Melia Cayo Coco: Very happy with resort

We would definitely return to this resort. Beach is absolutely beautiful. They do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in a lagoon room which was very nice. Grounds are very well kept. Only complaint is the cats. On the bus to the resort we are told not to feed the cats or dogs because they are wild but people feed them so they are around the eating areas looking for food.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: We had a wonderful vacation!

We went last year for 2 weeks and did it again. If you are looking for an awesome beach with warm water with a beautiful blue color, easy to go in with sand under your feet this is the one! We loved having a few evening drinks and with Jordan working there it was lots of fun and we almost felt like family. Everybody is nice! Melia Las Dunas: Fantastic Resort!!

This resort was amazing. It was surrounded by nothin but friendly resort staff. Not to mention a very clean resort ! Funtastic resort ….Beaches were out of this world beautiful and water was goregeous. we went on a Catamaran tour with a lobster dinner was great! met some really kool people from Nova Scotia.

Melia Internacional: A happy stay

Beautiful lobby area. Beautiful pool area. Beautiful beach. Nice rooms and bathroom, very spacious and clean. Lots of sun chairs and umbrellas. The Cuban people we encountered were all friendly and helpful.

Melia Las Antillas: Nice Size resort

The staff are extremely nice and friendly as we have always found while in Cuba. There were a few shortages but unfortunately this was expected due to Covid. We happen to be in Cuba on "Cuba Day" and a huge outdoor luncheon was happening with an abundance of food, drinks, dance and music. Not too many mixes for drinks and wine was only in the A la carte restaurants which was a bit of a disappointment. All in all a good time and love the size of the resort, it is not too big and not too small.

Roc Barlovento: Nice resort

All in all the experience was pleasant. Food is okay. Never seemed to run out of vodka or gin which was nice. Entertainment at resort was okay. I don’t recall seeing any pool entertainment and no water sports down by the ocean. A la carts were the same as what was being served on the buffet. Great selection of nearby restaurants that had great food and spirits. Pina coladas were tasty. Staff were very friendly. Security is a bit nazi but understandable. Good location. Closest to the airport.  [... read more]4 blocks from big market. Rooms were clean. Water was not warm most days (2nd floor) and if it was it had no pressure but everything else was good. Always had bottled water in room and didn’t need to lock phones or speakers up. Nothing was missing from the room. Overall good experience.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Just OK

Just returned. Some staff were exceptional, some not so good. Front Desk and Swim Up Bar and Bell Boys were excellent. Other staff were lazy. Even if you tipped service was not great. Gounds are a mess. It's not the workers fault. There are not enough staff. After my 3 dozen trips to Cuba I will not return to this resort. Lots of food shortages. The vegetables that were not covered in sauce were cold. No butter all week. Food was not labelled. Many rocks on the beach for the first 6 fe [... read more]et when you get in the water. After that, lots of seaweed. Sometimes no beer, or no sprite or no coke or no wine. No pasta all week. Weather was great.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: great beaches, lousy showers

The staff and service were great. The food was the worse I seen since coming to Cuba, now my 9th time. I feel for the people of Cuba as there supplies are meager. This shows in the food offered. Even the ala cartes were less perfect thn they used to be. Having a cold shower because they are saving power will cost the tourism industry money in that no one will come.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: The most Amazing Beach!

The resort and in particular the beach are beautiful! The staff are great, especially Alfonso at the beach, always happy and working so fast to help everyone in the heat. The wait staff at the a la carte restaurants (Italian, Tex Mex and Brazilian) went out of their way to be sure we had a great time (the Asian restaurant not so much). The resort is new and definitely still needs some tweaks. The night entertainment in particular is not great. I would not recommend the jeep safari excursion, and if you take the bus to the market go in the morning as most things are closed in the afternoon, probably due to the heat. All in all a great place that will only improve in time and with the additional resorts opening. Words can't even describe the beautiful beach! Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Decent

There needs to be lights in the pathways and the food was cold everyday, was a nice stay but with issues they didn’t get fixed while we were there, I don’t think we would come back but they definitely need work around the resort

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Revirw

The cockroaches in the buffet and restaurants were disgusting. I would not recommend or go back! When we called front desk for help with our bags upon checkout no one came. Pools also needed to be cleaner

Club Kawama: Terrible

Sadly we have to say that this trip was terrible. Simply we love the antiquity of this resort but there was nothing but problems . No hot water for 13 days!! No beach towel exchange for 6 days. Only room towels available were 2 small 12 x 24 inch towels for 2 people. Safe did not work. Lack of food items is not a major issue.as we understand the lack of commodity in this country....but broken toaster in main dining room took 7 days to fix. Also this resort allows locals constantly to visit and we found them very difficult.. We will Never return to this resort.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Great resort

This resort is very nice the people who work there treat you great food was good beach was awesome the girls who cleaned my room keep it spotless liked the way the bungalows were set up nice and private

Melia Cayo Coco: Awesome stay

We traveled to Melia Cayo Coco March 24 for one week vacation and loved everything about it. Resort is not very big but beautiful, clean and very well kept. Staff was very friendly, did everything to make visitors welcomed and happy, always smiling. Food was amazing, beach was one of the best we ever seen. We had nothing to complain about. We planning to returning soon again. Thank you from bottom of our hearts for beautiful vacation.

Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Great time, wonderful hotel

I would like to begin saying that I always received an excellent treatment from the entire hotel’s waiters and waitresses, bartenders, housekeepers and front desk personnel. The rooms, bathroom and the hotel in general was very clean and well maintained, the pool was terrific and also very clean and organized. There were plenty of hardware and furniture for seating and relax all around the pool and on the beach. There is a wooden bridge that gives access to the beach from the hotel. The bridge has a cocktails service where they prepare Pina-coladas, cocktails and smoothies. The food wasn’t the best if compared with other 4 start hotels I’ve been before but, it was fairly diverse and well prepared; fruit and salads were locally supply and seasonal (okra, tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon, pineapple, papaya, guava, eggplant and other). The restaurant is huge with 7 food stations grouped by, Juices deserts and drinks, vegetables and salads and fruits, meats and fish (beef, chicken, lamb, pork, shrimp, crab, tilapia filets and lobster meat) bread and cheese (gouda only I saw), charcuterie (serrano ham, mortadella, peperoni and a local made ham too salty for my taste) and two other stations, one with the legendary Cuban roasted pig black beans and rice and plantain and, the grill where you can get beef, chicken or fish (grouper, snapper, seabass) depending on the day. The hotel has an excellent stuff. I would like to mention the manager Miguel, who is always open to suggestions and critics, to Arbeli the guy who always keep the pool pristine and greet you with a smile in the face every morning. I also like to mention the excellent treatment I always received by the hotel desk personnel, Yaima, Dianelis and Henny (sorry for my spelling) among other whose names I can’t remember. I would also like to mention and thank Jorge the bartender and the girl also a bartender that, unfortunately, I can't remember the name, Pedro the chef and Oel the waiter in the restaurant and all the rest of the service personnel and bartenders from who I received a very professional treatment

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: DATED BUT WONDERFUL!!

Overall the resort was very nice. room was a bit dated but its only a place to sleep so no big deal. food at main buffet was a bit of hit and miss but never went hungry. enjoyed the meals at all of the the Cuban , Romantico(lobster) , Italian and the Japanese. managed to get fries a few times at the 24 hour snack bar . shows we attended were great. never stayed up late enough to try disco. Cigar bar was usually quiet, good place to smoke a nice Cuban Cigar and enjoy a Mojito. drinks were plentif [... read more]ul and served in a timely fashion at most locations. animation crew did a great job daily. snorkeling right of the beach was great with many fish to be seen. paddle boats , kayaks and free sailing out to the reef were avail for all but we did not partake as we just enjoyed the sun, the surf and the sand. would go back to this resort again for the same price point as we paid this time.

Hotel Mojito: Very good

Not a bad resort for the money, nice beach, average pools, great staff, food was basic. Lost the power a few times but came back on in a minute or so. long walk to the beach, Mosquitoes around at night, take bug spray. Mojito is a 6 1/2 out of 10

Memories Paraiso: It’s Cuba!

Other then having ants mold and other things I won’t mention on our mattress (which was flipped to hide the fact even more)… there was the whole having to book you “a la cartes” on a daily basis and not in advance. Now I’m assuming they did this because they used the same locations, which I figured out when I went for the italien restaurent and had a bad allergic reaction (seafood allergie) only to realize they had serve seafood the night before at the same location. Needless to say th [... read more]at was the last time we did a la carte. There were other issues but the others are to be expected when going to Cuba so it is what it is. Now, I have to say, the buffet in general was probably the best I’ve had in Cuba (we’ve been 8 times). They are going thru a terrible recession, so while not we’ll off to start with, they’re really hard of now. Be generous! I have to also say they had some management in from Mexico which seemed to have helped as well. Best beaches around. Last note: listen when the life guards whistle and tell you not to go to far out. A few people got caught because of a bad undertow one day, the life guards did what they could do but after close to 45 minute struggle and have brought all 3 people to shore. One person didn’t make it. You’re in Cuba… don’t be an idiot.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: NOT so amazing resort

The service and the hotel room are sub par 100!! Never stayed at a hotel in this state. See videos I included. Broken fridge, shower head handle not right and falling over. Dirty walls and ratty furniture. Terrible service. If they are not dispensing alcohol it's as if they do not understand what you are saying. Even after you too them and no matter how much the service does not improve. Chicken and fish do NOT expect anything else! Paid more for diamond club which included a stocked fridge daily.. ha!! Waiter service on beach. Hilarious!! No glasses available so they do not bring you anything. Want to drink bring your own glass, carafe, water bottle they will fill it. You will not find any to buy so sol if you do not bring them. Sad sad stay.

Hotel Mojito: Not bad

To start the check-in was good and the room was reasonable by Cuba standards. The first few days food was very slim. I do understand the resort was at low occupancy. As the week progressed the food got decent as more people were checked in. It was interesting to see the different workers would either favor Cubans or dismiss Cubans as customers. The biggest note to me was the store in the hotel, prices were twice as much as a tourist than they are as a Cuban. I also noticed that The storekeeper was accepting cash which in my understanding is not permitted in Cuba. If you're at any store in any hotel or outside always get an itemized invoice and it's better to pay with credit card. When this was brought up to customer service they said sorry and nothing was done. In other hotels that this has happened and I have told customer service they have done something. Overall I would not suggest this hotel
