Catalonia Royal Bavaro: 50th Birthday Trip

Group of 20. hotel was over booked, 2 couples sent to the « old section »(one room no hot water and the other the roof was leaking). 1 night became 2 nights as I had to go fight to have them relocated to the correct rooms. Overall resort is very clean and quiet. Easy Access to the other resort amenities. Do NOT deal with Nicole Deforest at TripCentra doesn’t respond promptly (unless 3-5 days is acceptable). Bad Bad service.

Ocean El Faro: 9 day stay in Punta Cana

Hotel located 1 hour away from the Punta Cana Airport. Grounds are well maintained with lush greenery. Hotel lobby is the most impressive space on the resort. While rooms are nicely decorated, on closer inspection they are a bit tired (chipped tiles, missing grout, caulking in sink worn off) considering how old the resort is. Daily housekeeping was not thorough as I’ve seen at other resorts (e.g. floors not swept well). Food at the Privilege lounge was best, found the buffet lacked variety and [... read more] a la carte restaurants were mediocre (slow service, food not much better than the buffet). Privilege area beach service was great though the area is not in a prime stretch of beach on the property and seaweed is not raked/hauled away from it as is it on the remainder of the property. Overall we visited for sun and sand and had a pleasant time, would consider the stay to be a value pick. 3.5 stars

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: You Get What You Pay For

The resort is not running at what it once did, only 1 a-la-cart (they used to have 3). The buffet had limited selection. The rooms are not updated, and our plumbing was an issue, the patio doors don’t close in the room either. Night life is okay, the entertainment staff really work hard and did a great job. This resort was at one time very beautiful, just a little rundown now. Security was always present, which was nice.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: It Doesn’t Get any Better

This was our first time at Majestic Mirage but definitely not our last. We are already planning our next visit. From arrival to the departure it was nothing but extraordinary. Samuel our butler was fantastic. With lots of surprises. Allen in the lobby bar made drinks like no one else at the resort. Our swim out room was spectacular. The dining was perfect. Not one thing to complain about. Can’t wait to return.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Not what i was expecting

Overall i give it a 4 out of 10 Got really sick off the food. Rooms where terrible Mold in the showers. The beach itself wasnt clean. Not a picky person but i was expecting a little more for the money i spent. Would not recommend anyone to visit this resort. I'm trying to find something nice to say but i just cant.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Worst vacation anyone could have for first time.

The resort was dirty. Prisons have cleaner jail cells than the rooms we stayed in. Beach was disgusting, we have nicer beaches in Ontario, Canada! Beach is filled with rocks split my toe open on a boulder. Food was gross, have felt sick since I ate the food and have been puking and shitting since I got home. We were dropped off on road and told to walk to hotel. Maid stole out of our room. Could never get a spot at pool as people would claim their spots at 6Am and never sat at claimed seats. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: DISGUSTING

WHEN YOU READ THE BAD REVIEWS FOR THIS RESORT .. listen to them and RUUUNNN THIS PLACE RUINED MY FAMILY VACATION! We all came home sick the dirtiest resort we have been to the staff DO NOT do their jobs the locals take over on weekend leaving now food!!! The beach is a swamp I mean I have seen better swamps!!!! Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: BEWARE OF THIS REAORT

RESORT: 1.5 BEACH 0 Cleanliness 0 FOOD well we all came home sick and had diarrhea for a week so ZERO Dropped off in the street told to walk to hotel Beggars Locals HUGE MISTAKE AWEFUL PLACE !!!!!!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great place

Well maintained. Nice people. Nice beach. Very nice property. I will definitely go back there again. The food was good. A lot of choice. The weather was excellent. A nice resort ☺️ Thanks

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: It looked promising!

Hotel grounds: Beautiful! Well kept, clean! However, EVERYTHING is digital. You need a phone for everything! Menus in restaurants are available only by QR code!!!! Wifi is spotty at best. Hotel team shrugs when it isn’t working. Food: meh, not great. Buffet was ok, extremely noisy - I think it’s just the acoustics. Disruptively loud. A la carte Restaurants are terrible. The minute you sit down, someone is approaching. Tour operators: Literally, they disappear!! Hotel has no information to help. Good luck getting any info! Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great trip !

The Grand Palladium was pretty much everything we could ask for. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people and beautiful facilities. Very good food especially the a la cartes. Many excursions were also offered.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing and very clean resort ..

Very, very clean in all areas . Food at the main buffet was excellent . Hotel rooms were a little dated , but very well kept and clean . The grounds were very well kept , as were the pathways . The transit system was amazing from main lobby to beach area . Would like to say that the Transat person on site was extremely unhelpful .

Occidental Punta Cana: Great home away from home

Clean and spacious rooms. Wifi free for all. Food was good, and plenty of it. Wish they had bacon. The specialty dinners could use a little help and better organizing. Beautiful, clean beaches. Overall, great home away from home. Will definitely be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia Principe Grand in Punta Cana

Grounds were exceptional, customer service on the other hand not so much. No internet service in our room and very sporadic around the pool or in the main lobby. Also the phone in our room did not work during our stay even though numerous complaints at the main lobby.

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful beach!

The beach was beautiful and you could walk for at least an hour in either direction. The grounds at Occidental were immaculate, the pools clean but very shallow, the beach chairs comfortable, the rooms comfy & clean, the wifi consistently good around the property, the buffet food tasty (if a little repetitive), the variety of a la carte restaurants was good with food that was a notch better than the buffets. Not as many day-time bars as other properties I've been to, so there were always line- [... read more]ups/waits to get drinks. Thankfully, the loud evening entertainment didn't go too late!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice stay...

Older hotel with beautiful grounds and beach. Rooms are dated but clean and functional. Food was good at buffet but the a la cartes were very good 👍 pool area was very noisy most of the time but plenty of seating available. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Good Resort

Last week of Nov. 2022. Arrived at the resort late afternoon and were informed our rooms (3) were not ready. They provided temporary rooms until the next day. The staff were very professional and courteous and tried to please us as best they can, but it was not a good start to our vacation. Otherwise, the resort seems to draw an older demographic which keeps things toned down which is what we like. The food was very good. No seaweed on the beach. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort!

This was our 5th time at the Ambar and it did not disappoint. We had an amazing time! The grounds are beautiful. The renovated rooms are refreshing and very clean. The food and drinks were great. All the a la cartes were delicious! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Most days the beach was clear of sargassum, and on the days it wasn’t, they worked tirelessly to keep it clean. Ww will definitely return and recommend.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: We had a Great Time!

We recently got back from a two week stay (Nov 14- 28th) at Sunscape. My first impression on entering the Sun Club for registration was not great, building looks very old. We were registered fast and very friendly, then taken by a little cart to our room. Our room was lovely, great location, ground floor, terrace, and super clean! The grounds are gorgeous, the buildings are older but you can see they are doing all they can to dress them up. They were starting to paint the one pool when we  [... read more]left. We thought the food was great! Lots to choose from , and varied every day. Perfect size resort. The drinks in the Sun club part were awesome, the other bars were okay as well. The biggest thing I would like to say was that everyone who worked there was so friendly, I mean genuine, not fake friendly. We have stayed in the DR many times, mostly Punta Cana, and five star, and the people they have hired make the resort one of the best. It was one of our better vacations, and Air Transat was good as well. Entertainment was not really very good, not much to do that way. The beach was beautiful. We would stay again.

Riu Palace Macao: Wonderful

Everything was great Rooms are a bit outdated Our internet on our tv stopped working halfway into our stay and nobody could fix it Although they gave it a good try Otherwise happy with everything I was really disappointed with Sunwing Airline Having to transfer to another terminal was a pain
