Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing Beach!

This is a large resort, but well laid out. The lobby bar gets VERY busy and unfortunately if you want a drink, be prepared to WAIT. Evening entertainment was in the lobby bar, which made it even busier, no shows that we were aware of in another area. Dining/buffet area could have been set up in a more orderly manner, long wait lines to get to the "section" we wanted, had to wait through people selecting fish dishes/etc before we got to the meat and potato/pasta dishes. Rooms were clean,  [... read more]no issues with water, hydro etc., but although the rooms have a coffee maker, there's no coffee or tea! Bring your own coffee pods if you want coffee in your room. We got bottled water each day and there's 2 orange pops in the fridge, no cerveza or any other pop. The family pool had the BEST french fries and grilled hotdogs of the whole resort! Really hard to find a spot at the beach with shade, lounges were all reserved, even by 7:30 a.m. Fortunately we had two great guys that assisted and got us a spot, so we were able to enjoy the beach 5 days out of the 7. All in all we had a great time, great weather and great Cuban people!

Sanctuary White Sands: Nice stay

Beautiful resort. Food was good for Cuba. Beach was gorgeous! There is a very big problem with beach chairs and shade areas. People save beach chairs very earlier in morning (430am). They may use them or not.....I hope the hotel can correct this problem.

Sanctuary White Sands: Really nice resort

It's Cuba, we were expecting lack of food but was quit good !! Service amazing even with lack of personnal at the restaurants and bars. The butler in building 8 was amazing, she was going really above and beyound all of our requests (5*+++) Amazing beach, endless white sand !! Will be back with friends for sure. Thank you for the 2 beautiful weeks.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A wonderful vacation

This was our second visit to Original Daiquiri and we loved it, the grounds are beautifully kept, the lobby bar, is a great social place to be, the bartenders there are the best and so are the bartenders at the pool bar. All the staff are wonderful, but the one thing we love is the beach, great for long walks. We have no complaints, hopefully we will be back next year.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing resort

The resort very nice and clean, the staff was amazing , lots of good entertainment and drinks the beach was 5star Lots of food no shortages , rooms were clean lots of water pressure and hot water, definitely recommend this resort

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Beautiful Beach and Attentive Staff!

This was my first time in this part of Cuba and it was amazing! The resort is well appointed and has many excellent staff members. We were impressed with the delicious and abundant food and the kitchen staff were creative and generous with the more limited ingredients. Excellent value for the money!

From the time of arrival to departure words can not describe how friendly all the staff are at the resort from yolelbi and Jose and more at the lobby bar to Claudia at the front desk and also Claudia at the pool bar and yanely. Sanctuary White Sands: Nice stay

New resort which has its own pluses and minuses. Rooms are clean, beach is beautiful but the landscape is not fully grown but nice. I was missing the tall palm trees a little. It’s a large resort and requires a good service but unfortunately the staff was young with a little training and very slow. The long lineups were everywhere and they were not very friendly neither, very dismissive a times especially at the snack bar. The young staff there should be trained before allowing to work there…ve [... read more]ry frustrating when we had to wait for a pizza over 1 hr after checking with them a few times and still they missed the order!! Also very often you don’t receive even thank you If you tip them or not due to numer of people and shortages of staff. Also the reservation of the beach chairs was so ridiculous! You had to be at 6-7 am to get your spot otherwise you will have to walk some distance to the entry to the beach…to be honest it was too much stress trying to get comfortable and be on time between the booking the beach and trying to avoid the lineups. More experienced staff would solve a lot of frustration for sure!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Our second home

My wife and I have made this our second home. We just returned from our 11th visit to this resort and we love it. The beach is amazing, as well as the staff. Already looking to book our next vacation! Sure, there are the odd supply chain issues, but if you know that going in you will not be disappointed. Cayo Coco has their own power supply that is not attached to the mainland. There were no power interruptions all week.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Time

Great time at the Gran Muthu Imperial. The maids are great the room was always clean, we had a beautiful view. There was practically no wait at any of the bars to get a drink, Bar tenders, wait staff and all staff in General were very nice. The Animation team was great, always trying to get people involved they were a lot of fun. I was not impressed with the International restaurant, we got better beef at the buffet. The pools were great, the beach was good but not as nice as Varadero or Cayo Santa Maria, there was a lot of rock, you had to go quite a ways down to get to all sand in water, but still beautiful. There was always plenty of lounges. Overall for the resort itself I would recommend.

The accommodations were excellent, featuring comfortable rooms equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great Resort - It's Cuba though

Resort was great, beaches were fantastic and the water is breathtaking. Room was made up pretty good every day but not great. Food is 7/10, good but not exceptional. Resort very clean. Hard to get pool chairs though.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful highly recommended resort.

Clean updated room. Beautifully maintained grounds. Excellent food choices and a la carte restaurants. Amazing friendly, kind and thoughtful staff. Incredible beach. Music through the day and nightly entertainment.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort

Melia Cayo Coco is the best Adult only resort on Cayo Coco. There is nothing I could complain about. The hotel staff go out of their way to accommodate each guest. A problem with hot water in the room was attended to immediately and followed up with a phone call to make sure that we were satisfied.

If you are a lobster lover you can have it at lunch and dinner everyday. In the package were included 50min massage at an amazing Eden SPA. The staff was amazing and always smiling and ready to help. We ask for Spanish lessons and we got it. The surroundings were well maintained and we didn't see any mosquitoes. In the disco at night you can ask for any kind of music and lurn latino dances as well. Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo is a stunning destination that offers breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and genuine hospitality. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this resort to those looking for a serene, picturesque getaway with a private feel.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: No bread

Hotel was really nice and service was great. But having no bread on a trip really sucks. We had bread the first two days and the first day we arrived at 11pm. After lunch on day two there was no more bread and anything good went really fast like yogurt. Getting. Cabana beside the pool required getting up at 5:00am to throw a towel down on one of the and going to the beach to save some spots there as well .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Easy and relaxing

Memories Flaminco beach resort 1. The people are friendly, helpful, and connecting. 2. The food was very good. I enjoyed the variety and they still make fresh fruit smoothies. 3. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great hotel...beach pool and service excellent

Hotel staff go out of there way to help and make sure everything is fine. Rooms are clean and new...beds are great..pillows are one large body pillow which is not ideal... small suggestion to switch them would be helpful when couples are sleeping together and toss turn etc. Food is decent...it's Cuba so limit options but you should know that going in... they had no flower the week we were here so no bread or pizza. Lots of fries and other items to fill picky eaters. I would recommend bug spray  [... read more]as noseeums (spl?) Are bad some of group got eaten alive on legs etc. Great hotel great price would recommend and hopefully small changes could make this a hidden gem!

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Great Getaway for a couple of weeks

The campus was excellent: multiple horizon pools. The flora were amazing: variety +++ and very well manicured. The food varied from adequate to good. Nothing exceptional. Supper entertainment, especially the saxaphonist was welcome. The room was spacious and clean; oceanview was marvelous. Staff didn't appear to be particularly happy or co-operative most of the time except for the gardeners and the room waitress. Language barriers ++. Beach was barely runable due to high waves and crowds from adjoining resorts. Nevertheless, the surrounding roads were accessible and essentially traffic-free.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Mixed Feelings

We spent the March Break at Grand Aston (2 kids, 2 adults). I have mixed feelings about our experience. The resort itself was new, clean, well laid out, and safe. The beach was spectacular and exactly what I had hoped for for Cuba. Then there’s the food and alcohol. The 3 buffets were the same the entire week, and we ran out of bread 4 days in. I followed the Facebook page so I was prepared for shortages and came prepared. We brought ketchup, peanut butter, all the snacks, and yet we still str [... read more]uggled. Alcohol wise, for an all inclusive, I was shocked at the limited variety of booze and mix. Every bar seemed to run out of something (or everything and close) by early afternoon, and then you’d have to walk all the way to the lobby. Mix consisted of fruit juices, orange pop, coke (only sometimes), tonic, and some powders for strawberry daquaries and pina coladas (which they rarely made for us). A lot of people have written about how great the bar tenders and staff are but that wasn’t our experience the entire time. The cleaners, gardeners, lobby bar, salon, beach bar, and activity coordinators were amazing! But the snack bar, pizza, poutine and chicken griller were less than friendly. They were selective with who they gave food to and when (maybe based on higher tips maybe?), often saying they had no food and then 1 minute later they’d give it to someone else, and it was like pulling teeth to get a drink. Then there’s the chairs… I have never been more annoyed in my life. For us, it didn’t matter what time we went to “reserve” a chair, they were all taken. The air Canada rep, the hotel staff, and the sign posted said that people cannot reserve chairs but every single morning we would get to the beach or pool and there was not a single chair left. I had skin cancer and can’t be in the sun, and I have 2 little kids, and there was nowhere to sit ever. We had to pay workers to get chairs a couple days, which is ridiculous, and then eventually we just gave up. Sometimes we would get lucky and someone would leave and we’d find some chairs. Don’t get me wrong, I did my research and I knew what I was getting into. But, for a 5-star brand new resort, I was left feeling kind of “meh” about the whole experience. I definitely would not go back but I am thankful for the memories, the beach, and the staff who were so kind and welcoming.
