Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort!

We just came back from an amazing vacation at the Grand Bahia Principe Ambar Green yesterday( march 30 to april 6). It is an adult only resort with unlimited a la carte restaurants. Our favorites were the Don Pablo and the Japonese Maiko. With all the other Grand Bahia resorts together, it is huge, but we don't mind it, we love walking and the properties are very clean and beautiful! The beach is amazing! The staff are very nice but their english is very limited compare to other resorts we've be [... read more]en too. I wish i could learn a bit more spanish so we could chat with them more. It was our forth vacation at a Grand Bahia Principe resort and we were not disappointed with our choice! 😎😎

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort!

Very large resort, with trolley transportation to various points. There was beautiful sand onthe beach, but the sea here is not so beautiful, with a small sectioned off area for swimming and some stones underfoot. The pools,on the other hand were really nice, the food was good and there were snack bars at the pools and not too far from the beach ,which were like small restaurants, with a good variety of food, so you never went hungry and you didn't have to return to your room to get dressed [... read more] and go to the main buffet. Just put on a beach cover-up and your flip-flops and you're set. There were no shows on some nights; they would have karaoke instead, at 9 PM The a la carte restaurants were great, especially the Mediteranean and the Gourmet.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort!!

This was our first trip ever and it was amazing!!!The resort is beautiful, clean and the service was amazing. You will never go hungry and never get bored, so many things to see and do. The beaches are gorgeous and the people we met were amazing. Thank u Laura for suggesting this place to us we look forward to going on another trip next yeat!!!!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort, but...

The rooms and the food were excellent. Because of heavy rains the previous week the beach was inaccessible. I arrived on Tuesday and couldn't get in the ocean until Saturday. Silt, muck and debris washing up on shore. No English speaking TV at all...problem with the cable company they said. I don't go on vacation to watch TV but do enjoy news channels early in the morning and maybe a movie late at night.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great resort!

The resort is great,the grounds are perfect and beautiful,the service was great.It is very big but there was never a problem going to and from the beach on the trolleys.The only critique i have is the wine it was not good it tasted like it was diluted.Bottled wine at a la carte was better.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: An amazing trip

The resort was wonderful. The staff did everything they could to pamper us and the food and drinks were more than adequate. The resort was clean neat and tidy. The buildings were all impressive and very useful.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Truly a 5-Star Resort

This was our first time staying with Bahia Principe Akumal. Every aspect of our trip was 5-star all the way. The restaurant meals were delicious and artistically plated; almost too beautiful to eat. Our room was exactly as we'd asked for with an amazing view of the beach and water and infinity pool. With a resort this large, they had shuttles going all over to the sister resorts. I don't think we ever waited more than 5 minutes for one to come by. I must say that the staff was professional [... read more] and super friendly; so eager to help with anything you needed. The beach was so pretty with swarms of fish to entertain everyone very close to the beach. We are big beach walkers and this resort had no restriction on how far we chose to walk. This was by far the nicest resort we've ever stayed with. We'll be returning to this one.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Worth the money but a bit too big!

This resort was clean and welcoming. The grounds were well taken care of and the staff were mostly pleasant. We found the bar staff unable to keep up to demand and would frequently disapear, one time it took nearly an hour to get a refill. The food was okay, not fantastic. The pools were well maintained and fun! The resort itself is huge, so going anywhere took a ton of planning in order to not have to walk back to retrieve anything forgotten. The babysitter and kids club were amazing!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent Vacation

Great vacation! The staff were very friendly,accommodation was modern and clean and the food/drinks were great. The beach area was sheltered from the waves and well marked to avoid deep or rocky areas. The pools had great swim up bars and the wait time wasn't too long at the bar. We appreciated that there were several security guards to stop locals from coming up onto beach and selling trinkets to the tourists. The Japanese teppanyaki was excellent! I would highly recommend everyone book th [... read more]at restaurant. Our package was booked through Air Transat. They made travel to and from the resort simple and well organized. We had no issues whatsoever and they had plenty of staff at the airport/resort to ensure you had a good stay. One thing that the hotel could have done better was replace shampoo, soap, conditioner etc every day as opposed to upon request.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Enjoyable Vacation

We enjoyed the green surroundings and the local wildlife around this resort, we found the food in the buffet and other restaurants very good plus excellent service everywhere. Beach is approximately 2 km away but can easily be reached by tram. Our room was comfortable but could use a little more drawer or shelf space and better lighting in the bathroom

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome

The beach was beautiful and the staff was super friendly. The excursion with "Sammy" of Bavaria Runners for the day was worth every penny. The a le carte restaurants were superb. Definitely planning to go here again.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing resort!!

The Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia is a beautiful resort, and definitely caters to families. The buffet provided many great options for both adults and children. There are several a la cartes (would recommend contacting the hotel 2 weeks prior if you want to ensure a particular a la carte). There are many activities for the kids at the main pool, water park, kids club, and great entertainment in the evening. There is a nightly "castle show" at 1000pm that is definitely worth watching! I did find that sometimes you would have to wait a bit to get water/drink refills at the buffet (particularly at peak times, which I found very understandable). Our family of four had an amazing trip, and we look forward to our next trip there.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Large & Loud

Very Very Large resort, loud loud music all day long, if you want to be on the go all the time with loud music and kids, this is the resort for you. If you want to rest and have some peace go elsewhere. The resort is beautiful and very clean, but the pools are full of kids, they have no respect for other people in the pool. Its very hard to find any shade both at the pool and at the beach. Way to many people in one place, its like 5 resorts under one umbrella. If we had kids it might have b [... read more]een alright but as a couple who just wanted to relax and have some fun under the sun it was not the resort for us. The staff were all very kind and pleasant and the food was good.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful holiday

I have been to this resort 4 times now. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a gorgeous selection of palm trees and flowering shrubs. My friend and I were staying at Ambar Blue and the pool area, beach and surrounds were lovely. The beaches were clean and on the 2 days when seaweed was washed ashore (in 11 days), the staff was quick to rake and remove it from the area. The restaurants were fine to excellent. Our room was clean, maintenence was excellent and the beds comfortable. The staff was excellent overall. Although we were disappointed in the initial greeting when checking in. The gentleman on the front desk lacked customer service skills and made the process very frustating. After travelling for more than 5 hours, a more welcome process was expected. Our only unfortunate experience occured on the last night of our trip. We had retired to bed when we were awoken an hour later by the door opening, the lights turning on and two men walking in with their suitcases. The only reason that we didn't panic was that they were so obviously shocked. They left immediately and we reported the incident the next morning at the front desk. The reaction was rather blase and so we reported again to a gentleman at the front of the lobby. I believe his name was Edgar. He apologized and took all the particulars and promised to look into this breach of security. We will however, always put the chain on the door in future trips. Overall though a wonderful holiday at a lovely resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great Resort Experience

We are just back from a Feb 27 - April 3 stay. Like most people I did a bit of research before deciding on the resort we would go to. Although not all reviews on TA for Ambar Green were super positive, most were and I have to support those reviewers who had a good experience - we certainly did. Without hesitation I would recommend a stay at Ambar Green. Construction alert though.....we were lucky to have a room poolside in Ambar Green. Rooms that faced the construction next door (very noisy  [... read more]and dusty) in Ambar Green or Ambar Blue likely did not enjoy their experience as much. Make sure you request a poolside room or one not facing the construction through your agent and/or directly with the resort. They give no guarantees, but it might up your chances. We had perfect weather, the beach was wonderful, the accommodations were great, the pools were plentiful and fun to be at, and overall the food was very good - so what's not to like! We found the service to be very good everywhere on the resort - offer up a friendly face and you got lots of smiles and great service in return. We spent our time between the beach and the pools - we preferred the pool at Ambar Blue - a bit more shade and more fun. And get over it - yes you have to get up early to reserve a spot at the beach or the pool if you want a prime shady location. Heck you are in paradise - get out of bed and enjoy it:))! The beach and water are amazing - great swimming. The buffets and A la carte restaurants were all good. Our only bad experience was at the French restaurant Don Pablo on our first night - we had no food after 1.5 hrs, so we left and went to the buffet. I assume they had some issue in the kitchen - we complained, but never got a response. Our last night was at El Olivo - which was awesome. The others were in between - awesome to okay. Tipping - there are lots of thoughts on how much and when - suit yourself. We appreciate good service and tip accordingly. Getting around - this is a very large resort complex - 7 resorts. The journey from Ambar Green to the beach is about 10 minutes walking at a good pace. We are active people, so we opted for this. There are lots of trains/carts to take you wherever you want to go if walking is not your thing. Staying active - the gyms are very poorly equipped, so be aware if you are planning that as your main exercise activity. But if you are a runner/walker - lots of paths to run on/walk on to get in a 5/6K loop within the resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best resort we have ever been to, bar none.

The rooms were spacious and they were always clean and well stocked with all the necessary amenities. We have returned for the third time and it definitely will not be the last. We enjoyed the pools and we are impressed with the way your staff are constantly cleaning and catering to our needs.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Clean and fun!

My family and I just returned from 5 days at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaria resort. It was lovely! Clean and fun, with a great friendly staff. It's a monster of a resort though, not that it bothered us. My two kids can't wait to go back!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: First Impressions Matter

Our room backed on to a noisy construction site. When we arrived the key didn't work and there was a linen bag on the bed. The next day a drip from the pot light in the bathroom, ended up being tons of water under the drop ceiling that was emptied onto the bathroom floor by the repair guy. Asked for a new room. Didn't get on until day 4. Room was a nice pool view. Called for help a few times. Calls were transferred several times to find an english speaking aid. Food was good except for  [... read more]the Barbecue A la Carte. Beach was busy but beautiful. Resort was clean. Happy that we were at the Green section with a bit quieter pool area. We will not be returning.

Everthing is great we enjoy the time service really gud food is good to and drink and resturnt food is good to soo we enjoy all the stay and we have fun and my son like the pool and beach and we went to snorkly and chonte

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: My family loved the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal!

This is an extremely well kept hotel. The grounds were immaculate with some interesting wildlife to see daily (iguanas, coatis, sereques). The public areas were clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, the buffet had incredible variety, even for my son, who is a picky eater. The rooms were very nice. I had a few ants in mine, but we're in hot weather, so some of that is to be expected. The pools were very clean and the water was a nice temperature. Extra swim up bars would be nice, but th [... read more]e wait wasn't too long at the one there was. The beach was nice - sand not as soft as somewhere like Cuba, but still ok. The seaweed was raked up daily and you could do some snorkelling right off the beach. The shuttles around the resort were frequent, which was convenient on days on which we were too tired to walk from our lobby to our villa (or vice versa). I've stayed at a Sandals in St Lucia and I loved the Bahia Principe Akumal as much, if not more. All in all, it was lovely. The only bad thing I can say is that my trip wasn't longer :)
