Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: amazing resort

Very clean and beautiful grounds very nice and friendly people easy access to all play and swim areas over all just great entertainment very helpful. Great service great for kids best looking hotel on the strip great shows.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Fabulous Resort

From the day of our check-in until the day we left the hotel staff were super friendly and ready and willing to accommodate any request. The Activities Team are so talented, not only did they run the games during the day, but they were also the main entertainers for the live shows at night which involved some pretty amazing skills, fire show, dancing, impersonators, etc. they also get to know the guests by mingling in the lobby before show time. It's not a huge resort so finding your way around is easily managed. We stayed in block 72 and the room was excellent. New mattresses and really comfy. The room was close to the pool and we never had an issue with the pool noise. They could install an extra hook in the bathroom for your towels, etc. The only one they had was next to the toilet which was not convenient. The size of the room was a little small. Lucky the TV stand is open so we were able to store our luggage under it. We enjoyed the pool with the swim up bar and the servers were excellent. You give them a recipe for a drink and they were more than pleased to accommodate you. We were disappointed with the steak at the Steakhouse. The steaks were so tough that we ended up leaving half of it on our plate and the ribs I ordered at the American restaurant in the disco was all fat, hardly any meat. The buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was good with a variety of food every day and some days they had a special theme day. We ate at the Le Ceiba almost every day for lunch and the food was delicious with a variety of salads, burgers, fries, pasta, fish, Italian, Mexican, etc. The beach was OK but if you wanted to walk into the water it was really rocky. One thing I missed was not having the free Wi-FI in our room or at least offer it free in the lobby so that I could keep in contact with home in case of any emergencies. I would recommend the Iberostar to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay.

Hotel Mojito: great resort!

Rooms were clean and cool. The dining room was great! Would have liked to see a bit more variation in food. Staff was excellent, except for one waitress in pool side restaurant. entertainment good. I would have liked music and dance floor for us to dance. Weather great. BEACH INCREDIBLE!! snorkeling awesome!

Very beautiful and quite people were very nice great service but only had one pool amazing view we had food was very good staff were there on hand for your needs ocean was nice chairs were comfertable thick couchines rooms were amazing

Room was very nice. Cleaning staff was excellent. Front desk people were nice and gave great service. Pool areas were amazing, and beach was beautiful...nice and Sandy (very rough...red flags all week). Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing: Service, Food, Weather

The hotel offers services in close proximity to all facilities. It is super clean and safe. The staff are impressive, enthusiastic, caring, and always delivered a first class service. The food was tasty and excellent with a large variety of meats, vegetables and fruits. There was a great selection of food for vegetarians. Staff served with a smile and aimed to please. This is definitely worth a return visit! Thanks to everyone.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great vacation!!!

Although we came back to a snowy wonderland with another 30 cms today.....we had an excellent vacation! This was our second time at this resort (first time 4 years ago) and after reading some of the reviews, I must admit I was a little worried about going back!! After our first day there I was wondering if I was at the same resort other people had written about! It was great!!! We had requested an oceanview and once in our room thought that we would like a better ocean view. We went right back d [... read more]own to the front desk and the lady told us to come back the next day and she would get us a different room.....true to her word we changed rooms the next day and from our balcony were able to see over the tops of the buildings to the ocean and even the little island with the lighthouse!! All the staff always had a smile and an "Hola" for us and it was nice to see that it was still the same clean well taken care of resort that we had been at before. The food was good and always plentiful....we did 3 a la carte's and the Japanese was our favorite! The cook that we had was the same one as four years ago.....this says something in my books when an employee stays this long! We only did one excursion and that was the Jeep Safari.....it was a long day but a good one, snorkelling, swimming in fresh water caves, plantation lunch and a boat trip! Awesome time! We met some really great people and overall the week was most pleasureable!! The only negative thing that I could say about the resort would be the beach chairs....they are hard and not very comfortable when you spend the whole day at the beach......other than that ......all was good!!! I think that some people go away with the expectation of being waited on hand and foot.....I've read where people are upset because the sheets weren't changed everyday....really???? Do you change your sheets at home everyday?? I think not! These people work hard everyday to make our vacations memorable and all for 30 peso's a month.... and for that we get a clean room, 3 meals a day, activities all day and a friendly smile whether or not we tip!! If we all went with the attitude that this is vacation and let's enjoy it.......everyone would be happy!! I would definitely go back to this resort for a third time....no problem at alll!!!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Wonderful Escape

I was at the Iberostar in January with my sister and returned in March with my husband so obviously enjoyed the whole gorgeous place. Flying from Hamilton and their proximity to the Punta Cana airport is a fabulous bonus.

Hotel Mojito: Wonderful

very clean, beautiful grounds, very friendly staff, good food and lots of it at any time of day. Staff go out of thier way to make you feel like you are the only guest there! Only downfall is no balconys and no coffee maker in room.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great time

We just returned from Cuba and had a great time at the Iberostar Laguna Azul. We are beach lovers and this one is lovely. The food at the nightly buffet was terrific. We did get to the Japanese and enjoyed it as well. I have no hesitations recommending this resort.

Super clean, all the staff is great, the property is amazing!!!! The food was ok, over all it was good. It's a huge place, lots of walk, but they also had an great service with shuttle bus, great for family vacation

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Fair hotel gone down hill from 2 years ago.

Will not go back there again. Hardly any hot water. Had to ask 3 times for a safe. People at front counter was pretty rude. No toilet paper or paper towels in bar washroom. Food is awful. Need to change up food. Not the same food every day.

Hotel Mojito: A fantastic place to relax

As an all inclusive destination Mojito is the best bang for your buck. The beach is fantastic, the rooms are very clean, there is always food and drinks available. The staff are very corteous and friendly. There is nothing negative to say!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful Beaches.

Had a few bumps with this trip to Cuba. We waited several hours for bedding. The most frustrating part was the front desk kept saying, "ten more minutes," which turned into hours. Our shower was plugged up often. They had to come and plunge it a few times. They were prompt with this. Food was average at best. There was the least amount of choices in all the places we have stayed in Cuba. Grounds were well kept. The beach was stunning. More beautiful than Hawaii beaches. The manager did put forth [... read more] a good effort to make things right, though offering a 20 minute complimentary massage for all these problems hardly seems enough. Staff were average. Wifi was pretty good for Cuba. I like that the resort is small and you can always find your friends/family. The worst thing about this resort is all the chairs are reserved by 7:30 am!!! And they sit empty all day!!! There are ZERO CHAIRS for most of the day. I find this unacceptable. Invest in some more chairs!! That is what people go there for!!! Will not be back to this resort, or even Cayo Coco.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great nice sized resort.

Stayed at the Beach Resort Mar 3-10. Beautiful weather, 10mins of rain all week. All staff were great Star Friends were a lot of fun.(twitter,breezey,chocolate)tks. Special shout out for our lobby bar bartender President aka(percisily). Good selection of food at buffet eggs,bacon,pork,chicken,beef,salads,fruit, and many good deserts. Easy to get around resort. Hotel Mojito: Wonderful Hospitality !!

Iberostar Mojoto was a beautiful resort! This was my 5th resort/trip, Hands down the best hospitality I have received in CUBA so far ! Great Rooms, Adults only pool ! Plenty food, quick service. Amazing beach. Full on Entertainment. Ana at the front desk was Fabulous.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: iberostar cozumel - place to stay

This resort is extremely well run. rooms do need some upkeep, (some have been done already however, the one we stayed in was still quite run down although clean and comfortable. Food - great, staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend this on to friends.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: THE BEST

This was the nicest resort I've been to. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds were spotless. Beautiful animals and scenery to look at. PERFECT!!! The pool was great and lots of lounge chairs available.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Good service

Only one thing wrong with this place; only one.....its big! Grounds, while gorgeous, well kept,and lovely are huge. Maybe that's too much for me in my early 70's but a lot of walking is required. Otherwise, and I mean it.....otherwise it's wonderful! First are the people: friendly, eager to please, good sense of humour and accommodating. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Relaxing Time in Cayo Coco

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was amazing. The food was not spectacular but still tasty. Our room, the grounds, and restaurants were kept clean and neat. This is a very windy area of Cuba so be prepared to have a constant breeze the whole time you are there. There always seemed to be a shortage of long chairs at the pool and at the beach with guests selecting chairs as early at 7 am. Once we figured this out, we made sure that we selected our "location" early. If you are  [... read more]interested in working out at the gym, take your own towel. Of the four times we were there, there was only towels available once. The public washrooms were usually out of soap and the paper towel dispensers were filled with toilet paper. Not the best for drying your hands. All outlets are 220 volt, so you need to take a converter with you. If you plan on booking an excursion during your stay, you should think about taking cash with you. If you use a credit card, first they add 3% to the cost, then convert CUC to US funds when billing your card. That means you will also have to pay the US to Canadian conversion as well.
