Melia Las Dunas: Resort has changed!
All staff was great! As for the hotel not so good! We were travelling with 30 other people and recommended this resort as we have been here 3 times before and had an excellent time.First we booked back in August and requested to be on a certain side of the resort that was accommodating for everyone with us, easy access to everything as some are a little older, When we arrived we were put on the far side at the very back of the resort when we asked they said that they were over booked and having [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Some Issues........
Hotel was clean, room was clean, pools clean, beach clean and beautiful..... Arrived at 11.30am did not get room until 6pm...... Most staff were very friendly, other than the Lobby/Front desk staff............. Long line ups at Lobby bar..... Washrooms....shortage or toilet paper and paper towels and some not working. Shortage of plates at buffet restaurant, had to wait most days for plate....and line ups for food..... 24 hr snack bar awful service food was 40min wait for snacks and drinks [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort
The grounds , public areas, rooms etc are kept very well and clean. The staff were very friendly and do everything to make sure you were happy. The food was good I'm sure well above average in Cuba standards. The evening shows in the lobby area were great every night. We had a wonderful relaxing week there
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Resort
We were very pleased with all aspects of the resort. We had a lovely clean room, the food was decent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The local bus into Varedero made for an interesting little excursion. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort.
Melia Las Antillas: Nice Adults Only Resort
I will start off with location great, grounds clean and well kept. Our room on 5th floor kept clean well stocked and great view. Concierge very helpful and go above and beyond.(Thank you Maylyn) The a la carte restuarants are fabulous. The buffet is good but repetitive. The beach is beautiful endless miles of white sand. Few local vendors selling wears but just say no and they leave you alone. The service is top notch the staff is there for you (they seem to be short of it in certain areas)They [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Melia Las Dunas Cayo Santa Maria
Grounds were very neat and tidy, food in buffet was mediocre , the al la carte were very bad with the exception of the Romantico. The buffet lineups were very long no matter what time you got there, the dishes were dirty and wet, the tables were not wiped after the previous people, just complete chaos. The rooms were very outdated and smelly. Sorry about the negative feedback, but this was the worst resort we have been to , and we are extensive travellers !
Melia Jardines del Rey: Very nice an clean
The staff was great. The foid was good. We were there last week and the resort was full. Although the staff was fantastic they coukd not keep up. They could use more staff to help during the busy season. I wouls go back and recommend it.
Sol Palmeras: Great Resort!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. It was clean, well maintained. Since my husband has a disability it was suitable and not to big. We stayed in the main building on the 4th floor, not in the bungalows. Lots of things going on poolside or at the beach. Beach bar and restaurant was nice to have. Lots of water activities. Live music most nights in the lobby. Several shows in the evening, however we were usually in our room before they started. Our maid (Naybine) was amazing!!!, Frank in [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: A great week!
Our family had a great time at Melia Las Dunas! Staff were all very friendly! Resort was beautiful with lots to do! Rooms looked exactly as they are pictured online. Restaurants requiring reservations were very accomidating for our group of 22. Thanks for a great week :)
Melia Jardines del Rey: Fabulous Resort!!!!!
We were there in November and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort, the rooms were extremely clean. The resort size was perfect for us, walking distance to the beach and pools. The food was excellent, always something to eat when you were hungry, there was a 24 hour area open. The beach was breathtaking. Entertainment was phenomenal, we had a blast with all the entertainers, they were fun and interactive, we participated every chance we had. We all knew them by name...Elier, Annie, Y [... read more]
Hotel Vigia: Downgrade
Used to be my favorite hotel for a couple years but now they change the beach is no good anymore, gravell on the Beach, food OK entertainment ok not going there anymore Room Service 👎bad...............
Sol Varadero Beach: false information
Food was good Staff is friendly Resort is not well maintained requires major refurbishing Cleanliness is a real issue towels, linen and dishes Superior Hotel room does not includes replenishment of mini bar or coo fee maker
Melia Jardines del Rey: Good with a few issues.
Travelled jan 3-10, 2017 on Sunwing for $1001 per person. Couple with teenage kid. Hotel is big. 1000 rooms. Lots of walking which wasn't too big of an issue for us. Pools are beautiful as is the beach. Resort was clean other than the pool washrooms. Urinals broken and not fixed all week. Food was good and bad. A-la-carts were awesome. Best I've had in my 4 trips to Cuba. Buffets were the typical Cuban affair. Desserts were good. Fruit was limited but veggies, cheese and cold meats were [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Melia Las Dunas
I found ALL the staff very pleasant and helpful; the maids, the drivers, the wait staff, the bar tenders, everyone! The grounds were well kept and that is coming from a former landscaper! Of course the beach was absolutely beautiful! The rooms and restaurants were very clean.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic resort
The hotel and beaches were beautiful, food was good with a good selection, the place as very clean and organized with many excursions and activities daily, we were very pleased with our experience there and how the staff treated us.
Melia Marina Varadero: trip got canceled
Unfortunately the airline canceled our trip and we could not re book as dates did not suit us. Very sad and we did not know that airlines could do that to people as we have traveled a lot and it never happened before. We were 4 families so no other seats in next 24 hours.
Paradisus Varadero: beautiful resort
The staff were awesome and friendly... food was average.... entertainment lacking in adult dancing etc...The beach was very nice with lots of room for chairs... the beach has lots of palm trees and kayaks and catamarans.. Weather was great.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Nice Family Resort
Melia Peninsula is a really nice resort to stay at, although our unit was in need of maintenance. There is a great pool / play area for kids. The beach is the highlight with the calm Caribbean waters. Paddle boats are free to use. Catamarans are available with a guide and will take you out to the reef on the horizon for a snorkel for 20 pesos per person. I would recommend this over the half day snorkel trip by bus. Scooters are also a available to rent at the resort, and we had a lot of [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Good Resort
Service was awesome! The hotel is what it is and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Tip: check out the bungalow upgrades! Ours was super close to the beach and central to everything on the resort.
