Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent family vacation

This was mine and my wife's 3rd stay at the Bahia Principe at 3 different section . Once at the Bavaro Golden, once at the Ambar green and this time at the Esmeralda. As with the other two stays the entire resort is beautiful and we'll maintained.Thid trip we traveled with our Daughter who has been here once before, as well as our niece , nephew and his girl friend all on there first time to down south. The buffets for breakfast and lunch and supper had a variety of food for everyone to enjoy.  [... read more]During this Visit we ate at 4 A la Carte resteruants all were excellent , and all the staff were a pleasure to deal ....with a special thanks to Johnny who accommodated all 6 off us with the in pool scuba lesson and Louis with setting up our buggy excursion that took us through the back roads and a refreshing dip in a cenote.....in short we had a great trip well organized for us by Tanya Smith at Trip Central and would recommend both the hotel and will be dealing with Tanya and Trip Central for our next vacation.....PS as with many resorts the only issue was the sand fleas

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Relaxing place

It was a nice place and very clean. Very busy resort and at the time there was a lot of construction next door. The bedrooms were beautiful. Wish there was a place to go dancing nighttime. The food was decent. The garden grill was the best place.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: INCREDIBLE RESORT!

This resort was absolutely amazing. The food, the hospitality, the views. Extremely clean and well kept, and no chance to get bored or have nothing to do! Every possible activity you can think of! Will definitely return. Not to mention how surprised I was at how good of a family resort it is as well. Although we stayed at the tulum (amazing for couples) part of the resort we visited coba (one of the hotel areas in resort) as well and would recommend it to anyone going on a family trip. Everything was amazing, the food, the resort, the room, the crowd,and the staff. So much to do at the resort, which means no need to leave the resort. Everyone were really friendly and nice. The beach was a bit dirty.

The grand Bahia akumal in Mexico was truly amazing,the people went out of their way to help and always pleasant.the hotel itself was breathtaking and the nature around the resort was truly like living in the garden of Eden .definately would go back and recommend this resort. John and margaret

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Awesome resort

Had a great time...we were there from april15 2017 to April 25...the staff are very helpful n welcoming...our room was very clean...the food was awesome...Victor our rep. For West jet is a gem...Eddy our server at main buffet always has a smile on him that makes people smile back...I most definitely would go back...

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: It was an Okay Resort! 40% staff very slow and rude!

When we arrived we were excited about the Grand Bahia Principe as my girlfriend had visited before. However on this occasion we aimed to experience the hotel and its amenities with the view to get married at the Grand Bahia. We mentioned this to the front desk and unfortunately we were booked into a poor room, location was not good, right above the main lobby where it was very noisy and view was not great. On the second day we asked to be moved, but no rooms were available, however we got  [... read more]moved on the third night, this meant we still hadn't unpacked our bags. The rooms in general were ok. Had to complain a couple of times to get coffee and towels for the room. One member of house keeping staff said it wasn't their job to help with those requests and told us to go and ask reception. Some of the staff members were really rude, felt like they didn't want to be there. During breakfast, lunch and dinner, many times we had to wait to be served with drinks, cutlery. The drinks were all watered down, and would require one to drink all day to get to a tipsy level. Breakfast wasn't the best, felt like left overs from the night before. The whirl pools weren't working, the entertainment got cancelled on multiple occasions due to weather (they could have just moved indoors), the smell of damp carpet was really really really bad, the sand felt like fake sand. Overall, the experience was a 5/10. Not sure if we will consider this hotel for our wedding or not, still pondering, thinking maybe it was just a one off experience, who knows... Thank you, M&V

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort

Beautiful and well maintained property. Enjoyed the gym, mini golf, tennis and kayaking. Good food selection at the buffet. Even my daughter, who is a picky eater, enjoyed the food. Really enjoyed the Mediterrean and Asain a la Carte restaurants. Highly recommend these restaurants!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Comfortable Stay

The Grand Bahia San Juan is a clean pleasant place to stay. Hot water was not a regular occurrence in our room and we had to call the desk for it a few times. Otherwise the room was clean and well cared for and the beds were comfortable. The beach was covered in seaweed while we were there and were told it was the time of year. We visited all restaurants and enjoyed each one thoroughly. The buffet had a variety of foods available and all was well prepared and tasty. The water activities wer [... read more]e fun but be prepared that Easter Weekend a lot of things shut down and there are fewer staff available. The Atlantic Ocean is not a great place to snorkel. The sun was hot and the pools were beautiful. .

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Good vacation

Just got back April 23rd and had a very nice time. The resort was very clean and the people were excellent. Too bad for the weather having rain every day but still could be out around the pools. The only thing we did struggle with was the food. Could have been better. Fasuco the young lad on the resort was so kind to us and couldn't help us enough. Our flight on Transat as usual was excellent. All in all great vacation.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Beautiful resort!

This resort is one to definitely put on your list for rest and relaxation! The restaurants we found were fine dining like ones here! Great food always found something we loved on the meau! Our butler Romon which went out of his way to make our anniversary stay the most special time. Thank you Romon! With bubbles baths ready and champagne to just candles and chocolates at bed time! The island has beautiful views, great maids room was always clean! Staff very pleasant and accommodating!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very Clean resort!

Nothing negative ro say about the resort. Very clean, food was good, little cart came around often to give us rides around the resort. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that it was soooo big we got lost a few times!!

Enjoyed my stay there. Friendly staff and food is good as well. Only complaint is the resort is massive and confusing. Got lost several times trying to find my room but But overall was beautiful and would go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Esmerelda!

My 5th stay at Esmerlda. Unfortunately this year the "atmosphere" was different with adult-only...missed the family oriented focus. Am very happy to hear the resort is reverting back as of May. This year I found lack of waiter service in the lobby bar, room fridge was not restocked daily, coffee pot never cleaned out, rooms are getting In need of an overall upgrade. Wednesday.18 same thin also Thursday.19 same thin even so I went to Management of the Resort and Air Transat we will talk to the top in Line Management, oh we will come back to you, give us your them Name room nr we come back to you (still Waiting) If you need to Run the Generator, close the Pool area for the time running or build a noise reduction Wall or open up Door to the back it may help to reduce the Noise. Tell the People a Generator is close by it may inter fair with your relaxation for you stay. I am Business if someone would Complain about losing 3 days of relaxation Construction or Generator Noise, I would not say we come back to you I would be back and let them know or try to comfort them not taken the 20.000 plus Dollars for the Group to get there it so post to be Adult Luxury Bahia Principe. All in our Group was saying the Beach Kids area are very good also the rest of the resource. Working Personal very friendly, helpful what the Management has to Learn from workers. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful Resort

The Hotel is great, however I personally found it was much too big , Tullum beach was too rocky and Si-an Kaan beach was nice however ,the beach is only waist high An therefore not great for swimming.We were upgraded to Si'an Kaan it was lovely,but lived out of our suitcases as there is no dressers,and a closet with 6clothes hangers,not great for two guests.Aftrr 7 days of our 10 day visit we were told we would be moved back to Coba.when the day came,we asked and were told we could stay at Si'an [... read more] Kaan managers told us it was taken care of ,only to come back to our room next day and locked out told we were suppose to move,had 15 minutes to pack and move to Coba,lost our dinner reservations,Rooms are much nicer at Coba wish we had stayed at Coba for our 10 day stay,but don't know if we would go back,beautiful,but too big

Our first day at the resort was really nice. We got there around night time so straight away we went to eat at the buffet. There is a great selection of different types of foods at the buffet ranging from breads to pastas to chicken and fish. The staff at the buffet was wonderful and gave great service, they were all very friendly. The next couple days we went to check out the resort and the place itself is very spacious. There was a snack bar right beside our room and pool area which is great if you just want a quick bite to eat. Not as much selection at the snack bar as the buffet but understandable. The guacamole and chips were great while chilling by the pool. We got 2 rooms for 2 people each so 4 people in total. The rooms are very nice and big to fit quite a few people. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating when we needed something (Tissue, tea bags, etc) The only downside I would right as a 'CON' was when my daughter had food poisoning from one of the A La Carte's we ate at. I believe it was the French restaurant located near the lobby. We suspected it might be 'Uncooked Lamb' or the dessert she ate, we don't know exactly but she definitely felt VERY sick after eating there and I would not recommend it. She puked a couple times so we had to buy Gatorade for her in the gift shop located at the lobby, always be prepared for those things! Overall, the staff was lovely and the place itself is great if you like big resorts and want to relax. I give it a ✰✰✰✰/5.

My sister and I had a wonderful time at this resort . Staff were very friendly and always asked if we were enjoying our stay . The only thing I didn't care for was smelly carpeting in hallway . Otherwise the resort was great !

Although this resort is very large the food and grounds were excellent. One thing we found while staying is that if you miss breakfast there is nothing to eat until lunch is served. Staff were very friendly and always willing to please. Plan your routes accordingly and be sure to book your a lacartes first thing as they fill up fast or so we were told. Our room was on floor 7 in building 13 which is in the center of the resort over looking the pool. Beach was ok but no bar close. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Wouldn't go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grounds were beautiful the staff were friendly but the food was not hot , the generator was running all the time in the quiet pool we were not able to get into the ala cartes and at the quiet pool the drinks were not good compared to the other pool. The rooms were really nice but friends in our group and no hot water for showers for 3 days some of them had a fridge that didnt work I would never go back I have been to a 3-4 star that was so much better than this 5 star.
