Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great for kids - okay for adults

Great fun things to do for the kids - awesome waterslides, laser tag, bowling and nightly shows but they did not enforce the no holding of lounge chairs so it was very challenging to find a seat by the pool and the beach was horrendous with seaweed (not the hotels fault but the seaweed came early). The rooms were great but doors paper thin so you could hear all the hallway noise loudly in the rooms. The restaurants (except for the Smoke) were absolutely amazing and the bars were mainly stocked w [... read more]ith mid-top shelf booze. The Sunwing bus didnt pick us up from the airport for nearly TWO HOURS and the check-in was a nightmare between the guy taking 45 mins to set up our rooms and wrist bands to him totally not assigning one of the rooms at all and our luggage getting misplaced. Beware there are extra fees once you arrive - daily resort fees per person are extra.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Vacation

We had the perfect trip to The Fives! We didn't have one bad meal - food was next level. Lots to do, friendly staff, great kids club.The vegetation and wildlife were so special throughout the resort. Room (one bedroom suite) was huge but a bit dated, but we understood that the older buildings were more central to things so we didn't mind. Lots of options for pools which were a nice temperature. The plaza was also an added feature in the evenings - outdoor seating under palm trees with lanterns and lights strung. Live music every night. Already dreaming of next year - can't wait to return. You will not be disappointed here!!

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Had an amazing time!

Beautiful grounds, well kept and clean Food was varied and really good! Beautiful pools. I wish there was a jacuzzi in the pool area, which I need to use regularly for back pain issues. Enjoyed our coffee every morning I felt the drinks were a little watered down. As there are only three a la carte restaurantes, the system of lining up before 7 am to make a reservation seems not the best way to do it. Great time overall! Will likely return

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Hotel was phenomenal. Trip there, excursion, and trip home, not so much

Beautiful resort. Tons of dining options. Pools were fantastic. SUPER clean resort from the rooms to the common areas. Lots of events for adults and kids with plenty to occupy both. Service was excellent and check and and check out were easy.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Fun Week at Iberostar

My daughter and I spent a week at the Iberostar-Del Mar resort in February. Overall we had a relaxing, fun week. I wanted to share some positive feedback on the resort as well as some areas I think they could improve on. I also need to mention the areas I think the resort could improve on in no way that affected our enjoyment at this resort. We are visitors from another country and never expect perfection. They are so well kept and it was wonderful being able to walk through the canopy of trees and lighted pathways at night. -The wildlife was also wonderful to experience (Coatis, Iguanas, Flamingoes, birds & peacocks) -The staff was all very nice, professional, and helpful. I witnessed many times when the staff also were warm and courteous to each other. -There are lots of pools to choose from. You can find a quiet area if you don't enjoy the music and games and activities at the main pool area. -There is lots of shade at both the pool and beach. -Rooms were very clean -The resort is very eco-friendly. There are water filling stations on each floor where you can refill 2 large glass water bottles. -The whole resort is huge. My daughter and I love to walk so there were plenty of places to explore. Areas for improvement; -I would rate the food at a 6.5/10. We booked the French, Mexican, and Italian restaurants. Overall I was disappointed with the Mexican food at the whole resort. At the Mexican restaurant, I ordered chicken fajitas. They listed on the menu that they come with rice and beans but my order was simply chicken, onions, and peppers. I only saw guacamole one time at the buffet and rarely saw baked tortillas and beans. The French restaurant served french onion soup with barely a teaspoon of cheese, the pizza at the Italian restaurant was undercooked and the pasta overcooked. -The egg/omelet station at the morning buffet was always very busy. I love having eggs in the morning but on several occasions gave up waiting. The bacon is also in the same area and difficult to access due to the line. The scrambled eggs appear to be from a mix and are undercooked and runny. -You do not have the ability to adjust the temperature in the room. When we arrived the thermostat was set at 22 degrees. It was much hotter in the room. I called the front desk and they adjusted it to 18 degrees. The room did not cool down and someone came and said there was a broken piece in the system. They tried to repair it but it didn't make much of a difference. - The beach and pool chairs are reserved very early (7:00am) with people who put their towels on them to save. We ended up having to do the same in order to have a chair during the day. I'm not really sure what the hotel can do about this. -The rooms are a little dated. There was a large burn mark on the floor in our room & the shower arm was broken. -The shows at night are limited and not really entertaining. There are 2 shows that are extra. We did not go to either. -There are no elevators in the building we stayed in. We were on the top floor (3). It wasn't a problem for us but might be for others. Again, overall we had a wonderful, relaxing time at the Iberostar. -One more tip- Do not take a taxi from the airport to the resort. We were stuck in a long line at customs and realized the Sunwing bus had left. We didn't know what to do. A man who claimed he worked for Sunwing told us we had no other choice but to take a taxi. He said Sunwing would cover the cost. We agreed upon $50CAD. He said he would give me a receipt but after the transaction, said his machine was out of paper. Once at the hotel, I checked my credit card and saw a charge just under $500 CAD. I'm embarrassed I fell for this but I wanted to warn others. :(

Playa Mazatlan: Great resort with amazing view

A wonderfully sprawling resort that had roughly 7 pools and 3 jacuzzis. The 4 of us (2 couples)had an amazing time and greatly appreciated the wonderful service by the staff. Although few spoke little English we still managed to get by and enjoyed the authentic feel. They helped me celebrate my husbands birthday with special thanks to the breakfast staff and later to the dinner staff and matre d at the le veranda restaurant. A couple of things to be aware of: the constant music by the mariachi b [... read more]ands in the beach all day and even into the night there was noise filtering in from surrounding properties. Other than that we enjoyed the variety offered at the buffets and I particularly welcomed brushing up on my Spanish. Be sure to check out the wonderful coffee at George’s cafe. Thank you Carlos for the wonderful tasting lattes and Americanos we would have before breakfast. All in all a beautiful resort overlooking the beach with amazing views of the water. Thank you to kerri at tripcentral for arranging this for us and a a special kudos to her as well for being there when we needed her. I had so many questions which she quickly addressed and she was there for us when our flight was cancelled for our return trip. We can’t thank you enough for making our vacation worthwhile and taking of us from start to finish. I’ll definitely be booking with tripcentral again.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Enjoyable Resort!

Although the hotel is older we were very comfortable. The service was great! We especially enjoyed using the adult section which consisted of an adult area bar with food availability, pool, hot tub and beach area! The beach was great and you could walk long distances. The food was very good and the service was always quick and friendly! The standard room did not have a bar fridge and the shower pressure was inconsistent when using hot water. The music at the pool area was sometimes too loud and the chairs were difficult to find and were not comfortable. The outside beds were comfortable if you were fortunate enough to find one that was available. No other entertainment to speak of in the evening although they did have a DJ and dancing at the beach every night. We were surprised to meet so many Canadians at this Resort ! It was nice getting to meet and chat with other people, many of them repeat visitors. We enjoyed our vacation but most of all the adult section of this hotel was a real plus for us! We booked this trip with Sandra Taylor from Tripcentral.ca. She was very knowledgeable and did a great job for us. Would not hesitate using Sandra again.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Love the Royal Decameron

I love this resort because of the staff, they are cheerful and friendly. The many pools, the many restaurants, the ocean and beach and that you can walk for miles either way. They keep things very clean. i also love the rich colours of the buildings! The wifi could be better!

Temptation Resort & Spa: Vibrant resort

To enjoy it 100% you will need to be a member. Because it was my first time and with my purple bracelet I got a outdated room, couldn't get some drinks (only reserved to member) and some area which I understand. But I think the drink part was a little too much mostly our drink were really cheap. Other than that I loved it (Food was great) and the party was good. I will probably go back one day when we are ready to become members to have a different experience.

Haven Riviera Cancun: Exceeded my expectations!

Everything about this resort was wonderful! Stunning views, beautiful pools, beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. But the best part were the staff members. Every single person we encountered provided amazing customer service and wanted to ensure we had a fabulous stay. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I’ve been to a number of AIs and this one met and surpassed all of my expectations for a special get away with girlfriends. Thank you Haven!

Not one of my better trips no hot water the whole week payed over 3,300 to stay !!! Food average not normal Mexico service will not return .this is suppose to be five star ! No house coat no slippers …. Extra cost for ice cream !

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun 2023 Vacation

Excellent service, awesome food, drinks, entertainment and accommodation. The grounds were well maintained. Beach is mediocre but we can’t complain. Many don’t get to travel thus we appreciate and are grateful for it all. We had a wonderful experience with beautiful memories. We will definitely return.

Dreams Huatulco: Fair

The hotel needs some serious updating. Rooms, grounds were not as nice as 4 years ago. Tiles need desperate replacing . The food as we remember 4 years ago was plentiful with a lot of selection. This time not a good selection most times. The food was very bland at the Asian restaurant. Our favourite was the Italian which is where we ate most dinners. The main restaurant we had to wait at the buffet behind glass to be served which took forever, therefore we never attempted to eat there again.

Pierre Mundo Imperial: Beautiful, quiet beach location & really friendly staff

Palm tree & ocean views are the most serene here at this quiet resort. Not a lot of night life, not a lot to do other than suntan and swim and chill on the beach, the place seemed pretty empty too which also worked for us. Staff were all helpful & friendly. It was very convenient to be able to eat/play/swim at 2 other Mundo Imperial resorts and they usually had buses at the lobby ready to go to make it an easy day out. Food was delicious at all restaurants. One down fall at Pierre were the extr [... read more]a charges on a good portion of the menu even when you are all inclusive.. Rooms were fine nothing too special, ceiling fan was likely the m ost recent major update in them, though much appreciated! The sun sets behind the mountain - pretty spot.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Very good place to stay with children

Beautiful, new accommodation. Good food. Friendly personal. Clean , very clean. Every day different activities. Beach was full of seaweed. Impossible to go to ocean. Only this point is value for me . Pools was cleaned every day. Beautiful rooms. I would come here again if seaweed will disappear. And recommend everyone to come here ....

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very good family resort

Stunning resort with amazing food. Found the place to be very geared to families with young children. Easy access for buggies and the child daisy pool offered lots for the kiddies. The adult pool was fun and the adult restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately there was no adult section on the beach. The beach was the only downfall. So much seaweed and no turquoise water. Zero accommodations in regard to Covid.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Nice Resort

We stayed at El Beso section, which was centrally located to most everything. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good at the buffet and excellent at the a la cartes. We tried every day to get into the Asian restaurant but had no luck getting a reservation.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Terrific for families with young children

Dreams is a superb resort for families with young children below the teen level with its multiple shallow pools for kids to frolic in safely. The accommodations for both the grandparents..us and our three families were great.

Riu Flamingos: A more than pleasant stay

The food was plentiful and the variety was a pleasant surprise, especially since our stay was over a two week period. The hotel staff were fairly knowledgeable and reasonable with our few requests. The sports bar being open 24 hours was also a huge plus. The gym on the premises was everything I could have asked for. The only complaints dealt with the nightly entertainment...they were either very, very good or outright terrible (no in betweens) ... and the hotel would not accept any Americ [... read more]an dollars as their fear of money laundering took priority over our insistence that our U.S dollars were "clean". ( I even went so far as to suggest washing our U.S.dollars with their choice of soap directly in front of them, which they took with the humour that was intended). Finally, the maids were a little spotty with their cleaning...sometimes very, very good and other times hugely inconsistent, and the room, again only on some days, had a peculiar odour originating from the bathroom drains.
