Riu Palace Antillas: rui fantastic!

the food was excellent! the pool was sweet swim up bar amazing going to try rui palace next time. staff were amazing. casino was good if u are into that sort of thing. renting a car can be challenging no street signs making it very difficult at first but being a small island no problem getting around

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Excellent value for the price.

The grounds & the public areas were exceptional. The dinning areas were well appointed, very clean & we enjoyed the out side terrace for supper, & found the food was good as was the selection. The rooms were modest but clean & we had a great ocean view. The pool was excellent, lots of lounges, & ample shade. The overall service was extremely good. The resort manager. & the dinning room manager were always visible, & checking to see if everything was ok.

Riu Negril: Lovely Renovated RIU Resort

We spent a week in early December at the Riu Negril. The beach is in a quiet bay and lovely for walking, with no wave activity. There were seaweeds and muddy spots, but overall clean and warm water. Service was excellent and friendly. The entertainment was above average. The resort and our stay was all very nice except for the sand fleas... I was bitten all over and felt very uncomfortable.

Riu Ocho Rios: Very nice-clean resort, good beach, good food

We were 2nd time in RIO OCHO RIOS. Little bit far away form the airport 1.5 hr. drive. Driver stop for 30 min after 1 hr drive for "refreshments" that was not necesery. Tired from traveling we wanted to be at the hotel, not siting on bus and waiting for driver to get on the road. Registry: - went fast and they were very accomodating. Riu Cancun: fantastic resort

every thing was great the staff was excellent,always smiling happy to help with anything we asked,food and drinks were awesome I've stayed at a few other RIU resorts this one ranks right up at the top of my list!! thanks

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: So so rersort

Ground : Nice and clean. Bar service is excellent. Food is average. Entertainment is OK. Big cockroach found in my room. New beach shoe was stolen from balcony and was reported. I was here the 3rd time. The first two times was very good.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Old but great resort! Amazing staff!

We simply enjoyed our stay here and found the staff to be amazing. It is an older hotel, but that wasn't a problem at all. Our room was good with an Ocean view, spacious and clean with carpet floors and king bed which was very comfortable to sleep on. The beach was amazing but had nothing to do with the hotel, however the beach was literally a 2 minute walk down from the hotel which was very convenient. All food amenities were within the hotel itself and did not have to travel outside to other l [... read more]ocations for food. Food was good and we enjoyed the selection in the buffets. The Atlantis was only a few minutes walk from the hotel and could enjoy shopping, casino, and other benefits.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Excellent resort

Very clean, great service, the several pools meant that they were never crowded and the beach itself was beautiful. My only disappointment was with the a la carte restaurants. I found the buffet to be superior to the other restaurants. The entertainment was as good as could be expected.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great vacation

Met all expectations...and then some! Second time there, and will go back again. Based on typical weather patterns, should plan to attend outside of rainy season...I.e., go December --> March. Free entertainment in late afternoon includes watching hundreds of monkeys cavort in trees about half mile down the beach. Massive new Zip Line will start 5 minutes away by Christmas

Riu Ocho Rios: Very Good

We did not explore the resort thoroughly because it was raining almost everyday. Out of the 3 alacarts we dined at the scenery and food were very good. The beach was nice with many shaded spots from palm trees.

Riu Playa Blanca: reat place for a rest and peace of mind

Not to big and not to small , got all youneed Good food , great beach , lots of pools and about a hour ride to canal . Panana a great city to see, the people are not hanging on to your coat tails . had a great time . safe place to go, air port next door.

Riu Palace Antillas: Awesome Resort

The resort was clean and beautiful. The staff was over the top fun, friendly and courteous. The food was amazing and the entertainment was great. Loved that you could have all kinds of fun watersports right there at the beach. Top notch vacation.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful resort!

Gorgeous hotel and grounds. Extremely well kept and clean. Food was wonderful. Big downside for us was the noise during the night. We had trouble sleeping due to doors slamming, conversations and yelling all through the night.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great place to Stay

Could not have ask for a better vacation. Hotel clean, great food, great beach warm ocean and wild monkeys to feed. All of our excursions were top notch Airport was 45 min away easy in and out Trip Central agent was wonderful in getting everything done for us will be contacting her later this year for a return trip, thanks

Grand Memories Varadero: Good resort for Cuba

This is a nice resort for Cuba. But the Sanctuary is not as quiet a place as led to believe from the name. If you like to party and smoke there is an excellent club to go to in the evenings. But there is no where to go if you want to have a quiet smoke free evening.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Enormous Resort

There were five of us looking for a last minute, reasonably priced tropical vacation. Memories, Holguin was the cheapest available for the week of December 5th to 12th of 2015. Two in our party have been to Holguin before, the Blau Costa Verde and Playa Pesquero resort. So we were comfortable with choosing the Memories resort as it was only one beach to the east from beautiful Playa Pesquero beach. The resort is enormous, and it seems even bigger when you consider the whole thing is built on a  [... read more]hill so you are constantly walking up and down hills, up and down stairs. I wouldn't recommend the resort for people with mobility issues. If you are able bodied it is fine. The rooms were a big run down, termite damage to doors, ants in room, etc. The accommodations were adequate though and the maid service was great. Weird thing though, my fiance and I had a room with two single beds. So did my sister and nephew and our friend Mike. I've never seen a resort with single beds, made my fiance and I feel like we were the Flintstone's sleeping single. Note, mini bar is re-stocked daily with water only. If you are hoping for pop or booze in your room, you will need to tip the guy making the water rounds daily. For a buck he gave us beer and pop destined for the 'VIP Rooms'. Pools were great, many levels of pools and all different depths. Just be prepared that there is no washroom close to the swim-up bar. You can either trek down a bunch of steps to the bathroom located near the towel exchange or trek up a LOT of steps to the 24 hour bar. The beach is beautiful and the waters calm. But not as nice as Playa Pesquero beach. The reason, lots of grasses growing in the water and you can feel them between your toes. I also stepped on a lot of sharp pieces of rock or coral. Restaurants, we tried the Seafood one, none of us liked it. The Italian, was excellent. The Romantico was excellent. The buffet was mediocre and there seemed to be shortages of everything. There was only bacon one day in the week we were there, and tomatoes only two days. If you order a club sandwich, it's just ham and cheese. 24 hour restaurant isn't really 24 hours and they run out of hamburgers some days. The breads everywhere were excellent. Best server in the buffet is Luidmilla, everyone else was mediocre. Nightly entertainment is okay, loved the Grease show and the mock cirque de soliel show. We missed the water ballet show. Some points to note that can really ruin your vacation here, the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE. Each of us had over 100 bites each. And we had bug repellent. And there are about 40 stray cats around the resort and so we all had flea bites as well. I wanted so bad to smuggle the gimpy cat with the missing foot back to Canada. Poor little devil. If you are going to rest and relax this place is great for you. If you are looking for something exciting and with awesome food, this is not the place for you.

Riu Merengue: Great resort

Grounds were lovely and well cared for. My first time at a resort. Easy to fill a day with reading friends and water. Lots of food but always the same. Most of our party had travelers complaint which was not good. Love the living quarters. Staff very friendly.

Riu Guanacaste: It was a nice resort.

The hotel was clean and the staff worked amazing to keep it that way. The service was wonderful. The food was good. The staff friendly and work fast to serve and very welcoming. The pool area was kept clean as the rest of the grounds..

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Pretty nice! Beach could have been alot nicer!

The staff was friendly and kind. The food was pretty good. Nice pool and bar. Beach was rocky and sand wasnt that nice. Overall decent resort. The entertainment was not very good. The pools were seperated instead of one big one. The wifi that was supposed to work outside the lobby didnt when we were there. The ppl selling items were VERY bothersome and i had to avoid going into the shops completely.

Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort

The grounds, food service and workers were exceptional. The only improvement I seen was the mattresses on the bed, our bed had a hollow in it and I do not like the rubber sheets they put on the beds, they make it very hot for sleeping.
