Iberostar Origin Tainos: Good Resort!

Overall good resort. Friendly staff. Beautiful beach. Food was okay, have to pick and choose. Staff at buffet and bars were great, knew exactly what we wanted within a few days of our stay. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing Resort

I loved this resort. It's size makes it easy to get around. The people and the grounds were great. The beach was beautiful. The pool was small, but never full. The food was excellent and the drinks were perfect. I will be back :)

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great people and beautiful beach

This resort could be better, it's not operating at its potential. Our room had a musty smell (which I know is common) , but this was very overpowering- maybe some air conditioner maintenance? There was mold on the wall in the bathroom. The fountains and water features had very little water, there were many burned out light bulbs, the food was never hot and neither was the water in the shower, but the people who work there are sooo friendly and helpful and the beach is spectacular ( and the pool  [... read more]is well kept too)

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great Resort! Third time back!

Once again we stayed at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. As usual, the service was great and the accommodations were also great! The are doing some upgrades to the garden (tile replacement) area so it will be very nice for our next trip.

Food service satisfactory. In restaurant line-up for freshly cooked food was so long that I did not use it once. Both toasters were so inadequate- had to be used six times to brown a slice of bread. WHY DOES NOBODY FIX THEM. Expectation of tips even asking for them is annoying. Fresh fruit was lovely.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great service

This resort had good food, staff, and beach. I had to use my friends suit to shower because there was no hot water in my suit. . This resort is good for litthe kids and older crowds. I overpaid for this resorts actual worth

Hotel Mojito: Ahh Cuba

As with most resorts in Cuba, the routine maintenance and upkeep have turned what appeared to be a real gem into an above average resort. The Staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was well above standard with varied selection and well presented. This is not a 4 Star resort. But it has an authentic beautiful and charm. Do not miss the cigar lounge!!! Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: One of the best vacations of our lives

This trip wasn't all about the journey - it started with our agent who worked with to find the perfect resort for us and the boys. From that point on it only got better. The resort was more amazing then we could have imagined. The staff were incredibly out going and easy to deal with and would do what they could to accommodate your needs. There really is far to much to describe to give you full details of how great this vacation was. From the front desk staff, to the guys greeting you at the door. From the housekeeping staff smiling all the time and asking what you might need for your room. To the entertainment and wait staff knowing my boys by first name and addressing that way to make them feel special. They say that Disney Resorts are the happiest places on earth....after this week I beg to differ. Its the only place I have ever been where on the first night there I said to my wife....we will be back here again. So much to do and be involved it you never have to leave the resort !! Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing Resort- my home away from home

My 4th stay and it has definitely become my home away from home. Exceptional staff and nightly entertainment is excellent. Boogie night show awesome! And iberoawards show is awesome , great food. A must return :).

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great place to vacation!

Beautiful resort, very clean, great beach! Very hospitable and friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend for families. Wish the night entertainment was better though, this is the only think lacking.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Fabulous Beach

We loved the beach and the snorkeling and the gardens were lovely. The lobby and general facade were very attractive but the rooms and amenities(mattress, linens, towels) are old and tired. The buffets were adequate but only rarely did they serve the local beans and rice dish, congris and their excellent black beans. The staff are friendly and really do their best but there is a lack of leadership/management that could inspire better service. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Fantastic Family Vacation

We had an amazing time at this resort. Totally geared toward families so I highly recommend for traveling with smaller children. Friendly staff, clean hotel, good food, fantastic beach. The wait staff always talked with our daughter at every meal - she loved the attention. Waves were a little high but that didn't stop us from paddling around the shore. Overall, we didn't want to come home!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: A lot of money for what you get

Overall the resort was nice. Needs a lot of maintenance, dark walking around at night because half the light bulbs are out. The beach was nice, people are friendly and the beer is cold. Be prepared to walk... one beach to the other is 1.5 hour round trip. Have to take a golf cart shuttle basically anywhere you want to go. Stay away from the buffet whenever possible but the a la carte's were excellent. Not very much (if any) entertainment at the pool or beach. Long drive from the airport, about 1 [... read more].5 hrs. Found it to be expensive for Cuba, better off going to Jamaica or somewhere else in my opinion. Got to go to town with one of the workers from the resort, was an excellent experience to learn about the Cuban culture and highly recommended if possible, very safe country. We were there for a wedding which the reception was outside at the pool, they did a very nice job and it looked great. Service was great. Front desk check in was brutal, took over an hour to check in, they had two people working for two buses full of people. All in all we had a great time but I think it was because we were with a group of 40 awesome people.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Gorgeous beaches

There isn't much to say about the resort except the staff were amazing and the beaches were gorgeous. Other than that the food was not great and the hotel was very spread out. Lots of junk and garbage in the bushes and the rooms needs a lot of maintenance. If you ever have an issue do not expect to get hold of a manager as they are not available. I would go back to Cuba but I would not go back to this resort. And never travel via sunwing.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Not what I expected

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were not impressed. The check in was slow. The hotel was in need of repairs (the ceiling in our bathroom fell down). The only good part was the staff. Our maid was excellent. The bartenders were friendly. The omelettes were tasty. The pools and beachs were amazing.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing resort!

Loved this place. So clean. Good food. A la cartes were great. Grounds were immaculate. Lots of walking but that was good. Internet usage was not fair. Paid for one hour but the one hour was only usable for ONE day. Did not tell us that when we bought Internet time. This needs to be reviewed. No other resort does this. Still, we will return some day!

Hotel Mojito: Wonderful holiday!

Went to this resort February 11 - 19 (got an extra day due to weather in Canada.....darn!)This was a great choice for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Beaches are beautiful, pools are clean and well maintained, great bar service, food selection was impressive, a-la-cartes were so nice, you had wine service at the buffet which I did not have at another resort i had been to in the same region...I could go on and on. The beds were ok, not luxurious but comfortable enough, bedding is dated but the rooms were clean, staff were great. The layout of the resort made for some beautiful evening walks, particularly the walkways over the water. You could also venture just up the road to a beautiful little marketplace. We miss the morning cappuccino so much. The lobby area is beautiful, a great gathering place BUT not near as much fun as the Cigar Lounge...awesome spot, great atmosphere, wonderful band and Freddy, the best bartender in all the land! I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Just Ok

This hotel was run down and in need of a good paint job and some updating. The hotel lobby ripped you off on exchange and gave you rates based on the American dollar (example: for $100 Canadian you would receive 72 pesos). Snack bars changed locations daily which got confusing. The main buffet was the same every day which was boring and bland. You need to bring condiments with you as there are none available with the exception of mustard. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great b [... read more]each; didn't spend any time at the pool but I heard they were not heated and that the ocean was warmer. If you have a little extra cash might be worth going elsewhere. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best either but that is to be expected for Cuba.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Mediocre

The actual grounds of the resort were beautiful and well maintained. The beaches are beautiful like all the beaches in Cuba. I was surprised by how little English the resort staff were able to understand and speak. The food was basically flavourless and there was no variety from day to day. With the weather and environmental conditions I was surprised that the resort was serving canned pineapple rather than fresh. JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Another Grand Stay at a Grand

This is our third Grand. The other two were Grand Bavaro and Grand Rose Hall. This one is just as nice as the other two. The food was better here, but the 'cool' salt water pool was a bit of a drawback. This does not mean we did not enjoy ourselves, but just wanted to note it. We were there for ten days in February 2015, and I wish I was back there now. The beach is beautiful, food was good, the staff were first rate. Can't wait till next year.
