Impressive Punta Cana: it was good, other than the beach!

the beach was not crystal blue water you might be thinking of. there were lots of seaweed and the water was murky. pools were nice and cold. foods were decent in the buffet. however, japanese restaurant was a complete disappointment. the room was nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort!

My sister, three teenaged kids and I spent a week at the Bahia Principe Esmeralda this August. The resort, including the other Bahia Prinicipecresirts attaches, was really nice. The beach is beautiful, and you can walk forever. There are plenty of palapas for shade. Unfortunately, there was a bit of algae in the sea, especially on our first day, but it didn’t stop any of us from enjoying the beautiful, warm, turquoise water. The rooms are large and well-equipped, though they could be a little cleaner. A screen door would be useful so that we could allow fresh air into the room. Food was plentiful and there was always something we could each enjoy at every meal. The adults in the group loved going to the coffee shop at the neighbouring Ámbar, which is a beautiful, newly renovated adults-only resort. Service was always excellent.

Ocean El Faro: Great trip overall

Great clean facility with a lot to do on the resort. shout out to Jose at Mikes coffee, Carlos and Ana entertainment team members, Franklin at the pool bar, and Richard at margaritas restaurant. Blue moon, buffet and margarita the best. Tips: Go early for dinner so you can get faster service. We will come again

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Exceeds expectations

Though rated at four and a half stars on some websites, I fail to find what this resort could do to improve anything to reach five stars. As in most reviews, the Dominican staff is friendly, outgoing, and extremely professional and attentive. Due to the conglomeration of four hotels into one complex, there’s a huge choice of pools, restaurants, and activities for every member of the family, and the combined resort has the longest stretch of beach in Punta Cana. We tried different a la Carte re [... read more]staurants every night and we’re never dissatisfied, in particular, the Indian restaurant and the Mexican were excellent. I’d highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a great family vacation in the sun.

Riu Republica: Beautiful large clean resort

The riu republica was a beautiful large resort. Rooms were nice and clean as well. Our AC brook near the end on our floor but was not to hot as the fan still worked and I think some cold air still came out. The food was amazing, had everything I could think of with lots of flavour. Many restaurants that are all walk in, no reservations. The beach was AMAZING! Never had trouble finding laydown chair or shade. The beach water was clean and not rocky at all. No special snorkeling ability on Th [... read more]e beach but easy trip to plan. On the beach there was kayaks and those wind sail boats to use free of Charge. Never used the pools but was very pretty. Great resort if you like to party. The hotel takes you off the resort to pool parties that were the best parties according to my 3 male friends. The staff were super friendly and always in a good mood. At night there was a disco that was always full. The shows were a 7 out of 10 when I compare to what I’ve seen ( I never expect much from the shows) One thing a really liked about the bar is that they Had a drink menu so it was easy to try many new things at a busy bar. Great resort! I would totally go back 😄

Blau Natura Park Resort: Good resort, but book the select rooms.

When we were first given our room it was old and unimpressive. We up graded to a select room, which was better, but still old (phone didn't work properly, bathroom door came of the track). However they did come to fix these things when asked. Resort grounds were beautiful. Beach and pool were nice and had lots of seating and bar. Food in buffets was great, booked 2 specialty restaurants and they were mediocre. Good resort if you get a good deal, but would spend the money and go to the Barc [... read more]elo or Riu's if you want great.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: The Hard Rock resort rocks!!

Fabulous resort with something for everyone. Great food and service, amazing beach, 13 pools, lots to do. Thanks Nicolle Kirk for the great suggestion for this resort, we absolutely loved it and highly recommend it for anyone with families.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Great value vacances

We stayed 9 days at Memories on august 5-14th. The arrival was smooth and it took us only 20 min drive from airport to the resort. All the way from airport and during the stay at the resort we have easy access to the Internet via WiFi. When we arrived at the resort personnel was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived at 13:00 around and the rooms were not ready yet, but we knew that ahead and were prepared to take advantage of the day to the beach anyway. The air-conditioning works very well, efficiently and practically no noise. Beds are confortable and cleaned every day from the maid. Very kind personnel. The beach is in working distance from the Memories buildings, but there is trollies every 3minutes passing by. Beach area us a little small but if you like walking alongside the beach it is very easy accessible. The food is very good and there are buffets one on the beach and another close to rooms (lobby). There is a good variety of foods in both buffets and three are three restaurants without reservation every night. It was our best stay in domenican so far

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Nice resort

Nice resort. Good service and food, clean. Not sure about the regular rooms as we had upgraded to privilege bit from what I saw the resort value their clients and take every comment and criticism and try to find a solution.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great resort!

The resort is beautiful and massive with many pools and beach spots. Great place for friends, families or couples. There's a wide variety of restaurants for all tastes. The staff was very kind and made sure we had the best of times.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Resort was a little disapointing but Marnie and TripCentral were great!

Fridge in room didn't work well. Didn't receive extra cot for 2 days Room service no showed 3 nights in a row Food was average. Entertainment was not great. Grounds were kept very clean and staff was good Supervisor was not helpful at all Punta Cana is beautiful but I will stay at another resort next time

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort

This is a great hotel with great crews, including room cleaning maids, gardening crews, maintenance crew. I have no problem in finding a crew who speaks English. Crews greet you with a smiling face and friendly. The hotel is clean and the food is good, except couple times, the beef and lamb are over cooked, therefore hard to chew.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great resort

The grounds were beautiful. The food was amazing. All the hotel staff was very kind. There were a couple people trying to sell excursions on the beach but otherwise we had a great experience. The Taíno experience show was great

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort for the family

Family of 3, one child. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, right on top of the beach. Drinks are strong and food at the A la Carte was incredible, buffet was as expected. Getting a lounge chair at the pool is next to impossible if you sleep in past 7 am. Loads of kids (so if only adults going, choose another resort). Overall a great experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: It wasnt what i expected

I was not pleased with my trip , from how rude the people at the restaurants at the resorts were , and not to mention the casino on the resort... the dealers would laugh in my face when I lost my money. The food was decent for the most part and the pools were ok. Too much seaweed . I will never go to punta cana again. The ocean is the only reason i went and it was filthy.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Fantastic resort!

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. The food was the absolute best I’ve ever had. The rooms were amazing as was our housekeeper. There are too many a la cartes to go to all of them in a week - but honestly one would be more than fine just going to the buffet. I’ve also never seen a beach have that many chairs! My daughter got quite sick and we had to see the on-site doctor who referred us immediately to the private hospital in Bavaro where we got excellent care (thank goo [... read more]dness we have insurance!). We tipped about $40 each throughout the week between the housekeeper and bar staff - they very much appreciated it. We will be recommending this place to others for sure!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Disappointed

The hotel and grounds are very nice, the complex itself is extremely large. We went here has a gift from our children to celebrate our 33rd Anniversary and was disappointed in the service and food. 1st of all the buffet was all outside and exposed to heat and birds, I experienced this twice before and both times I was very sick and never again would I go through that again, so we explored around and found an indoor a/c Buffett but we were not allowed in because it was part of the Amber section [... read more], so we spoke to front desk and only way we could eat in the a/c buffets was to stay in that section so we had to upgrade our room which we did costing us another 384.00, the service and food in that section was very good and we enjoyed it much better. Another point I would like to share is the beds....hard has a rock, I have back issues and let’s just say it was a joy to get back in my soft comfy bed Watch out for the times share we were mislead about the free bits and lost 2 1/2 hours of our time to this...I should of been smarter but I lost that battle...oh well learned my lesson

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Good

Everything are good except the food. Everyday food is same. The best restaurant is under the sea. the others are not good. The room condition is good but sometimes we got the really bad smells.Room service is fast.

Occidental Punta Cana: Good

We like the hotel especially staff are friendly but something needs to be improved. We booked for a à la carte restaurant but for booking line we were waiting 30 minutes. Any way we like to hotel thanks
