Occidental Cozumel: very good resort

Beautiful resort with amazing landscaping, accommodation was super, my cleaning lady was the best (#1235). Beautiful sandy beach but a lot of litter in spite of garbage bins and ashtrays everywhere ( maybe guests' attitude should change as well). In the morning beach was tidied up but litter was still there. Service - a little slow, front desk always busy, but 2 men who were usually there were trying their best,very friendly and helpful but couldn't keep up with workload. Do not purchase Inter [... read more]net service - it's expensive and doesn't work properly ( some days it worked for 10 minutes only!) Activities - so much to choose from but if some of them didn't start from hotel grounds you have to pay transportation - taxi ( not cheap).Looks like they have "flat fee" wherever you go.Overall I had wonderful time. Nothing is perfect,you cannot please everybody.Restaurants - I used only buffet,it was OK but I would prefer better selection of fish and seafood in general. My recommendation - to hire more people a and to have ice machine in villas. .

Secrets Aura Cozumel: good location

The lobby is small but check in was fast, Hotel grounds needed trimming yet staff on hand was always busy and friendly. With the sister resort next door there was lots of restaurants and all were good.Pools were warm and relaxing with great poolside service from Isabel and Victoria and there secretary.We had the same waiter in two different restaurants and eric went out of his way to make sure all was well.Buffet seamed to be under staffed as sometimes no one to serve pasta or no one behind co [... read more]oking area at all. The food in general was good .Beach is very rough make sure you have watershoes.

Occidental Cozumel: Nice Resort

This a nice small resort. Pools are good the beach is excellent. The alacart restaurants are good. Friendly staff. Poor service at the buffets though. No utensils or napkins on the table while your food gets cold. No offer of water or a drink most of the time. I think it's understaffed. The shows are from 9-10 then you can go to disco if it's open. It is a nice disco.

Occidental Cozumel: Great Week

Got there at night and it was kind of hard to find our room. Room was very nice and roomy with good air conditioning, a very comfy mattress and a large bathroom with separate bath and a big shower with good water pressure. Hotel is small to med sized so never any big lines for anything. Grounds are kept beautiful. Beach is wide and clean and there were lots of lounge chairs available. Pretty good snorkelling right from the beach. Food was above average at the main buffet and the beach buffet [... read more]. The three individual restaurants were nothing special. After 9:30 the only food you can get is at the Pizza bar and quite frankly the Pizza is not good. Ladies at the front desk need to be a little more friendly but the rest of the staff (especially the great bartenders) were very nice and they work very hard whether you tip them or not. Overall a quiet and relaxing vacation at a nice resort.

Allegro Cozumel: Amazing Resort

All is perfect!!! We are impressed of the resort stuff doing just perfect job. The a la carte restraunts are amazing. We suggest Italian and Oriental - delicious food. The beach cannot be better - the best place for snorkeling,diving and just swimming. We will definetely return.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: For a secrets would rate a 3&1/2

Keep valuables locked,Things go missing.long waits for dinner.scenery beautiful.not going back.older resort needs updating.concierge believes they have nothing to do with the people harassing you to go to 1 hr meetings you know what I mean

Occidental Cozumel: Great Beaches and snorkeling

The hotel had a lovely Mexican flair. It was spacious and felt uncrowded even though I think it was completely full. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. The front desk was a bottleneck at times not having enough staff on to satisfy the crowds during peak times. The room was spacious, neat and well kept. Everything worked pretty well. Water was well stocked. External noise was minimal. The food was ok. It was plentiful and cooked well, but It was not gourmet. We ate of [... read more]f the resort a number of times to get really good seafood. In my mind it is the beaches and the snorkeling that really made the hotel stand out to me. The beaches were a lovely sand , there was lots of room and I never had a problem getting a beach chair. The snorkeling right on the beach was great! I didn't spend much time by the pools but they looked well kept and the people seemed very happy. The nighttime shows were intimate and alot of fun. Lots of dancing and different costumes. I liked the layout and the size of the resort. It was big enough without being too big. Everything was within a comfortable walking distance. Overall, a great value for a fun vacation.

Allegro Cozumel: Good Value Resort

The hotel was average. Breakfast probably had the least selection but they had the classics so it's not like you have to go without. Rooms were small, but clean. Amazing beach and service which made the average things okay. Entertainment was good and the island itself had lots to offer. All in all it was a good vacation for the price we paid.

Allegro Cozumel: Great Experience at the Allegro, Cozumel

Hotel is very clean, newly renovated rooms, food is very good, with a wide variety. Beach is amazing. Was a little disappointed that the palappa's/shade shelters were removed from the beach area. Would recommend they put them back. Hard to find much needed shade in +30 weather. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Fabulous Resort

An older Resort, with lovely walkways, beautiful gardens, and extremely clean. Rooms are older, but spotless. Everything worked well in our room. We had a fridge stocked with beer, soft drinks, drinking boxes and bottled water. Bottles water was replenished everyday. The maid did a great job of cleaning the rooms. N [... read more]o reservations needed at the restaurants. We enjoyed all the restaurants especially the seafood grill. Our only disappointment was no espresso machine on the Resort. The coffee was fair. There was a main bar( which was on the beach and close to the pool). Another bar at the end of the beach which was close to our room. Excellent drinks made individually from the blender. White wine was different at each restaurant(I preferred the wine at the Market cafe.) No bracelets or towel cards needed at this resort which was a plus. No problem getting a lounge chair on the beach unless you wanted shade- best to choose one before breakfast. A lovely, long beach, water usually calm and clear however very rocky. Water shoes are a must. Snorkelling was great; beginners could snorkel in the shallow water. A very active beach, lots of snorkellers, kayaks, paddle boards, diving boats,etc. Entertainment was outside close to the pool- had a stage and some nights they had singers and dancers, and a band. Movies for kids. Very kid friendly Resort- a kid's club, soccer games- all the kids seemed to have a good time. Excellent on site diving was available with a special diving pool for scuba divers. We really enjoyed this resort except for the rocky beach. Staff were most helpful and friendly.

Occidental Cozumel: Very nice resort

We had a fantastic week the 4th to the 11th of April at the Occedental Grand Cozumel. Rooms,Gardens Staff were amazing we didn't want for anything we enjoyed it very much we can't say enough about the staff the are all very friendly. I would definitely recommend this resort. Thank you for making our vacation fantastic.

Allegro Cozumel: Allegro Cozumel

The hotel is small and ideal for family as it is easy to get around. Beach is great for snorkelling. Food is average. They need to improve the cleanliness of their pool by closing area early for maintenance.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Nice resort

Resort was nice, room was nice. Snorkelling in front of hotel was very good. Only complaint was the buffet restaurant on site could of had more people doing the specialty meals. Waiting time was a little long.

If you like to dive or snorkel this is the resort for you...many tour boats to help assist ... if this is your first dive or have had many experiences diving in the ocean this is great place to stay. disappointed that there wasn't a coffee bar or even a bar to get a good cup of coffee. The a la carte's offered better and more appetizing meals than the buffet. Was disappointed we had to line up and wait for a table just to have breakfast and lunch.

Allegro Cozumel: Beautiful resort.

We spent a week at the Allegro and we loved it. The staff were nice and the rooms were very clean. It's not a huge resort but there are 3 pools and we never had a problem finding a chair by a pool or on the beach. We went to the Italian restaurant 3 times as the food was awesome. You need to make reservations ahead of time for the al a carte restaurants and sometimes they would say it was booked solid even though the restaurant was half empty at the time you requested. The beach was nice and the snorkelling was awesome. We rented bicycles for the day and the bicycle company dropped them off at our hotel for the time we requested and picked them up at the end of the day. We cycled the whole island and it was a nice way to see the island.

Allegro Cozumel: Gorgeous Resort!

This resort is beautiful. The grounds are kept extremely manicured and clean. The rooms are comfortable, beds are super comfy. It's a quiet resort. Not much nightlife so it's great for that really needed rest and relaxation. Saw allot of divers there. Boats coming and going all day with divers, of course because Cozumel is known for it's diving. It's also a a perfect get away for families with younger kids. They have a fantastic pool for the kids with fun slides (I was tempted to use mysel [... read more]f). The beach has plenty of chairs, never a lack of them and there's always one for you to use unlike other resorts where you have to get up early in the morning and throw your towel on a chair to reserve. Pool areas are the same, there was always a chair to sit at. Food was delicious. The buffet had a wide variety of food but seemed to be the same every day. We used 3 restaurants during our stay. We ate Mexican, Italian and Teppanyaki. All 3 of these restaurants were great, the food was delicious. Front desk employees were very helpful. Everything we needed or requested was taken care of and never with a displeasure. Everyone was always smiling and friendly. Exceptional personnel. We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful resort.

Allegro Cozumel: Mediocre Resort

This resort is fine if your focus is just somewhere to stay if you want to dive or if you have children and are happy to to sit and watch them play in the pool, but as a couple who don't dive and have no children it's not the place to go! The resort is dated and the food is not good. I spent the week trying to be positive and trying to find the good but don't feel like we should have to work so hard to find the positive in a vacation. Breakfast and lunch were bad, dinners were generally ok, b [... read more]ut myself and other members of my group had digestive issues due to greasy food etc Also the buffet area was so hot no breeze and no a/c. There was also a long lineup at the beach bar at any given time. Usually only one bartender on at a time. Tables & chairs in public areas were littered with empty glasses & towels each morning and not cleaned off until about 8 am. No free wifi even in the lobby (ppl who paid for it could not even log on and were so frustrated. If you go to the restaurant across the street however and buy food you can get free wifi) and no English movie stations on tv in the rooms. If you were confined to your room d/ t illness you'd have to watch hours of CNN. The Nexxus ppl were so disorganized with transport and although we were to be at the lobby at 3 pm for pickup the Nexxus guy (Ermillo?) showed up late and still had to make transport vouchers for everyone! We are not ppl who like to complain but this was not a great vacation resort overall, and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone.

Allegro Cozumel: Great resort!

Very nice resort, rooms were clean. Lots to do if you have kids, great pool for kids including huge playground in the pool with slides. Bartenders very friendly, awesome shopping in Cozumel. Love snorkeling or diving this is the resort for you. Oh yes the fridge in room was always full, awesome time. Needed some more entertainment on the resort at night, but all in all great resort.

Occidental Cozumel: Very Relaxing

Rooms are large and really comfortable beds with TONS of pillows. Bathrooms large and beautiful. Grounds gorgeous but no ocean views due to foliage. Lots of wildlife which we found fascinating Food ok but could be 5 star if they improved food choices and lack of staff. The staff who are there work super hard and are very friendly but they are understaffed for sure. This is a very quiet resort which has a separate adult pool which is nice and quiet. Evening entertainment is very simple [... read more] and there is no theatre which didn't bother us at all. We would return for sure.
