Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Good.

The resort itself was very nice... long walks but very beautiful... food was an issue... no flavour, at the buffet and resturants. Beach was amazing!! Definite ups and downs to resorts. One thing we struggled with was being locked out of the room for 36 hours... yes we had to stay with our friends for a night wearing dress clothes finally we climbed rhe balcony to get in. Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful Resort

This was my 3rd time returning to this resort! I have been to Santa Maria 6 times and I would have to say this resort is one of the best. Beach: the beach speaks for itself, it's one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Clear blue, clean, and white sand! What more can you ask for! Food: going to Cuba you can't expect 5 star food, the food isn't the best, but also isn't the worst! They have a good selection for everyone. I never had any problems all 3 times I have returned to this resort with the service.. The employees are polite, will go above and beyond to make you happy and always have a smile on their faces! Pools: there are 2 sides to this resort, unfortunately when I went one side was always closed - due to it being low season. The one side I did stay on was beautiful. 2 big pools, swim up bar and very clean.. There are activities that go on everyday to keep people entertained.. Lots of chairs!!! Not every resort has!! Entertainment: This resort has the BEST entertainment!!! You I'll never see any of them without smiles on their faces, they will do whatever it takes to make you happy.. I would like to thank a few of them for everything they did every time I returned, Lisy, Lilly, Leydis, Yani, Yuri, Yalier, Jenny, Roli, Aldo & Junior!!! Let's not forget the best DJ everrrrrr: Aynel!!!!!!!!!! From the best beach parties to the best entertainment!!! Management: One thing I will mention and was disappointed in. I went the week of Halloween and they advertised this huge "Halloween party" that never happened!!! They had posters all around the resort, the Facebook page had it advertised and the day of Halloween there was no party!! You would think because nationally it was cancelled they would explained that to their customers!! I understand Cuba is different from Canada and we don't celebrate the same holidays, but you should be advertising something and the. Don't mention that it's cancelled and have NOTHING! There were A LOT of disappointed people!! Overall this resort is a really beautiful, clean and i would return back.. Management should be extremely impressed with the staff here and cut a bit more slack for them...

Melia Las Dunas: Family Family Resort

I took my daughter. Found that a lot of the restaurants had shorter hours than I was use to. Dinner buffet didn't open till 7pm which is her bedtime. She loved the kid area and friendly staff all around.

Valentin Perla Blanca: VPB

I honestly thought the resort was ok, we didn't have water Saturday or half of Sunday the buffet food was gross. and only one of the pools were open, it wasn't even the one that was advertised. we never had clean towels, and the snack bar was probably the best food, the beds were too hard.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Good Resort

Grounds clean & nice. Rooms good. Service excellent. Food good; BBQ lunch at the beach restaurant was great. Snuck over to Les Dunas for a few meals. Better food there/ but slower service. Rooms show signs of aging, especially the washroom doors.

Memories Paraiso: Amazing beach!

The beach was breathtaking!.The taichi was very god.Entertainment was.excelllent!The rooms were impressive.Rooms were very clean!.Staff was helpful.The hobbycats rides were good quality fun time!.Chairs were plenty at the beach.Hotel was extremely clean!Cooks were very polite and talented.Waiters were so kind and eager to serve us promptly.

Melia Las Dunas: Best Resort I Have Stayed At

This resort was amazing. This was my tenth visit to Cuba and the Melia Las Dunas was by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. The pools are huge and spotlessly clean. The room was lovely (second floor, 51 block), the bathroom was a really nice size and there was a lot of room for sitting. The food was very good with three omelet stations in the morning and grills for grilling whatever kind of meat you like during lunch and dinner. The lobby is very large and spacious and a wonderful place to go to have a drink or two before dinner. There was always some type of entertainment going on in the lobby bar prior to dinnertime. I will definitely return to this amazing resort.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Great Resort.....lots bugs/jellyfish

Nov 7-14th - 1.5hrs bus ride to hotel was fine, hotel very nice and clean, rooms are decent, pool was nice, Beach was beautiful, Staff were nice, Food was fine. Downside: no activities all week, lots of bug bites and tons of people got stung by jellyfish. I dont regret it but would not return.

Beautiful resort, fantastic beach and amazing staff! If you're looking to create amazing memories, this is the place to go. Everything was perfect the entire week. I'll be going back to this resort!!!

Memories Paraiso: Great time, great people, great resort.

This is the second time at Memories Paraiso Azul resort. I had a great time, the beach was unreal. Everyone that worked at the resort were amazing could not have asked for anything more. The excursions were fun. We'll be going back again

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort! Perfect Wedding location

We had our wedding here in November 2015. The entire process was very well organized. I would recommend for anyone looking to get married in Cuba. The hotel is huge, our room was a 15 minute walk from the lobby and the carts were difficult to get to come and pick you up. I didn't mind walking because the resort is like a jungle and there is so much to see. The pool area is beautiful and clean. We spent most of our time on the Megano beach and I would recommend walking up the beach to the quieter [... read more] part as it is absolutely gorgeous. The food was OK, if you are looking for amazing food I would pay for the colonial restaurant as it is worth every penny, the steak there was incredible. There is always entertainment in the lobby. The lobby bar makes amazing drinks. order a "Rudy Special" from Rudy there!

Memories Paraiso: Good time!

The resort in itself is lovely....typical of all the down south hotels and Cuban style. ROOMS: The mattress was awful. I had to put a thick blanket under the sheet to give me a little fluff under my hip. The rooms were clean and simple. Umbrella and iron in room. I usually bring a couple of dryer sheets just to remove any smells the room may have. FOOD: we always found something to eat, lots of cold salads. We made sure we had a bog breakfast. The A la cartes were a little bit better but service was SOOOOO SLOW, and they kept saying that they were busy and this was their OFF SEASON - we were there Oct 23-Nov 1, 9 days! BEACH: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! Water was clear and shades of blue, sands were white and soft. Get the blue chairs on the beach, they're softer than the plastic white ones, OUCH!! Armando at the bar closer to the Diamond club (but not the Diamond Club bar) was AMAZING!!! We tipped him everyday we were there and he kept bringing us drinks throughout the day and played our music on the speakers! Thanks ARMANDO!!! ENTERTAINMENT: MJ show was great. We were there over Halloween and a Scary Haunted show was scheduled, but last minute it was changed and we watched some Romantic show, BOOOOO! Typical, it was something to do after dinner and before going to the disco. DISCO: There is one disco that is about a 5minute walk from the hotel through the resort pass to the market. 5 pesos to get in and it includes 2 drinks. We were there about 5 or 6 of the 9 nights just to do something. Made friends with the entertainment staff from Memories and StarFish so we were well entertained. They played all our requests and we had a good time, though it got quite tiring by the 5th time we went. WEATHER: We lucked out BIG TIME!! It was showing clouds and some scattered showers before we left but the weather network kept changing.....we had 9 FULL DAYS OF SUN!!! NO RAIN!!! It was AMAZING and made up for all the poor food, and mattress issues I had. I wouldn't go back but I had a good time.

This resort was superb. Staff very friendly and accommodating in all areas. Beaches beautifully kept. Pool areas were always maintained and offered all services. Plenty of variety in foods available. Great place for destination wedding!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort

Just returned from two weeks at Playa Cayo Santa Maria. The hotel was great value for money. The staff couldn't have been better. Our room was clean and well looked after. Food was very good, no complaints. All the restaurants were excellent. Good selection of drinks and coffees at the bar. If you have a walking disability the beach is a little tricky to get down to. Once you get there its beautiful.

Memories Paraiso: nice place but run down

Place was pretty run down definitely needs a major face lift only the one side was open would like to have been over on the Azul side. Pool was super clean, the ocean was pristine, the food was great the service was exceptional .the downfall side the women's Pool bathroom was little to be desired never any toilet tissue or hand tissue NEVER EVERYDAY. Did not have any Pool Towels for days. Not sure what Diamond Club included did not get anything special and they seemed to never have any Premium d [... read more]rinks. Price was the factor for a quick getaway in the sun and relaxation.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Peaceful paradise

The Royalton Cayo Santa Maria lives up to its hype. This is our 5th time to Cuba in a 5 star resort and we WILL be back. Our only regret was leaving. It is beautiful. From the pools, to the gardens, to the restaurants, to the suites/cabanas, everything is very thoughtfully laid out, ensuring a maximum of privacy and beauty at every turn. The staff are first rate. The beach is spectacular - I think this resort has the best strip of sand and water on the entire stretch of beach! The sand is like talcum powder. The food is terrific - and beautifully presented. We were a bit nervous having only a la carte restaurants available, but the food was very good. And we appreciated that they served Cuban food along with other international cuisine. The entertainment (in the restaurants at dinner and in the lobby evenings) was first rate. We usually never note the entertainment, but here, it was very good. There is a marketplace between this resort and one next to it where there is a spa and gym, as well as many gift shops, stores and (pay for) restaurants/bars. It was an interesting concept and one that makes a lot of sense as you got a fair bit variety. This is a quiet resort, so if you are looking to party, this is not the place for you. This is also a small resort, so if you want lots of people and places (restaurants/pools/stores, etc.), this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a little slice of paradise, put this place on your list.

Weather was excellent during our stay and the food was as expected for going to Cuba.....excellent place to go with a group of friends but there was little to do, on the resort. I had a good time but will likely not return to cuba

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: One of the Best in Cuba!

The Royalton in an amazing resort with all the amenities that a person could need or want while on vacation. We found the beach delightful, the pools relaxing, the grounds well groomed, the rooms very comfortable and the staff over the top! For those that enjoy a cigar while in Cuba, this resort has ample places to light up while not bothering those that are not interested or you can head over to the Casa Habanos. We met up with some friends staying next door at Memories Paraiso Azul for coffee  [... read more]and a cigar each morning in the "La Casa del Habano" at Pueblo La Estrella, which is about a 200m walk from the lobby. This top notch operation has Miguel gladly rolling you a fresh cigar, Eddy or William guiding you thru the selection in the humidor and Luis refreshing you with a cervesa or a Cuba Libre. Air conditioned, comfortable leather chairs and friendly staff make your visit a pleasant place. We will be returning again!!!!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: fantastic experience

The hotel was very clean, staff was amazing and we are already looking to go back in april. The beach was great with beautiful white sand. Went deep sea fishing and cought some monsters in the ocean. Had a great all around experience

Memories Paraiso: Relaxed setting.

The room was dated buy clean, staff were friendly and helpful, food was repetitious and of average quality but we never left hungry. The Mediterranean restaurant was awesome. The beach was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend this resort if looking for average accommodations at low prices. Had a relaxing week.
