The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Great time

Resort was very clean and staff works very hard to please. They have three very good restaurants to have dinner as well as the main dinning room. The beach is okay but you get lots of Ocean views everywhere you go.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing Resort-for Adults

We were here October 20-272018. The resort is amazing. Very romantic and a place to relax and recharge. Anthony (Butler) and Fernando (Restaurant manager) provided standout service. We were in the main building and I would recommend being in the main building. Everything is within a 15 minute walk. One thing I did not like is the fact that they have opened the resort to families. Having children run back and forth from the parents table to a games room at the end of the dining roo [... read more]m was annoying. Not to mention when they started running around with the serving tongs. At the pool, (not the beach pool), when the buffet was moved the kids went for a swim. The lifeguard had to keep after them for not following safety rules. They splashed us while we were relaxing in the pool. If you open a resort to families, there should be a designated adult pool. As for the beach, definitely recommend water shoes. Little rocky when getting in. Other than that, I would return to this resort. This is the second Bahia resort I’ve been to and I really enjoy this line.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing resort

Great island. Great beach area. Friendly and helpful staff. Resort is very clean. Well maintained. Food was great. Lots of variety and fresh. Good music. Service was great. They went out of their way to make you feel welcomed.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Wonderful resort

Grounds were amazing and well maintained. Food was excellent. Room was large and very clean. Amazing ocean view. Stayed in villa 3. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Most of the could communicate in English or would get someone if they could not.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: TRIP CENTRAL ROCKS - AMAZING RESORT

1st we have to say this was our 1st time booking through Trip Central and all of the staff were Phenomenal to deal with. Especially Melissa Alexander. They exceeded our expectations. Always very prompt in answering any questions we had. This was by far the best service we have received from all other travel booking sites/companies we have used in the past. Everything was in close walking distances, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The grounds and facilities were immaculately kept. Food phenomenal, bar staff exceptional and 2 mile long Beach was SPECTACULAR! Combination of Punta Cana soft Sand and Puerto Plata color, water was clear enough to see fish and snorkel everyday and WARM for being Atlantic Ocean 85+*. We also found the "Quiet pool" which most days we had to ourselves with our own bar tender and lifeguard Santos. The entertainment staff really focus on audience participation. Only draw back was a little lacking of things to do or places to go if you are a Night Owl. Very Family Friendly resort. WE WILL BE BACK!! Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Five star all the way!

Staff is really friendly and work hard to please. Food is A+ Beach is wonderful and has plenty of walking shoreline.our room was beautiful and well appointed. Shuttle service is efficient. The Relax Pool is amazing. Bar service and drink variety were great.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Romantic getaway!

We just spent one week in Samana -Cayo Levantado, which is beautiful island resort situated in a very romantic setting, so it is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries etc. Views are absolutely gorgeous.Greenery is beautiful, food is excellent, staff is amazing. They treated us like a royalty. Because island is hilly, they have elevator that takes you down to the beach level. It has two private beaches, one of them being quite windy, so nobody was swimming there. The other beach was calm and w [... read more]e enjoyed swimming in a clear water with no sea weed, which was not the case in Punta Cana. They have lot of natural trees and also palapas on the beach. Pools are beautiful as well, just we are beach people so we stayed at the beach. Island has public beach as well that is just steps away. You need to sign out when you are leaving hotel and they also give you towels, but drinks and chairs at the public beach - you need to pay for. That beach is quite big and locals have access only during the day. We were there off season so hotel was not full and there were no lineups anywhere, no need to get up early and reserve chair at the beach. What we did not like is that it was difficult to get reservations for a la carte restaurants since they did not keep them all open,so we ended up eating at the buffet most of the days. Entert. was OK, very low key, they would have a singer, each evening different one and "animacion" people would come up and ask to dance with us.They apparently had disco on the public beach after enter. in main hotel was finished, but we never went. I would recommend this resort if you want to rest, but if you want "party - party", this is not the place. We were also missing our beach walk, that we had in Punta Cana, where you have hotels, one after the other, and you walk for an hour, here we did not have that.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Decent place for vacation

This resort very positively distinguishes from other resorts of Bahia family. Though it is not categorized as Luxury it provides all the same amenities to the guests (besides alcohol in the rooms) and you always feel yourself welcome in this resort. Transfer from and to airport was well arranged, warm reception and comfortable rooms, great beach and clear water, delicious food, tasty cocktails in the bar. What else is needed for relaxing vacation?

The grounds maintained very well.The rooms are clean and spacious.The food was good for me,but not all restorants was open every day.The front desk was very good to me ,everything I asked they got for me even Soya milk,which was very important for me and I am very grateful to them.Thank You amigos!The people that work in this resort very friendly and helpful. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Love this place - even better 2nd time around!

The grounds are beautiful - rooms modern and clean - beach beautiful. Food is quite good - you can always find something delicious. We have gone two years in a row and it is HUMID. Expect to sweat. Love that there is no towel card, and you can always exchange for a fresh one. The vibe rooms are worth it.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing getaway !

From the moment you arrive at the top of the hill where the resort is located you are greeted with an amazing view of the downtown area and the beaches! The Hotel is filled with friendly staff and they make you feel like family. The dinner choices are amazing. To get to the beach there is an elevator that takes you down to this beautiful paradise. Its a small beach area but it makes it feel private. I can't wait to go back for a relaxing getaway

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice Surprise

We had been to this resort six years ago, and we’re happy with our stay then. However upon returning we were pleased with the changes and updates to the resort. Beach remains beautiful nice to walk, food was very good, property well maintained. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Fantastic Resort!

The food was good but I wouldn’t say it was outstanding. The cleanliness of the resort and the outgoing/friendliness of the staff and having lots of activities to do made up for the food. We certainly got our exercise at this resort! Lots of stairs and pathways to walk everywhere! Would recommend asking for a main hotel room if you can’t do stairs... 8/10

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Awesome resort

This was our second time staying at the Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo in Samana. We had an amazing time once again. We love this resort because it is on the smaller side which makes it easier to get around. We also love that El Portillo is located right on the beach so there is no need to take a shuttle back and forth to the beach. The beach is simply spectacular! The water is fantastic for swimming and snorkelling. We brought our own snorkelling gear and saw lots of beautiful tropical fish o [... read more]n our own without having to book an excursion. There are only 2 swimming pools. The large pool located right on the beach hosts daily activities. We enjoyed going for a swim in the small pool located away from all of the action. It has a bar where you can get a drink and is a nice quiet place to chill out after a busy day at the beach. The A la Carte restaurants were excellent. Our favourite was Portofino (Italian). The buffets offered a wide variety of choices for breakfast lunch and dinner. We particularly enjoyed eating lunch at Las Olas buffet while taking in the gorgeous views of the beach just steps away! The service in all areas of the resort was outstanding! We will definitely be returning to Bahia Principe El Portillo in the future!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfect Getaway

This resort is the perfect place if you want/need to completely relax! It’s cliff location produces the calming sound of waves crashing no matter where you are. Sitting on your balcony or on one of the terraces provides the perfect place to relax and unwind. The food and service were excellent. The beach is lovely with plenty of chairs and shade options

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Relaxing

Recent visit to this resort with my family enjoyed our time. Overall beach is beautiful always had a chair. Swimming in ocean and palm trees building a sand castle great time for my family. Food was ok my youngest is picky so bit of a challenge...but overall ok..hotel clean room cleaned daily fridge restocked daily...be sure to upgrade to select it does make a difference main pool very busy good to access other pools....

Cayo Levantado Resort: Incredible time at the Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado

We were there at the end of June... off season for us Canadians, but lots of international guests, which was lovely to come across and meet. This was truly a luxury resort. The smiles by all the staff were genuine. They seemed to anticipate our needs even before we did. For example, we were out for the day on an excursion to the El Limon Waterfall and we ran into our butler when we got off the ferry on the mainland and told her what we were up to. When we returned from our excursion, there  [... read more]was a Jacuzzi tub filled with bubbles and rose petals awaiting our horseback riding bodies... we did not request this, but were so grateful to have it there to receive us. The grounds are immaculate, and there is an abundance of nature to see everywhere. Whatever your need, someone was there to meet or fulfill it. And it was always their "pleasure" to do so. The nightly entertainment was not incredible (but I will say they tried their best-- and these folks were the same activity people all day on the beach that put on the performances, talk about stamina!!!), but we weren't there for that, and would stroll to the beach for a night-time sound therapy session with the waves. Be sure to ask for Martin's Special drink if he is at the Beach Bar! So delicious and made everyone smile. I would go back, the beach was lovely, the grounds big enough to walk substantially throughout if you chose to not take the trolleys, the gym was lovely, the food incredible everywhere we went... although we do recommend you order from the wine list if you are at the a la cartes. Happy to have went and would love to go back again for sure. NB

Cayo Levantado Resort: Overrated

Under the expectation compared with other cheaper Luxury Bahia Principe! I did not expect the Superior room to be in an attic! We finally paid to upgrade the room but lost half a day of beach. Lack of food diversity compared to other Luxury Bahia Principe (beach buffet did not offer steak at lunch).

This is a beautiful place with great views...main pool and beach area fantastic.......rooms average for standard...do not waste your time book only sea view rooms....301 -310.....401 - 410....501 - 510......Food was terrible....same thing day after day.....poor quality of food.....a LA carte restaurants disappointing at best...staff tolerant of English if you speak fluent Spanish you got better service...not air conditioned....only in rooms......we were approached to buy time share...they lost i [... read more]nterest in us quickly when we told them we did not have a credit card.....not interested in going back to cayacoa ..... will try a different resort not affiliated with Bahia Prinicipe.......

Well located, surrounded by hills, clean, large rooms. Very agreable place to relax. Large lounge terrace The pool is clean. Small beach. I recommand ocean front or superior room for a better experience, other rooms might be noisy. Food is ok
