Princess Senses the Mangrove: Out of this world!!

We just came back from what I can only describe as the true heaven on earth, not only does this resort have all the amenities you can imagine, but the staff here are like the family you never had! We p [... read more]robably tried every breakfast buffet, you can get drinks everywhere you go, and the dining options are most exquisite, you just can’t go wrong. Our preferred breakfast buffet was the Platinum Club at the top, as for lunch, we had it on the beach courtesy of our butlers (Pierre and Questos) and dinner is simply the cherry on top, the mouthwatering experience alone will make you wanna come back for more. The beach: MAGNIFICENT! The semicircular beach here is very secluded, unlike other resorts, no one is trying to sell you antiques or weed here, the only thing that could possibly disturb your beach nap is your inner cravings for more food. The rooms: every room in this resort is ocean facing, the resort is uniquely designed to accommodate the very best options for every guest, it’s so spacious, clean, and cozy at the same time. The Platinum Club: the luxury option at the heart of this experience, and if you’re debating whether it’s worth the extra cost, it definitely was! We were assigned to Pierre and Questos who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, those two gave us a royalty treatment like no other… Let’s go grab lunch, a minute later, Pierre appears with a lunch tray filled with everything your heart desires, I’m craving cornflakes, super Questos knocks on the door with my favorite choices, every minute of everyday they were one step ahead of us, and the beauty of it is that we didn’t even ask! Those guys reawakened my inner child, where you always get what you want! The Family: It’s true what they say about Jamaica « No problem, only situation »… everyone’s happy and they all work together to make you feel like you belong. From the moment you show up, you are welcomed home. We’ve never met so many happy people at the same time in our lives, but aside from our butlers, we wanna thank Carline, Jenoy and Tashana from the Platinum club, Chuddian from the coffee shop, Garry from the gym, chef Oshaine, Romain, and Deneil from Robet’s flame steakhouse, that meal was insanely good, but I never expected to fall in love with the dessert that comes after more than a piece of steak. Chef Carlington from the Teppanyaki place gave us the most delicious food show in Jamaican style, I’ve never had Teppanyaki before, it was love at first sight! And if you wanna spend a night like no other go to the Blue Note Piano bar at 8:00PM, you’ll meet Wadworth, the sweetest bartender in Jamaica, and if you’re lucky you might cross paths with the greatest Pianist/Musician you’ll ever encounter, Jae javauhm, I honestly don’t know how he’s not international yet! This guy is gonna become Jamaica’s next hit, don’t miss his show! There’s just so many people that we cannot do them justice by one review, there was not one person that we met who didn’t go above and beyond for us, so thank you all. This place is just another luxurious resort, but only with the amazing family there it becomes JAMAZING!! We just wanna go live there!

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Great place to stay

Great resort to spend some relaxing in the sun. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was great and lots of choices for everyone's tastes. The entertainment was awesome. Lots of chairs at the beach and the watersports team was fantastic especially Delmart, loved the catermaran ride! Rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating. All the staff worked hard to make your stay enjoyable. Ps your photo does not match the resort we stayed at? .

Couples Swept Away: Very Good Resort, except the internet

All was amazing, especially the beach and fine sand and crystal clean water with beautiful light blue color. The room was comfortable and specious with a tropical garden view. food, less variety than 5 years ago, but still very good. One thing that did not work was the internet, constantly not connecting. We complained to the front desk on the third day, but no one came forward to even investigate, so we were without the internet most of the time during the 7 days we stayed.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: RIU Aquarelle Oalace

The hotel was clean and so were the grounds. Friendly, helpful staff. I found the floors inside the hotel were slippery. No matter what type of shoes you wore; flip flops, sneakers. The food was very good and something for everyone’s taste. There was one night, Thursday with the Latin dancers which was disappointing.

Riu Montego Bay: The resort itself was Ok

The beach was terrible. In the ocean the sand was mushy. Not nice. Check in was at 11 am, we new our room would not be ready until 3. we waited until 4:30 and no one contacted us. We went to the lobby and stood in line for 1 hour . They changed 3 out of the 4 rooms we had as they said they were not ready. No beer in our room every day. No coffee in the room everyday. No toilet paper. Hairdryer wasn't working , they came and fixed it but left the screws and garbage on the floor. At the buffet w [... read more]omen can wear strapless dresses but men have to have sleeves. This is sexist. smoking isn't allowed any where unless its marijuana. You cant even smoke on your balcony at your room. No golf carts to take your luggage to your room. No consistency between the rooms. No lighting in the hallway. Ala cart Sophia we booked online for 5 people. When we arrived we got such a hassle said it was for only 2 people. We finally got in and had to wait for over 1 hour before our food showed up. Food in general is good. Wait staff are great. So happy that at the buffet all the foods are labeled for people with gluten allergies.

Couples Swept Away: Good Time

The hotel is very nice, great beach!!!, the staff is wonderful. The 2 a la carte restaurants that need reservations are good but the process for making the reservations really needs to be improved. It was very difficult to make reservations and to get a time that was acceptable. We were there for 2 weeks and could only get a reservation twice in the one restaurant. Also, leaving for the airport we had to be picked up 5.5 hours before our flight when the trip to the airport was only 1.5 hours [... read more]. This was a bit too early and could have spent more time at the resort before leaving. Overall the trip was lovely and we had a great time but it could have been improved in some areas.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Great resort

Friendly, clean and helpful resort. For an adult resort it was pretty quite and reserved. Daytime Entertainment team was excellent Food was great, big variety Paid for gardenview room but was given the lowest rated room as they did not have anything available unless I pay 35.00 per night ??

Dreams Rose Hall: Not impressed

I would unfortunately not return to this hotel. Sunwing provided me with a room that faced a construction site, there were always five men outside of my balcony working so I did not get to use it comfortably. The bathroom was dated and did not even have a bathroom fan. The first day I entered the resort I was guilted into attending a meeting that took 3.5 hours away of my Vacation time. They were asking my family to invest 40k this week into the hotel. The food was hit or miss. There was garbage [... read more] and seaweed all over the sand of the beach area ( no one cleaned it, I saw the same garbage for the entire week) and the beach itself was filled with gross seaweed touching your legs and feet. They also have a sign suggesting people wear water shoes and they have sea urchins. Some areas of the hotel are freezing and yet I heard everyone say their air conditioning doesn’t work at night (including mine) Not sure what’s going on there. The accessibility rooms do not have a walk in shower you still need someone to lift you into a tub. There were pilllows randomly around the hotel due to leaks and paying an additional $40 usd to attend the three palms restaurant was not worth it and should have been included at no extra cost. On the bright side, the staff are wonderful. Simply amazing.

Samsara Cliff Hotel: Home away from home

This was my third time staying at Samsara . They make you feel very welcome there. As a returning guest ,they had upgrade my room to next to the ocean which was so lovely. Many of the staff remember me from before. Loved the food and drinks. Cant beat fresh fish.I loved seeing the new addition to the resort and the new pool was wonderful.This is a fairly small resort so you get to know the staff and other guest. I made friends there 5 years ago and we all met there again. Its great they have a s [... read more]huttle to take you to the beach at there sister resort. I had a great time and would return! I highly recommend this place.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Amazing resort

The hotel and surrounding was very nice the ambiance was relaxing , the Christmas decorations was beautiful One thing is the floor in room seemed a bit we when the door was open I think it was humidity in air I expected some more Caribbean dishes , like sweet potato and cassava and some Jamaican soups

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great vacation

The resort was great. Staff amazing and the food was good. Only a few minor minor things. Would have liked for them to give me my luggage. I only had carry on but had to wait 20 mins for them to bring it to the room. More hand soap dispensers are needed in public restrooms. The beach area is to shallow, wish it was deeper.

Ocean Coral Spring: Meh (would only recommend if you have young children)

Cons The AC in the room gave us issues the entire time One of the beds in my room were very old and made so much noise. The first two days the water pipes in the room were pipping hot until maintenance fixed it Towel all week in the room were hard to come by, I had to call almost night for towels so we could shower even after housekeeping came and leaving a tip. The hallways throughout the resort were not swept all entire week I was there, by day 6-7 they were filthy. The room are already starting to look worn down for a new resort Elevators had issues, were very small and not enough space capacity for such a large building On my last full day the pool was very dirty(I was wearing goggles). Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Do not Go!!!!!

Horrible resort to say the least. Too many things to mention. Let me start by mentioning that we had diamond club which comes with early check-in but our check-in was delayed by 4 hours. Our room-service order was never delivered or delivered hours later resulting in us missing meals (restaurants closed) Housekeeping was disgusting, they left pools of water in the bathroom on which I slipped and almost fell (my husband caught me). Their restaurants never had what they offered in the menu (we alw [... read more]ays had to take the alternate option, they didn’t even have onions for the omelette!). The cherry on top of our disastrous stay was our check-out. Our shuttle was scheduled at 4:45 am and our pickup from the room to bring us to the main lobby was at 4:15. we were ready and waiting from 4:13 and when no one showed up until 4:25, I called the front desk and was told that someone was on their way to get us. We waited another 10 minutes and called the front desk by which time, they never answered. I kept calling until someone came around 5:05. As we were leaving the room, the phone rang and it was the shuttle bus driver calling me to tell me that I was late and he was going to leave me. I then started explaining to him that I didn’t have a ride to get to the bus and he told me that it was not his problem. I hung up on him and got in the tram with our luggage, the guy drove so fast, that one of our luggage fell off. The driver got excited and jammed the brakes so hard that all of us banged our knees so hard my daughter started crying. He picked up our baggage and took us to the lobby only to find that our shuttle had left. I was fuming by this time. It was already around 5:15. When I explained this to the front desk, the guy told me that I’ll have to take a taxi and pay for it!!!!!! Anyways, we made it home in disbelief and are still unable to get over our miserable experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nothing 5 star about this hotel!!

I recently stayed at the Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica in Runaway Bay and had a generally okay experience. The hotel boasts absolutely stunning outdoor grounds, meticulously maintained and perfect for a relaxing stroll. The lush greenery, beautiful landscaping, beach areas and inviting pools truly create a serene atmosphere. Additionally, the staff was consistently friendly and eager to assist, which added a welcoming touch to our stay. Overall, the food quality unfortunately fell short of expectations. The food was satisfactory, but not exceptional, limiting our dining options further. There were a few issues during our stay that detracted from the overall experience. The lack of air conditioning in common areas made it uncomfortable at times, especially during hotter parts of the day. The wifi was spotty/ did not work at all in some areas of the hotel. Also, due to the tv being apart of the wifi system, when the wifi had an issue during our stay the tv did not work for 4 days. Some repairs around the hotel seemed unfinished(very rushed work), and the overall aesthetic of the property wasn’t as modern as one might expect for the 5 star price. We also encountered a couple of roaches in the eating area and hallways, which was very concerning. The hallways themselves are open to the air, so when it rained, they would get wet, which was inconvenient and potentially hazardous. Despite these drawbacks, I do believe there is room for improvement in a few key areas to ensure that the hotel fully lives up to its potential. The hotel is marketed as a five-star establishment; however, considering all of the above, it fell short of expectations and seemed to be more of a 2 star experience.

Riu Montego Bay: Pool Party Place

I would recommend this resort to people who like to party, be entertained and who mostly use the pool. Not a place if you are looking for peace and quiet or if you mostly use the sea as there is a lot of seaweed in the water. We wore water shoes every day as we only use the beach and sea. No complaints with our rooms or getting towels. Lots of choices for food and staff were mostly good at providing service whether or not they were tipped. Enjoyed being in Jamaica and all it has to offer but would not return to this hotel because we prefer beach and a clear sea.

Riu Ocho Rios: Not the same

Beautiful resort, staff is pretty nice n friendly. Food is not good anymore. Entertainment not so great anymore. Pools seem unclean. Too much young children running around in the lobby and pool area's. Party vibes are ok. Overly crowded at this particular resort. Used to love this resort in the past and now it lost that touch.

Ocean Coral Spring: Excellent, clean friendly resort

The hotel was in excellent condition, very clean all the employees are so welcoming and friendly. The hospitality was overwhelming. The foods were amazing, so much to choose from the coffee was excellent! The presentation of the foods at the alacart restaurants were great! Overall a great fun resort!

Legends Beach Resort: Roach motel

This hotel is the worst hotel in negril , there is 2 properties under the name so if you choose garden view it will be across the busy street with no security or cross walk . There is no garden to view it’s only bushes and bugs. Upon check in our room had no light in the hallway to see I was using phone flash and every room in the hall way had a leaking Ac unit infront of the main door. I fell and injured my back and They have no medical on site either to even assist. Upon entering the room we [... read more] saw an infestation of enormous flying cockroaches and mold on the ceiling. I complained to the office staff and they said they can’t do anything and fill out a paper complaint. Terrible service terrible location. After 10 pm there is no staff insight no security no office help no towels, no fridge . Basically a hostel !!!

Legends Beach Resort: WORST TRIP EVER

This hotel is pit from hell. Upon checking in we were sent accorss the street to want is listed at “garden view” but is really just bushes and goats. I was a party of 8 and the rooms were infested with roaches. The hall was wet and all ac units were leaking. There is NOBODY to be found on the grounds after 10 pm so you have to fend for yourself until 8:30 am when the office opens at which point the staff are rude and dismissive. I had to pay to upgrade my room to escape the infestation. I woul [... read more]d never book here again not even for free.

Sandals Negril: Sandals Negril resort

BAD. Will not recommend. I thought I was in Cuba. Terrible front desk services. Hotel management doesn’t take complaints seriously. Wait for 2 hours to get our rooms despite arrived after 2:30 pm. Typical hotel check in time is 3pm. Lack of communications and no reason was given for room availability and late check in . I will not staying at any Sandals resorts again.
