Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Hotel friendly atmosphere

The hotel facilities and service was pretty good, in particular our Room and the Gym, food was excellent I want to thank Luis M. For his excellent service at the beach and at the Hideaway’s El Dorado Restaurant

Whala Bavaro: Super Resort!

Staff are unbelievably friendly, very approachable. Our room was perfect and spotless. located right by the beach and has five different pools. Service at the snack bar was slow and difficult to get the attention of the worker but other than that there were no faults! Would definitely stay here again.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Not terrible but not great..

The hotel grounds, rooms and restaurants were gorgeous. It really feels like a luxurious resort. The buffet food was very hit or miss. The staff weren’t friendly at all. They only talked to you when they wanted to sell you something. There weren’t many activities to do during the day so the days seemed rather long. The beach was filled with seaweed along the shoreline which was very upsetting. The pool and splash pad was nice. The nightly shows were also hit or miss. Although I still had a good time (I went with 14 other family members and we made our own fun); based off the bad customer service, the unfriendly staff, the lack of daily activities and the seaweed filled beach- I wouldn’t go back. I’m glad I only did a 5 day vacation here.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Excellent quality vacations

The property is well maintained and the service is top number 1. Food was amazing because you have the opportunity to have a different restaurant every night. People are very helpful and always try to stay pleasant. We will definitely go back.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Good Family Resort

For a family with small children it was a good resort. First the pros. The newly built splash pad was definetely the highlight. Perfect for all ages. Very clean. The restaurant grill was very good. The kids club hosted a themed party every day at 3pm. The girls were very friendly and had great energy. The family side beachside room was spacious. It was nice to have the bunk beds. The hospitality was poor. The workers were not friendly and would not acknowledge you in a restaurant or anywhere else. Many of them looked miserable. Poor service. Would be waiting half hour for water or utensils. Second, the food was good at best. The french fries and hamburgers were ok. No pizza to be found. The best restaurant for our family was Mexican. Italian was great but adults only.Looked like allot of leftovers from previous day. Nightly entertainment was poor. The entertainment board was wrong. Evening shows were supposed to begin at 6 but did not start until 9. And by entertainment you are listening to a small band playing music. Be aware of time share schemes. Was called one morning and was told we had a VIP breakfast. 3 hours later....dont fall for it. Lots of seaweed on the beach and constant heckling of buying items. Overall it was a good resort but would not return again.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: wonderful vacation!!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel in Punta Cana, from the moment of our arrival all the staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Horrible

We did not have a good time. We were a group of 18 people that met up for a family reunion. My husband and I booked the trip with Sunwing and we were delayed. Our flight was supposed to be at 8am and we did not fly until 7:15 that night. We arrived at the Hotel at 12:10am and it took until 3am to get a room that we were able to breathe in. All the rooms they took us to were run down and smelled like mould. They finally told us to sleep in the last room they showed us because at this point everyo [... read more]ne was getting cranky and tired and that they would resolve the room in the morning. So the next day we were in the lobby to change our room. The person at the lobby told us to come back at 3pm becuase they were busy and that our room would be ready at that time. We came back at 3 to find that they took us back to the first room they booked us in upon arrival. At this point we were so angry!! 1 and a half days gone from my vacation already!! We finally got a room, very standard, after giving up and wasting time at around 5:00 in the evening. The hotel is very unorganized. They do not pass information along to the next shift to let them know there is a problem so you have to explain everything to each person!! Very frustrating when there is a language barrier. Next, the food is the same everyday, its so standard. The pool is very dirty and filled with sand at the bottom. Maintenance is very poor at this resort. We were looking forward to the beach to make up for everything else on our trip to find that the beach is awful and filled with seaweed and a brown color!! Towels were never available for swimming, they are always out and there is a huge line waiting for towels all the time. So many more things to mention, but I'm so fed up and glad my trip was over that I don't have time to type anymore. Plus our flight was also delayed coming home. We arrived at midnight and didnt get home until 1:30am and I had to work the next day!!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Very nice

This Resort was beautiful. Everyone that works there was so nice very hard workers. We felt safe no issues. The bar by the pool there is a awesome lady by the name of Sofia she’s so nice and amazing customer service so caring. There is a lot of bad things going on with this resort but honestly we felt safe I’m glad we didn’t cancel . This place has is worth your money for sure hands down .

Riu Republica: Our 1st Adult only all inclusive resort. It was excellent!!

We travel alot and go to at least 3 all inclusive resorts a year. Riu Republica is one of the best resorts we have been. We would recommend it to our friends because of the rooms, food, many pools, great sand and beach area and amazing and friendly staff!! We were at this resort from July 8th to 15th, 2019 and it was probably 35 to 40% full. Not sure I would want to be at this resort at high season, as it can hold a lot of people and there would be people everywhere and probably line ups a [... read more]t the buffets, etc. etc.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Very enjoyable trip

Hotel grounds, service, staff and overall quality of room was very good. Food selection and quality was superb. Fun nightly entertainment. Dance club, Casino, Kids clubs, even a indoor bowling alley is available. Very good value and would certainly recommend this hotel based on the experience our group of 10 had for a vacation.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Please don’t !

Meliá cribe was nice and pretty food was good , entertaining was cute . The only concern !!!! Somebody calls us and comes to our room to take us to somewhere called paradise and sales people were so pushy and took our time for our day to sell something very expensive called membership, so disrespectful to our precious time . One American person was unrespectful to our country Canada !!!!!!!!!!!!from sales teams . That’s so bad we didn’t know what they want from us at first place . Riu Republica: Nice resort

Resort was huge, very clean. Lots of walking but not really a bad thing. Great service. More geared towards younger travellers 20-35 years old. Food wasn’t the greatest. Sunwing worst company to travel with! Not a resort problem but a problem if you have to book through them. Delays upon delays. Absolutely ridiculous

Blau Natura Park Resort: Great Experience

The experience was amazing. The staff were very helpful and kind. Everything was easy to locate. Sunsets were fantastic. I wouldn't mind going back there in the future. The Magic show and the Micheal Jackson shows were both really good as well. Great performances

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great Resort

I had an amazing time at Be Live Collection. Most of the staff was helpful and courteous. The grounds were beautiful and staff were always cleaning. The room was clean and spacious. The food was amazing, by far the best part of the trip as I love food! There were a variety of restaurants but the buffets were my favourite. The only thing that really could’ve been better were the front desk staff they were at times not very helpful and somewhat rude.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Good resort

We had sach a good time in this resort, lots of fan. People was very nice and approached. Entertainment team was wery good and nice. Good food, and coffee. Specially man baked pizza every day. AC and fridge did not work in our room. Only thing that we didn’t like was sea grass. A lots of sea grass and bulldozers on the beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort!

I really liked the hotel. It was 7 pleasant days. I just did not like the excess of seaweed in the sea, it made me uncomfortable. The service with rare exceptions, was great. The room was the best that I have ever stayed in. All areas of the resort are well cleaned and the gardens are very well maintained.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Terrific staff and service

I stayed at Amber resort, actually transferred there from aquamarine. I found aquamarine to be better suited for the young 20’s vacationers and I wanted something quieter. Amber was awesome! Staff were amazing, friendly, and very accommodating! I felt very safe and worry free!

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great Resort!

Awesome and clean resort with nice luxury touches in rooms. Great food options and friendly staff. Small pools and nice beach area. Yoga near the beach and small but fine gym near the lobby. Love the cafe and dessert bar in the Lobby.

Occidental Punta Cana: Treated like Royalty

My husband and I just spent 10 days at The Occidental Punta Cana in the Royal section. We got private check in and out, and access to all the Royal ammenaties. The good, service, grounds and beach were amazing!!! Our only issues were with Air Transat, if we can book with a different airline, we will return again for sure!!

Ocean El Faro: Nice hotel, but lacking service and high pressure time share situations

We recently returned from our stay at Ocean El Faro . The hotel was very pretty and the décor felt luxurious . The layout of the whole location was done well - for such a large facility . Having said this ,I was surprised to find that there was as much wear and tare on the facility , as we seen , including a broken shower door in our room - and missing handles on the patio doors for entrance . The unfinished / unusable washrooms at the pool made it feel dirty - since there was no where for s [... read more]wimmers to relieve themselves. Unfortunately , until the hotel improves their service , I believe the return rate customer rate will be very low. General discussion with other vacationers confirmed this same sentiment . With the lack of service - , I would pass on this hotel ( hotel chain ) for any future bookings . It was very evident that because we did not speak Spanish , we did not get the same service, as some other visitors. We did experience a day at the buffet for breakfast that was missing plates , all drinks, glasses , many empty trays , along with long line ups for items. They do need to learn how to staff accordingly , which I expect is a learning curve of a new hotel . My suggestion to trip central - that there should be a notation made on the booking site - that this is a time share facility. There was a lot of constant pressure to attend meetings and tours , even with declining the invitation . It made it uncomfortable , trying to avoid different areas of the resort .
