Grand Pineapple Beach: Nice Piece of Paradise

Grand Pineapple is a quaint property located on 7 mile beach. The beachside cottages are great and close to all amenities. The buildings could do with a little TLC but that only adds to the Caribbean feel. The food is good and you could always find something to eat. The staff is great and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Terry

Secrets St James: Was an amazing resort.

The hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly. Both pools and lounging areas were awesome. Bartenders, waiters and waitresses were amazing and we had excellent service by all. It was just overall a very nice, friendly resort. Had an excellent holiday.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Wonderful resort!

Friendly and accommodating staff, beautifully kept grounds, good food, ocean view suites are wonderful, we'll kept and very clean. Plenty of activities for kids and adults. Have been twice and would go back again for a third time!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Wonderful trip - BEST staff!

We enjoyed the facility...our room was wonderful!! The meals were good. The staff were EXCELLENT...everyone seemed to enjoy their work and made us feel special! We definitely could do without the " butler " progamme. We had many different butlers during the week - most of whom were unable to help. Overall a wonderful experience!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: mixed feelings

We're seasoned travelers (35-45 yrs old) that go down south every year and usually try to book no less than 4 12* resorts. Although the resort is very nice, clean and well kept, I feel the need to address a few issues. First off CONSTRUCTION was a major issue for us. It's everywhere around the luxury section! Our room was on the 4th floor and Jackhammer noises, drills, hammers were heard 16 out of 24hrs every day! This is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. I can be patient but this was unbelie [... read more]vable! Forget about taking naps during the day, sleeping in, or spending a night without being woken up by noise. Sound from the hallways are also very disturbing, being ceramic instead of carpet. I still can't understand why they don't close off this section until renovations are complete. Such a shame for a beautiful resort! Can't really say which rooms are more isolated from construction as its everywhere, but we were a group of 8 and those on the 7th floor seemed to be less bothered and those on the 4th and 5th more. We complained about the non-stop noise to the Don Pablo staff but they were not of any help. Even telling us they were not aware of the construction in that part of hotel.. so much for service! We met the newly hired Butler manager at the pool and he asked us about our stay and seemed genuinely caring. We asked to be compensated with SPA credits to which he later agreed and gave us 50% off on top of our 20% air canada vacations credit. Although this seemed like a good deal, we had to sign lots of papers, copies of our passports, etc. only to be told by a different employee before checking out that the full charge was still on our account and they had no proof of us having received authorization for 50% off!! We spent our last hours on the resort trying to sort this off with lots of different employees. So disappointing for a 5 star resort! The rest of the resort was very good! The place is super clean! The floor around the pool was being washed with a steamer every night, bathrooms were always spotless and rooms were also clean. Although we had a hard time receiving hand towels or one to put on the floor in front of the shower, service was generally good. There are cats everywhere though. I'm a cat lover, but they all seemed malnourished. It's a shame that they don't address this issue. FOOD: Great food, premium drinks, etc. We tried all 4 restaurants and we must say our favorites were the Don Pablo and the Mikado (Japanese grill). The other two (Picasso and the Grill), lacked good customer service and ambiance. The mix of buffet and A la carte was odd and my opinion is they should stick with "a la carte" and not mix in buffet entrees. Buffet was nice and lots of selection! Breakfast was good at the Palmyra (adults only). Only disappointment was that there was no beach cantine. You had to get dressed to get any food and had to go at fixed times when the buffet or grill was open and couldn't bring food out. ENTERTAINMENT: Great reggae music and live bands at lobby and pool bars but other than this, it can get pretty boring for those wanting to party late. We were fine with this since we knew we'd get woken up pretty early by construction :( BEACH: I'm a beach kinda girl. Haven't spent much time at pools at previous resorts but this time was different. Beach, although nice, is small, very far from luxury section and closed off on both sides, meaning you can't walk for long distances. It seems as though the beach is man made. Still very nice though. We avoided the crowded first section where luxury section is and went to the far end where it was quieter and nicer. We did do some snorkeling and it was nice near the wedding gazebo. Don't venture out too far as waves can be tricky and pull you off shore. POOL: Very nice and large. Water is warm. Loved the morning aquarobics! Nice prizes to be won :) All in all the Bahia Principe is a nice and fairly large resort. As for paying extra for luxury, I would advise anyone to think twice as there was no part of our vacation that felt like luxury. Even the basket of toiletries in the bathroom was used previously, some boxes empty, creams half empty, etc. The personal touches that usually make up a 5 star resort were non existent. This being said, this resort has potential and will probably be better when construction is complete, but for now, I would advise to AVOID the luxury part, unless being bothered by loud and constant construction noise is your idea of relaxation! There were even kids running around in the adults only section and babied crying on our last few nights. No explanation as to why this was aloud in an ADULT ONLY section. I have kids and can be very tolerant but being woken up regularly by running kids, loud teenagers screaming in hallways and crying babies, was rather dissapointing, having paid extra to avoid this :( Hope this helps! Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Awesome Experience!

The resort was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful; we wanted for nothing. If we wanted to just relax we were able or if we wanted to participate in the daily activities the Entertainment Crew were always patient, helpful and encouraging. The location of the resort is right on the hip strip for anything your looking for.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: great resort

nice and close to airport rooms are a good size nice view from balcony food was ok staff were very good pool small beach not that good overall nice place at the right price we travelled as a group of 4 couples had a great time.

Jewel Paradise Cove: amazing & friendly

I have to start by saying check in was super fast, we had a fantastic room building 6 ocean view and close to the quiet pool. The hotel grounds were well manicured and clean, the staff were amazing special thanks to Ryan, Younique, and bar staff for serving our drinks promptly and having great conversations. Riu Ocho Rios: Fantastic Resort

Everything at this resort was great! Clean rooms, rest rooms, dining assortment, entertainment all day and night, lots of excursions to choose from. Front desk service good. All staff friendly and helpful always! Lots of laughs for sure. The only thing that went wrong was our flight at sunwing was delayed 5 hours so did not leave hotel until 10pm at night. Riu Montego Bay: Amazing vacation!!

Riu Monteg Bay is so beautiful...the people and entertainment crew was amazing, very friendly and upbeat. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The grounds are kept clean and daily maintenance was done. By far the cleanest resort that I have ever been to in the Caribbeans. The beach is also nice, small and short so it made it feel like your own private island/beach. And the food...is the best part...amazing! Amazing! Amazing!! Riu Ocho Rios: Second Returnee

This was my second time here on a boys gateway. The food quality and variety was great. Drinks were exceptionally great and a wide variety including wray & nephew. The staff very friendly, grounds well kept. Rooms nice and well kept. Beach great and pool area was lively. Most likely to return

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent Resort

Everything was awesome. There was only one thing that was wrong and that was a leak at the shower head. the restaurants where very good especially the Japanese one. They cook the food right in front of you, the food was amazing and delicious. The beach was great, we did some snorkeling and saw all kinds of colorful fish and sea urchins. All in all, we had an amazing time except when my wife broke her foot at Dunn's River Falls. I would go back again.

Dreams Rose Hall: AMAZING RESORT!!

We stayed at the Hilton Rose Hall from November 9-14 2015. It is absolutely beautiful and only 20 minutes from the airport. The food was amazing and he service was fantastic. The rooms are always clean and very well kept. There were a few places that construction was being done (eg: new improved railings on the balconies of empty rooms) but everything was to improve the already beautiful resort. no complaints at all and we would go back in a heart beat!!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Terrible customer service

This resort is lovely - nice beaches and lots of space, clean rooms and good food. The kids loved the water slides. However the customer service is so bad that we would not return. An enormous lack of service at the buffet restaurant (and we tipped!!), absolutely no response when we requested items in our room (water!!!) and we asked several times. I finally had to go to the front desk and beg for water to feed my infant son his formula. Not acceptable. We arrived at restaurants/spa/buffet on time and always ended up waiting for 20 mins past opening times or appt time. We arrived at noon and our room wasn't ready. We waited around boiling hot until 3:30!! When they finally gave us our key. The resort was half empty. My sister in law requested a room change because the neighbour's pot smoke was coming into her room the whole time and throughout the night and she has a child. She was told to check out at 11 and check into her new room at 3. By 4 pm - nothing. We called reception many times and we were told they're cleaning the room. Finally someone came to the new room (on the other side of us and her old room) at 4:15 and tidied it up -- it was empty the entire time but they were just too lazy to let her in it!!! Ridiculous. We have been to Jamaica lots of times and to many resorts all over. Poor customer service makes for a negative experience all together no matter how nice the beaches are.

Beachcomber Club: Great resort on the Famous 7 mile beach

Loved The Beachcomber Hotel, friendly staff, great location, good food, on the Beach, short cab ride to shopping....Good Bang for ur buck if ur on a budget and don't need 5 star amnemities. I would Definately go back again!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: worst experience I have ever had in Jamaica

service worst I have ever experienced .Grounds were beautiful.The advertised features of this hotel were all false.I was told could go ala carte all three nites ,once there was told one night only however a la carte restaurants were booked solid all three nights.I was told free pour alcohol in the room I had two beers in the fridge.

Riu Ocho Rios: great

It was a beautiful resort with lots to do for you and your kids clean and good food with lots of nice people willing to help had a great time and would love to go back I liked the 24hrs bar was one of my favorites and a casino can't beat that

Riu Montego Bay: Exceptional Staff, Food, Fun

Everything about Riu was amazing 5yrs ago and is still amazing today. All staff from the Maintenance Team to the Cleaning Ladies, Entertainment Staff, Food Seevers, Chefs sincerely and genuinely want to know you are having a great time! The rooms are extremely clean and when we arrived we needed are room changed because we had a King bed and I was traveling with my son so we needed two beds and the staff quickly reassigned us to another room. I highly recommend Riu!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful resort

This resort was very clean. Rooms were nice. Staff were excellent. Food was good with a real variety and such delicious fruit. The pool was breathtaking. Lots of patios all around to sit and enjoy the view. The only thing I didn't like was how There are no stores,restaurants, bars, etc. around. You have to take taxi everywhere which is not cheap. there is a shuttle though which runs hourly to some shops at another resort. There is some snorkelling on the beach. Service was awesome. Samsara Cliff Hotel: Great place to relax

This was a great little low key resort not a big party not a lot of action but beautiful views great swimming and snorkeling stuff very friendly and helpful authentic Caribbean food a wonderful place to relax on the clips of Jamaica we will return most definitely
