Ocean Coral Spring: Meh (would only recommend if you have young children)

Cons The AC in the room gave us issues the entire time One of the beds in my room were very old and made so much noise. The first two days the water pipes in the room were pipping hot until maintenance fixed it Towel all week in the room were hard to come by, I had to call almost night for towels so we could shower even after housekeeping came and leaving a tip. The hallways throughout the resort were not swept all entire week I was there, by day 6-7 they were filthy. Wait times for Ocean  [... read more]burger and the Jamaican grill hut were ridiculously long 15-20 mins standing waiting for food Not enough pool/beach tables for drink/food. The room are already starting to look worn down for a new resort Elevators had issues, were very small and not enough space capacity for such a large building On my last full day the pool was very dirty(I was wearing goggles). If on the top floor your balcony has not shelter from rain Pros The outside of the resort was very aesthetically pleasing Big pool Nice water park Food at most places were good(if not over salted) Children had fun Good night entertainment

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Do not Go!!!!!

Horrible resort to say the least. Too many things to mention. Let me start by mentioning that we had diamond club which comes with early check-in but our check-in was delayed by 4 hours. Our room-service order was never delivered or delivered hours later resulting in us missing meals (restaurants closed) Housekeeping was disgusting, they left pools of water in the bathroom on which I slipped and almost fell (my husband caught me). Their restaurants never had what they offered in the menu (we alw [... read more]ays had to take the alternate option, they didn’t even have onions for the omelette!). The cherry on top of our disastrous stay was our check-out. Our shuttle was scheduled at 4:45 am and our pickup from the room to bring us to the main lobby was at 4:15. we were ready and waiting from 4:13 and when no one showed up until 4:25, I called the front desk and was told that someone was on their way to get us. We waited another 10 minutes and called the front desk by which time, they never answered. I kept calling until someone came around 5:05. As we were leaving the room, the phone rang and it was the shuttle bus driver calling me to tell me that I was late and he was going to leave me. I then started explaining to him that I didn’t have a ride to get to the bus and he told me that it was not his problem. I hung up on him and got in the tram with our luggage, the guy drove so fast, that one of our luggage fell off. The driver got excited and jammed the brakes so hard that all of us banged our knees so hard my daughter started crying. He picked up our baggage and took us to the lobby only to find that our shuttle had left. I was fuming by this time. It was already around 5:15. When I explained this to the front desk, the guy told me that I’ll have to take a taxi and pay for it!!!!!! Anyways, we made it home in disbelief and are still unable to get over our miserable experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nothing 5 star about this hotel!!

I recently stayed at the Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica in Runaway Bay and had a generally okay experience. The hotel boasts absolutely stunning outdoor grounds, meticulously maintained and perfect for a relaxing stroll. The lush greenery, beautiful landscaping, beach areas and inviting pools truly create a serene atmosphere. Additionally, the staff was consistently friendly and eager to assist, which added a welcoming touch to our stay. Overall, the food quality unfortunately fell short of expectations. The food was satisfactory, but not exceptional, limiting our dining options further. There were a few issues during our stay that detracted from the overall experience. The lack of air conditioning in common areas made it uncomfortable at times, especially during hotter parts of the day. The wifi was spotty/ did not work at all in some areas of the hotel. Also, due to the tv being apart of the wifi system, when the wifi had an issue during our stay the tv did not work for 4 days. Some repairs around the hotel seemed unfinished(very rushed work), and the overall aesthetic of the property wasn’t as modern as one might expect for the 5 star price. We also encountered a couple of roaches in the eating area and hallways, which was very concerning. The hallways themselves are open to the air, so when it rained, they would get wet, which was inconvenient and potentially hazardous. Despite these drawbacks, I do believe there is room for improvement in a few key areas to ensure that the hotel fully lives up to its potential. The hotel is marketed as a five-star establishment; however, considering all of the above, it fell short of expectations and seemed to be more of a 2 star experience.

Riu Montego Bay: Pool Party Place

I would recommend this resort to people who like to party, be entertained and who mostly use the pool. Not a place if you are looking for peace and quiet or if you mostly use the sea as there is a lot of seaweed in the water. We wore water shoes every day as we only use the beach and sea. No complaints with our rooms or getting towels. Lots of choices for food and staff were mostly good at providing service whether or not they were tipped. Enjoyed being in Jamaica and all it has to offer but would not return to this hotel because we prefer beach and a clear sea.

Riu Ocho Rios: Not the same

Beautiful resort, staff is pretty nice n friendly. Food is not good anymore. Entertainment not so great anymore. Pools seem unclean. Too much young children running around in the lobby and pool area's. Party vibes are ok. Overly crowded at this particular resort. Used to love this resort in the past and now it lost that touch.

Ocean Coral Spring: Excellent, clean friendly resort

The hotel was in excellent condition, very clean all the employees are so welcoming and friendly. The hospitality was overwhelming. The foods were amazing, so much to choose from the coffee was excellent! The presentation of the foods at the alacart restaurants were great! Overall a great fun resort!

Legends Beach Resort: Roach motel

This hotel is the worst hotel in negril , there is 2 properties under the name so if you choose garden view it will be across the busy street with no security or cross walk . There is no garden to view it’s only bushes and bugs. Upon check in our room had no light in the hallway to see I was using phone flash and every room in the hall way had a leaking Ac unit infront of the main door. I fell and injured my back and They have no medical on site either to even assist. Upon entering the room we [... read more] saw an infestation of enormous flying cockroaches and mold on the ceiling. I complained to the office staff and they said they can’t do anything and fill out a paper complaint. Terrible service terrible location. After 10 pm there is no staff insight no security no office help no towels, no fridge . Basically a hostel !!!

Legends Beach Resort: WORST TRIP EVER

This hotel is pit from hell. Upon checking in we were sent accorss the street to want is listed at “garden view” but is really just bushes and goats. I was a party of 8 and the rooms were infested with roaches. The hall was wet and all ac units were leaking. There is NOBODY to be found on the grounds after 10 pm so you have to fend for yourself until 8:30 am when the office opens at which point the staff are rude and dismissive. Sandals Negril: Sandals Negril resort

BAD. Will not recommend. I thought I was in Cuba. Terrible front desk services. Hotel management doesn’t take complaints seriously. Wait for 2 hours to get our rooms despite arrived after 2:30 pm. Typical hotel check in time is 3pm. Lack of communications and no reason was given for room availability and late check in . I will not staying at any Sandals resorts again.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort

This hotel is very nice, but have some problems with the elevators, sometimes do not work and one time we had blackouts. Also in the hotel corridors people leave always plates with food on the floor, that they bring to the room and leave it out with leftovers food. The food at the buffet is good and there is a lot of variety.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Mediocre resort

Rooms were not clean properly. There was hair in the sink stained on the bed linens and the AC was not working in our room. Then after showering there was water leaking from the shower lights and on the wall and ceiling in the room. We asked to be moved and they were going to put us in a room with lots of mold on the ceiling. Food at the main buffet area was always cold. The entertainment was live music and singing but nothing for teens to do. The grounds were well taken care of and the pool was clean.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Amazing resort!!

Food was phenomenal! A la carte's were top notch. Friendly staff. The property was well maintained, housekeeping staff did an outstanding job. Everything was very clean. Would definitely be returning.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good resort

The grounds were spacious and well maintained. There was a large variety of food and it was good. The fresh juices were occasionally watered down. The staff were good and courteous. The service was extremely slow for check in and other requirements at the front desk. The room service was bad. For every service there were different staff. Therefore much time was spent chasing for sevice.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: High expectations

Disengaged staff and poor dining experiences really hindered our stay and our experience. Without a reservation to a restaurant, there was only 1 place to eat dinner, and the food was bland, and poorly made. We expected much more from the largest resort in the carribean.

Ocean Coral Spring: Wonderful Escape

We stayed at Ocean Coral Springs July 1-8. I have to say this resort was wonderful. We stayed in a Swim up room that was clean and in a perfect location. Very spacious and comfortable beds.Daily housekeeping provided.We had full running AC, and hot water our whole stay. Only downfall was WIFI connection was in and out.The beach is small and rocky.Main pool was large with lots of room for everyone,and the Blue Team was great entertainment during the day. Good selection of restaurants and buffet , [... read more] our favourite was La Locanda. We felt there was a good variety of food choices.The grounds were well kept.Staff were friendly and supportive before, during and after the hurricane.The staff made sure everyone was taken care of. They did a fantastic job.We really enjoyed our stay at this resort and would definitely return.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Spacious and comfortable

I really enjoyed my week here. The property is huge and very well maintained by a professional and courteous staff. The beaches were clean and uncrowded. Shows nightly for those inclined. It was tough to get seats at the restaurants (maybe since I was solo?), but food was very good with lots of options.Room service took some time, but it's a big resort. Sandals South Coast: June 2024

Fabulous resort and grounds staff very friendly and polite Beach is not great water is weedy and cloudy not clear you can’t see your feet in waist deep water 9 times in Jamaica at other resorts water and beach here was unfortunately the worst we’ve encountered in Jamaica

We loved the hotel. The garden area was very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable. It was good to have a safety deposit box. The beach was great. The continental breakfast was good, you have the option of buying a la carte also. We tried the a la carte breakfast and it was very tasty. The lunches were also fine. Great front desk, restaurant, bar, and cleaning staff. The hotel was perfect for us because we wanted the beach and the option of eating at different restaurants on the s [... read more]trip. If this is what you are looking for, then go for it.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Beautiful Resort

This resort was more than expected! It was beautiful, clean and the staff were wonderful. The food was amazing and the choices for off property excursions was fantastic! We had a wonderful time and would come back again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you so much for making my first resort experience a great one to remember!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

Food was good in all spots. The resort was a lot of fun. The bartender and service around the resort was very easy for us top notch. They made Canadian Ceasar drinks. Maybe only issue there were a lot of kids and big groups maybe not for all but it didn't bother us.
