This was our second time here. The resort needs some TLC.The staff was great and the buffet food was great too. Waitress Mercedes on the beach took care of us. Could use more chairs on the beach but we were always there early so we where ok.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: A few hiccups but otherwise good

Check in took very long . Not from a lack of staff but the process. Once checked in we got a room that was already occupied , how that happens.. I have no idea !! Next morning we toured around the grounds and were happy the hotel was clean and well kept . My kids loved the water park . I did find slides marked low intensity seemed a little too fast for my 8 year old . Food was great . Hunters steakhouse definitely a must to eat at. I never had any problems getting into restaurants. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great place to go !

First trip to Cuba and won’t be the last to this resort ! I found the Cuban people amazing , so nice ! People working at the resort tray one another like Faniky and also treated us like family. They appreciate visitors and try their best to make you ahve a great time! I felt the all who work Here take great pride in their work! From our butler David, Barbara on the lobby bar, Javier from grounds maintence and Marcelo who is their to greet you and bring your bags to your room all Amazing peo [... read more]ple. I didn’t find any shortages and enjoyed many good meals. The resort is beautiful the grounds are impeccable! I am So Glad our agent recommended this resort ! Rooms are very clean.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

We loved this resort, everything was amazing, room, service, food etc. The rooms had the most amazing showers. My only complaint was if it's really windy the sand on the beach blows around so you can't lay there.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Royalton Hocicos Varadero

Hotel setting was great , beach was fabulous ,soft sand , clear water , very few sea weeds. no big waves services was great but the choice of meals was OK and needs improvement in that the stations at the buffet were the same each day both for lunch and dinner. The restaurants were not outstanding but provided a change. We were told that you did not need reservations for the restaurants, it was first come basis ,but the Diamond club membe [... read more]rs could walk in at anytime and this was not fair especially if you have been waiting for 1/2 hour to get in and then refused entry. They should make the reservations ahead so that we know if there is a possibility of getting a table. Wifi was very difficult and we had to go the front reception area to get connected. The elevator was out of order and that made it very difficult for people who had physical problems and were using walkers. The buffet , and 3 other restaurants were all located on the second floor. We enjoyed our stay . We would give this place 4 stars

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing stay at the Royalton

2nd time at the Royalton and definitely will be returning. Amazing beach, rooms and food. Oven side grill was great for lunch time quesadillas. Butler Omar was awesome and took care of us all week. Highly recommend.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: excellent resort

A very nice hotel, very clean, the grounds are beautiful with so many different flowers, the staff very helpful and polite always ready to when you need them. We had a wonderful time. One area that needs a lot of improvement is dining, both in food and service. Food is not the best, lacks in variety, quantity and preparation. Buffet is always the same no variety at all and very tasteless, quiet often run out of things (like shrimp, butter, fruit...) and if you went a little later there will only [... read more] be what others did not want because they were out of most of the food. Even though the staff was very nice they were very slow, something they would bring my coffee after I was done my breakfast. Things like these that made a bit unpleasant. A Carte Restaurant there was a wait of hours even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables but we were told that that was for the diamond clients, we talk to the manager and he made the reservation for us. One thing that I was surprised is that I would have to pay extra (US$120.00) for a steak if I wanted one. When I go all inclusive I never had to pay for anything.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great family resort.

Clean rooms and grounds. Friendly staff. Food is very good. Only 20 minutes or so from the airport. Great resort for families of all ages. We have previously stayed at this resort and definitely would go back again.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Nice Resort

The resort very clean, staff wonderful. There was no shortage of beach loungers either at the beach or pool. Food was good, had a variety at the buffet. The food was tasty and the restaurants were lovely and food was good.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Really Nice Trip

We stayed at the Royalton in Grenada January 21-28 with 2 other couples, all in the 52-68 range. We had one hillside room, an oceanfront room and one couple stayed in the Diamond Club. The resort was a Rex when my husband and I were there last about 11 years ago with young children - this trip was all adult. Firstly, the ride from the airport is the best - literally 2 minutes from the airport. Don't worry, you don't notice the planes during your stay! Next, the property of this resort is  [... read more]beautiful. I can see that Royalton has added a lot of additional vegetation and flowering plants, which is constantly maintained. The beachfront is very long with worn reefs along much of it, so to swim, you need to find the areas where it is safer to enter. There is also a lot of palms and other trees along much of the beach so there is a lot of shade, and the chairs have cushions on them, so are very comfortable. Towels are plenty and there is no silly sign out of towels and they are always available. The waves can be strong, so care needs to be taken getting in and out of the water, particularly if you are navigating near the large rocks/coral areas. The views are stunning with visibility to the main town and cruise ships to the right of the resort and the temperature of the water was amazing. Vendors do come to the beach and are very kind and respectful. We bought a few things as we always want to support the locals where we can. The rooms are nicer than before as they have been upgraded. The TV and AC were a bit temperamental to figure out at times, but we managed. The toilets flush like an airplane toilet (funny!) and the shower has a rain shower component above which was very nice. No complaints about the room, other than our ocean front room was at the end of the building with a partially obstructed view. We didn't have the energy to change rooms but would ask for a different location if we went back. We tipped the cleaning staff daily. The face and floor towels were not always replaced, nor the 2 beers in the fridge. Food is never our primary reason for travel - we want to have safe, tasty choices and like to try local fare. Like any all inclusive, the food was varied and good enough for a week. We were all able to choose food at the buffet or restaurants that was good, but nothing really blew us away. Except maybe the desserts. In our experience, most resorts do not have desserts worth the calories. However, the desserts in the buffet were delicious - hats off to the pastry chef! On an island that makes chocolate, these might have been the best desserts, but tough competition with the other cakes and squares. YUM! No one in our group had any gastro issues at all. The specialty restaurants were fine. The 2 indoor restaurants, the French and Indian, were heavily air conditioned so take layers! It was freezing! The staff are very helpful and nice, and again, there were no incidents that would make me think otherwise. There are several bars and everyone was happy with the drinks, etc. We didn't see a lot of the entertainment. There is a lot going on with water aerobics at the pools, yoga, etc. The night with the steel band was our favourite - they really got into it and the joy and energy was palpable. Can't say much about the other nights as we typically sat near a bar talking and saw lots of others playing games. We did 2 day trips. One day we rented a catamaran for the day from Grenadines Sailing Escapade and the person's name was Magali. It was a 42' cat which we shared with the 6 of us plus two crew. We had a beautiful day going along the coast, doing some snorkeling and sight seeing. The chef was not available so the resort supplied wraps and sandwiches through the Diamond Club couple, and we took extra fruit and snacks from the morning buffet and grabbed some beers. The boat had a big cooler. It was a bit rough so the water wasn't super clear when we did the sculpture garden snorkel, but we still spotted many of the sculptures - maybe look at a map of the area to figure out where to find them better than we did lol! We also did a day tour of the island with Tom from the Royalton beach. He is very funny and knowledgeable about the island's history and resources. We saw a lot of things I don't think the typical tours would do and many things that they would. It was a full day and everyone seemed to have a good time. The van wasn't new and the AC took a while to be felt, but it felt authentic. Note - the roads are narrow and the driving is crazy. Tom is a "driver" and actually made us feel safe with his amazing capabilities. I do not think I would rent a car and explore as the island is mountainous with many blind curves and we did see a couple of accidents along the way in the morning. I'd leave it to the experts! We saw A LOT during the day and I'm sure when we see our friends again, we'll be sharing some of the stories from that day! All in all, a wonderful, relaxing week on a beautiful island at a pretty resort with nice people. Just what you want from a vacation south during winter.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful grounds, beach & pools but rooms are starting to show there age

The grounds and pools are very well kept really great beach with lots of loungers. Or course the pool chairs are gone by early morning with towels on them. The butlers Ariel, Marisbia were very attentive to your needs. The bad was the lack of certain foods but that is problem all over. I guess we didn't have as many food problems as other resorts. The only bad thing that happened was I went to move a coffee table a bit closer to the couch and it collapsed, this was because there where no s [... read more]crews holding the 3rd leg in place. The table being very heavy and the top of the leg went down my shin, They did take me to the doctor at a The Memories resort and he cleaned it up. Salt water was the best treatment for it. This was fine for the first day but the second day the winds really picked for about 3 days, venturing into the waters would have led to a bigger problem. All in all was a nice time away, great water show the one night.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Royalton Santa Maria! I definitely recommend and consider staying again. The resort was very clean, the people were extremely friendly and the food was magnificent! The cleaning staff were wonderful especially Aleida who always kept our room clean and grabbed us everything we needed. Our butlers, Mairobis and Ariel were amazing as well. Always ready to make certain that we had the best time and were catered to.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort!

This resort was amazing! The rooms and building itself were very nice and clean. The entertainment was fun and the food was amazing. The best part of the resort had to be the gorgeous beach. Also the location was great, close to convenience stores and other restaurant and bars/clubs only a 5 minute walk away. The airport is also only a 15 minute drive. The staff was very friendly and they go out of their way to help you.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort!

The resort is close to the airport, exceptionally clean and the service is amazing. The beach is beautiful with lots of chairs and shade if you want it. The servers at the beach are awesome. It is nice not having to go to the bar. A lifeguard is on duty and keeps a close eye on the swimmers. The grounds are well kept. The pool is great. The servers are attentive and like the beach it is really nice not having to go to the bar for drinks. However, it is a party atmosphere. The music starts around [... read more] 10am and continues all day. It is fairly loud. If you are looking for a quiet resort this is not it. My girlfriends and I didn't mind and enjoyed the music. The grill at the pool has delicious chicken, sausages, salads, rice and potatoes. The potatoes are so good! The games and the activities around the pool in the afternoon are fun and very entertaining. The entertainment staff are amazing. The foam party is a lot of fun. The rooms are large and clean with a balcony which is nice. Includes a mini-fridge. The shower is large with a rainfall showerhead which is a nice touch. There are a number of restaurants to choose from. The buffet is great for breakfast and lunch. Lots of selection and the quality is very good. The oriental restaurant is amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The steak house was good as well. The Italian restaurant wasn't great. No one liked their pasta dishes, but the salad bar and bread were good. The grill by the pool was delicious and the take-out pizza was good as well. The coffee shop was great for snacks and the coffee was amazing. The elevators are slow during busy times. I would definitely go back. Great vacation with my girlfriends!

It was a great experience at Royalton Chic! Very clean rooms and entire resort; friendly staff, excellent entertainment team . Beach is absolutely amazing! Good is a bit limited variety but good quality

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Just ok

It’s a little dated. Mini bar was never refilled. Coffee was never restocked. If we wanted refills, we had to go to the reception. Butler service is not worth it. We were supposed to get preferred reservations at the restaurants, but we initially got 8:30 pm. We had to negotiate for better times. Adults section was very small. Many times there was no peanut butter at the restaurant. Not really an adults only vibe.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

This was our second trip to the Royalton Hicacos in the last two months. We returned so quickly because we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Our review in short order: best strip of beach in Cuba, amazing and attentive staff all around - butlers, servers, cleaning staff, management, cooks, and so on, and remarkably well resourced restaurants with little evidence of any shortages. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The upgrade to a Superior room is well worth it - buildings 1-4 are renovated [... read more] with all the modern conveniences and styling. The resort has special perks for returning guests, and treated us superbly. Special mentions to JB and Tatiana in the Pearl Restaurant, Annia at the Lobby bar, all the staff at the Pool Bar, as well as butlers Betty, Laura, Leo and Omar, and Naylet.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa Review

This is a wonderful resort. It is small but has everything that you need. The food in the 4 restaurants were very good and the portion sizes were appropriate. I didn't find the Italian restaurant to have as many options that I would have expected but it was still good. The buffet had a good variety for breakfast. We only went there on the night we arrived due to our plane being delayed by 2.5 hours and it was good. We enjoyed both the pools and the beach which were kept clean. Over [... read more]all the place was clean and although there was a few spots where the rain water came in, they were on top of fixing it. The entertainment was somewhat lacking but that is ok. I didn't go there for the night life. However, I really did enjoy the silent party and fire night. But what makes this place is the customer service and the manager Yuvi. Everyone was genuinely friendly and Yuvi was always going around checking that everything was going ok. He remembered faces and offered to help with anything you might need.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

The resort was beautiful only a short distance from the airport. The staff was so friendly. The rooms were so fresh and clean the butler service was so worth it. The restaurants were all a 10. The beach and the pools were beautiful. We will be going back 100%.

This was a very nice resort. The beach views were amazing; the grounds were well cared for, and the staff overall were very friendly and cared that they provided great service. The manager Yuvi checked in regularly to ensure guests were satisfied - he is a very hard working man! The food was delicious at the a la carte restaurants. The excursions provided from the resort were great value and there were lots of options. That made it easy to plan time away for exploring.
