower was very slow so they changed the shower head and all was good. The food at the hotel is very typical for Cuba but there was always something to eat, an egg is an egg wherever. They have a beautiful beach actually 2beaches, no problem for chairs at either. perfect place for relaxation, we enjoyed a white sandy narrow beach, ocean water was nice blue, clear and had gentle waves, a lot of space for all, endless enjoyment, soft music for relaxation. We were here 2 years ago and just went back again for one week in march 2017 they made a great improvement to the beach it was beautiful the grounds where we'll kept all the staff was great the food was good the room was kept very clean thanks to our maid Videlia all in all it was a great vacation

Resort overall needs some maintenance and upkeep. Just little things are showing age and wear and tear. Food was good for Cuba. Good variety. Coffee in buffet was terrible but better at the lobby bar. Entertainment team was energetic and fun. Good shows at night. Beach is beautiful, clean and still has a bit of the 'raw' feeling as the strip is not peppered with resorts and tourism. Service is good, although you do feel the need to have your wallet handy sometimes. Housekeeping is sporadic. They do everything if you leave a tip, but if you don't that day, they might not leave you towels or clean your toilet etc. Would we go back? Probably not. We had a great time there, but it wasn't spectacular.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort and amazing vacation!

Memories Caribe is one of the cleanest resorts I've stayed. The grounds are impeccably taken care of, the rooms are newly renovated - at least the one where we stayed - and kept in perfect condition. The beds are very comfortable, and the interior is quite pleasant. The staff work really very hard to make the stay truly memorable. We went for long walks miles and miles [... read more] along the shore and were mesmerized by the beauty of nature, tides, variety of wildlife and abundance of very private nooks and spaces. The resort as well as the whole island of Cayo Coco is a very safe place, so there's nothing to worry about when you off for a long and relaxing stroll outside of the resort. The food is simple but fine: I found lots of healthy choices, as well as not very healthy yet delicious that we all treat ourselves with while at home in Canada, e.g. pizza, fries, hotdogs, etc. There are a few a la carte restaurants and bars, a buffet restaurant, a snack bar open 24/7, a beach bar, a swim-up bar at the pool and an ice cream parlour. The resort itself is neither too big nor too small, which makes it walkable yet not boring. The resort has a bank where you can exchange money. After hours, you can get Cuban pesos at the front desk as well. There's also a little store on the resort, so if you forgot something at home, you can always buy it there.

Very nice resort, rooms were clean, food was good. Ice cream shop was awesome. Beautiful beaches and pools were nice as well. Staff was very freindly and helpful when needed, overall it was a good trip.

This was our first trip to Cuba and didn't know what really to expect. Hotel rooms were modern,clean and comfortable, no issues. Staff were extremely friendly, beach was great lots of shells to find. Gardeners were constantly working on the grounds. Lots of variety of food at restaurants, food could've been hotter at the buffets at times. Overall a nice resort and will return in the future.
