Hotel Villa Cuba: Good resort
Hotel was good I stayed in a villa which was very nice and well kept. Housekeeping did a good job. Beds were very comfy and thick and no issue with the air conditioning or water. The beach was very nice and close to my room and the hotel. The pool bar had good drinks and the snack bar he my favourite think French fries every day lol. The entertainment was very good and I always had something to eat at the buffet it is cuba. I meet other awesome Canadians Audet and Jan and Dawn who was a sw [... read more]
Palma Real: Really amazing resort
It was very good eventhough i didn't think to get the info of a friend because i got confused by a personal thing. For next time one thing is sure : i will make sure to enjoy this kind of a lovely trip by myself! For sure!
Palma Real: accepable resort if you have no expectations...
For us it would be quite acceptable were it not for one big , huge nuisance: the "music".... starting at 10:30 p.m. ... bum, bum.... vibrating through the interior , until about 3:30 a.m. ..... plus the same "music" put on in their rooms..... not relaxing. Could not sleep for hours every night because of these vibrations. The second big annoyance is that the beautiful beach is full of garbage! tourists just throw all the ploastic all over.... unbelievable. Of course there is a [... read more]
Palma Real: outdated resort
Mattresses should be all replaced with new ones, we checked only three rooms. Out of 14 days, we had hot water only 9 days... and actually only warm water. This is a nice resort but it's not maintained properly: I recommend that management provide staff with good cleaning products and spray rooms against bugs as the hotel doesn't have window screens. As far as I'm concerned, food is good for a 3 stars hotel: quite a selection of vegetables, meat, fish and great deserts including the best ice [... read more]
Roc Barlovento: Fantastic Resort
Everything about our vacation and resort was awesome. The food, the room, the staff..everything was perfect. We also got engaged which makes it even more magical. Thank you Trip Central and Teresa for everything
Hotel Villa Cuba: Not Happy
To be fair in this review we had one day of good weather the second was a torrential rainstorm and cold weather the rest of our week. 2pm in the afternoon was the only time I could don a bathing suit. The rest of the time I wore pants and the thick sweatshirt I flew down in. Early December is not the time to go to Cuba. Now the resort : We have been to Cuba 6 times and have always loved it but this was the worst. Food was terrible, bread dried out hot food chef was young inexperienced [... read more]
Roc Barlovento: Really something, nice resort
Everything was almost perfect, friendly staff and managers where ever You are on the resort. The location is great, close to markets and small stores and bars. Good value for price compare to other resorts.
Roc Barlovento: Roc Barlovento November 2017
This was my second visit to this hotel and will definitely return. The grounds are always clean and the food is good. The Mexican restaurant is very good has for the Fusion Restaurant average. The breakfast buffet is very good bacon every morning that’s a plus, dinner buffet is average . The staff are amazing always smiling and saying hola too you. The beach is very nice and clean. The rooms and bathroom could be renovated but we are only there to sleep. Special thanks to Miguel and Jos [... read more]
Palma Real: Must see once
Good for the price. Easy access to town. Food good but cold. Building 1 has been renovated. Not enough chairs at the beech. Lobby bar could be cleaner. This was our third visit. They are in the process of changing the elevator in building 4. The Hotel will be under new management Dec 15/2017
Club Kawama: Never again
Kawama Hotel in Cuba needs a huge face lift. The experience is like going to camp. The Cuban people are amazing and all of the staff were very friendly and kind. The food at the resort was very poor. We both came home with very upset stomachs which are still struggling to get back on side. The rooms are very old and dated. We often questioned the cleanliness of the rooms. Last year at the same resort we had no hot water, this year we were lucky as we had tons of hot water. Toilet paper is sparse [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: hotel pelicano
have been at this resort several times. beach was great. lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas and thatched covers. could have been better buffet selection; salads, meats. service good. no french fries anywhere on the island. because of hurricanes and problems in veneswala could be issues in future.
Club Kawama: Another wonderful vacation at Kawama!!!!
It's always a pleasure to arrive back at Kawama. We've been coming here since 2000 and have almost always had a wonderful time. Landing in Hurricane Sandy put a slight damper on our first couple of days back in 2012, but even then, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Special kudos go out to Leida for always trying so hard to accommodate everyone's room preferences and ensuring that everyone is comfortable. Leida is always open to suggestions and does her best to address any concerns from the [... read more]
Club Kawama: 15th Time!
While this resort isn't for everyone we continue to return here for the amazing beach, the friendly staff and the location. This is one of the oldest hotels in Varadero so many things are often not working or need repair but it still has a unique charm. It has so much history. It's worth booking a superior room and staying here means you are closer to the old downtown and closer to visit the surrounding villages and towns.
Starfish Cayo Largo: Sol Pelicano, Cayo Largo, Amazing Resort, Best one we have gone to in Cuba
A group of six of us just returned from a vacation at the Pelicano Cayo Largo. We have gone to several resorts in the past 10 years in Cuba but I must say that this one was the best so far and we are already booked to go back in February 2018. The grounds are clean, rooms are well maintained and maid service is excellent. We had minor problem with a slow draining shower and by the time we walked from the front desk to our room the maintenance person was there to take care of the problem imme [... read more]
Club Kawama: Home away from hime
Again it was an amazing stay. Even tho Irma has hit they managed to reopen very fast for us repeaters. Of course lots have been damaged but everything is working and under repaira. The only downfall was the lack of food and alcohol. There was only 1 bottle of certain king for the day or until the order comes I. Not very pleasant. But the staff, the beach and temperature was at its best!!
Club Kawama: Lovely time
This is my seventh time to Kawama and while it does have some imperfections, it is home away from home. I have made many friends there who are now like family. I would recommend to anyone with an open mind who wants a good time great beach and location. The only minor complaint would be the drinks and that they often run out quickly of things
Palma Real: Resort has its UP & Downs Its a 3 star resort you get your moneys worth
IVE been to palma real many times let me start by saying the workers on this resort are fantastic people they always treat us very good, from the gardners the bartenders the waitresses in the restaurant right up to the manager of the resort, they have made some changes since my last visit, the lobby bar is no longer 24hrs so you cant get a coffee until 7.00am in the morning so if your a early riser like me its not good, the swim up bar was under renovations the whole time we were there so that pool [... read more]
Roc Barlovento: Nice Resort
Rooms were dated but were clean and the bed was comfortable. Public areas were clean, lots of trees and grass. Ala carte restaurants were tasty and the buffet restaurant had cooking stations with a good selection of fresh food made in front of you Staff were friendly and helpful. Being adult only the age spread was from young adults to seniors. roaming cats and dogs made this resort unique. Great location downtown, walking is safe in town and you can walk the beach forever.
Palma Real: Not that great!!
The hotel went down hill even from 3mths ago when I was there. The pool with the pool bar was closed for renos which is understandable, but the other pool was so filthy I could feel slim on my feet when they touched the bottom. I get the Cuba resort food as not my first time, and I can find basics and just go eat out sometimes as Im not picky, but this was an all time low of disgusting...bordering dangerous. Basically like slop...everything mixed together with what looked like food from the week [... read more]
Hotel Villa Cuba: Be live Experience Varadero
I think this is a hotel where you really get value for your dollar. The room (in the hotel) was great, clean and a wonderful view from the balcony. The food was good. The pool was great and the ocean in walking distance. The beach was clean. The staff was great and helpful. The resort was clean. That is why it was the 4th time I have been to this hotel.
