Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort

Been to cuba 20 times , and have gone to 12 deferent hotels in Varadero . I was with a group of 13 people. . Everyone was happy with the resort. The food, rooms, pool and beach were all very good. I like to thank Guest services and the manager for making our trip very memorable.

Roc Barlovento: Real Cuban Experience

Down to earth atmosphere at this resort. Friendly accommodating staff. Simple but well maintained grounds. Pools nice but jacuzzi was out of order in one of the pools. Room nice but lack of hot water for shower.

Playa Caleta: good cheap affordable

my day started off to Toronto airport we got on the plane only to delayed 3 hours thanks air transit again got there only they lost my luggage at veradero airport but overall my stay at this resort was fine been to many places in cuda this was fine for the price but I find the older people from Russia rude cutting in lines but the younger generation were pleasant and respectful of others in the line up for buffet as for resort they tried to make you feel comfortable at all times yes there stil [... read more]l working around this resort to clean it up all I can say is try to make the best of it no matter what

Club Kawama: Home away from home

This was my 3rd trip to Cuba in the past 9 months and I am so glad I picked Club Kawama this time. I have finally found my home away from home. I enjoyed every part of my 14 days there, the beach, pools, staff, entertainment, food, and room were all above what I was expecting and prepared for. I will absolutely return to Club Kawama for all of my future visits to Cuba.

Palma Real: 4th time to that resort no problems

I havent anything bad to say. Everything was OK to Great for me . The grounds were well kept The pools were clean. The beach is great . Didnt have to wait at the bars for drinks. I found all the staff at the resort friendly .

Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful beach, food less than satisfactory

I have lower expectations for Cuba having been there 8 years ago. It took multiple calls to multiple people to get my sink stopper fixed. I wonder how many of the big shots at Melia are sleeping on pillows ? made up of a few layers of quilt batting ! Beautiful location, friendly staff, I just don't think they get support from corporate. Food poor at buffet, a la carte restaurants good. Resonance Blu Varadero: Good resort

large resort with a beautiful beach and great pools. The staff treat you very well and like to ensure you are satisfied. The food is mediocre but they do have quite a bit of variety. Rooms are a good size.

Hotel Los Cactus: Great value!

Great value for price paid! Clean grounds, beach and mostly friendly staff, coffee bar was great! Not a far walk to beach and the beach grill was amazing! Plenty of space, nightly shows were good but could have been better. We did have to switch rooms due to baby ants but were moved to a better room.

Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful resort!

It is a beautiful spot and well maintained ground. Room is clean although it is not brand-new. Service staff is well trained. Sunwing's on site rep is exceptionally good. Unfortunately, the food is almost uneatable. We realized that it has more to do with the general condition of the country; it is difficult for any chef to cook with non-fine-milled flours, rough rice and no fresh vegetable except cabbage and carrots. Cubans are very warm, nice and happy people.

Palma Real: amazing

Perfect for us. Great location , staff is helpful. Food is great - we recommend this hotel to others - this is our second time at this hotel - the best building is number 3 - it is close to the pools - buffet ' main lobby

Club Tropical: LOVE LOVE CUBA

Wish I was doing a review, but unfortunately the plane left Jan. 30 with out me as I was too sick to go, learned an expensive lesson, ALWAYS BUY CANCELLATION INSURANCE, looking forward to my next trip to Cuba and booking with Trip Central........

Sol Palmeras: Amazing Resort

Never dissapointed at Sol Palmeras, the layout is perfect east to het around. The gardens are beautiful constantly being cared for. The pools are cleaned and cared for all day long. The beach is stunning and the sand is silky for your walks. In my opinion the best ala Carter’s were the Italian and Chinese, I was disappointed that the seafood and steakhouse were not open. Mar Del Sur: My second home

Staff is the best! There the reason I always go back to mar del Sur ! From the receptionist to the bartenders to the wonderful cleaning ladies and the butlers ! It’s family away from home! The pool always has entertainment if it’s not music playing during the day then there is some type of game!! Keeps your day busy! Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing resort!

The Sanctuary is beautiful. The food was very good, particularly the restaurant in the Sanctuary. The beach was pristine. The staff were gracious and lovely. Overall, a wonderful vacation. We would definitely go back.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fun and relaxing

Big enough so that if you want fun, you can have it...if you want peace and quiet, you can have that too. Room was clean, most things worked well, housekeeping was wonderful. Food, you don't go to Cuba for the food. It was good enough. The specialty restaurants were a bit of a let down, especially for a vegetarian. Learned to ask questions about exchange rates then was treated fairly after that. I like to tip well but hate being cheated. Nothing to do with the resort but the Custom's Agent at the airport was over the top mean....seething with anger actually, made me want to leave Cuba asap. Not sure why they think harassing travelers like that is good for their tourist industry. .

Blau Varadero: Had an absolute blast!

I loved this hotel, the front desk staff were friendly as well as helpful. The nightly entertainment was great. I enjoyed the circus and the magic show , they were terrific. I enjoyed the food selection at all the restaurants. The staff made you feel like old friends and family every time you saw them. I wish I could have stayed longer. I am missing everyone and everything.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Had A Great Time at the Iberostar Laguna Azul

This hotel is in a great location,close to town of varadero to explore or get something good to eat.There is a lot of shops for all your souvenir needs.We traveled from Jan 28 through Feb 5 and the weather was fantastic.I went shore fishing every morning and caught fish everyday.If you go to the buffet and ask head chef for bait he will gladly give you some.A tip goes along way.The resort is laid out very well with all the a la carte restaurants in one location.The food was average in buffet,I h [... read more]ighly recommend the Japanese restaurant,they cook it right in front of you very cool.The rooms are big a well appointed you have everything you need(a little dated)but beds are comfy and pillows were great.The pools were kept very clean,workers cleaning every morning.All the wait staff where friendly and always smiling.We did not go on excursion as I have been to Cuba more then 25 times,I rent a scooter for the week and go exploring myself.As for the currency exchange it was horrible at the resort (100 Canadian for 69 cuc ).If you goto the American Mall down the road the exchange was much better (100 canadian for 73 cuc).They have a double decker bus that tours varadero and resorts,it costs 5 cuc for all day pass well worth the money.The grounds were well appointed and kept very clean.There was no bugs the whole week.Overall experience I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.If you have any questions please contact my email.Thanks for ready Scott

Muthu Playa Varadero: Very good!

The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and nice, the outdoor area was very beautiful and colourful. I loved the live band every night! Atmosphere was very good. I will be happy to go back to Muthu again!

Resonance Blu Varadero: GREAT RESORT

FOOD WAS BETTER THAN MOST IN CUBA. NIGHTLIFE IS VERY LOUD AND GOES UNTIL 130AM MIN. IT IS A PARTY ATMOSPHERE AT NIGHT. RESORT WAS WE MAINTAINED. WE HAD A RECENTLY UPGRADED ROOM WITH WAS IN GREAT SHAPE.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Still liked it

It still felt comfortable and welcoming. Previously there December, 2017. Food seemed to be even better. Also the entertainment was good. Staff were grateful for gifts of clothes and misc. gifts. It will now be our 'go to' place in Cuba in future
