Renaissance Curacao: Great staff in a make believe resort.

The place has some unique and surprisingly good features like the man made infinity pool that is filled with ocean water and which has an artificial sandy beach with palm trees. It has a great location due to its proximity to the floating bridge and downtown area. On the negative side, the lobby is filled with cigarette smoke from the Casino. You can even smell the smoke in the hallways close to the elevators on the other floors. Besides, one can get a sense that the overall policy of the Hotel is to slow the services down and short change the all inclusive guest in different ways. This included long line ups at Starbucks as well as persistently fully booked reservation space at the Cru Steakhouse due to limited capacity. The food and staff at the Cru were excellent but food was below par at Nautilus in both selection and quality and the staff were generally unfriendly. The pool side service is nothing like the all inclusive resorts of Mexico and the Dominican Republic. You are lucky if waiters are in sight and you have to waive hard to get their attention. Once successful, you can wait a long time for drinks and even longer for food. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Surprisingly, the noise in the hallway was usually from the housekeeping staff yelling "housekeeping" or communicating loudly in the early morning. During our stay, there was no hot water for the whole week. Sometimes it was cold and other times lukewarm. There was no letter of apology under the door or any warning! They probably hoped that we will not notice. When we brought the matter up with the front desk they admitted that the "boiler was broken" and that the "parts have been delayed". On our first day, the pool was closed until 1 pm for maintenance. The Nautilus was closed on one of the other days due to " an unfortunate event" which turned out to be due to water backup. Room service was offered instead but we did not take advantage of it because the situation was not very appetizing. In the end, there were many great employees that made up for the shortcomings of the place. You can tell that they are frustrated with the lack of support from their own hotel and that they have become experts at making up excuses on their employers' behalf.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: only the weather was amazing

The resort is small, the beach is small and full of coral shells, personal friendly but lazy , some of the rooms with cracks on the walls, not fancy food but enough. I rate this resort 2.5 stars. The weather was great

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great vacation!

Great overall resort! Excellent location and service! We bought the deluxe king size room with ocean view which resulted in an upgrade to the Preferred Member's Club area. Room was excellent, very clean! Very good a la carte restaurants however they do not take reservations and work on a first come first serve basis which can sometime result in long waiting times. Location of the resort is 6 km from downtown Willemstaed which was a huge plus for us. Sunscape Curacao Resort: I really enjoyed Sunscape with a few exeptions

Not much on the dessert table at the buffet, it was pretty much the same all the time including the food, the alacarte's were good with the exception of the staff at the Oceana, but the food was good, the drink's were watered down, overall the staff at the front desk and most in the buffet were excellent, they changed our room when I told them that my wife didn't want to stay on the main floor, the bar in the lobby had great drink's if that's what you wanted, overall we had a great time and woul [... read more]d consider going back. wish I was still there

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good times in Curacao

All of the staff were really nice. Room was clean and adequate to our needs. Food was excellent in the seafood restaurant. The beach was beautiful and the entertainment really added fun. It is close to an excellent sea life park and has bus access to Willemstad

Too slow serving coffee at breakfast time. Should have had the same waitress every day so we could have tipped her got picked up for the airport at 5.30 AM There should have been at least a coffee and a muffin for us.

Blue Bay Village: Good resort with huge quarters

The hotel was fine and the grounds are well kept. You have to know that the beach and eating place is some 400 meters away! I actually enjoyed the daily walk. Breakfast offerings were really limited but they can prepare scrambled eggs!! Similarly the lunch and supper menus were limited.but tasty! That means renting a car and eating in any of the many great restos in town!!

Sandals Royal Curacao: Great resort

Nice beach for kids and/or seniors, big pool, pretty grounds, nice and clean room... The food was above average for an all-includsive and customer service was wonderful--they even accommodated our gluten-free needs, including a special-order gluten-free birthday cake.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: One of our best vacations ever!

We go away at least once a year and absolutely loved the Sunscape. It was smaller and more personal then some of the really big resorts people typically go to. The food and staff were wonderful! A very unique resort and island. Would go back again!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing beach, hotel a little dated but still real

Don't believe all the bad reviews. I was very happy with our choice to stay at Sunscape but then we don't have unreasonable expectations. Was this the best all-inclusive we've ever stayed at? No, but it was still really good. Personally I think people have expectations that are too high which is why they give bad reviews. Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort: Nice place to stay

Lovely spot with a great pool area. The room was basic but very clean and everything was in working order. The kitchenette had all the utensils, dishes and pots. A small supermarket was only a short walk away. We were disappointed in the Jan Thiel beach. Compared to other islands, I wouldn't call it a beach. We did enjoy it at night as there were a couple of nice restaurants. The area is very residential so we felt safe walking or jogging. We were the only English speaking guests at the resort [... read more] and the staff spoke limited English but we managed to get by and the place has a great Dutch atmosphere.

Sonesta Kura Hulanda Village And Spa: History and luxory

The rooms at the Kura Hulanda Hotel are gorgeous. Spacious and comfortable, the ceiling lamps were so beautiful I even took pictures of them. The grounds are full of history, the museum on the grounds is enlightening and educational. Worth spending a whole day there. I loved that we were in the city and could wander to various restaurants and shopping. The shuttle drivers to the beach were always pleasant and it was a short drive to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Sunscape Curacao Resort: excellent resort

Travelled as a couple in April of 2014. Awesome resort, great food, friendly staff. Snorkelling right off the beach. Swim beyond the barrier to see great fire coral. Japanese restaurant very good. Lots of fish and coral to see.

Hilton Curacao: GREAT VACATION

Although the property was dated, it had everything we enjoy about a vacation property, which includes quiet areas, activities, natural features (snorkling right off the beach couldn't have been better). All areas were well cared for, the staff was friendly and helpful, the variety of food was excellent. The different "restaraunts" that popped up around the property throughout the week were a pleasant surprise.
