Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: This was the best vacation ever - A Fabulous Resort

The food was first rate. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and clean. We couldn't get over the comfortable surroundings. Always a comfortable chair or shade with a great cocktail available to help you enjoy yourself. Three pools to choose from and a very nice beach. Resort was immaculate. The property was really well maintained. The staff was incredible. Very friendly and attentive. We were both completely satisfied. We miss it already. We'd go back for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Totally Wonderful

Every moment from out arrival to departure was amazing. The staff, the cleanliness, the entertainment, the food-EVERYTHING was fantastic. Extremely friendly staff. They could practice their English just a bit more. But then I could also practice my Spanish. Another thing, I could only exchange for 10-$1.00 American dollars per day. Cayo Levantado Resort: When I win a Million!

When I win a million I will take my whole extended family to Levantado.! They would have so much fun, and be relaxed at the same time. We had rain, lots of it, very little sun but still had lots of fun. Where do I start. The staff are great, starting with our butler Leiny, who surprised us with a bubble bath, flowers and candles after a long sunny day at the beach. The pools were great, a quiet pool and another one accessed by stairs or an elevator at the beach, everything impeccable.. Activities all day long if you wanted it. The biggest cheers we heard was the Boce ball game players and winners.. they had a hoot. This resort had something for everyone. Oh I slept like a log every night.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very nice resort

Great resort, clean rooms and lobbies. Buffet food could have different selections daily and could be hotter, good overall tastes. Al a cart restaurants had good to amazing food. Gourmet restaurant had amazing steak, cooked to melt in your mouth perfection. Wifi was off and on. Power went out 2 to 3 times per day. Quiet pool had noisey nearby deisel engine running daily.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: 2nd Time Here, Will be a Third!

This is my second trip to the Esmeralda with my son. A great resort if you are traveling solo, with older offspring, and now it looks like it will be for the younger ones also. I can't say enough about this resort other than, if you do not enjoy this place, I do not know where you will go to find nicer staff, great food, incredible beach, and beautiful surroundings at such a reasonable price. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful expansive resort

The property has everything you would desire at an all inclusive resort. Very friendly people, delicious sumptuous food and lively entertainment. We also enjoyed the guided bicycle and eco tours. We are already planning another trip in June of this year.

This resort is amazing, the food is so fabulous, from the prawns, crabs lobsters, fish, fall off the bone chicken and wings, to the mouth watering beef. I cannot say enough about this resort. the California King size bed. The cleanliness of the rooms and resort. The grounds and gardeners they got us coconuts. They have trollys that take you around the resort from rooms to lobby or beach and they take you from one resort to another or shopping all for free. There's 4 resorts on the very secured grounds and they are all amazing I recommend all 4 of them for their great services, Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Akumal, Grand Bahia Principe Tulum , Grand Bahia Principe Coba and Grand Bahia Principe Sian Ka An.

The rooms were very comfortable, very clean, spacious and well serviced. The bed was very comfortable. The pool and other facilities were well maintained, clean and well manicured. Buffet restaurants served good food with a great selection. Service was a little spotty at times, but overall well done. The a la carte restaurants were great with excellent service and excellent food. Trolleybus Service also was very efficient. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Wonderful Relaxing Vacation

We travelled with WestJet vacations out of Hamilton. Our flight was delayed by 5 hours which was a big nuisance. The resort is beautiful. Large but perfectly fine. Food was excellent and beach was rough some days. The staff are friendly. Rooms could use some upgrading. We weren't able to get dinner reservations which was quite annoying. The towel cards are a little lame. No wifi in the rooms only in the lobby. Luckily for us we had read the reviews and purchased Bongo and it was great. The buffe [... read more]t was lovely. Lots of selection and food was cooked perfectly. I would classify this resort as a 4 star not a 5 for some small details noted above.

This is our fourth visit to a Bahia Principe Don Pablo resort in the last year. The Resort is what you would expect from Bahia Principe Don Pablo. We stayed April 15-22 and stayed in building 53. A few positives: - meals at the Brazilian and Don Pablo a la carte restaurants were amazing - rib eye and tenderloin (Brazilian) and duck (Don Pablo) were some of the best we've had anywhere - it is nice they have three pool areas - the quiet pool, the party pool and Jacuzzi pool right beside th [... read more]e beach - the grounds and rooms are really well maintained and clean - lots of lounges at the beach and pools and lots of shade protection A few negatives: - checkin was 1.5 hours late and they didn't seem to have the staff to handle room turnovers to make the 3 PM checkin time - Some staff are excellent but others are almost non communicative - they do run out of certain brands or liquors as well as mixes e.g. we could get cosmopolitans day 1 and 2 and then they ran out of cranberry juice and never had it re-stocked for the balance of our trip - Internet, although free, is 'iffy'. Download speed is only .7 Mbps and up is 25 Mbps - I would not recommend the seafood a la carte restaurant. The seafood is better at the buffet - Booking a la cartes was difficult when we visited. I'd recommend jumping on the wifi when you arrive and book the restaurants using the Bahia app - Power outages happen many times daily and only for about 60 seconds each time. The diesel generator is located near the quiet pool and ran for two pf the three days of our visit - it is loud and the fumes are unpleasant - public washroom toilets are sometimes plugged but that is because guests try to flush tissue rather and put it in the garage - the beach and ocean are fine but not the what you'd find in Punta Cana - just a heads up if you're a beach lover Overall, another positive Don Pablo experience with a few hiccups. I would return.

The grounds are well kept, the beach clean The rooms are actually like they look on line , nice and comfortable food was good, drinks were nice and cold the a la carte restaurant are excellent The staff was very helpful

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Another beautiful trip!!!

This is our fourth time at this resort (Grand Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar Blue) and as in other years our vacation was fantastic. The rooms at the Ambar Blue are older and definitely show some wear, but they are still very nice, comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed probably in the middle area of this resort which we requested earlier via an email to the resort as we knew there was construction on the one side and we didn't want to be affected by that. The staff are very friendly (they call us family), the food was great, the grounds including the beach are breath taking and we were very happy with our trip.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort

This was our second time at this resort. We love the Bahia Principe chain and even though this is an older resort it is a wonderful place to spend a week. The resort is very clean and they are constantly cleaning to keep it that way. The food is great and the gourmet restaurant is one of the best. The biggest thing that sticks out is the staff. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: wonderful trip

Had a relaxing, wonderful stay however the beach is only good for walking, not swimming, way to shallow, no waves and it is rocky in many places. Food is very good, rooms could use upgrades but overall service and expectations receives an excellent.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome

Stayed April 13 to 20th. Hotel is one of the best resorts i have stayed at. Food was fabulous. Stayed in penthouse; was fantastic. On the down side; they do play the towel game on beach and pool chairs. Mostly french canadians seem to be doing this. The smoking in lounging areas is just gross. Other than that; this place is gorgeous

Everything was wonderful, not too far from the airport , staff was very friendly well dressed and clean and helpful. The place was very well maintained beautiful looking and very clean food was amazing .

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: 5 night stay at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana

Beautiful beach, lots of pools, trolleys around all the time, delicious food, lots of restaurants and shopping on resort. Try the mamajuana shots, guacamole and the tepanyaki reatraunt! Clean washrooms, lots of sand cleaning showers available and big rooms. 2 problems - 1: one night around 930 pm our lock to our room broke and it took 2 hours to resolve the issue. 2: on checkout day we called for the bell boy (being the first villa: 15 min walk from the front desk) to come collect our lugg [... read more]age. After 40 mins no one came, so we called again. A total of an hour later and still no one. We tried to get on a regular trolley with our luggage and were told to get off. We ended up walking our luggage up to check out. Good thing we set lots of extra time aside! The worst thing was we saw several empty bellboy vehicles driving around the complex as we walked up. A suggestion would be to have more activities at the pool involving music. I found the fun and excitement didn't get started until the water aerobics around 3/4 as the music was up and a lot of people joined in. Overall a great place to stay for vacation!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

stayed April 12-19 (over Easter) BP resorts are well-oiled machines; cleanliness and physical beauty are their brand. The staff work tirelessly to keep everything from the grounds to the presentation of food looking picture perfect. They also try hard to create special experiences for their guests (e.g. sunset champagne party, gin and tonic bar, beach party, etc.). check-in: like other travellers, the construction situation caused us to be in a construction-facing room on our arrival night [... read more], but we were promptly switched to another room the next day. I felt like BP staff were genuinely trying to make the best of a bad situation. However, it would have been nice to be told this at check-in rather than have us return to the lobby. But since we were expecting a less than smooth check-in, we just rolled with it. Food: great variety (perhaps a bit too much at times as there appeared to be a lot of food waste), fresh, seasonal, tasty. Would have been great if the buffet food was a tad hotter, but it's a feat preparing so much food for so many people. Kudos to the staff for continuously filling our plates and glasses with such delicacies. A la cartes were fun. The apps at the Italian restaurant were particularly memorable -- so plentiful and delicious. I also enjoyed the desserts -- not the typical buffet butter tart/carrot cake/brownie fare, but unique, regionally inspired and not overly sweet desserts. Service: friendly and prompt; not the same standards that we expect in N.America, but considering the language barrier, the service was very good Tips for first-timers: bring your own thermal cups (good for your beer and the planet). The towel game is a real thing this time of year, however we were able to find beach spots in the shade by the time we switched from pool to beach mid-afternoon. The resort is not known for its entertainment (e.g. compared to the Hard Rock), but there is a night life -- head to the resort Village in the evening. The resort is big, but not impossible to get around. We jogged a nice 4 km loop most mornings. We tipped, but not all the time and did not feel that staff expected tips in exchange for service. Overall this resort will leave you happy, especially considering it is well below $2000 CAD. We will be back.
