Valentin Perla Blanca: Grounds are Prestine!

We stayed at the Valentin Perla Blanca at the end of November 2015. The grounds at this resort is prestine! The workers at this resort was always on top of making sure the floors, tables and gardens were always clean. The rooms were a good size and was always spotless. The restaurants were always replenished and never ran out of food. Managers and Leads were always visual for anyone to speak to with any concerns. They were all very accommodating with your needs. The beach [... read more] area suffered a hurricane storm at the beginning of November taking away most of the beach area at the entrance way...but walking along towards the right of the resort was the usual beautiful white sandy beach...Kite surfers dream beach :-)

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful Vacation Spot

Everything at the hotel was clean and lovely. We especially loved the beachside dining at lunch...the BBQ everyday was something to look forward to. The main pools and the infinity pool had a great view of the ocean. Super staff throughout the resort and the lobby entertainment was top notch.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing and relaxing

Many new updates, food terrific, spa side for adults only is so relaxing. Massages inexpensive and terrific. Staff is amazing and are always there to offer you refreshments. Wifi now available which is a huge improvement. In Cuba I think this is one of the best resorts

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Great value for your $

I had a lot of fun. The entertainment team was amazing especially if you love to dance. The staff was very friendly. Service at all bars was amazing. The rooms were clean and the maids did a great job to keep rooms clean and were super friendly. The for was ok. The chefs at the buffet tried their best to custom make orders and to satisfy. The beach is a piece of paradise on earth.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Good for Cuba

This a very beaytiful hotel located in a wonderful place. This said, it need some maintenance to be back to what a call a 5 stars. Service is great. My older daughter is peanuts allergic and servers take it very seriously.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort to Relax

Good buffet with lots of choices, but I was not impressed with the food in both a la carte restaurants. Club Cubano Los Flamencos near the beach had great pizzas and pasta. Very friendly service.Good evening entertainment.

Memories Paraiso: Great resort

Well maintained grounds pool public washrooms hotel staff attentive and friendly. any small issues we had which were few were rectified immediately. Nightly shows need work. We would most definitely return

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great week in Cuba!

This was my third trip to Cuba, first time in Santa Maria! Everything about this resort was great.... The service, the beach, the variety of drinks, the variety of restaurants. The number of pools was also nice.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Incredible value!!

This hotel exceeded my expectations!! The hotel was very clean, especially my room and the pools! The staff went above and beyond to make you happy and comfortable. The beach was very clean with lovely warm water. We always had a chaise lounge whether it was in sun or shade. Food was actually good I always found something to eat and dined at the a la cartes. The Asian and Italian were my favourites. The evening shows were actually not that tacky, the dancers were highly trained and professional. [... read more] The Michael Jackson show is a MUST SEE!! For what I paid the value was incredible! Always entertained and never hungry everything was perfection!

Melia Las Dunas: Good Choice

Pleasantly surprised. Property has a lot to offer and was clean and safe. Food and service was very good. Adult pool was fun and relaxing. Beach was great and was safe to walk/run everyday. Lots of entertainment.

Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful beach

The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. Our gardener, Juan Manuel, greeted cheerfully us every morning as he worked. Staff were generally very friendly. Despite all the sand that followed us into our room, Yaima, our cleaner, did a good job of keeping up with it. We enjoyed several catamaran rides with the great staff at the Punto Nautico. We chose this hotel over several others (and paid a little more) because it offered archery. My son learned a lot from Yadniel, our archery instructor, [... read more] but we were very disappointed to learn that archery was canceled before the end of our stay and will no longer be offered. Staff at the buffet were all friendly and by the end of our stay, Ivania and Alexander were anticipating many of our needs. That being said, we did tip fairly after every meal. The artistic pancake lady, whose name I have forgotten, left my son with a huge smile at breakfast everyday as she made him artistic pancakes with designs of fish or boats on them. We were very surprised to be told on three different occasions in one week that fresh pool towels were unavailable. This included the day we arrived, which prevented us from going to the beach until the second day, despite having arrived at the resort in the early afternoon. Unfortunately, we often had the sense that tips were expected for a simple service, like getting a beverage at the bar, or participating in an activity, and that made an "all inclusive" vacation feel a little uncomfortable at times, and be a little more expensive than I had anticipated.

Went for a beach wedding. The beaches were beautiful. Service was great, and the people always seemed to be in great spirits. Our room was fine and we had an amazing maid take care of us. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about. Got to see a lot iguanas which was cool. All in all, it was a pretty awesome time with great people.

overall... a good value for the dollar, the staff was excellent from Roberto meeting you to the check in staff and the maids. And not to mention the General Manager was always engaging. The hotel is getting tired, but still ok for the value. If not sooner than later, this hotel might get to a point where it may be too late to fix up, so please keep up. The beaches are fantastic and beautiful. My wife and I will be back to this hotel soon.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Super Nice Resort!!

The staff ,the grounds, pools, food, beach, room and service is second to none in Cuba. Bldg 15 provides an amazing, central location to all activities. .. al a carte restaurants are great, Public Relations rep, Marta Maria Diaz was most helpful to us. Can't wait until we can visit again.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful Resort, food lacking!

Resort was beautiful, pools were well maintained, beach was very narrow. Food was terrible, been to Cuba 6x previously and never had issues with food, there was always something to eat. There water filtration system was not working properly and almost everyone on the resort was sick with stomach issues. Out of almost 30 people on our bus back to the airport, only 2 had not been sick.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Service

It is a great place to stay at, service was excellent, food was excellent, staff were very professional, there is nothing to complain about and for sure if i go back to Cuba it will be the place that i will go back.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: A week between 2 different resorts

I recently spent a week at Cayo Santa Maria, booked through Sunwing, my favourite airline for all inclusive vacations. Firstly would like to say thanks to the Sunwing staff, they always make me feel like I am on vacation! Bright, friendly cheerful flight attendants. Initially I had booked Playa CSM for the week. Lovely clean, modern hotel, no complaints at all, staff were wonderful. After 4 nights, i moved to Melia Las Dunas next door. Some friends were staying there and seemed to be having more [... read more] fun than me, so I decided it wouldn't hurt to try it, so I moved. I found Las Dunas to be more vibrant, preferred the food there and it had more of a Cuban vibe. It's an older hotel so not as pristine as Playa, but I'm not a fussy person. I went solo and as a 51 year old married woman, felt safe always at both resorts. I'm looking at trip central as I write this review, may go back to CSM as early as next week. I may go back to Playa a second time, I know I can easily switch to the Melia very easily. The Sunwing rep was excellent at the Resort and arranged my move quickly and easily with very little cost to me. To summarize, I would say, for mature couples, Playa is perfect but for the young at heart, Melia Las Dunas was more upbeat and fun. Thanks again Sunwing!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Nice and quet resort

Rooms are clean with adequate storage space.. Shower curtain looked soiled and inside bathroom door was spotty with some stains .Bedspread had a blood stain. I did enjoy meeting resort staff and every interaction with resort staff was a pleasant one . I will go back there any time . Food was ok, you need to match food groups.

We had our wedding here and it went very well. Only thing I would say to make it better is if the ceremony was further down the beach away from the bar so its a little more private but all in all great place. Food was good the resort and pools were awesome and the people were very nice and fun. They came out and danced at our reception and made the night even better.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: The hotel was amazing.

I liked a lot. The hotel has beautiful gardens but also preserved the nature from the islands around. The swimming pools are beautiful in front of the ocean what gives you a sense of peace and beauty. The buffet restaurant was very good. The beach restaurant has a nice barbecue, some hot dishes , salads and fruits. I was very pleased about the fruits. The wine was better than other hotels I went before. I have no complains and I plan to come back sometime.
