Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great

This was my first time in Cuba. It was overall great, though there was a bit that i did not like. I did enjoy going through the Varadero strip amd seeing all the different shops and restaurants. The beach was phenomenal as everyone says. The food was ok, not the greatest. Didn't like the time gap of the meals in the buffet restaurant.

Grand Memories Varadero: As expected it was great

I came back yesterday for a 4 days short Hollidays. I have no expectations when travelling to Cuba. I traveled to Cuba several times. Grand Memories Varadero was better than I expected. Room was very basic, and it was clean, the food was great. I usually don't eat a lot at the resort cause Im scared to get sick or don't like the taste, but this time I gained 4 pounds. Los Delfines: Islazul los Defines amazing resort

The staff was amazingly friendly. The A la carte was excellent and the rooms are clean. The hotel is in a great location with a great view. You can sit on the terrace overlooking the beach. Great place to enjoy the cuban culture. We have stayed here the last three years.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Average Resort -Not some where I would return to

The initial impression upon arrival was that the hotel would be the 5 star it was rated. In relation to other 5 star hotels I have been to....this is not; you have to pay for internet, you get one room key, you have to ask for basic things face cloth, toilet paper, tissue, water, no liquor in the rooms, strange beach towel exchange, want to charge for stolen/lost towel, no wait staff by the pool or beach etc. The room was outdated...I would say an upscale motel kind of feel. The grounds and po [... read more]ol area were well kept and the beach was wonderful Most of the staff was attentive and pleasant. However, a couple of the front desk staff were not. Not understanding the customer service piece. The other challenge that I will share is that from some guests and staff, the reception was not warm, lots of stares, no engagement...may have something to do with being a black group, the few black people on the resort (just saying)

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great times at Memories

Ok so I was a bit worried reading the reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised. Laura Marie at the main dining room was outstanding! Our room was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. We travel a lot mainly to St Maarten, Mexico and St Lucia but with safety issues we did Cuba and again very happy for a very reasonable price. Take what you read with a grain of salt, if you want a very fun place with lots of activity and great people give it a shot.

Melia Varadero: Good resort. Give it a 4star.

Hotel needs update. Food was not that great very bland. Japanese was the best. Grounds was well manicured. Our room has bed bugs. We were bitten. Workers were amazing and extremely helpful. Needs ramps for access to wheel chair. People with wheelchairs could not go to the beach. Booking a specialty restaurant was next to impossible. Overall we had a good time because I went with my kids and grand children.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great vacation

We had a great stay at the melia peninsula resort in varadero. Granted the hotel is in the process of renovations but our accomadations were great, the food at the buffet and the A la carte restaurants was really good. The best thing about the resort was the friendly staff.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Sun all week

Very large. 1km long. Kept nice. Watch for birds in the dining hall. Service good. Always pleasant, fresh fruit was great every meal. Didn’t go for the food. Went for the sunshine. ☀️ Beach was the best pat. Many pools to choose from.

Paradisus Varadero: “Kind regards” to eliana Anton

Hello.. so I bought the tickets from eliana Anton , which I was dissapointed with. First of all, her name sounds pure Romanian - just like mine- but she was denying her background. I requested king bed , but at the resort I was given 2 doubles attached to each other. Eliana made me understand that what I booked for was 5 stars hotel but really, was just 4. The royal service it was 5 stars. Mischieving I felt from her part.

Grand Memories Varadero: Nice weather, bad food

Nice hotel with nice staff, very bad food. This hotel is very average for the price but the beach is nice. The room was dirty, the bed dirty and the washroom was dirty. The coffee machine was dirty. The rhum was very good!

Playa Vista Azul: Fabulous winter getaway

Beautiful and clean resort that made for a perfect extended weekend getaway. The Ocean Vista Azul was everything we had hoped for. Beautiful resort, clean rooms, polite and gracious staff and outstanding views. The only issue we had was with Air Canada as we were delayed 3 hours due to things that were completely within their control. Obviously delays happen due to unforseeable circumstances, but these were silly personal issues that delayed and impacted our trip. Barcelo Solymar: Great depending on your expectations

Resort was well kept. Staff were friendly. Our room was run down but kept clean. Ceilings were leaking from the AC units. Beaches were beautiful. The food is what you would expect in Cuba. Would go back if the price was right. Nothing I wasn't expecting.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Very Nice Resort

We booked Prestige Swim Out and were not disappointed. We were originally in 10037 however the sun did not hit the pool/room until after 2 pm so we asked to be moved to another room. We were moved to room 10028 which was perfect for location and sun. The hotel, our room, the grounds, beach are very clean and well maintained. The people who work there are very welcoming and accommodating. The Service from the front desk to housekeeping, dinning, entertainment experience to ground [... read more]s keepers all made for an enjoyable vacation. We are already planning next year for 2 weeks. Others did have issues with hot water and flooding which was not in our building. We have to understand that Cuba does not have the resources of our country and under the circumstances they handled these issues very well using the resources that they had. This was the BEST! we have experienced in Cuba.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: The Resort was ok...

the pools were great and awesome beach but 3 out of 4 treadmills were broken. The food here were the worst I've ever had, and this was my 6th trip to Cuba. We couldn't a good breakfast (no pancakes). It was the same kind of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort for sure

My husband and I travelled to this resort from feb 1-8 2019. We have never been to this resort but been to Cuba many many times. We had a very pleasant stay. We booked an oceanview room which was very nice. Our beds were so soft and comfortable, the pillows were also very nice other than I find them huge as they are double size, but still very soft. So we were pleasantly surprised at the great beds and pillows at this place. Our fridge was topped up daily and we always got a big bottle of water which was great. Our room was nice and clean along with the whole resort. Gardeners are doing a beautiful job at keeping the place looking fabulous. The food was good. Lots to pick from at the buffet. We booked the steak el- cart one and the steak was so tender and done perfect. Usually I order medium rare but I feel they don’t cook the meat long enough so we ordered them med well and they were perfect. Very tasty too The staff was all very polite and happy to help you. The beaches of course are always great. Nice sand in this are. There was lots of lounge chairs and Palapas to get some shade if you wanted too. The beach in this area was very large so lots of room. There was never any seaweed on the beach either. We had perfect weather everyday. Not a drop of rain , sunny and temp in the 82* range. We don’t sit around the pool but lots of room there as well and the pools were sparkling clean so well taken care of. The pool had the betterloingeea which isn’t really fair aa we don’t sit at pool. So we had the hard loungers. I don’t have anything bad to say about the resort except it could use more sitting places in the lobby area and also cut the smoking insidecopletely out. There was lots of places out side to smoke and lots of chairs. I think they are trying to stop the smoking inside as they don’t have ashtrays but people still sat inside and smoked and they would put ashes on the floors. Which is extremely rude. I couldn’t believe people actually do this. I felt bad for the people working there who had to clean up after them. Other than that the resort was wonderful and we would consider going back again. They had some very good entertainment every night for an hour. The preformers did a great job. We really like the romantic night and the rock and roll bands. Lots of entertainment going on all day as well. Great resort I defiantly recommend this place.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Smokers Resort

If you are nonsmoker do not go to this resort. It's small resort no lineups people are nice food is okay same everyday. Entertainment was not not that great. Beautiful beach just got back. It was very cold so make sure you take sweaters for the evening. Give gifts like clothing to the maid and chef and they will do anything for you.Cubans are beautiful people but go 5 star at Cuba. I nspite of all this we had fun and enjoyed the beautiful Cuban beach must go.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Hôtel à recommander

Nous avons séjourné au Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero au mois de janvier 2019. Pour cet hôtel, réservés aux adultes seulement, nous n’avons pas de commentaire négatif. Nous avons été à Cuba 10 fois, séjournés dans des hôtels différents, et celui-ci était certainement l'un de nos favoris. Nous avons adoré Militza, elle était merveilleuse. Elle a pris soin de toutes nos réservations de dîner et si nous avions besoin de quelque chose, elle était toujours là et était rapide à répondre. Excellent service ! Nous avons fréquenté le Restaurant Ave del Paraiso pour la plupart du temps. Nous avons été très impressionnés de rencontrer Karl, le gérant de ce restaurant qui était là tous les jours, travaillant de très longues heures pour s'assurer que tout était parfait pour les clients. Bravo pour son dévouement et son équipe (Yessica, entre autres)!! L’équipe de barmans au Lounge Bar, ouvert 24 h/24, avec Jesus et Yuniel étaient super, ainsi que divertissement et de la musique live tous les soirs qui était fantastique. La soirée «Nuit Romantique» par Oswaldo Consuegra Suri et Ariel Mestre Silva était particulièrement bonne. Une expérience au restaurant La Orquidea (Gourmet à la carte) situé au Grand Memories Varadero était également positive avec une service très professionnelle et bonne de Roberto. Nous étions aussi très bien accueillis à plusieurs reprises au Mariposa (Lobby Bar) situé au Grand Memories Varadero par un joli couple Liliana Guerra et Eliecer Companioni. Ils nous ont toujours données des informations dont nous avions besoin, ils font tout pour que vous soyez les bienvenus. Alors, pour terminer le commentaire sur notre séjour à cet hôtel, il est important de mentionner que tout le personnel et l'équipe d'animation de Sanctuary at Grand Memories étaient géniaux. En ajoutant les belles plages, la nourriture avec beaucoup de choix et beaucoup d’imaginations de la création de chaque assiette d’un chef de cuisine (Italien) et un excellent gérant du restaurant (Allemagne), un personnel si dévoué et amical, vous n’avez que d’avoir un séjour spécial et parfait. On y retourne.

Melia Las Antillas: Beautiful Resort

The room,staff were excellent and the food was the best we've had in Cuba. Loved the beach and the pool. The only bad part was that the music with the entertainment was much to loud. It was so loud that it came to a point that we couldn't hear or understand the proformer. It does not need to be so loud. The guest are not far away from the stages. Louder is not better. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing beach

Hotel was beautiful. The beach was amazing. Food so so. It’s Cuba. Weather was great. Hotter everyday. Our maid was awesome. The resort was very clean and has well established gardens. Very beautiful.

Starfish Varadero: Such an improvement!

Been 3 times 7 years ago when it was Aguas azules. And it was pathetic. Such an improvement. The food was amazing the a la carte and the service exceptionnel. Pay the extra for the bungalow its worth it! By the way Heather is our rep at trip central... and She is the best.
