Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: A clean lovely resort

A nice friendly clean enjoyable resort . Family friendly with a kids pool , adult pool and swim up bar. The garden view rooms overlooked the pool areas and each had a hamock and own table and chairs. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Riu Palace Baja California: Beauty Resort!

This was our first time ever in Mexico and we are seasoned travellers... what else can I say but AMAZING! Staff, food, rooms, pools, the view...unreal! We will go back for sure. The Riu got this one right for sure!

The resort is brand new. Had some issues with water sound in the ceiling. Called maintence and problem was said to be fixed. I had to follow up with them. They did not call me. Resort does not feel like you are in Mexico. No music anywhere besides at the pool, and not mexican. Entertainment in the evening needs help. Rooms need more privacy. Riu Palace Baja California: Beautiful resort, but still not 100%

Rooms and grounds were extremely appealing. It was very well decorated and very well built and designed. The view and Cabo itself was also beautiful, a must see. However, service was slow or non responsive, nightly shows were boring and repetitive. Singing and dancing. Every night. Was in bed by 9:30pm because of this. Overflowing shower, and very thin walls. You can hear people above you and water pipes very easily. Elevators also have the wrong floor numbers, so it was confusing. Food decent, at best. A la carte's were more disappointing than the buffet. Only some are open at specific times of the week so if you don't arrive at the door 15 minutes before they open you may be looking at a 45 min+ wait time. Also, staff in the A La Carte's was horrible 90% of the time. They did not know what they were doing, never explained the menu's once in the 4 restaurants I dined at during my week, they were extremely rushing and felt like they were trying to get us out of there as quickly as possible so people didn't have to wait. Pool area was gorgeous and well designed. Just enough pools, bars, and spots to eat lunch very close to the pool area. The entertainment during the day was very lack luster. Music playing only at one pool bar, and pool games started late (3pm or so), sometimes none at all. Riu Fun staff wasn't around as much as I'd like. However, I noticed at this adults only it was mainly people 50+ years old. Maybe try the Sante Fe if you are young because you will get bored. Overall, the place was very clean and beautiful to look at, however things do need work starting with staff and service. I can't imagine this place at 100% capacity during these times. It will be a mess.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: January 2018 Rui Palace

Juat got back from a week at the Rui Palace. Resort was super clean and all staff were very friendly and helpfull. Buffet was as good as I have had. I travel 2 - 3 times a year. A la Carte resturants were average. Lunch bbq shack was excellent. Solid 5 star resort

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great resort

Great small resort,friendly staff,amazing beach,good food and entertainment,rooms a little dated,we had a great holiday.overall a great smaller resort with no kids.Staff go above and beyond to make your holiday an enjoyable one.

Riu Palace Baja California: Good times in Cabo

The Riu Baja California only opened in December so we were expecting some "hiccups" but were pleasantly surprised at how well everything was running. The service was excellent and anytime we had any questions or needed anything they were happy to help and responded quickly to our requests. The rooms were beautiful and we loved the infinity pool. We had no complaints with the food at the buffet and all the a la carte restaurants were great. You couldn't make reservations as it was a first co [... read more]me first serve which meant you had to get to the restaurants right when they opened which was a little bit of a downfall. However, we managed to get into all the the restaurants and loved the food and service. Brandon and Carlos were great bartenders at the pool and Carlos (head waiter/manager) at the Sofia was awesome. Also Susanna who was a waitress at the buffet was great. We also did some tours with Cabo Adventures which was booked through our Sunwing agent at the resort and they were all fabulous. All in all we would recommend the Riu Baja California and we would love to go back to Los Cabos.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort

It’s was a great place for family, but I paid for a room with two queen bed but got two twin beds and the resort was full so had to sleep on a twins bed with 4 people another than that it was great and friendly place

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and very helpful. It is convenient to bus transportation. I would give it a nine out of ten. The beds were comfortable, food was good, entertainment well done, It could use another elevator.

We booked this trip last minute with the primary goal of escaping the cold and wet of coastal BC. We were certainly not disappointed. The grounds were easy to navigate and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the partial ocean view that we booked gave us a great view of the grounds and beach. Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: ok for a short stay

Positive side : Extremely clean facility, very nice landscaping, personnel friendly trying hard to please every one. enjoyed the "adult only " pool, the other 2 pools are very noisy. Negative : the food is below average , with the exception of the fish tacos. Menu is monotonous, had to wait one hour to check in because room was not ready, some of front desk personnel needs more training , poor wi fi.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Excellent value resort

Hotel is a low rise complex with a variety of pools to suit all tastes. Excellent for families and children. Rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were happy and smiled all the time. The grounds were dotted with many gardens tastefully planted with desert plants and flowers. The beach is stunning but the currents make unsuitable for swimming.

Royal Solaris: Nice resort

Very nice resort, busy, lots of kids. Good food. Lunch was the best, with the options of pizza, sushi, cevichi or buffet. Service in all areas is awesome! from bars to a la cartes to buffet. We had a few a la cartes, all were good. Brazilian was amazing. We took the city bus to down town Los Cabos - 2$ USD per person. There is even someone there to help you get on the bus. A visit to Los Cabos is a must! the marina is bustling....reminded us of Playa del Carmen 5th avenue

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Pleasant grounds and accommodation

The hotel location is pleasant. We enjoyed our ocean view, our room, the gardens and the layout of the resort. The snack bar during the day was good. Some of the servers there were very nice. San Jose del Cabo is a lovely town. We enjoyed being able to walk there. Suggestions: Improve the food. We both became ill eating the buffet food. The evening a la carte menu needs more variety and better choices. The Frutas y flores restaurant is very noisy inside. Have a staff member to a [... read more]ssist with seating in the buffets. The one time there was a staff person helping us to find a table, this made it more pleasant than trying to find our own table in a busy restaurant. Frutas y flores seemed understaffed and it took a while for tables to be cleared and coffee to be brought to the table. The music from the main pool is too loud.

Riu Palace Baja California: It's good here

We had a great tip. We loved that it was a small resort with big resort amenities. Lots of chairs. Lots of towels. Amazing food!!! Strawberries and Shrimp. The staff was super great. Beautiful location. We enjoyed the water slides at the attached resort.

Riu Santa Fe: 5+ start worthy

My husband and I booked this trip for a much-needed getaway. The actual Resort lives up to the website, it is fantastic! Everything was perfect from booking this trip to the flight, the resort the transportation to and from. Everything was just perfect! Location in itself makes it to be very noisy.The staff where literally running around causing more confusion.You had no choice for the appetizer which came out with octupus,scallops.shrimp in hot sauce.Not everyone will eat these things so its pretty limited .The main course was steak ,lobster etc.Your choice.The steak was good if you got it cooked to your taste.My husband's steak came out raw the first time.Sent back but was barely cooked in places to medium.They fool around a lot with serving the entre with trying to find the ladies meals first.They lift the lids to find on the tray who's meal is who's,which to me causes more chaos.The tray fell to the floor which caused more stress on the wait staff.The French fries served with a very spicy coating was not good.You had no choice with the potatoe.We did not go back to the steakhouse.It needs a new menu and choice.The Indian restaurant was with no choice you just where sent out small dishes of I am not sure.Very spicy and for myself I just couldn't enjoy anything.It also needs to have choice and a new format.But when all is said the buffet was always a good choice to eat with everything to choose from.Fish ,salmon,lobster all was available to enjoy. The young adults running entertainment where very nice. Overall the resort is beautiful,good food,and the view is amazing.I saw the most amazing sunrises each morning.Its a resort you should enjoy.We did.We had 3 couples over 60.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing resort!

This resort has the best of everything! You want to chill, party, do excursions, you have it all at your fingertips! 3 resorts are tied together, my recommendation is to stay at the Riu Palace and you’ll have access to the other 2 (Baja and SantaFe). The palace is super clean, elegant, staff is friendly, room service is around the clock, fridge is always refilled (especially w water), food variety is amazing compared to other resorts. We’re definitely going back!!! ;)

Checking was quick. Room was spacious,very clean, could of had blackout curtains. Coffee was available in the room but no tea was available. There must be a unit that could make coffee and tea with hot water without the coffee flavor residuals. Water was readily available, ran low once but phone and water was delivered in less than 10 minutes. Dining- overall adequate. New resort still on a learning curve. E.G. eggs not always cooked throughly, easy over still runny,bacon inconsistent, some [... read more]times burnt, rice sometimes over cooked. Coffee came in crafts but tea served in 1 cup pots. Would of been nice if there were some crafts for tea only. Buffet was my go to.Restaurents don’t take reservations so at times waites were up to two hours.....back to the buffet. Not all restaurants open all of the time, they rotate a couple of them during the week. Hotel staff very friendly but as mentioned, still a learning curve for some due to this RIU just opening in December 2018. Grounds very clean. Pools were clean and warm, refreshing though. Towels were still given out in exchange for the cards, which seems somewhat antiquated these days. I’m sure this resort will be a full 5 star in the near future.
