Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing resort will be back again !!!

Family vacation 13 of us and we had a great time ! Food was great very clean friendly staff and extremely accommodating getting us tables to fit such a big group ! Beach was so beautiful. Every morning our waiter would have our table ready to eat breakfast. We are very pleased with this resort and will be back again! Thank you Tammy for recommending this beautiful resort!!!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Resort

Second time at Oceans Coral and Turquesa in last year and a half and not a member of the H10 club. A very well maintained property. Easy to get around. Awesome service from the buffet to the individual restaurants.

Ocean Blue and Sand: It was" just" okay

The good: The rooms were clean was the resort. The pool was huge and beautiful. The entertainment was good. The food was very good and there was a large selection of foods to choose from the buffet. The bad: The room coffee maker just worked, spewing brew everywhere. No coffee provided for the mornings. The alcoholic drinks are watered down and anything slushy tasted like cardboard. The vendors on the beach and in the resort itself were agressive. No matter where one walked, someone was att [... read more]empting to take up your time to sell you an excursion or alike. The staff was generally unfriendly, regardless if a tip was left or not.

Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing resort

Gorgeous, clean and spacious hotels. Ample amount of options for daytime and evening activities & amenities. Food was phenomenal. Pool great. Only thing the beach was very rocky and had large amt algae.

Ocean El Faro: Nice resort

This resort is beautiful and clean. Room was amazing with large bathroom, kingsize bed & sitting area with sofa, chair, coffee table & desk. No room clock or facecloths. The food was OK. Getting reservations for the a la carte restaurants was a nightmare! The H10 app wasn't working so had to line up at 7:15 a.m. (along with dozens of other guests) to make same day reservations! No welcome drink or cool cloth upon arrival & only one reception desk employee to check in our busload. Had to beg a be [... read more]llboy to take us to our room. First time at this resort & it was midnight! He dropped us off in front of the building & just pointed us to the building. Hubby's wristband/room door access didn't work. Had to get a card for him. No email sent to us to advise of the transfer pick up time for departure. Didn't see a Sunwing/Nexus rep the entire time we were there. Due to these many small details and the shier size of the resort we would not be returning to this hotel.

Ocean El Faro: Nice resort, but

The resort is very nice with lots of entertainment. We really liked the silent disco event in the main lobby. Bowling was fun and pool activities were good. The lazy river was fun. BUT booking restaurants was a pain. You have to get up at 6:30 to be in line before 7 then wait in line TIL 8 to make a reservation and if you are not in the first ten to twenty good luck getting a time before 9pm. It appears the privilege and El Beso adults only sections get to book ahead of the normal guests, even f [... read more]or the restaurants that are listed as no reservations required. It kinda makes you feel second class. The resort is big. Some rooms are a 15 minute walk to the lobby. Food in the restaurants was pretty good but the buffet was hit or miss. Pools were good, The beach had weeds and is rough.

Ocean El Faro: Big improvement from our stay in 2020

First time we stayed at Ocean El Faro was Jan 2020 and noted several concerns in a review. Well we just got back from resort last night after a week with other family members.. I can say they really have made considerable improvements.. Had a swim out room family side again and noticed daily attention to cleaning pool vs no cleaning before. (there was dust clouds when you walked in pool 2020), Main common pool had lots of chairs and many umbrellas , walk around bar service. Beach set up with lo [... read more]ts of chairs and thatched palapas. For softer sand to vs some stoney area, the unused property to the left is better. This is an example of attitude and attention given by most of the staff we encountered this trip. There was a difference in service levels between Family side and Adult side of the main Buffet and the family side staff were quick to serve coffee and refills etc and were very friendly, not so much on adult side. It seemed the quality of food in the buffet was a bit low this trip...maybe grocery store inflation ? All the other restaurants, bars etc were very good to excellent. Food as described on menu was delivered cooked just right, in timely manner, drinks provided and quick for refills. Staff very friendly.. we see they seem to enjoy their job. Room was cleaned daily bed change mid week, asked for extra towels first day and they kept that up daily. (however my daughter had to ask several time) Good friendly service fairly consistent all around the resort. HIGH Score for Steak and Italian and Sekura. I may be remembering wrong but, there was a beach side restaurant we used on first visit but all three near the beach are restricted to El Besso or Privileged. We inquired at all 3 and told no for us. Only beach area food is BBQ Burgers and Hot dogs for lunch (precooked and siting around) Ocean Blue and Sand opens their Villa Marina for lunch for everyone (stayed there last year) Fairly consistent shuttle from lighthouse to lobby and stops anywhere in between with a double cart. Really like the new wrist band / key card. Happy to recommend Ocean El Faro to anyone who asks.

Ocean Maya Royale: Great low key resort

This was a great resort. The activities team made sure there was always something to do, but there was also a very chill vibe if that's how you wanted to spend your time. Great food and nice staff. Also a good location - not too far from the airport or Playa del Carmen. Not a flashy place, but clean and comfortable rooms.

Ocean El Faro: Great resort!

For a new hotel it’s definitely showing wear already, mostly from poor design. For example, the width of the shower door didn’t account for the depth of the tiles so tiles have been omitted and water is just soaking into the edge creating mold and wear. Whoever thought designing a sink with joints in the sink that need caulk should be fired from designing. Water leaks when sink is filled. The look of the hotel is gorgeous. It has a very midcentury modern design. The waterpark is located in a [... read more] great central location unlike other resorts. Staff were all awesome. Food was great. You could always find something. Never got a reservation at the al la carte’s that required one. App never worked & didn’t want to line up at 7am to reserve outside the buffet. Coffee shop never had anything more than black coffee and smoothies. Only had mint for mojitos the last half of our trip. Route 66 was disappointing-nothing like a typical diner menu. Vacation Club (white shirts upon arrival) were always hounding people. Beach was nice but the lagoon to the west was even better for swimming.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Wonderful Time at a Wonderful Resort

My travel partner had been here before, recommended it, and consented to return. It was just as she said, beautiful, unique, great food, lovely clean beach, friendly staff, totally satisfying accommodations and well secured. I saw lawn/garden maintenance at its best, paint being updated and bathroom accessories being upgraded. Our maid was consistently taking care of our room, separate staff keeping our fridge stocked and bar/buffet/restaurant staff and servers were quick and efficient an [... read more]d so friendly and appeared to love their role of making everyone happy. Entertainment was very good. Of most importance this week I experienced first hand asking for assistance for medical reasons and the response was amazing, efficient and extremely prompt. Five staff in 3 minutes. Their kindness and concern was so appreciated.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Experience- 2nd time visit

This is our second time at this resort and we really enjoyed our stay. We were travelling with two kids under 10 and they had a blast. The activities for the kids were plentiful during the daytime and in the evening. The resort staff were friendly and always willing to help. Food was good. The grounds are well maintained and the pools and grounds are constantly being updated and cleaned. Overall a beautiful resort with plenty to do. The downsides are the beach, although it was clean the entry in [... read more]to the ocean is super rocky and you need water shoes to go in. Also, the water levels of the ocean have grown so the beach is much smaller and lined with sand bags. The rooms themselves are good but definitely need a little TLC.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Vacation

Oceans Riviera Paradise is a great hotel. The grounds are very very clean. The restaurants were great as well. My favourite was the buffet, so many great selections for everyone. My favourite was the shrimp sushi. So yummy!! The beach is very washed away so that was disappointing but no fault of the hotel. The adults only pool was great and the entertainment crew always working so hard to please everyone. Mike’s coffee shop was so great. Loved the cappuccino frappe.

Good food, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful time,lots of activities, pool was very clean, coffee bar exceptional. Beach was okay, no sargassum.went with friend had an amazing time.

Ocean El Faro: Ok tesort

The hotel was ok lots of room but found that our clothes were always damp feeling, Food was ok wasn’t very hot and not much for kids to eat for lunch or supper!! Pool was nice beach was not nice at all!!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great resort for the price point

Rooms were nice and clean. Good size resort. Buffet was good. Staff was friendly. Fairly quiet. Because of the risk of jellyfish and spiky fish there was a red flag (almost all resorts). No ocean swim

Ocean Coral Spring: Don't go! Not as advertised.

Our family of 3 (parents and 1.5 year old toddler) booked this hotel with high expectations and at the recommendation of friends who visited 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, this hotel has many issues they need to work through and seemingly has gone downhill in recent months. The resort is new (opened in 2019), but when you visit it looks like this hotel is 20 years old (apart from the lobby) and has lacked maintenance. It's shocking. Apart from the lazy river which is great, and some select [... read more] nice employees, a great massage therapist - the good ends there. Details below: 1) Service is lacking, no sense of urgency or customer service for an advertised 5* resort. This includes bar/restaurant service, room service, towel service, front desk service 2) Rooms are not maintained well. Lot's of issues with plumbing/shower leak/tiles, etc. 3) Elevators in the buildings are tiny and in disrepair! Not only are the elevators tiny and barely fit a stroller, but they only have 1 elevator for each section of the building. 4) We booked a room with a rooftop patio and hot-tub. Hot-tub does not work. Was told by a maintenance guy that all the rooftop hot-tubs broke within a short period of hotel being opened. Instead of fixing them properly, they bypassed and "jerry-rigged" the hot tubs so that you need to call maintenance if you want to use them. They come in and turn on a valve from under the tub and it fills up through the drain! Then hot water comes in as they ran the supply lines the drain and then you have to call them back a 2nd time to turn off the valve. The water then get's cold as it's just water sitting in a tub (not constant hot water coming through the jets). Finally when you are done with your cold hot tub, you need to call them back again to empty the tub. This is absolutely ridiculous to advertise that you have working hot-tubs with this being the standard operating procedure. Word to management, either fix the hot-tubs or remove them from the rooftop and reduce your pricing on the rooms! Falsely advertising working hot-tubs is not doing you any favours and more importantly it's ripping off your clients. Not to mention they are unsafe with how they are wired in a with a switch that is not grounded. 5) Lack of towels at the resort is an issue. Multiple times you go to get a towel only to be told they are out 6) Often out of beer at the bars or the beer is not cold. 7) Mini fridges in room are not cold and do not keep the beer or drinks cold. 8) Food at the restaurants is not great. The main buffet is good (Martha's Market) but beyond this, they have work to do. Service is slow, and often you cannot get a table unless you show up right when they open. 9) Choice of tile around the pool decks was a poor choice. A lot of them have broken and it's very slippery for children and older adults. I saw multiple children slip and 2 children inuure themselves slipping around the kids pool and waterpark 10) Beach is quite rocky (large jagged rocks that are in the ocean but you cannot see them until you step on them). Some nicer parts, but not great. Certainly much better beaches at other resorts are available

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Good time even with Rainy weather

So we arrived at 1130 pm, air transst did great job making sure our whole bus included all us to hotel, I had asked for ground or 1st level ,their English needed a little polishing, finally they mentioned was an elevator and got 3rd floor Jr suite. Looked great and had personal items in bathroom supplied appreciated The main lobby had multi level past bar area which could use some markings where the ceramic tiles are all same colour..00 it drops plus 12 inches ,my hubby luckily lande [... read more]d on his feet when he walked off level. Night entertainment was fine fire wand show Abba tribute and bingo /casino which was only for the French population,karaoke... Restaurants where well supplied with food choices Alot of rain and water on outdoor hallways big slip fall risk - staff tried to keep up but should have had a wet vacuum, All week had to watch not to fall around water from 3 rainy days, Reservations for a la cart were very tricky to manage, air transat rep didn't help with any of that HAD to use the hotel app and air transatapp which .y phone had no room to add another app to.. Finally I got 3 booked Beach was good once they cleaned it from the 3 previous days of rain Pools were great, drinks were very good not consist between indoor lobby bar and pool bar tho LAST MORNING AFTER RAIN STORM MOST oF NIGHT we had 1/2 room with water lying on floor I slipped and fell and hit my head I went to lobby and told them I wasn't impressed but they probably didn't understand told them I hit my head and asked 2 different people for an ice pack but they looked baffled... our ride to airport was going in 15 min Anyways went home to nurse the lump for 5 dsys Air transat - good for plane , but on way home should have handed out declare card 1/2 hour before landing poor decision as we were disembarking to give then Could have been more helpful at hotel no meeting and the timeshare people in lobby had to tell us where to find them Price was good for one week but was surprised how they didn't make their presence known once arrived Happy with trip central booking assistance thank you Wendy. Sorry fir the rant but most people have to watch their physical self to carry on after the holiday and being a nurse just me.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Awesome Resort

Oceans is a fantastic resort. The rooms are well appointed, the grounds are immaculate, but it’s the people that make it so great. Samantha at Mikes Coffee is so sweet. Maria also at Mikes, Carlos at the burger stand and Buffet as well as Benny the cart driver. Always friendly and smiling. The food at the buffet and at Route 66 we found to be the best. The food at the a la carts is fine but the variety at the Buffett is fantastic. If I had to name an issue it would be the loud music [... read more] at all 3 main pools Eden, El Beso and even the Daisy. Music started in the late morning and went in all day. A little quiet time would be nice. We were at this resort in 2018 and now in 2023. Sadly half of the beach is gone. They have placed sand bags out to try and keep the beach from disappearing, but that’s not the resorts fault. There’s plenty of beach and lounge chairs.

Ocean Coral Spring: Great Resort!

The resort was very clean and the people were very friendly. They have bowling, a small disco, and they also have a small casino (without table games). It would be nice to have more 'a la carte' options for diverse dining, but otherwise the food was good. It would also be better if there was more entertainment outdoors as that would bring more people together and create a more lively experience.

Ocean El Faro: Avoid Ocean el Faro

The service at this resort was terrible…. Rooms were barely cleaned… Mini bar and coffee not stocked… When requesting more beer in the mini bar (only allotted 2 per day) told I had to pay for it some all inclusive that is… I was walked in on in my room twice after the mini bar was stocked and the room cleaned so not necessary for anyone to be entering my room. Bar service was very slow everywhere and orders forgotten numerous times.
