1. Staff was not friendly 2. They were not accommodative 3. Same food for all meals and days 4. Drinks were very poor and service was below average 5. distinguished service between white and non-white race

Krystal Cancun: Was not worth what I paid.

I was booked with my sister to travel for two weeks. A week prior to our trip my sister's husband had to undergo a triple bypass. I contacted the sales agent asap as well as Sunwing who advised me I must cancel through the travel agent. After speaking to a couple of agents, it was not until 5 days later I was given the extra fee for single occupancy I would have to pay. The initial quote was given and then a day later I was told that this was an error and did not include taxes. It is my understa [... read more]nding that airfare cost must always include taxes according to law. Very disappointed in this booking. Myself and my sister are still waiting for her voucher to be sent since we purchased cancellation insurance.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Excellent resort for families

Azul Beach Resort was perfect for our family vacation. There is something for everyone. We were traveling with our 16 month old son, and all of our needs were met and expectations exceeded. We were given a crib for our hotel room, every restaurant had a highchair for our baby, he loved the pools and splash pad. The balcony faced the pools/ocean and the view was spectacular. We made use of the giant jacuzzi in the bedroom every night. The food was delicious, and we were able to try each a la carte restaurant. Each one was unique and tasty. I would definitely go back, especially when our son is a little older as they have tons of activities for kids aged 4-12.

Velas Vallarta: Only ok

This is a beautiful hotel and grounds area. The staff are fantastic. The location is good. The beach is not great and the ocean is to rough to swim in. Not enough loungers around the pool. The very bad part of our trip was the food at this plase is not good. My wife good food poisoning and was very sick for 2 days.

Crown Paradise Golden: Nice location and beach, nice pools, tolerable food and drinks, rooms in need of maintenance

The resort is a short drive from the airport and is situated along a beautiful stretch of beach. RESERVATIONS/CHECK-IN: My wife and I didn't get the room we booked when we checked in and were told we could switch to the room we booked the next day, but when we went the next day we were told there were no rooms available. We also heard stories from other guests that were told they didn't have a room at all when they showed up, and they were told they would have to find a room in another hote [... read more]l and were given brochures for other hotels. In what world could anybody possible think this is Ok ? FOOD/RESTAURANTS: The buffet was just Ok, the lowest quality we have seen in our many years of travelling to all-inclusive resorts. Service in the buffet was good. The reservation system for the restaurants was horrible. You have to make reservations online per room number and have to try to reserve right at 9:00am if you want to have any chance of getting in. You can only reserve for 2 people, so if you're in a group you will have to ask for a table together when you get there. The food was good in the restaurants and the snack bar by the poolside bar was not great but better than the buffet. Not a lot of effort was put into mixing drinks... they rarely tasted the same twice and were low quality. ROOMS: The rooms were OK. Even though we were in tower 3 which is the newest of the rooms, the rooms were broken down and dated. Our fridge and safe didn't work and never did get fixed during our stay, even though we informed the staff of the issues. We were there a week and had a lukewarm shower a couple of days, but it was hot the other days and was nice. POOLS/BEACH: The pools were nice. The swim-up bar on the 7th floor of tower 3 had a great view and was nice and warm. The main pool was pretty good... the water temp was a bit cool but not too bad. The filter panels around the pool were broken up a bit so it looked like it could use a little TLC. The only way to access the swim-up bar was to go up into the hot tub area. The beach area was very nice and seemed to be well kept up, but the constant parade of vendors selling sunglasses and hats and blankets got old pretty fast... the same vendors walked in circles asking us over and over if we wanted to buy something. Getting chairs on the beach or around the pool required you to get up by 4:00am to place your towels on them to reserve them, and hope that nobody stole your towels, which also happened to some people. The chairs go fast, so get out there early! STAFF: Overall the staff was fairly proficient and did what they could with what they were offering.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Absolutely PERFECT!

This is our 4th time returning to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. It is in a great location and only 30 mins from CANCUN airport and only another 30 mins to Playa Del Carmen, so of resort excursions are easily accessible. Every time we have been so very pleased with the whole resort. From the staff, to the food, the rooms, the gym, the shopping mall, the pools and especially the beach! Everything is perfect. Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Fantastic resort, fantastic staff

This was our second visit to the Blue Diamond. We chose of because it is a small, adults only resort. It is carved out of the rain forest and has amazing gardens. The food is fantastic and the staff are very attentive.

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta: Amazing Resort

I would seriously go back to this resort, very beautiful, and well maintained, the grounds,pools, and the whole atmosphere was amazing, the coffee shop is a must, the staff ladies are so nice,and go the mile to please you. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Lotsa laughs

Met lots of fun people, service was impeccable! Mostly Canadians, which was nice. The Mayan people are beautiful and super friendly. The golf was excellent! Would return in a heartbeat! Have nothing else to say!

Breathless Cancun Soul: Lovely resort

Loved this resort! The spa is gorgeous and we especially enjoyed the aquatherapy circuit. Rooms are beautiful: comfy bed and great view. We enjoyed all the restaurants, the buffet and " The Nest" coffee cafe. We did a day trip to Isla Mujeres and the resort was right next to where the boat docked, very convenient. Really enjoyed the pools ( ground floor pool was the perfect temperature) and the beach. Overall, an amazing time!

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Would expect better for a 4-star

The cleanliness wasn’t great. Unless you believe putting scented spray is cleaning. We had to call numerous times the front desk to get towels or toilet paper and it took several hours or days each time. The beach is not for swimming: rocks and weeds. The tv doesn’t have any channel working due to weak wifi. The food was okay, but even though it says they accommodate gluten allergies, the staff doesn’t have a clue what it means (milk? Sugar?) and there are not real options that are safe. T [... read more]hey won’t provide extra chairs for the beach and they are all taken at 7:00 am. Also left with traveller’s diarrhea. Not what I expected for the price.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very disappointing!

The resort was very dated and run down. The food was hit or miss and the drinks were about the same, we were able to find one or two food or drink that was good but nothing was consistent. The beach was unusable and never went to the ocean at all because of how dirty the water was. Turn down service was good but they never stocked the fridge or shampoos unless you were in the room and basically asked for them. We ordered room service once and it never arrived, first night around 6 pm we called m [... read more]ultiple times for cold water as our fridge was broken and we never received any! Calling front desk or 0 went to no where no matter when you call. The shop that sold clothings at the resort was biggest scammers. We went in one night to check things out and liked few things, we didn’t buy right away as we didn’t carry money with us, went back next morning, they changed the price on only the items we were interested in and removed the discount. Then we still wanted to buy them, I personally grabbed a bathing suit to try which had 50% off tag on the hanger and I confirmed it was 50% off as the worker was grabbing it for me, after trying them, I asked for another size to make sure. I took the 50% off one as they fit better to cashier and she told me now it’s not 50% and accused me of changing the tag sticker! Be aware of them.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Not as expected

Kind of disappointed with the service. No sea view room offered as given in the email. Service not as expected. Room keys not working very often. Bar servers not friendly. Would not recommend others friends.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: False advertising

The hotel has been divided into TWO separate hotels … so we had no adult pool … had to fight to get to use the pool but could not eat or drink on it , even though I was all inclusive … the hotel itself has been neglected ( have stayed there 20 times ) now it’s just dirty and uncared for … maids spend all their time behind their carts texting . Garbage in the hallways for days … the rooms are barely cleaned …dead plants …would NEVER go back . Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Overall ok

The hotel it self is nice. Do not get a mangrove facing room if you want to enjoy you balcony, the smell is not nice. Beds are super comfy. Buffett has been one of the best we have had. Drinks are premium. Beach is nice but had a lot of seaweed. If you’re a beach person like me it’s not the beach for you. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff were incredible and friendly.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Excellent resort for all age groups

This is a fantastic resort !! The grounds were beautiful and well kept, the pools were gorgeous and there were so many that you never had a sense them being crowed, lots of water areas for both kids and adults. There are so many things to do at this resort that you can’t possibly be bored and in our case may want to add a second week to your vacation in order to do everything. We had delicious meals at the five that we went to and I’m guessing the ones we didn’t try were equally good. We tried 5 different buffets and the all had lots of choices and a nice variety of food. Any staff that we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this resort and we intend on returning next year.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great Experience - again!

As before the resort is beautiful. The grounds, buildings, pools, and beach are very well maintained and clean. The seaweed issue is dealt with throughout each day to maintain access to the beach. Staff are wonderful and attentive and while there is quite a distance to some of the rooms and other amenities the ongoing shuttle service works very well.

Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Beautiful, clean and friendly resort

Elcid is one of the best resorts that we've ever stayed at. The staff are so friendly, kind and helpful there. The resort is very clean and well run. The food is amazing and there are so many options between room service, buffets at all the restaurants or a la carte for dinner (with reservation) and of course the amazing Mercado de Delores Market of Tastes. Basically an upscale food court Mexico style. So well done and so many options to choose from. There are still lots of precautionary  [... read more]COVID precautions in place with sanitizer everywhere and many of the staff wearing masks, so health and safety is important to El Cid. Lots of pool areas and a ton of loungers spread throughout the 3 areas of this growing resort. No shortage of activities for both kids and adults and the entertainment has greatly improved over the years, so kudos to El cid. Sadly, the sea weed issue did keep us from a walk along the beach, but El cid worked diligently to clean up the beach area daily. Sadly this problem is not limited to Mexico The only negative comment that I would like to add is that the road way to get into the resort is horrible with so many potholes and not being paved and no lights. We arrived late in the evening and our driver had to swerve many times to avoid the pot holes. For such a beautiful resort, the entrance is sub par. And with this unpaved road filled with potholes, it did not lend itself to a walk outside the resort.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Fantastic Peaceful Resort

The views are breath taking. Grounds are impeccable, and great food in the buffets. The bays are beautiful & full of tropical fish. We absolutely loved the grounds, catus everywhere. The staff are friendly and our room was always beyond well kept. Always lots of fresh towels at the beach and the pool. But for people with mobility issues this might not be the resort for them plenty of stairs considering Resort is built into the side of a mountain. Tesoro Ixtapa: Tesoro resort

Hotel grounds were well taken care of. The pool area and beach area was nice. Rooms had good ac and a nice view from the balcony. Wifi only worked on the balcony and it wasn’t great. The food was ok but a lot of things served in sauce and I found dental floss in a bun 🤢. You’re also only allowed 4 water bottles a day which is annoying.
