Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Exceptional!

We stayed for 10 days and were so happy with our vacation. The grounds and beach are impeccable, the food was delicious and the staff are exceptional! We specifically enjoyed the amazing service from Lilly and Packo at the main buffet area.

Crown Paradise Club: Nice Resort

The children's park and play area was amazing, but green areas were lacking at the resort. Most of the resort is concrete. Staff were absolutely stellar and did all that they could to assist us. Room cleaning was somewhat lacking. We removed the sheets on our beds after six days so that they would be changed. We do understand saving water is very important and we did reuse our towels for several days to help out. Booking specialty restaurants was not efficient. At exactly 9:01 the entire hotel [... read more] was using the QR code attempting to book a restaurant. The buffet restaurant offered a lot of variety and the three specialty restaurants on the Club side of the resort were excellent. We had access to the adult side as well and the specialty restaurants on that side were sadly lacking. The Club side of the resort is much, much nicer than the adult side.

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid: Excellent timr

Travelled to Ventus ha as a single woman with two kids. We felt exceptionally safe. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Hotel was clean and modern. We enjoyed the smaller solid this resort complex.’it was never too busy and by boys often in the large pool with less then five people. Seems to cater to young families amd older adults, which was perfect for us.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Amazing resort !

This was the best resort we’ve ever been to . It was beautiful spacious and clean . Everything was perfect from the food to the rooms and the beach , we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat ! Just don’t fly with Sunwing , they almost ruined it for us

Secrets Huatulco: We will definitely be going back

Great place. Very clean. Great service. Friendly staff. The food and drinks were lovely. The views are amazing. Lots to do but never felt like there was too many people. We went as a group of 22 people and enjoyed every minute of it

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Very nice place

The staff were excellent and always very helpful The beach area was maintained steady from seaweed There were many pool areas to swim but they weren’t very big pools but otherwise the whole place was well maintained The food was always great I found the Italian Alacarte restaurant was the best There wasn’t much this place didn’t have Rooms were clean and fridge was always restocked regularly They also have room service but we never used it I would definately go back

Riu Cancun: Amazing views, wonderful food

We really enjoyed our recent vacation at Riu Cancun, the hotel was clean , beach was beautiful , the waves are quite big not suitable to small children immediately in front of hotel , but at Riu palace next door their waterfront is a little more sheltered and calm . The staff and food were awesome, I’m sure we gained some weight. The drinks were good but maybe diluted a bit , never really got wasted . But if you want to be active there is lots close by , everything from night clubs to island hoping .

Riu Cancun: Very nice resort

The RIU Cancun was a very nice hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. It is a little dated but not a problem. The food was pretty good…not outstanding but not awful by any means. There was not a designated snack shack outdoors. You could get hotdogs and burgers in the buffet during specific times. The only real complaint I have is that there is a relatively small bank of elevators for a large hotel. As with many resorts, lounge chair space around the pool was at a premium. Early bird ca [... read more]tches the worm. Good location with shopping close by. Beach was beautiful. Quiet pool area was very nice. We did not even realize there was another pool and beach area for a few days into our trip. I would recommend this hotel for a Cancún getaway if you don’t need a first class, super expensive hotel. Age group seemed to be 20 - 60’s.

Canto Del Sol: We will Return!

This is our second stay at Canto. We would not hesitate to return again. The staff over all are really good and a few go way over and above and treat you like family. We met several guests who have been going there for years and plan to go back next year. We had an issue with the faucet in the bathroom and it was addressed right away. It became an issue again and again it was fixed right away and was fine for the rest of our stay. The 3 pools were open as well as all 8 restaurants and all were busy. We appreciated the selections that gave us. When we look for a vacation to PV we compare everything to Canto and unless prices there severely increase compared to other places, we will definitely return. Note that the pools were great. It is on the beach but the Pacific is quite rough and space on the beach is limited. For us it is a good beach to walk but not to swim.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Ocean Coral

Nice resort, clean, good sized rooms, great daily housekeeping. Our bathroom sink was plugged when we got there, called reception, but no one showed up. Next day called again, this time telling them it was running over (which it was not but could have been if we used it for another 5 minutes)., they showed up right away. We were using the hide a bed in the room. but it did not have bedding, this also took 3 calls to get bedding. There are not enough lounge chairs around the pools for the amount of people at the hotel, If you have kids and are staying at the kid pool there is lots of chairs there and hardly any people, but you are far from everything else and bar service is not great there. Most staff are very friendly, helpful and polite, EXCEPT at the check in counter, customer service areas. The staff there are rude, they just want to sell you an upgrade. They are nothing more that salesmen wanting to nickel and dime you to death. They will try to force you to book trips with them, buy the upgrade packages, waste you time on tours of the resort etc. Our group was very turned off by the staff here, one of the reasons we would not go back to this line of hotels. Booking of restaurants very hard to do. You must use their website, lucky a few people in our group brought their cell phones. We normally don't travel with ours as it is too expense outside of Canada. There is two websites (?) to book restaurants through, one works better than the other. Booking opens at 9 every day and is full by 9:10. So you need it be paying attention to time, and you can only book for that day. THAT IS UNLESS YOU PAID FOR ONE OF THOSE UPGRADES they are trying to sell you. Which I think was an extra $30 per day for everyone in your group. Then you can book for the whole time you are there in advance. The beach is narrow, lots of seaweed, they try to clean up everyday. Not the resort fault as all hotels along the beach seem to have the same issue.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is one of the best I've been to. The room was clean and grounds kept immaculate. When it came to dining there was lots to choose from and the restaurants were excellent. Travelled with my daughter's family with two young children and there was a great assortment of food for them to eat. Their Kids Club is great...the ladies running it are patient and great with the children. Every night they performed plays with the children in their care for that day in the theatre. ( Moana, Froz [... read more]en etc.) Entertainment at the pool each day was also very good! The only draw back is the long bus drive to the resort. I would definitely go back.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Pretty nice set up.

Lots of activities both on and off resort. The rooms need a bit of attention but I noticed that they have maintenance around all the time/full time. The grounds were kept immaculate and it seemed like someone was always working at making certain they remained as such. Many restaurants to choose from some with takeout. Our concierge was amazing - Irvin was his name and he was like a machine the way he made things happen. I was somewhat disappointed with breakfast service when ordered to the  [... read more]room. The only thing that was ordered that was enjoyable was the fruit/cheese plate everything else was either soggy (French Toast), cold (Eggs) or inedible. The only noticeable adjustment regarding COVID was that when we changed rooms (because there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling or our original room) there was some 'special' shampoo left behind and I was told when asking for it, that when any liquids are left behind in a room they are discarded regardless.

Barcelo Huatulco: Great Resort

Clean, lots to do, wonderful place to vacation! Staff fantastic. Excellent views of the ocean. Wished there were more food choices. Food was fair. Looking forward to returning to this resort as we had a wonderful time.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great experience!

The Barcelo Maya is a superb all-inclusive resort experience. The buildings and grounds are lovely; food is top-notch and the employees work hard to keep their guests happy. The resort itself is massive but well designed to maintain walkability from one end to the other. There are SO many activities and places to check out, for adults and kids alike - everything a resort vacation should be but often is not. No disappointments here!

Dreams Huatulco: Love this Resort

This is our second time at Dreams, 3rd in Huatulco. The resort is very clean, the staff is awesome, and the food is good rooms are spacious and clean. There’s Entertainment every night. We did find however that the resort needs some work as a lot of the floor tiles have lifted in the hallways and the World Cafe, could be tripping hazards to the elderly. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Can't beat the swiming

Loved the bay! Swimming/ snorkeling every day not mater the conditions on the sea. Great pleasant staff. Lovely grounds and wildlife. Restaurants were top notch and buffets had a large selection. Lots of activities to do.

Princess Mundo Imperial: Wonderful Resort with Timeless Class & Elegant Service all Around

Our vacation at Princess Mundo Imperial was wonderful. The place is very well kept over the years; extremely clean, no supplies out of stock or missing items. The overall layout is easy to navigate through, despite the size of the grounds. The atrium within the 'pyramid building' can use a bit of redesigning with the large sculptural bench seating taking a bit of space, but overall, the scale and entrance is grand and very welcoming - a great vista from the moment you walk in to the beach fr [... read more]ont - quite spectacular! The leisure pools are designed well, enough lounge chairs for everyone. The palapas at the beach are great - you need to reserve for the day to use but worth it; they will serve you any drinks you wish, so a bonus. Beachfront is some of the best you will ever encounter anywhere in the world - deep set sand front and endless rolling waves are mesmerizing. The food at ANY of the restaurants, not only at Princess Mundo, but at their sister locations (Pierre & Palacio) are some of the best cuisine we have ever had as part of an all inclusive stay - you definitely need to try them all! (Big shout out and big thank you for great service, to both Ivan and Isak at the 4-Diamond Restaurant (or is that 5-Diamond, no doubt!) Tabachin - fabulous food! And Tony, our Sunwing rep was excellent - he helped us with recommendations and day excursions. We loved it so much, we are already planning to return as soon as we can :)

Riu Tequila: Always a great time!

This resort is full of activity. Visiters to the Palace resort could be found at the Tequila Sports Bar enjoying sports not readily available at their resort. No need to pay more when Riu Tequila has it all. We spent time at the Yucatan resort enjoying the ocean and pool. Our stay included the Yucatan and the Playacar (a nice walk on the beach to stop for a refreshment.) Great food, atmosphere, shows and entertainment staff.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great vacay

Staff were all so amazing, grounds were well maintained, pool area, restaurants, beach areas were always being cleaned. Very Mexican and quaint. We will return for sure as this location is perfect, can walk into town via street or beach safely

Barcelo Maya Palace: Surprisingly poor

We had high hopes for the Barcelo Maya Palace. It boasts very high reviews, particularly regarding the quality of food. It was dissapointing across the board. We've visited Mexico eight times. This trip was the most expensive and the lowest quality.
