Playa Pesquero: Great Resort 👍 👌 👍

The Resort is beautiful, the room are pretty good. The pool(s) and beaches are great and beautiful. The food is good to great. I just had misquitos in the room which almost ate me alive though 😅. Staff is very very nice and I honestly loved them all! Some of the best people I have met ❤️❤️❤️ I would definitely go back, if they could gaurantee mosquito free rooms 😆. Thank you for an amazing Vacation people of Cuba and of Playa Pasquero ❤️

Gran Muthu Imperial: Do Not Go to Cuba!

I can’t believe a 5-star hotel in Cuba can be sooo dirty! They definitely have misunderstanding on 5-star. The first day when I stepped into my room, the toilet flushing water spilled everywhere and it kept flushing, loud and gross. The 2nd day when I tried to call the front desk I realized the phone was not working. from 3rd to 5th days, the lights were all off in the hallway, super dark! The buffet place has tons of thousands of flies! They’re everywhere, on food, on plates, drawn in juice [... read more]s, on tables. Every single table on average has 5-10 flies! And the food lack of diversity and taste bad.I got diarrhea everyday! And the travel agency sold me the same excursion twice because they have different names! Also over charged me. It showed the prices were USD85 and USD90, but he charged $90 and $95, I asked him why, he said because it’s converted to CAD. But my credit card showing he charged me USD90 and USD95! I also got bug bites all over my body. I counted, 48 bug bites! Not sure it’s from bed bug or other bugs, but I’m sure it’s different from the other 6 mosquitoes bites on my body!Unbearable. I will never ever go to Cuba!

Grand Memories Holguin: Amazing Resort

This hotel was very clean. The staff was amazing. I would definitely return this hotel on the future. The rooms were well stocked and up to date. There was lots to see on the bus ride to the resort. Give this resort 5 stars

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Not 4 star resort

Beach is excellent. Room was big. That are all good things about this hotel. Food. was for 3 star hotel. a lot of local vegetables but we have to stand in line every lunch and dinner to order meat or fish to cook for us. My daughter was happy anyway because she was able to swim in clear sea every day.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Absolutely Beautiful Resort

The Coral Level Iberostar Selection Esmerelda far exceeded our expectations. Cayo Cruz is incredibly beautiful and has the most amazing beach with the softest white powdery sand, that you can walk for miles. Never an issue to find chairs and a palapa if you are at the Beach before 9am. A bit of a drive from the airport, 1.5 hours on bumpy roads, but you won't regret choosing this resort. Food was not repetitive as we'd read, always lots to choose from, and fresh grilled beef, pork, chicken or fish cooked to your preference. Not many options for a salad, however always sliced tomato and cucumber, different fruits over the week and endless homemade sweets, rice pudding, ice cream, etc. Al a carts Mediterranean and Cuban were both delicious. Lunchtime has several meal options, there are dishes offered at the beach (kept warm on a barbeque), the snack bar close to the beach always has meal options, burgers/hotdogs with occasional days offering pizza and fries. No people brought their own butter and condiments but we were fine without. The Spanish red wine was lovely and a nice treat. The lobby offers an early evening entertainment option with Cuban show or local talent, ie different nights someone playing a guitar, piano, violin and the best was a young lady on a chelo...all were fantastic. We would definately consider this a 5 star for Cuba! Loved it and would return.

Grand Memories Varadero: Very pleasant Resort.

I have few negative comments to make. It was my second stay here. One was before Covid and I must say that little has changed except it's four years older. There is quite a lot of staff . Grounds keepers, house keeping staff etc. My room was kept very clean, fresh towels everyday, bottled water in the fridge as well as beer and a bottle of rum. This was of little interest to me but some people found it great. The only thing which needs to be updated is the bathroom. It is old and looks the same  [... read more]as four years ago. One problem I had was with the wifi reception. Often I could not log on but the hotel had a young lady installed in the lobby to help with that. This needs some attention. All the buildings in the resort are freshly painted and the grounds and pools well maintained. Receptionists were friendly and very helpful especially when the found out that this was my first trip alone. My check out time was extended giving me plenty time to rest and get ready for the flight home because of the very late arriving time in Ottawa. I have to commend the concierge staff for their way they treated me and arranged reservations at the various restaurants in the resort. Food was plentiful, well presented and although some items were not available every day, there was absolutely no shortage of food. Beautiful fruit and salad trays. I am not a great eater but there was always something I liked. All in all I Had a very Pleasant stay. As a foot note. I would like to thank Sandra for the help she gave me arranging this trip and the information she provided helped a lot to make things easier.

Melia Las Antillas: Disappointed!

I don’t like to write negative reviews but I feel like I have to about this resort. The beach was amazing. The resort needs some upgrading but was very clean. The staff was awesome. However, there was no wine all week and very limited spirits. Very limited amounts of food. No butter nor milk for the first few days. The food was terrible. The ALa Cartes were terrible. Very limited variety of food. No pasta! We will not return.

Melia Las Antillas: Wouldn't rate the resort a 4.5 should be rated as a 3

The grounds, beaches and service was great. The food is terrible, I would rate it 5 out of 10. Most times you could not eat the meat it was so tough. There was never no pasta, no condiments, sometimes butter. No white wine. Was not worth waiting for A la carte's . Better to eat at buffet. Menu at the pool restaurant did not change all week. People should be told if they want condiments or peanut butter or jam to bring their own.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Good for price point but….

We got this resort at a discounted price. Currently, selling for 2000$. Value not there for that price. Our air conditioner kept us cool but very noisy and leaked water, a lot of water. We had buckets and towels in the floor. Asked 5 times for someone to address this but never was. People were very friendly and appreciated the tips! No shortages of food or drinks.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Iberostar Holguin

Had an awesome trip to the Iberostar in Holguin from March 29th to April 4th, 2023. The resort was very clean and our Oceanview room was excellent (you could hear the waves crashing on the rocks when you left the balcony doors open). We were in building 24 on the 3rd floor. The beach and pool area were amazing and the bartenders at the pool were so friendly. In fact, all the staff we experienced were very kind and courteous and always were helpful with any questions we had. We really enjoyed the [... read more] food at the resort and while there were shortages (no butter for the week, ketchup on some days...etc), we always had lots of options and we found the food excellent. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this resort. We will definitely be back again for another visit.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Memories Flemenco Cuba

Flight hours were changed from what we originally signed up for…. This caused us problems on the way there & very much so on the way home. 2 hours standing & sweating in the Cuban airport! Got home at 7am … yes I know it is suppose to be a review of the resort!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Another incredible vacation

Every time we go to the Melia Cayo Santa Maria, it's like we are going to our families home. The food was plentiful, a few issues with the power grid, but that is expected. It is actually the first time since we have been there in 13 years. There is no sign of COVID on the island. We were never without water during our 3 stays since November. The entertainment has returned and is very enjoyable We will be returning December 2023 for another 10 day vacation

Melia Costa Rey: Pullman, collections, Cuba

No complaints, enjoyed our stay. Staff was very kind and accommodating Beach was amazing, enjoyed nice Long walks along beach . Rooms were kept tidy and clean . Spent some time by the Pool also . Was impressive We would definitely return

Melia Las Antillas: Very nice hotel

The hotel was very clean the service was amazing the food was good I good right a lot of thing but I will make it short and sweet it is a very nice resort and I will not think twice to go back so all I can say nice nice nice nice nice

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort!

We had an amazing time at the Grand Sirenis Cayo Santa Maria, we were there from March 24-31. We had an ocean view room, stunning view. The weather was fantastic the whole week. The food was good, enough variety and supply, no complaints. The grounds were lush, beautiful, well maintained. Never any problem getting a beach or pool chair, lots available. The beach was gorgeous, lots of room to stroll, the water was crystal clear. Did some snorkelling on our beach, saw fish, crabs, sting rays, star fish, a lobster, all very close to the shore. The staff were very friendly and appreciative of the tips and gifts that we gave to them. Would recommend this resort.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great Resort, amazing beach, fantastic customer service

amazing beach, fantastic customer service, quick resolution to shower issues, A/C etc. Almost immediate response. Special thanks to Yunismy, customer care representative. Great maintenance of the resort in general.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Lovely resort

The resort was lovely. Very clean, well kept both outdoors and indoors. Lovely people. There were supply shortages(some food and no wine) but there were many choices of food. The beach was nice. There were some rocky areas. Plenty of palapas or cabanas. The resort is new so there are some improvements to be made. You had to ask for water and they provided only two beers in the room for the duration of your stay. We hung ours up to dry. I trust there will be improvements in the years to come when the area is complete. It’s a nice place for a low key relaxing vacation.

Hotel Inglaterra: A Happy Stay

This is the oldest hotel in Havana and we have enjoyed our stay there. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was good. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace at night with its lovely views, and the terrace at the front of the hotel, which offered great music throughout the day.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Wouldn’t rate this a 4 or 4.5 star resort

My expectations are not high when travelling to Cuba. I love Cuba the people and their beaches and have travelled there every year (sometimes twice a year) for ten years prior to Covid. First time back. I expected shortages and it is what it is. However I was disappointed in the 1 restaurant we had. Never opened at 7. Always a line up to go in, made it hectic when the doors were open. The food was a little below standard. Not enough tongues for food. They were used for every dish. Cross conta [... read more]mination..no milk, powdered milk which is fine they just need to stir lumps out. End of vacation no milk what so ever. I found lots of veggies to eat, meat was hit and miss and fruit was limited. I love apples so ate them everyday. No bananas. The flies were disgusting. On tables, in food, in glasses on table. Maybe try fly traps. We sat outside for most meals and no flies? Go figure…. As for the rooms, cleanliness for Covid, unfortunately our towels were never changed, I’m ok with 1 change while we are there but they just folded the wet towels and put in rack. One day half way through our holiday we walked in room and commented the cleaning supplies must have arrived because it smelled clean. The rest of days not much done. No soap to wash hands, which they have containers for hand soap, shampoo, body wash etc. all empty. Used our own soap which I expected. Was disappointed there was no hand soap in any washrooms on the resort. There was to be 3 specialty restaurants but only 2. No big deal they were good. Pasta was in short supply. The drive from airport to resort varies from 45 - 11/2 hours depending who is being dropped off at other resorts or picked up on way home. This resort will not be an option for my next trip. I will be looking to Cayo Santa Maria or Cayo coco my favourite spots. Tried something new but will stick with places I’m sure will be a 4.5 resort.

Playa Pesquero: good week

was down for another week this time with sibblings and wifes, were in the premium section , all was good still some shortages but did have problem with dinner 1 night in prem with very p-ooor and un ecceptable sevice, waited over 2 hours for dinner and never did get it, we were beyond hungery. rest was good and nice to see are cuban friends once again, remember there are shortages there beyond there control, and if your good with that you will love it"" trip cental were great as always and spe [... read more]cial thanks to Tammey Bemish for her outstanding service
