Hotel Mojito: Return visit

The friendly staff make this resort a memorable experience. As the resort is 16 yrs old, many staff have worked there since opening. It is showing signs of wear inside rooms & outside buildings. Food is average, repetitious if staying over 1 wk. We stayed on ground floor...convenient because no stairs but musty smelling. I would suggest 2nd or 3rd floors(stairs). Definitely a good deal, if you want a beach or pool vacation with 27-29C temperatures! Main stage is under repair...nightly show is in disco(musty & poor acoustics). As a group of 8, we made amazing friends there & had a good holiday. A few with tummy upset for a day or so. Visit Las Ranchas...a lobster shack nearby on beach. The beach(narrow when tide is in) is beautiful, loungers available, great for walking! If you don't require luxurious detail in a resort, Mojito is for you. The staff try hard to make your vacation special. Most of the people are 50+ who vacation here.

Hotel Playa Coco: had a blast

the hotel was surprisingly nice the room was bigger then i thought the service was great the entertainment was awesome had a blast meeting few of the entertainers the food was great nice to have a 24/7 bar especially after partying all night..the beach was my favourite spent most of my mornings relaxing sipping on some cuba libre(rum nd coke) everything was great had a great vacation !

Tryp Cayo Coco: So So

This resort is in need of repairs. The rooms are outdated. The grounds itself are nice and well maintained but lot's of things to be done to give this resort the WOW factor and pictures to do it justice not ones from 20 years ago. The food I have to say for Cuba was very good, repetitive but always something to eat. The oriental ala carte was no do good but the steak house was fantastic. Hotel Mojito: mediocre resort

everything was clean but could use maintenance. for example the sidewalk bricks needed repair and the walkways across the lagoon also needed repair. some of the chairs and tables needed tlc. The theatre entertainment were pretty much the same show each night just different costumes and it was in the disco not the amphitheatre so it was not that comfortable. food was good and the service was good.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Great getaway...

Where to begin.... the resort is quaint and beautiful. When we look around its like you are in a little village in Italy. The resort is older and a bit worn but it is very clean and stunning. The beach...amazing touquois water and lots of chairs. The food...meh ...very repeatative but the pizza was awesome. The staff were unbelievable. So caring, so amazing and we loved our stay because of them. It's too bad Canadians aren't booking there anymore because the Russians have picked this [... read more] as their resort. All the workers seem very unhappy with this. We heard alot from them. They don't tip ever and get very rude. It's sad because that is important. Sooooo if you book make sure you tip good and love the workers...they deserve it❤

Melia Cayo Coco: Great Service GREAT FOOD !

Great service and great food ! The staff are just soooo nice here beach close and pool great! music amazing too! beds are a little bit hard, but whole experience wonderful. Staff treat you so kindly, we went to visit another resort to look around and realized how good our own was.

Hotel Playa Coco: Very Friendly Resort!

We stayed at Hotel Playa Coco Feb 8-15, my 2 sisters & our Mom. We had a wonderful vacation! First of all the check-in was the best I've experienced at an all-inclusive; we were met in the lobby by a gentleman with the bracelets, putting them on even before we got to the check-in desk. The staff at the desk were very efficient and granted our request to have our rooms next to each other. The valets whisked us away to our rooms very quickly and helped with the luggage. Our beach towels  [... read more]were in the rooms when we got there. The rooms were kept very clean, and we had a fresh bottle of water every day. Getting a lounger on the beach was so easy! The first day we met Michael, who offered to reserve loungers for us, and did so every morning. We also enjoyed the pools, and had no trouble getting loungers. The smaller, quiet pool was our favorite, and the bartender Emir, with his weekend assistant Leo, was the best!! The buffet was well organized, there was plenty to choose from, and food was replenished quickly. We had excellent service from hostess Yeley and waiter Eduardo. The house band was so much fun, they came around to the tables and even let us join in with the maracas! The theatre is being renovated currently, so the entertainment took place in the lobby every evening. There was something for everyone. We also enjoyed sitting in the Yolanda piano bar, all three pianistas who performed there were very talented. We ate at 2 of the a la cartes, the Japanese and the Italian, and the food was excellent at both. Our favorite was the Japanese, the food and the service there was top-notch!! On the down side, the service at the 24 hour snack bar (the Beer garden) was a little slow, but hey, you're on vacation!! Also, fresh towels did not arrive for a few days, but this is to be expected as there is only one laundry for 16 resorts in the area. We brought our own beach towels, and hung them to dry each day. There were a lot of biting "no-seeums" or sand fleas, so bug spray is recommended. Overall we had an awesome time at Hotel Playa Coco!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Place

This resort was perfect for me. The room was comfortable, clean, modern. Loved the big open lobby where i could drink as many cappuccinos as I wanted as I looked out over the beautiful pool and the gorgeous beach just beyond. The ocean water was the most spectacular colour of green and the sand so fine. The resort complex on a whole was just the right size; no getting lost in the hot sun! Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort in Cuba

Very nice resort in Cayo Coco Cuba. Resort is very nice ,clean and very well kept. Staff very friendly and inviting. Day staff get you involved in activities or let you rest in the sun by the pool or beach.This is our second visit to this resort and would recommend it.

What can I say. Resort was top notch. Food was wxcellent, Staff were kind and friendly. Rooms were extra clean. Linen and towels were changed when requested. All of the staff worked hard to please the tourists.

Beach is wonderful. Good food -- buffet restaurant can be quite loud at times during supper hours. The Mediterranean specialty restaurant was very good. The snackbar food is just ok. Chairs at the pool and the beach are a big issue. Rude people go out early in the a:m to put towels and personal items on chairs and save them in 3 different locations depending on their mood. We literally encountered a family of 5 save chairs on the beach in the sun and in the shade as well as more at the pool at [... read more] the same time. Others couldn't ever get chairs. The entertainment was very good. Rooms are bit tired and could stand some "refreshing". Stay in buildings 1, 2 or 3 as they are closest to everything.

Hotel Playa Coco: Nice Resort

The resort was very clean with excellent service. Staff was very friendly and were able to answer all of our enquiries. One of the buildings (45 units), and the theatre are still being renovated along with a new restaurant being built ocean front. Definitely need to bring bug spray as one way to try and defend yourself from the sand fleas. Beach was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs. Day entertainment around the pool was good. The evening entertainment was held in the lobby as the theatre was being renovated. Difficult to find a quiet place outdoors to chat with family/friends in the evening due to entertainment in the lobby. Overall, this resort was good value for the money.

Hotel Vigia: Going back

I've been to the resort a few times. It is smaller and quite nice. The staff are lovely and the entertainment staff are fantastic! The pool is beautiful. It is a great place to chill and restore energy!

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort.

Loved the resort. The staff are wonderful. The food was great. Loved the improvements made to the resort over the past year. The expansion of the beach made a great difference from previous years. The dinner in the International al le carte restaurant for my husband and my anniversary was perfect. This is our 4th year in succession. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Melia Costa Rey: Perfect Getaway with a large family

This resort was one of the nicest all inclusives that I have been to. We've travelled to Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican, Bahamas and Barbados! The food was great and the service was as well. We came with a group of 12 (ages 10 months to 65) and each one of us loved it. We are already planning our next trip there. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful two weeks at Memories Caribe Beach Resort

The resort is very well run - the staff are so friendly and upbeat - Dahomey, Lucinda, Yania, Yulour, Maravis, Yoemi, Wendy, Jessica, Ludia, Hiram, and of course our chambermaid Restysohe, made our stay wonderful. Beach was wonderful, pool was beautiful, and the grounds are very well kept. The food was average Cuban, you won't go hungry, surprised at all the cheese but really missed the Shrimp we had at every meal in Camaquay. Only negative was the bugs. Bring lots of bug spray and make s [... read more]ure you spray it over and over. I forgot one night. :( Over 100 bug bites later, we had to get cups of gin to swab the many bites. `10 days later they are still itchy. Take Bendryl as well. We are still talking about returning again next year - was a restful two weeks.

This hotel was amazing I loved the staff everyone was so accommidating this was our 5 th trip to memories caribe and we very much hope to return again next year. Our rooms were clean the resort was very well kept and the activity staff are always willing to keep you on your feet I really can t say enough about it . What a great resort! Awesome food, amenities and staff! We got checked in quickly and never looked back. We sat pool side with a drink 40 minutes after our plane touched the ground. Amazing! Can't wait to go back.

The hotel was nice very clean. the staff were fantastic people, very helpful and kind the food was only OK the a la cart restaurants were very nice the pool was clean and well taken care of there was lots to do

Firstly do not take airline Cubana. The plane was in need of repair, the lights didn't work then the starter wouldn't start. Took over an hour to get the plane in working order before take off. As for the resort its older but in good shape. The mattresses are very hard, feels like your sleeping on plywood but the rooms were clean and nice. There was good variety of food. Most things were very tasty Staff was very pleasant and informative Exchange rate from CAD-CUP was .67 to .75 depends o [... read more]n which staff member at the front desk gave you the money. But when we came home the rate for the whole week was .76. Beware of that ! Beach was beautiful, shells were coming up a lot because of the wind and waves. Never had an issue to get a chair by the beach or pool. Never line ups at the buffet or bars. Entertainment was great 80% of the people were an older group - 50plus I would recommend this resort if you want peace and quiet.
