Staff very good to work with , grounds were great and well kept, beach not so great many sea weeds but they tried to control great food long distance from airport very good time would recommend VIP pack

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excelente! Loved the Bahia Principe Bouganville

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Bouganville from April 14 to 21, 2018. We were thoroughly impressed with this resort. We stayed at a Barcelo resort last winter in Punta Cana and had somewhat of a bad experience. We will be looking to vacation at a Bahia Principe resort from now on! The service was overall excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services did an excellent job. The animation team works hard to engage the guests and create a fun atmosphere all around. There is n [... read more]o shortage of activities by the pool and entertainment. There are also two other more quiet pools if you prefer quiet time. Every night there is a different show i.e. grammy music show, michael jackson, acrobatics, fire show, beach party etc. That we thought were very well done as well as live music in the lobby and dancing. The food is excellent; there is something for everyone at the buffet. The Don Pablo restaurant is excellent. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and imacculatley kept. There is a golf course on the ocean, tennis courts and cruiser style bicycles that you can take out for a bike ride within the Bahia gated community which is quite large. It's hard to find a negative thing to say really but my only disclaimer would be that if you are more keen on spending your time at the beach jumping in the waves in the ocean then this resort likely isn't for you. That being said, the beach is still beautiful and you can walk quite a ways up and down either side. The Punta Cana beach is much nicer and larger but the positive thing about the beach at Bougainville is that the water is calm which is nice for children and as guests at the Bahia, you have use of kayaks that you can take out in the bay. Also there is nobody coming around to sell you stuff incessantly which makes the beach a very relaxing spot to be. There are tons of palm trees and palapas and places to sit in sun or shade. The entertainment ends at 11:00 p.m. at which time you can go to the disco but the dj plays mostly salsa & Bachata style dominican music which I do enjoy but not everyone does. One suggestion I do have would be to have a theme night or even an hour one night from 11-12 midnight in the disco to play different kinds of music such as American top 40 or hip hop or something like that which might get more people going to the disco. I noticed that a lot of people go to the disco but don't stay long. We can't wait to go to another Bahia Principe resort!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Very nice resort!!

Rooms are large and very clean, grounds are immaculate, very clean, large beach with plenty of palm trees, chairs and huts. The water is murky due to a river which flows into the bay but warm with a few rocks so step lightly when getting in. Food was good to very good. Hit and miss with warm or hot food. Good selection. A la cartes were very good. The service in the buffet was hit and miss. The wait staff serve, clean and set tables so they may be busy doing other chores rather than ser [... read more]ve drinks, water etc.... Royal Golden staff were exceptional. Had few issues with the room and when reported the problems were fixed immediately with follow up calls from the front desk.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Breath taking resort

This resort was absolutely gorgeous!!! Everything about it was amazing. From the meticulously kept grounds to the lovely rooms, to the crystal clear pools to the scrumptious food it was a perfect vacation. The people were so friendly and very helpful. The only thing I can complain about is the trip was not long enough. When you think about it you spend 2 days travelling and only 5 days enjoying your vacation. next time I will go for 10 days.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Good Resort!

Be Live Hotel was beautiful. The grounds were lush and well taken care of. Our room was standard so pretty basic. But we didn't come for the room. A few minor issues with the aircon which was dissapointing. The pool was fabulous and the beach was amazing! Food was good and the people were very friendly. The nightly shows were great; especially the Michael Jackson show. The dancers were so good and have a lot of talent. The one thing I didn't love was the pressure to buy stuff from the v [... read more]endors they allow on site. While they were friendly I just didn't enjoy the constant pressure. Overall though this hotel was pretty good.....we relaxed and enjoyed our family vacation to the max!

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Great Resort!

Lovely little hotel with great pools and beach. We upgraded to preferred status and had a room with a private pool. Pool was nice but mostly in the shade. As preferred, we also had access to a special section of beach with nice shade huts. An added bonus was no saving of chairs until after 9 a.m. As a preferred guest we were able to enjoy a smaller breakfast and lunch buffet which was quite nice. Great place for rest and relaxation!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Our best vacation yet!

We fell in love with this resort immediately. We enjoyed the service, speed & ease of check in. Our stunning room was a perfect size and well laid out. The resort is the perfect size. A great variety of restaurants and spaces to relax and enjoy. Absolutely impeccable grounds. This resort's claim to fame however is absolutely their staff. Luis, Carlos, Cesar, Emily especially went out of their way to make us feel like family.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Hidden Gem

Several of us went to GB Bougainville and had a wonderful stay. The resort was spotless, lots of chairs in all areas and a great beach. The water is not the clear “see to the bottom “as other areas in the Dominican but staff were raking and removing any stones or seaweed that washed up overnight. Staff kept the beach clean and came around taking drink orders throughout the day. The two pools are large and there is a smaller whirlpool pool in a quiet area also. One pool has the activities [... read more] and the other one is the quiet pool but both have a swim up bar. The 4 specialty restaurants we went to were amazing. Our rooms were very large and bathrooms were beautiful. Never an issue with hot water. Bar fridge was always replenished and the beds turned down while we were out to dinner with chocolates on your pillow. Just don’t go out on the balcony and close the door as there isn’t a door handle to reopen it. Three off our group got locked out in the balcony which was upsetting. The grounds were stunning. There were a number of little shops to buy souvenirs and a small casino with 10 or so machines. The shows at night were your usual resort type. The main lobby had music and dancing each night with staff dancing with the guests. All the staff were very friendly. We all enjoyed the resort and all the little extras they did for you. The tray with ice tea and cup of peanuts and the fruit skewers offered each day at the pools made you feel a little pampered. We all felt we would like to go back.

Viva Dominicus Palace by Wyndham: Hassled

The resort was ok. More like a 3 out of 5. The food was better in the non VIP section but not that great. Everyday we were harassed every single day to attend information to buy into the hotel's direct purchase program---constantly harassed. While in the pool, ocean, eating---eveverywhere. I would not recommend. Not recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excellent Resort !!

We have travelled extensively in the Caribbean + this resort has to be among the Best. From our initial greeting in the Main Lobby, to our check out,everything was top-notch. Food was fantastic..never needed to go to a la carte restaurants as buffet was terrific. Cleanliness from hotel rooms to gardens,to pool,beach areas A+. Staff very courteous,tried their best to speak English(if they didn’t speak it). Went out of their way,to please!! Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Awesome resort

The grounds are impeccable there is always someone cleaning, trimming,fixing and so on. The staff for the most part are professional and very friendly. The food is good and plenty of choices even for the fussy eater.The A La Cartes were excellent with superior attention to detail. The bars had premium drinks that was included in our package. Lol The rooms are very comfortable,clean and in good condition. The service in the buffet area was slow to non existent we often left without being asked if we would like water,juice or coffee we only ate there at breakfast. We had lunch at the ocean buffet the service there was much better. The only real drawback was that the water in the ocean was not of Carribean quality. We were in a bay with a river dumping into it which caused silt to be stirred up therefore the water was murky but we still used the ocean daily. Overall this is definitely a 4 star resort and would recommend it to anyone but I would disclose the fact of the clarity of the ocean.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Pleasantly surprised!!

Went to this resort because we were meeting others there. Heard the beach wasn’t as nice as Punta Cana so a little concerned. No reason to be! The resort was clean, food was good and service was great. While the beach wasn’t the turquoise waves, it was in a quiet cove where we hung out in the water all day. Being Canadian, we don’t worry too much about the color. It was more like a lake - very peaceful and warm.

Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are very spacious and up to date. Food was great especially in the Asian restaurant. There are lots of loungers around the pools and beach. Only problem we found was service. It was very slow in the lobby bar and nonexistent at the pool. If you wanted a drink you had to get it yourself

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing, fun, clean resort!

The hotel was beautiful-the rooms were so clean-the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The entertainment was so much fun...BEBA was a blast and I so enjoyed her! Our butler Edy was wonderful! The wait staff were all so friendly and so HAPPY! I loved that .The food was so good...even the buffets were more like a la carts. The only complaint would be that they need to get better organized when you arrive. We didn't know where we were going or what to do so that was a bit confusing. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing Resort

One week of bliss is an understatement. The resort was beautiful, the grounds were kept impeccable by the gardeners. Edy our butler spoiled us rotten. The food was amazing. The staff was tentative and friendly that became extended family by the end of the week. Beba, Cappuccino, Cholate and Julianna were just a few staff memebers that went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I would definitely recommend this resort as a perfect getaway.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Another awesome stay at Bahia Principe Bouganville

This was our second stay at Bouganville. This time as a group of 10. We were well taken care of by all of the staff at all times. The resort is very clean and quiet. The animation team made time at the pool fun, and there was a quiet pool if that's what you are looking for. All the restaurants were very good. Bars were good and well run. The entertainment was good in the lobby and once again the animation team made sure it was fun. The hallways were always quiet and the maids were quiet in the morning which we also appreciated. The butler service was very good also. A nice quiet, yet fun relaxing stay in an Adult only environment. Highly recommend this resort. Trip Central was great to deal with and made sure all of our needs were taken care of also

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excellent choice

Very good price to quality ratio. The resort was quiet, well kept and the food selection adequate. No need to get up at 5am to find a chair and a good spot. However, many hotel guests were reserving prime spots for the whole day , yet only using it very sporadically. This is very frustrating. There is plenty of safe roads around the site to do some decent running. The bicycles should be replaced, they are very old. lddj

Viva Dominicus Palace by Wyndham: Great vacation

The hotel has a lot to offer. Awesome beach area. Ocean view room that we upgraded to needed an update badly as opposed to 4 years being at the same resort, but a garden view room. Buffet appeared to has less variety, but the food was great

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very Nice Resort

The Luxury Bahia Principe Bougainville in La Romana is a very nice hotel. Everything is is perfect reach. From the quiet pool to the beach to the activities pool to the main lobby. Even walking over to the sister resort for the nightly shows and other restaurants is very painless. I would recommend this resort to others for sure. Keeping in mind you are not getting the clear blue ocean with this resort. It’s more like going to a local beach because of the Chevron river that runs near by and se [... read more]eps in to the ocean. The water is still swimable just not clear. The food was great. The restaurants say they are a la carte but you still do your appetizer and dessert as a buffet. But overall everything is lovely.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very Beautiful!

My wife and I just returned from a week at this resort on April 1st 2018. We have stayed at the Bahia Prinicipe La Romana next door twice in the past. The Bouganville Luxury resort is overall more beautiful than the .La Romana side, but what really stuck out was the quality and the variety of the food at the buffet. I had come to the conclusion that the food in these resorts was merely passable. You could always find something to eat, but nothing to rave about. Well, was I wrong. The food at the [... read more] buffets on the luxury side is much better. The rooms were nicer and larger with better amenities in them. Loungers on the beach and at the pools were more comfortable and being able to get international brands of alcohol was a nice bonus.vacationers reserving prime spots by the pool or on the beach at 6am with towels is still an issue, but it seems that this is a problem at all these resorts even though signs are posted that it is prohibited. Night life on the luxury side was disappointing so we went over to the lobby bar on the La Romana side for that. All in all a wonderful time at this resort.
