Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Excellent resort Nice beach and amenities.

Most of the restaurants were very good the japanese and the orient express both excellent Buffet was very good. The beach was very clean and good for walking pool was large and clean. Staff on the most part were Excellent would return to this resort.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Most welcoming resort!

The hotel as well as its location is beautiful; the people so wonderful I miss them like old friends! Sander, Ramon, Ortiz, Elizabeth, Ivelisse, Jensel ,Orlando, Diana, Victor, Romeo... Other than missing stir sticks for coffee in the morning, and nightlights on the balcony and bathroom that don't go off (so you close the door and blackout drapes...) the rooms were very comfortable. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Very good resort

Grounds are very well kept as well as the public areas. Beautiful beach! Room was very nice and room service, excellent. Food was mediocre but could always find something good to eat. A la carte dinners were very good. Activity staff kept us well entertained, always something to do. Really enjoyed the rock show evening performance, super!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beatiful Resort food not so good

We were very pleased with the Hotel, room and the beaches. All were above expectations. However the food was terrible and the restaurants were no better except for the Japanese Restaurant. The room was always clean and Mara the maid was wonderful. The beaches were amazing and the Hotel grounds were immaculately maintained. I have been to Cuba many times and this is my first complaint about the food.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great resort!

I've only been to Cuba once before and this resort is leaps and bounds ahead of the one I stayed at previously. Great food, friendly service, very clean and bright rooms. The only negative thing was the room temperature hot tub, but who needs that when there's an ocean steps away?

Hotel Mojito: Poor maintence in public washrooms

Grounds were not the best but not bad. Food was good.Superior ROOM was the same as regular room not worth extra money .Public washrooms are deplorable most times no soap or toilet paper.Toilet would not flush even if we did not put paper in. We over tip but some staff appeared to take it for granted.We have been to cuba many times and the staff was always very greatfull.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing!!

This was my very first vacation so I can't compare but I had the time of my life!! everything from the food to the service was great!! I am already planning my next trip back to the same resort in puerto plata!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Bet nive

Wonderful beach, food, and drinks. Staff friendly- particularly if you tip. Hotel rooms very nice and grounds well kept. Evening shows ok- I thought better shows in Cuba. Shopping trip to Montego bay not worth it unless you like overpriced trinkets- things actually cheaper at hotel. Only disappointment- barely any Raggae music. Dunns waterfall trip- no guide- there is lots to see and do but the guided trip driver leaves you at the entrance with no guidance- ask lots of questions.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Pleasant resort, excellent staff

We stayed as a couple Feb 4, 2015 for 1 week. We were late arrivals with a small group, so check-in was quick. We were taken to an 8600 room, but it was somewhat musty and had double beds. I went back to the front desk with the Bell man. Within about 15 minutes we had a king bed, as ordered, in the 2400 building. Our 2nd floor King room was larger and recently renovated. The housekeepers did a fantastic job all week, and usually were done fairly early in the am. We had hot water, stocked fridge, [... read more] and clean sheets when requested. TV was kinda skimpy on the English channels, but we managed. Internet was fairly speedy, although we only used it a couple of days. The beach was coral, as we knew beforehand, so snorkeling was the entertainment. the beach was nice, shade plentiful, and rarely had problems locating a chair. Gaspar at the beach bar is a machine. He takes orders 2 or 3 drinks ahead and never stops giving. With the smaller resort, there is very little waiting in line. Bars, restaurants, front desk, etc. all handle the volume well. The entire staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. We ate in the steakhouse, and the Disco bar. The sirloin at the steakhouse was chewy, [was told after to order the tenderloin], and the steak in the disco was very good. Buffet food was fine, with a wide selection, but somewhat temperature challenged. We did the Polaris tour, the group was quite large, but it was fairly well organized. All in all a very nice hotel, and very pleased with our stay. slick

We had a wonderful stay at Iberostar Beaches. There were ongoing activities and you could be as active or as lazy as you wanted to be. The staff was amazing and the cleanliness of the whole resort was terrific, even the beach washroom was very very clean. I hope we can go back, very, very soon.

the staff is so friendly, the rooms are very clean ,constant maintenance on the grounds. We loved the food...especially the buffet which offered different things every day.. only thing wish we had had free internet even 10-15 minutes a day

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Second visit as good as the first!

It's smaller than most, clean albeit dated, staff were AMAZING and made our raining vacation very tolerable! Front desk staff very warm and friendly, check in was a breeze and the animation crew were awesome! We were very disappointed with the beach being littered with tons of garbage but assume after 3-4 days of heavy rain and wind that's bound to happen. Iberostar Waves Tucan: very nice place

Everything was good from the service to the food, good place to relax. The pool, beach, entrainment was all very good. Jesus the bar tender made the best margaritas to cool of from the sun. Enjoyed my stay.

Hotel Mojito: Ok resort

The staff were very friendly, beach was amazing however the rooms are very outdated, they were clean but lack working showers very old not working well. Lack of soap and toilet paper at lobby bar bathrooms and snack bar bathrooms, food was ok same almost very day but service was great. Needs renovations to bring up to bettet standards. Overall still had a great time.

We loved the size of the resort and it was easy to access all facilities of this hotel. There were plenty of beach chairs available. The entertainment staff and all the other staff services of this hotel was absolutely amazing. The restaurants offered plenty of food choices for everyone. We will certainly think about going back to this resort.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: A terrible holiday

I was ill most of the week and blame the food. It was more than disgusting. There was no real juice. Sugar water is not appealing or healthy. The platters were not always refilled and the same tired food appeared for several meals. The yogurt was so runny I couldn't eat it. One might a server dropped a lobster. Two cats were eating it. a half hour later it was picked up. My room was not properly cleaned. Towels were not replaced. One might I had only 1 sheet on my bed This was a horrible trip. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Great resort great staff great food

Everything is great except for the flintstone style bedrock beds. The staff gave us some foam to soften it which helped. Don't forget the sunscreen. They charge an arm and a leg on the resort The rooms are starting to show their age.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Welcome to Paradise!

The Iberostar Playa Mita is overall an amazing resort-beautiful grounds, amenities, beachfront and pool area, fresh and delicious food, and great service. I would recommend this hotel for 40+ crowd, as its mainly an older crowd and may not be the type of venue young singles are looking for. Theres the convenience of wifi all over the resort. Theres a fun and very authentically Mexican town "Sayulita" 15 minutes away that is great for surfers/or just a fun excursion away from the resort. My one a [... read more]nd only complaint about the resort is that things were stolen from our room-nobody entered my or my sisters room besides the cleaning staff and my sister had money stolen and I had a pair of pants and some toiletries taken (they must have rifled through our things because the stolen items were put away in drawers). They gave my sister a complimentary massage at the spa to compensate for her stolen money, however nothing was done to replace my stolen items-they never even got back to me despite saying they would within 24 hours. I am very disapointed with the Iberostar in this regard and would caution anyone going to this resort to ensure to lock up all valuables and don't leave any items in the room that you would be upset if they were stolen.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Fabulous

The grounds, the rooms, the service and the food! Absolutely fabulous. But the people were the greatest: sincere and truly interested in making your stay unforgettable. They want you to rate them as the best. And they absolutely were. My 3rd time in the DR and this is the place to return to!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort, great service, excellent food, clean rooms. The staff is always ready to help you with any of your needs. The only thing negative, the resort is very isolated and in my opinion the hotel should provide transportation for the different tows around, even for a fee, it gets extremely expensive to take a taxi to go anywhere. Besides that EXCELLENT!
